agatha finale rant

so I’ve been seeing a lot of people complaining about the finale of Agatha and I wanted to give my two cents on their main points: 

1. “they used agatha’s show as a way to promote a man!!” well yes! that’s how marvel tv works im afraid. or any tv, really. wandavision was used to introduce agatha and monica, which led to their projects in the mcu (aaa, marvels). agatha introduced billy, leading to his future in visionquest or his solo series, which will introduce tommy and vision, which will lead to children’s crusade to reintroduce wanda. this is common for any tv show, but especially a big, connected franchise like marvel. i find it so concerning that even after all the promotion that showed us billy and agatha as co-leads, people were STILL shocked when the finale sets up a future story centered around him. like i hate to break it to yall but marvel wants money. and more shows means more money.

2. “they killed off a lesbian woman and not the gay man!” first of all, in the comics, agatha is a spirit guide for the scarlet witch. this form is her most comic accurate yet. also, did yall really think that was an unfair ending? or an ending PERIOD? all her death made me think of was the possibilities for the future with both billy AND rio. and again; rio was promoted as the ‘antagonist’ to agatha since the beginning. i don’t know how people went into this excepting a happily ever after for these two. they were always depicted as tragic lovers, and i honestly think the kiss of death was beautiful and poetic. i also don’t think this is the last we’re seeing of rio. and, as a side note, homophobia is still not okay! it doesn’t matter if you’re also gay; lesbians can be homophobic towards gay men, and gay men can be lesbophobic towards lesbians. and i’ve seen wayyyy too much of both in this fanbase. you can criticize characters and critique actors without bringing up their sexuality. we have enough incel homophobes doing that for us

3. if you’re still complaining about wanda not coming back i have no hope for you

4. this show, since day ZERO, was promoted as a show with billy and agatha as coleads. while i wish we had more backstory for how agatha and rio met, the salem flashbacks involving nicholas, the road scheme, and the song were much more important to the show. the parallels between nicky and billy were explored throughout the season a lot more than agatha and rios story (whether or not you like it, it’s still true (i personally wish we had a bit more on how they met 😭))

5. sending hate to actors about things their characters did is STILL not okay! and never will be!

6. this might be a hot take but if you’re only watching a show for a ship and don’t care about the story at all your opinion is irrelevant to me. like people who started watching after it was revealed in the show that agatha and rio were lovers (because, correct me if i’m wrong, this was never revealed before the episodes dropped) have no right to be upset when the show focuses on other things. and this is coming from a MASSIVE fan of agathario. and a lesbian. i loved the fact that i was watching characters who just happened to be lesbians have their own story. yes, i wish there was more agathario in the flashbacks. but i’m really not upset at all by what we got. and don’t get me wrong, people have every right to be disappointed, but they don’t have the right to hate on the creators and actors of the show. that’s not cool.

Spooky Action at a Distance (E) - @zehwulf

This fic grabbed me by the throat and thrashed me like a chewtoy. And then it put a hello kitty bandaid on my wounds and sung me sweet sweet lullabies. No actually though I have reread parts of this fic twice in the last week because my demisexual genderqueer heart went "yes this appears to be tailor-made crack cocaine. we should injest through our eyeballs repeatedly." Read the tags and be prepared to cry. But also be prepared for disgustingly tender feelings and smut hotter than the sun.

Listen. I know I'm sooooo unfashionably late to this party about this actors AU fic. But (Scottish!) Crowley discovering his sexual orientation and diving in full send with the giddiness of a love drunk teenager is just. Muah. Kissing this fic on the forehead. It does that "realizing you're queer and your whole life making wayyyy more sense all of a sudden" thing so well and with so much grace and humour. Also Aziraphale being the most incorrigible little flirt. Featuring regency costumes, awkward boners and existential crisis. I want to curl up at this fic's feet like a smug little cat.

Crazy Little Thing (Called Love) (T) - @hermiola

The way I adore this chaotic, bitchy bicker flirting romp. The characterization is just unbelievable, this is exactly how I could see the events of their foray into "dating" going. Preposterous, ridiculous, and perfect. Also possibly the cutest first kiss in existence (the setting for the kiss had me particularly tickled, i read that scene 4 times.) Dumbass4dumbass was never so adorable. They literally bicker while kissing. 10000/10

Whatever We Deny or Embrace (E) - @voluptatiscausa

Sigh. This fic. This fucking fic. Set in 1020AD. The start of the arrangement if it was the most soul-flayingly tender thing you've ever read. The amount of yearning and love and whispered sweet nothings. I'm gonna die. Nothing has ever been described as "lovemaking" more accurately than what these two pining goobers get up to in this fic. Also I could eat this prose like pop rocks. My mouth actually salivates when I read vol's words. Also "big juicy carrot." You'll understand when you read it.

It's crazy how Alice creates the most diverse but also relatable characters. There are characters of different sexual orientations, different races, genders, mental illnesses, family life and eating disorders. They're all so different??? but there's something that binds them all together. For example, I relate to Tao and his love for films but I also relate to Georgia with her loyalty to her friends, and I relate to Tori but I relate to Frances and her obsession to do well in school and not be a disappointment, but I relate to Lister but I... They're all different, but there's something so familiar about them and you can see similar traits in each of them in yourself. you're never just one character, but a perfect mix of a bunch of them. I feel like a collage or mosaic of my favourite characters. Not just the four of them, but all the characters, like Aled Last, Micheal Holden and Elle Argent.

Alice Oseman's characters radiate comfort and warmth. Her books give the same vibes as curling up in you're cozy messy bed after an exhausting day at school or work, buried under a mountain of blankets when it rains or snows outside. The months between September and February when the sun sets early and you get to wear extra layers of clothes like that oversized black hoodie to cover your face from the unfamiliar or jean jacket covered in fandom pins. Returning to your room filled with artifacts from your childhood, old middle-grade fantasy books you haven't touched in like four years but wouldn't sell or donate because they mean too much, book reports and DIY science projects from 3rd grade and that movie poster filled haven where you could leave the stresses of the real world behind.

All the lights are off, except for those fairy string lights above your bed. You're sipping a hot cup of tea or hot chocolate, rereading your old favourite books you loved as a teenager and watching that old favourite film that you've seen so many times that you can remember all the dialogue to, but you watch it anyway. Listening to that carefully curated 90s indie rock playlist from 2019 to drown out and forget the world outside. listening to artists like cavetown, girl in red, the 1975, Arctic monkeys, phoebe bridgers and the smiths. staying up wayyyy too late, the only light being the screen of your laptop or phone, reading fan fiction on AO3 while your whole family's asleep. That warmth and authenticity that you don't find much in modern media. The nostalgia. How she accurately portrays what actual teenagers are like, both the good and the bad. and every other feeling in between. confusion and the odd feelings of growing up, especially how characters like georgia and Nick never realized their sexualities until later (it can be nerve-wracking to figure something out), but also people who have known who they are since forever like frances and charlie. knowing yourself but also feeling like a complete stranger in your body. i don't know how, but even if you're reading it for the first time, @chronicintrovert books have the feeling of returning home.

ONE MORE NIGHT FNAF AU CHARACTERS - THE SUIT - Part 1

Above is the SpringBonnie suit from my FNAF AU/rewrite called "ONE MORE NIGHT".

This is the first of many posts showing off some of the characters designs. I will talk more about the AU itself in other posts, however since this is the first I might as well give a basic rundown, it will be at the bottom of this post. William Afton himself will get his own post but this is just about his suit.

Anyway. This is the SpringBonnie suit from my FNAF rewrite!

I never really liked the completely butt naked suits, it always looked really weird to me. Generally when i draw the other animatronics I stick to the basic canon design (without the clothes), but with Springbonnie I realllyyyy prefer the design with some clothing over the top. idk why, it just makes him look siller.

Also if those things are being worn, I can imagine they're stinking hot during the summer, and I know the three piece suit is probably no better for keeping cool but at least he looks cool while dying of heatstroke. :)

There is also an animatronic version version of the suit of course!

The suit (SpringBonnie) was made as a suprise gift for William for the opening (By Henry Emily).

The suit has two varients. The summer varient, and the other one. Specifically in the hotter seasons, the suit is only worn with the head, paws and feet + usually a purple suit.

The other version, is the full suit, which covers the full body (is featured in the small doodle to the left). The full suit sometimes features a bowtie, or an undercoat (just to decorate it a little). And you'd be suprised by how quickly it can be put on. William got springlocked in this version specifically.

When specifically William wears the suit, his hair being too long, pokes out from underneath the head of the suit. It sometimes gets tangled in the springlocks! This makes it difficult to take off, ESPECIALLY if the springlocks are released.

The rewrite, which will be uploaded to Ao3, is split into 4 to 5 parts (it will be put into an folder on Ao3 to make it more organized). The timeline follows off canon for the most part, however most of the events have been organized into a specific timeline. The order of the games specifically that I am following is below.

(if the text is unreadable: FNAF 4 → FNAF 2 + Sister Location → FNAF 1 → FNAF 3 → FNAF 6)

PART ONE is centred before the main six games, and overlaps FNAF 4. It is centred around Henry Emily and William Afton (and their families) during the early stages of their animatronic making endeavours.

The other 3-4 parts have been planned out but I won't talk about them that much right now.

The AU leans a lot more on the characters, their motivations, and their relationships with other characters. It focuses more on telling the story in full than in hints, like the games do.

It is likely not going to be completely accurate to canon, so if the timeline changes with new FNAF releases then big whomp I've already made a timeline and I'm not touching that thing again.

Yalllll this L smut is taking me wayyyy too long to finish, I've been hit with inspiration in the WRONG department (katsuki series), and now that's all I can think about. Until I'm able to crank out the actual L smut, have this little oneshot about joining the kira task force!

"I'm here," you announce cheerily, bursting in through the door with a big smile and a briefcase in your hands.

"Uh, sorry, who are you," Mogi asks, stopping you at the door. He had a stern look on his face, like he thought you were tresspassing.

"She is a consultant on this case," L says calmly, not turning from his place before his computer, his thumb pressed to his lips in thought, his knees to his chest.

"everyone, this is (Y/n). Make yourselves acquainted."

"A consultant?" "What do you need consulting on?" "I thought you said you didn't need anymore detectives."

L sighed, a frown appearing on his lips as he glanced back toward where the group would be. "I thought I told you to acquaint yourselves," he said tiredly. What a lovely first day.

over the next week, they did in fact acquaint themselves. You got to know everyone, especially because you lived in HQ. There was Misa, Aizawa, Chief Yagami, Matsuda, Mogi, and, of course...Light Yagami. You knew him well. Through L's retellings, anyway. Why did he tell you? Because you were dating. Plain and simple.

L hadn't told anyone on the team, for good reason...at least, it was probably good reason. Either that, or he didn't tell because no one asked. He was like that, only speaking as he pleased. It amused you, it was something that drew you to him.

Even so, they noticed when he gave you special treatment. Once, during a presumed all-nighter for the detectives, you stood from your seat next to L, Stretching and yawning.

"I'm going to head to bed." It was only 10, far earlier than any of the others dared ask to go, not wanting to seem like slackers. L looked up at you questioningly, tilting his head. "You never go to bed this early."

You shrug. "I'm tired, and if I'm too tired tomorrow, I won't be able to work as efficiently."

L sighed, looking back to his computer. "I won't stop you," he said indifferently.

You smile and thank him, standing and making your way to bed. Everyone else was flabbergasted. Matsuda stood from his desk, leaning on it with his hands as he stared at the back of L's head. "Why does she get to leave early? If any of us asked to go at a time like this, No way you'd let us!"

"Have you asked," L responded, gently spinning his chair around to face him.

"well I-...no..."

L gave him an expectant look, scratching the top of his foot with his toes.

"...can I go to bed?" everyone was watching with intrigue. Was that really all it took???

"...no."

Matsuda looked shocked. Everyone else simply went back to work, the already dingy mood dampened even further.

"It's cause she's pretty, isn't it?"

L looked up in thought, his thumb rubbing at his lips.

"Mmnnn....I suppose it is," he mused.

All matsuda could do was sit down in disbelief. "can you believe this," he asked Aizawa in a whisper. "Of course I can. That's L for you."

As another piece of evidence, he simply likes you more. He lets you talk and talk all day long about anything on your mind, when you go on food runs he actually asks you for things (He never asks the other detectives, no matter where they're going), and he shares any of his treats with you.

"I recall you saying you enjoy strawberry flavoring. Is that still accurate?" he's already cut you a sizable slice of strawberry cake, so your answer doesn't matter.

"have you ever had carambola? It's not very remarkable on it's own." Because of him, your first and only experiences with the fruit are in tanghulu form.

Anything he eats, you at minimum try.

Lastly, and most importantly, he shamelessly stares at your body. It is unbearably obvious that you distract him sometimes, when you're talking like nothing and he's watching the subtle movement of your tits, caused by your excessive gesticulations, his thumb tracing his lower lip in thought as he analyzes the exact weight they must have to move in such a way. Many of the others assume L is simply a creep, a creepy weirdo staring at the new pretty woman in HQ.

Light knows better. He knows, he can see it, there is more. It's not just lust, L is better than that, more complex. Either this is some way to trick Light, or he's doing this to benefit himself and this case in some way. There is more, and he will find out what it is.

Of course, you know better than all of them. There is more, the more is that you are together, and beyond that, there is nothing. He just finds your chest rather captivating. You can't blame him. The end.

Long story short, everyone knows he has a bias towards you, for one reason or another, and he doesn't do much to hide it. There were so many theories spread between them, and as a surprise to no one, it was filtered through misa. She knew best about this social stuff, after all.

"Do you see the way she smiles at him? They have to be dating," Matsuda whispers.

"What? No way, Girls smile at guys for more reasons than being with them," Misa scoffs.

"What if this is a test? Maybe he's testing us," Mogi puts forward.

"On what," Misa asks incredulously.

"I don't know, I'm not the genius...What do you think, Light? You're the closest to him."

"Me...? I don't know, why don't you just ask him."

ask him? To his face? No.

"Fine," Misa nods, standing from the mini huddle. Everyone watched with disbelief as she faced the two of you, working side-by-side before the CCTV footage. She pointed an accusatory finger at the two of you, her voice and expression full of pride, like she cracked some code. "Are you two dating?!"

You look at L. He doesn't look at you.

"Yes," he responds calmly.

"What? Why would you bring her here then? Don't you think Light is kira? Aren't you putting her in danger," Aizawa asks.

"You 6 are the only ones that know...excluding Watari. If She dies, please assume Light Yagami is the culprit."

Silence.

"Now, return to work," he orders, strain and annoyance in his voice from the situation. "I truly hate gossip," he grumbled to you.

personally i dont think pony fucks w any sort of generative ai cause he thinks its lazy n allat, but the only reason y pony would even b on there is bc he wants to see how accurate it is to the character. the questions he asks arent even that embarrassing, its just the fact that hes on there PERIOD thats embarrassing for him.
