        ❝   i’m  sorry  .  .  .  i  messed  up  again  .  .  .   ❞   ven’s  meek  apology  comes  in  the  wake  of  another  failed  attempt  at  blizzard,  fragments  of  half - melted  ice  scattered  across  the  ground  at  his  feet.  for  a  brief  moment,  his  excitement  had  flared  as  the  spell  seemed  to  hold  and  power  began  to  gather  at  the  tip  of  his  keyblade,  but  the  half - formed  lump  of  ice  shattered  as  soon  as  his  concentration  slipped,  hailing  him  in  its  shards.

          shame  bleeds  across  his  features  as  he  ducks  his  head,  purposefully  avoiding  aqua’s  gaze  as  he  dismisses  wayward  wind  from  his  grasp  with  a  dull  flash  of  light.  how  is  it  that  he  still  struggles  to  master  such  a  simple  spell,  when  aqua  makes  it  look  so  effortless?  he’s  practised  for  weeks  on  end  and  followed  every  single  instruction  given  to  him,  but  no  matter  how  hard  he  tries,  nothing  seems  to  work.  ven’s  shoulders  rise  along  with  his  growing  embarrassment,  bunching  up  around  his  ears  as  he  murmurs  sadly,   ❝   maybe  i’m  not  cut  out  for  this  after  all  .  .  .   ❞

riotous / raucous ——— there is something displaced something off kilter something tilted just so, an imperceptible amount, an impossible amount and the wind, settles. stills. an unnatural stillness about an unnatural girl and she stands / fixed. unfixed, half broken all the same and her gaze shifts and settles. like the wind. like the air around : oppressive and compressing and she looks at her. darkness spills and who does it originate from and does that matter, in the end? it doesn’t. it can’t. because it could very well be both or either and something trembles.

❝ are you hurt? ❞ an innocuous question and a simple question and a question that must be asked and a question that is expected and she delivers it, simply. quietly. colorless and dull against the backdrop / against the vibrancy of her and if naminé were to draw aqua ( she wouldn’t she shouldn’t she can’t ) it would be in vivid blues and / the deepest of blacks.

      "do you know what might make us both feel better? hot coco and hugs." he knows they've both been rather busy lately and terra was more than alright losing a few hours of productivity or sleep to hold aqua in his arms and make sure she wasn't overworking herself.

       “ ---- the keyblade master who escaped the deep depths of the darkness. how does it make you feel knowing that your sacrifice to try and save terra let xehanort keep living ? ”  a voice that came from behind, xigbar steps out of the shadows to ‘greet’ aqua with a smirk.

      “ sure, the guardians of light won in the end! and you got your dear friends back. but there’s still that lingering feeling inside, right?  winning doesn’t change what you and your friends went through. especially you, though! consumed by the darkness. . . ”  he ends his ramble with an tilt of his head and a mocking smirk. xigbar is here for a couple reasons, but he can’t really help himself from trying to provoke the keyblade master.

@wayweaver is... the purest angel descended from the heavens to bless us with her presence so that way she may fill our lives with her brilliant shine. we are but lowly peasant within her positive presence and yet she deigns to let us all bask in the joy that she spreads.

    To feel Aqua’s fingers threading through his hair is par for the course, especially on lazy days like these. As such, Ventus assumes it’s merely a gesture of temporary parting until he’s presented with the very familiar bag she held in her opposite hand, failing to stifle the soft sound of surprise that falls from his parting lips.

    It’s not that he thought she’d forgotten about the holiday—or him, for that matter—but he wasn’t sure she’d be up to the task of making anything from scratch, either. After everything that happened just a couple of months prior, they’ve all been out of sorts in more ways than one, so if corners cut resulted in more sanity retained, then it was an exchange worth making.

    Even still, Aqua put in the time and the effort just like she always used to. It’s enough to make the blonde’s heart swell and ache all at once.

    Taking as much care as possible not to crumple his gift, Ventus twists his body and throws both arms around his friend in a tight, unrelenting hug that he can only hope expresses just how much this means to him—how much she means.

    “Love you, Aqua,” he murmurs, smiling and tearing up in conjunction as he nuzzles against her shoulder. “I can’t wait to have these. It’s been ages.”

NAME: Aqua AKA: Lieutenant Commander, “Lady Aqua” SPECIES: Human ? OCCUPATION: Orphanage owner ( formerly ), leader of the first “Resistance” ( formerly ), co-commander to Yozora ( currently )

       TEN YEARS AGO, downtown Tokyo, REPLICA JAPAN. An unsuspecting building, HIDDEN amongst the derelict back alleys of the SPACE COLONY ARK, housed a handful of ORPHANED CHILDREN of a motley of AGES. Amongst them, was a LITHE GIRL: with dark hair and piercing BLUE EYES, as deep as the OCEAN. The colour aqua. Aqua was perhaps the OLDEST of the children, SECOND to a much taller boy, with long CHESTNUT LOCKS. Terra and Aqua held HIGH REGARD for the founder of the ORPHANAGE: a mysterious gentleman who SAFEGUARDED them all from the TYRANNY of Gigas Corporation. Alas, the GENTLEMAN disappeared without a trace. Terra VOWED to find him, and TOOK OFF after their father figure: leaving AQUA in charge of their FAMILY.

       FIVE YEARS PASSED, and Terra never RETURNED. Torn between SEARCHING for the older boy and keeping her sibling figures SAFE, Aqua eventually decided to SHAPE her found family to SELF-SUSTAIN themselves. Teaching the CHILDREN how to survive, to DEFEND, to know right from wrong. It wasn’t LONG before the once defenceless adolescents became YOUNG ADULTS with a penchant for JUSTICE... for fighting for what was RIGHT. Aqua, as leader of this makeshift ‘RESISTANCE’, held enough confidence in her TEAM to go on solo missions in pursuit of TERRA.

       And what a MONSTER he became. Terra was not only KIDNAPPED by Gigas Corporation years prior, but was CHANGED beyond recognition... his HEART, replaced with another’s. In her HESITANCE to oppose him, Aqua was CAPTURED, being forced to ENDURE the very same experiments that he DID. A certain darkness took a HOLD of her heart-- the STRESS of experimentation shifting DARK LOCKS into a stark silver. FORTUNATELY, Aqua was able to ESCAPE Gigas Corp’s clutches, before they STRIPPED her of her mortality entirely. Still very much HUMAN, Aqua returned to her FOUND FAMILY with a brand new resolve: to SAVE TERRA... and take down Gigas Corporation.

       Through the LEADERSHIP of her Resistance against the ROBOTICS SYNDICATE, Aqua eventually crossed paths with YOZORA: a fellow victim of GIGAS CORP who was also pursuing the SAME GOAL as she was. Aqua decided to JOIN FORCES with the army the VERUM REX had already begun to GATHER, becoming a lieutenant commander and SECOND-IN-COMMAND to the wayward king.

“ oh dear. ”  he starts, but for some reason that ‘oh dear’ sounds more amused that worried. and there was definitely a smirk hidden behind the shadow of his hood. xigbar was traversing through worlds on orders of  someone ...? one of those xehanorts. his task? find aqua who apparently escaped from the guardians of light and was still consumed by darkness. what he didn’t expect was to find her ... like this.

“ this is kind of, what, sad -- for a supposed keyblade master. consumed by darkness ... and sleeping in some dark alleyway like a stray! ”  he walks a bit closer, trying to get a look at her face to see if she was actually sleeping.  “ hmm... ”  he pokes he with his boot. idiot.

hi void ! i know we havent talked much but i wanted to express how much admiration i have for you !!! your writing is absolutely gorgeous , it flows so so nicely !! i love your choice of words & how well they express even's thoughts , how clearly they convey everything ! i adore how much thought you've put in & how well articulated your hcs are ! you really bring even to life , & you've definitely put him in a new light for me . thank you for being such a wonderful presence on the dash !

ahhhhhhhhh thank you so much go , i’m *axel voice* so flattered !! especially coming from someone with such a lovely style of writing & beautiful characterization for - if i may be so bold to say so - one of the best characters in the entire series .have i said this before ? i’ve probably said this before . every time someone says i’ve made them care about even/vexen a little bit more my heart grows eight sizes , and my life span triples . it’s very excessive & i am nothing if not a mystery to science at this point , but that is irrelevant to the fact that i am very glad you find my ramblings & obnoxious stanning to be worth hanging around for . i no longer have a choice but to die for this dumb nerd but all the lovely people like you certainly make it that much more fun !you are very sweet , thank you for sending such kind messages to me & so many others these past few days !! what a beautiful light to the community you are !!
