The good news for Android users who have been looking to switch to an iPhone. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said we’re adding to WhatsApp the ability to securely switch between phones and transfer your chat history, photos, videos, and voice messages between Android and iPhone while maintaining end-to-end encryption.

How to process the transfer of the data:- • Users will need to download the “Move to iOS” app on their android Smartphone. Before transferring chats from android to iOS, Android users will need to be on a minimum of Android 5.0 and above. • Apple iOS users will need to be on iOS 15.5 and above. Make sure you are on WhatsApp iOS version 2.22.10.70 or above on your new device. On Android, the WhatsApp version needs to be 2.22.7.74 or above. • Open the Move to iOS app and follow the instructions shown on-screen. You will soon be asked to enter a code and follow the on-screen instructions again. • Select ‘WhatsApp’ on the Transfer Data screen. On your Android phone, press ‘Start’ and then wait while WhatsApp gets all your data together, ready for export. You will be signed out android Whatsapp app. Tap ‘Next’ to go back to the Move to iOS app and hit ‘Continue’ to begin the data transfer. • Finish the activation on your new device and your WhatsApp chat data should be visible on your iPhone.

This feature will be much appreciated by Indian users given how popular WhatsApp is in the country with over 450 million users. The biggest concern for Android users when switching to iOS is often around saving WhatsApp data. So now, Whatsapp users will be able to transfer the data easily.
