hi hi hi today's reminder is it's just hit me that the dreamies will soon have seven years of work experience. more if you count the rookies days. i, older than all of them, feel like I'm too young to have my 2.5 years of work ex. and now, as much as I love current grown-up dream, i feel sad they never got to be kids.

also on a lighter note shinee is doing a video series of them doing 10 minutes of different types of youtube content/challenges and i love them and it's so fun to watch them together. they did debates and taemin was just being a hater towards all of romance, key was trying to talk sense and Minho was flirting with taem. my absolute babies (we're ignoring that they're all significantly older than me). it's just so nice to watch them goof around together, i love them so much

Hii!, Aw, yeah they never really got to have a real adolescence compared to the older members of 127 and Wayv where they had already graduated highschool and college for Kun. I think despite all of them being in their early twenties it's why like they just seem so much younger than their peers. I know there's a reason for this but it's escaping me how to articulate it. But it does at least seem like they created a childhood with each other. It's like Taemin he debuted at 14 but at 30 he still seems like a little kid like he was a bit stunted. To be fair I see that in a lot of millennials, like so many of my friends say they still feel like high schoolers and being an adult doesn't seem real. But that for a completely different reason. But yeah they especially Jisung feel very stunted compared to like Sungchan, Taehyun, even Jeongin feels a bit older. Not Yangyang though but it's cause of his brattiness and being babied by Ten. But I hope they're able to have experiences that give them back at least some of their childhood and they don't feel too pressured to give up "childish" things, and can keep that childlike wonder I think all adults should keep that as long as you can, ideally forever.

This made me realize I'm not subscribed to shinees personal YouTube channel and now I have to. Taemin, taeminning as usual Key being the only one with sense is just how they are and Minho, yeah of course. I gotta go watch this. I hope Onew is doing well.

Also I just learned that the movie She's too young, has actually happened to a lot of schools, like there have been multiple syphilis outbreaks in highschools. I thought it was just maybe one but it's multiple. I'm at least glad none of the dream members went to a North American highschool, it's wild over here. Ask Johnny, he knows. Mark only went to middle school so he's fine.

i think the reason why this goes around the way it does is because the 'thought process' of biases and bias wreckers are kind of different?

with biases, it's only natural to find similarities or something to relate to in another person and a para-social relationship isn't any different. and when you start you just never really stop. i also find that the bias is typically the person (or people) you're investing more time in, thinking about them, getting to know them through the screen...

whereas with biaswreckers, they're like photo bombs. they're a break from all of that. they're the ones you're thinking 'omg they're actually so fucking pretty what the hell' 'omg so fucking hilarious' 'nawww they're actually so gentle/strong etc'. they're a bit of a jump start.

WayV's Xiaojun - SPEAKING OF HARD WORKERS WITH TALENT WHO HAVE BEEN KEPT ON ICE dejun is like. honestly i think inarguably one of the best if not just straight up the best voices in kpop and it is an ATROCITY that he is not plastered across every kdrama OST in the world, i should not be able to move for Xiao Dejun Opportunities.

he's also deeply fucking pilled on the boyfriend model of idolhood, in which he considers it his job to be your Prince, your Supportive Pillar, your Romantic Ideal. it is both extremely funny to see him lean into this from a meta perspective because as a guy around dudes he is - kind of awkward? his personality is Not Good, he's clearly constantly overthinking his every move and he both craves attention and is ill-suited at getting it when he wants it, and he has members of his group (ten lol) who will drag his ass without mercy

SHINee's Choi Minho - CHOI MINHO! what can i say about this man that has not been said already. an industry titan, korea's Flaming Charisma, man who saw out 2023 by getting called kind of mid-looking by a rando on twt and ended up trending for days as multiple fandoms rushed to defend the honour of his tiny face.

uh, i just think he's really nice, sob. i have this enduring memory of him on some variety show where guys and girls had to balance on a pole over water (lol) for some competition reason? and all the other dudes were very carefully manner-handsing these women, but minho was just as carefully holding on to the girl and saying something reassuring in her ear, because he considered making sure she was comfortable more important than the overall optics of Can't Touch Girl. and i just think that is emblematic of type of guy he is. he's very loud and competitive! but kind, and that's lovely

B.I. - honestly my feelings about this guy are not long winded and intense like the feelings Above, but they are? more real? B.I. (hanbin) got done for attempting to purchase weed and LSD, resulting in him getting kicked from his group (iKON) and the suspension of all his contracts/appearances. he was very lucky to escape jail time, and the fact that his career recovered in the wake of this situation is kind of a miracle, but i think does speak to like...what an immense talent he is lol. not that other things don't factor into it, but i don't think he could have made the kind of comeback he has as a soloist in the wake of that situation if he wasn't very, very good, which he is!
