Every day after work you'd walk to the park with a hot drink in your hand you'd sit down at the same bench every day. And without fail that friendly little beagle would come running from the path you had been walking down rushing towards you with what could only be described as pure unbridled happiness.

It had happened on accident the first time you had met the little beagle, who her owner, who was rather cute, had told you was named Bella.

Bella had ran up to you one afternoon in spring when her ball had rolled up to you and instead of picking it up and running back to her owner, she had sat down and looked at you with eyes seemingly asking when you will throw the ball for her.

You hadn't been able to refuse the little dog at the time and had indulged in her want to play and had thrown the ball far away as she darted after it and then coming almost flying back to you. Her owner had eventually made his way over calling for his dog who ignored him in favor of you giving her some ear rubs.

The man who owned Bella was really cute in your eyes, he had grayish blueish hair, beautiful eyes who were framed with a pair of glasses and a lovely smile that when directed towards you made your heart beat slightly faster.

A small friendship had bloomed between the two of you thanks to Bella and eventually you two had ended up with the habit of meeting up at the park almost every day at the same time so Bella got to see her new favorite person as her owner put it.

Today you didn't have to wait long before Bella came bounding towards you with so much energy and her owner running behind her trying to keep up with her. You let out a little laugh under your breath, he looked out of breath, running like if he had been trying to keep up with her for quite some time.

"Hello my little sweetheart!" You greeted Bella, sliding of the bench to greet the overexcited beagle, Bella greeting you with loads of kisses and tail-wags. You petted her and looked up at her owner laughing at how he was standing hunched over hands on his knees breathing loudly muttering under his breath of how he needed to get into shape if this was gonna happen every day.

"You good?" you asked as you petted his dog, snorting when he looked up at you

"Yeah... I just- I just need to catch my breath... the little devil started running the moment we entered the park fifteen minutes ago." He confessed before plopping down on the ground infront of you.

"Oh wow you must have missed me so much huh Bella? Even though you saw me yesterday." You said to the little beagle who were now sitting in your lap, enjoying your pets.

"You should hear her on the days we cannot meet up and we just walk past the park. She'll stop at the entrance we usually enters and start whining, giving me puppy eyes not understanding why we won't enter and go see you on those days." He smiled giving her a pat as well.

"Oh Bella, I'm sorry we can't see each other every day." You pout giving her head a little kiss.

After some more cuddles the two of you started to play, Bellas favorite thing was chasing the ball. As she was chasing the ball you had thrown her owner turns to you and clears his throat, cheeks slightly rosy.

"So.. umm... Bella absolutely adores you, and you absolutely adore Bella, which makes me really happy! Like whenever we see each other you play with her for a good half an hour, at least. Which is great and all... but I've realized... what's your name? I don't think I ever asked for your name nor did I introduce myself when we met for the first time." He confessed looking a bit shy and a bit awkward.

"Oh... hehe you're right. My name is y/n! It's nice to meet you...?"

"Dejun! But you can call be Xiaojun or Dj Xiao if you'd like."

"Dj Xiao?" You raise your eyebrow at him and he laughs awkwardly

"It's like a nickname you know, Dejun... Dj. Xiao is my last name." He confessed with a smile

"Well I think I like Dejun most if I'm honest. If that's okay with you?"

"That is more than okay!!" He beams "It's nice to meet you y/n or should I rather say it's nice to finally know the name of the beautiful person who I-um no I mean Bella adores." He rambles on clearing his throat. You caught his little slip-up and it was hard fighting against the smile that wanted to widen on your face.

You were just about to respond to him and hint at the fact that you might adore him as well drops of water starts to fall and soon the rain is close to pelting down.

"Oh shit we better get home, I just showered Bella I can't have her get muddy again." Dejun says before he recalls her and gets the ball put into his little bag.

"Wait! Before you go! Could I get your phone number??" you blurted out not wanting him to leave before you got his number

"Wha-you.. you want my number?!" he looked shocked at you as Bella waited for him to put on her leash.

"Yes! I might adore you as well Dejun." At this confession you looked down at your feet suddenly feeling a bit shy. Dejun stands up quickly beaming as he brings out his phone.

"Here put your number in!" you take his phone after quickly handing him your phone as well. The two of you quickly puts in each other's numbers as the rain starts pelting down now. The two of you let out screams of surprise at how hard the rain was pelting down quickly taking each other's phones back.

"Let's set up a meeting tomorrow, at a café perhaps?!" Dejun shouted over the harsh rain.

"That sounds great! We can text more once we both get home and out of this awful weather!!" You shouted back and he nodded as the two of you turned your separate ways running back home.

And despite the fact that you came home absolutely drenched you couldn't be upset because now you not only had the name and number of the cute man you've met for several days in the park thanks to his dog. Now you were also having a date with him on the very next day and things couldn't be better.
