Are you in other fandoms than Clexa?

Yes and no. I started out in the Spashley fandom back in 2005 and the days of fanfiction dot hell and when ships had their own forums and websites. I wrote for that but I hope nobody ever finds the atrocities that my teenage self thought were appropriate for public view.

Took a break from fandom after high school, but as soon as I found out about Brittana and ao3 I was hooked again.

Started watching the loo and fell in love with Clexa, got back into Tumblr and the rest is history.

I occasionally read Calliette, Hollstein, Supercorp, or Wayhaught if I get a great fic rec. But Clexa has me in a fucking CHOKEHOLD and I attempt to write that when I’m feeling bold enough.

Wayhaught fic rec!!

I’ve just finished this amazing fic that I can’t recommend enough. It’s 90k words 1950s AU fic with Waverly being obedient wife married to Champ and Nicole just moving in next door with her own husband. Some accidental murders happen. Yes, murders. Funny and slightly dark. It’s so good I would pay money to read it! 

Also, hot sex against a doorframe. Sign me in. 

Below is just a glimpse of this brilliance. Spoilers ahead. Also TW character death.

Waverly sighed, “Why are you here, Wynonna?” she asked again.

“Waverly, I’m going to get right to the point. I believe you now that you didn’t kill Champ.”

“Wynonna!” Waverly looked shocked and pulled her sister by the elbow over to the corner of the living room. “What the hell?” she hissed, glancing around her at Nicole and Kate.

“John Henry is dead and we need you to help us get rid of the body.”

“Get rid of the…Wynonna, what did you do?” Waverly wrung her hands nervously. It was starting to feel a bit murdery, what with Wynonna joking just yesterday about killing off her husband.

Wynonna pulled Waverly back over to the living room where Kate and Nicole appeared to awkwardly be trying to not overhear their conversation.

“Look,” Wynonna said, “you’re all in on this now. Kate, you were there so basically you get half the blame.”

“The plan was to extort him, not kill him!” Kate exclaimed.

“You conspired with Kate who-...I’m sorry, who are you anyway?” Waverly asked, peering at Kate.

“This is the coat girl that John Henry was fucking,” Wynonna said flatly.

“I didn’t know he was married,” Kate said through bared teeth.

“Yeah well, you’re not completely innocent here. You were gonna go along with telling him we were going to kill him…”

“Wait, what now?” Waverly interrupted, Nicole’s head snapping back and forth between the three woman like a spectator at a tennis match. “Can everyone just slow down for a minute? Wynonna, sit down and tell me what happened.”

Wynonna sighed heavily and removed her sunglasses, rubbing strained looking eyes and pulling out a cigarette from her purse. She offered the box around and Kate took one; they both drew deeply and Wynonna exhaled the plume of smoke into the room.

“I saw John Henry making time with Kate at the department store. I followed him there. Then I introduced myself to Kate and asked her if she wanted to help me just...scare him a little. I’d get a divorce and she’d get a little pay off. We were just going to scare him! I swear, Waverly...I didn’t kill him.”

Nicole inched slowly to her feet. “I should go,” she smiled nervously, rubbing at the back of her neck.

“Sit down,” the three women said simultaneously, and Nicole sat quickly back down.

summary : An alternate universe where Nicole and Wynonna are best friends and actresses, along with Waverly. Waverly is new to the acting business, the ins and outs still not fully clear. It isn't until she lands a lead role in a Canadian television series alongside Wynonna and Nicole that she starts to truly find herself.

What is going to happen when Waverly confides in her sister, sharing her fear of falling in love with her on-screen love interest? What if her on-screen love interest is none other than Rosita Bustillos? What is she supposed to do when Wynonna and Nicole are made to be on-screen lovers and she's unable to watch it?

Lots of fluff, lots of shameless flirting, and maybe some smut eventually? Slow burn Wayhaught canon with some Wynhaught, Wynsita, and Wavesita throughout.

My Writing

I posted Boomerang Ch 11 M, 11/?, Avalance! After 2+ years without an update I’m so glad to finally add in this chapter. This is a childhood AU where Sara and Ava meet each other in middle school and evolves from there.

I’m working on:

Boomerang Chapter 12: 0%  While ideally I’d like to post once a week, I will probably end up aiming to post every other week.

A Rosita/Wynonna and Wayhaught Fake Dating AU: 15% Done, The basic idea is that Rosita tries to help out Waverly and her “hopeless” crush on Nicole by fake dating to see how jealous Nicole gets. Of course, nothing is that simple.

Fic Recs

One-Eighty by @sensitive-pigeon, M, Wayhaught, 8/8. This is about Waverly and Nicole on Mars, an AU where they are left alone to take care of the base inbetween missions. It’s great, and I didn’t really read fic this week, but have to recommend in honor of Perserverance.

This next rec is not a fic, but this week I read Daughter of the Moon by @effiecalvin which is part of a great series called Tales of Inthya that is some fantastic wlw fantasy content without homophobia. It’s just as it is. The first book, Princess of Ielflaria is about a bethrothal where the prince dies so the princess needs to marry his sister. Which, the best prompt. Totally recommend if you’re looking for a fun fantasy book series.

Fic recommendation: Between Two Lines by @zaxagra

This is one of my FAVOURITE fics. It’s posting every Wednesday, and it will capture your heart like no other. It’s one of the most heartfelt stories I have ever read, but with exactly the same quick, sharp-witted humour that makes the show so amazing. I cannot recommend this enough!!

The low buzz from the world outside slowly started to seep in through the bedroom window, the sweet summer breeze gently nudging the young girl out of her slumber. She lay perfectly still, without opening her eyes, feeling the pressure of the mattress against her side. A soft smile curled her lips when a weight shifted behind her. A warm body against her naked back. She snuggled further into it, seeking the safety from those strong arms as she tucked herself against her lover. A heavy breath grazed the back of her shoulder. She smiled again.

Waverly Earp had just lost her virginity.

She was filled with a warmth that spread out from her chest when the realization hit her. She felt so proud. Proud of taking the next step. Proud to be a woman finally.

I have noticed several requests lately for fanfiction recommendations within the Wynonna Earp fandom (more specifically, wayhaught). I thought I would create a master list of my absolute favorite series, stories, and authors. I have read an embarrassingly extensive amount of fanfiction (in this fandom and in others). So while this list may seem overwhelming... keep in mind that there are over 2,700 stories tagged with Waverly Earp/Nicole Haught on AO3.

Take special note of the stories that are still works in progress; I have a severe aversion to incomplete works because nothing is worse than finding an amazing story that was abandoned (fic authors have lives and sometimes they lose passion or interest; I get it). So if there’s a WIP on this list? It means pay attention because it’s enough for me to want to take that risk.

She's the first one there, memories fully intact and fully awful, her forearm aching even though she can look down and see there's only a scar there.  

No one else comes for a while, though later she's not sure how long it is. Time is strange in this place, wending its way along with little for her to hang new memories on to. Her gut keeps telling her she's been here a long time, even though she knows that can't be true.

On day one, she sits in front of a desk in a soft chair, taking in the older man's sharp jawline, his neat white hair, his deep green bow tie, his animated eyes. The first words she hears are "Welcome to the good place!" and then Michael is telling her that everything is going to be fine.

She sits quietly and tries to take everything in. Her first blurred thought is: Where is Waverly Earp?

While Michael issues forth a series of thoughts about human mortality, she catches the lightness in his eyes. "—Anyway, this is my first good place and, as architect, I have been given the chance to try something new. I am," Michael preens—his peacock green bow tie winks at Nicole—she thinks of the green in Waverly's eyes, "the very first architect to live in their good place, with their humans."

Michael beams. Nicole notes his possessive pronoun, and realizes her face is too placid a beat too late. She rearranges her features into something she knows will pass as pleased, grateful.

She takes a deep, internal breath and asks the only thing she knows to ask. "Where is Waverly Earp?"
