Psalms chapter 69
1 (To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, A Psalm of David.) Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.
2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
3 I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.
4 They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.
5 O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.
6 Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.
7 Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.
8 I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.
9 For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
10 When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.
11 I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.
12 They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.
13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
14 Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.
15 Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.
16 Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.
17 And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.
18 Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.
19 Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.
20 Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
21 They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
22 Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.
23 Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.
24 Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.
25 Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.
26 For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.
27 Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.
28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
29 But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.
30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
31 This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
32 The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.
33 For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.
34 Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.
35 For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession.
36 The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.

Key Regulatory Frameworks Shaping the Polyacrylamide Market Landscape
Polyacrylamide: An Overview of its Wide Industrial Applications What is Polyacrylamide? Polyacrylamide is a polymer comprised of acrylamide monomer units. It exists as a white powder that is soluble in water. Its chemical formula is (C3H5NO)n, where "n" refers to the large number of repeat units that give the polymer its unique properties. Synthesis and Properties Polyacrylamide is produced through the polymerization of acrylamide monomers. This process involves subjecting acrylamide to free-radical polymerization, where acrylamide molecules join together in long chains through carbon-carbon bonds between their vinyl groups. The resulting polyacrylamide molecule is a non-ionic water-soluble polymer with high molecular weight. It has good film-forming capabilities and is capable of absorbing up to 200 times its dry weight in water. Usage in Enhanced Oil Recovery One major use of polyacrylamide is in enhanced oil recovery processes carried out by oil drilling companies. Polyacrylamide polymers are injected into oil reservoirs to increase the viscosity of injected water or gas. This helps to displace more oil from the reservoir pores and cracks. By modifying the properties of injection fluids, polyacrylamide improves the volume of oil that can be recovered from a reservoir using techniques like waterflooding. It is estimated that the use of polyacrylamides for enhanced oil recovery could potentially increase total recoverable reserves by 15-20%. Applications in Paper Manufacturing Polyacrylamide finds widespread application in the papermaking industry. It is used as an additive during the papermaking process to improve the strength, formation and brightness qualities of produced paper. Its adhesion tendencies help bind wood fibers together better. As a result, less virgin pulp is required to make paper of the same strength. This allows paper producers to reduce costs and improve productivity. Usage in Wastewater Treatment Wastewater treatment plants heavily depend on polyacrylamide to clarify and dewater sewage sludge. As sludge dewaters, polyacrylamide causes small particles to stick together, improving the filtration process. This helps treatment facilities meet discharge standards while reducing operating costs. Its flocculation properties lead to smaller, more efficient treatment lagoons. The polymer is also employed for sludge thickening and conditioning. Applications in Mining Within mining operations, polyacrylamide finds various applications centered around separation processes. It is used for dewatering mineral slurries in operations like gold mining through flocculation. This separates recoverable solids from liquids to improve downstream processing. Polyacrylamide is also valuable in conditioning clays to render them amenable to separation from mined ores using magnetic or flotation techniques. Functions in Construction The water-absorption ability of polyacrylamide makes it suitable as an additive in concrete, cement and gypsum-based building materials. It increases workability and prevents water separation within the mixture. This leads to stronger finished products with fewer cracks or alignment issues. Polyacrylamide is commonly added to soil to stabilize foundations and reduce water permeability prior to construction work. Concluding Thoughts With widespread commercial production since the 1950s, polyacrylamide has emerged as an important industrial polymer with applications across multiple sectors. Its water management and filtration related properties have generated substantial socio-economic benefits. While oil drilling, wastewater treatment and paper manufacturing dominate demand, new functions are continually being discovered. Polyacrylamide exemplifies how engineering polymeric materials can create value and efficiencies throughout supply chains. Its diverse industrial roles highlight the transformative impact that innovative chemicals can have.

Why Do People Have Crawl Spaces Around Their Homes?
Crawl space homes have been in fashion for ages. For those who don’t know, a crawl space is a small gap between the ground and the first floor of a building. This gap acts like a buffer between the house and the wet earth.
Crawl space homes made sense for decades because the crawl space provided a space for AC ducts and utility cables. The space is named Crawl because it is so tiny that one can only move down there by crawling.
Need of Crawl Space Repair:
Now that we know what crawl space means, let us move ahead with the need for crawl space repair. Wait what? Repair? Yes! Crawl space is home to many issues like water floods, moisture, mold, and so on. let us discuss these issues one by one.
Waterfloods:
Water flooding mainly happens in the rainy season and becomes more severe due to hydrostatic pressure. This problem can be solved by building a French drain inside the ground or grading the ground so that water moves far from the home.
Moisture and Mold:
Moisture is mainly an issue in homes in the Lancaster and Harrisburg, PA, area. It not only promotes mold growth but also poses a threat to the stability of a house. On the other hand, mold can cause allergies, respiratory problems, and asthma.
In the End:
Homeowners need to have proper waterproofing in Lancaster, pa, to avoid any serious health problems or damage to the property.

in all my dreams I drown
CN: drowning
“it's that old recurring dream where you're drowning flailing your arms out, fearful and frantic and black waves are curling and pounding down onto your head somewhere in the Atlantic through the fathoms below you a shadow is gliding up towards you with singular purpose and hundreds of thousands of gallons of ocean froth and foam as it breaks the surface”
David Wirsig – Black Eyes
As long as I can remember, I’ve been dreaming of drowning.
Sometimes I wonder if, as a child, when we first came to this city, I did drown, or almost drowned. My parents never told me of this, and I never dared to ask. I can’t remember seeing any body of water bigger than the canals of Derelictus, though it wasn’t for lack of interest.
But in my dreams, I am floating in cold seawater, thrown this way and that by waves that are neither tender nor cruel. The smell of salt and kelp stinging in my nose, sand and algae sticking to my hair that is floating in front of me like a silver veil, blocking my sight.
The play of light and shadow makes it impossible to judge where is up and where is down, where the surface and where the lower depths, which crawl – I have no doubt about it – with indescribable monsters.
And then, some night when I was thirteen, I open my mouth, curiosity thwarting fear. Sea water fills my mouth, floods my lungs and soon my entire body, fills my veins. I am drowning, but for the first time in my conscious life, I can breathe. The shadows in the depths no longer fill me with dread, but a wistful longing, and I let the currents carry me on, breathing the ocean.
As I got older, the dreams grew in intensity, or maybe I just learned to listen to the words behind the whispering of the sea, grew better at reading the intentions of the waves carrying me. I started recognizing the creatures around me, from the smallest plankton, to the fish whose scales shimmered in colors I had never seen with waking eyes, to the cyclopean beasts so enormous in size I at first took them for reefs.
And beyond those beings, beyond the veil of mineral particles and plant matter, in the deepest depths or uppermost heights, but far removed from me in either case, I behold the gigantic structures of unfathomable design. Impossible for me to tell whether they are of stone, of coral or of solid water – not ice, but rather a fragment of the ocean, made dense – whether they are built, or hewn, or grown.
And suddenly I know, know it in my waterflooded heart, that it is these palaces – for there is no doubt that that is what these structures are – that draw me. And I know that this place, these oceans, these dreams, this magic that has flooded my veins, don’t belong to me, never belonged to me, that I am, at best, a visitor, at worst, a trespasser, and that, should whatever dwells within those palaces notice me, I will be done away with… if I am lucky.
The dreams consume me more than ever, but now I am more careful, knowing I am sustaining myself on stolen water. I have learned to keep my mouth half-opened, taking only as much as I need to breathe, careful not to drown on the madness these oceans hold.
I hear the ocean calling to me, even in the daytime, the sound of the waves in my ears, but I have learned to ignore it. I have learned to appear normal, unremarkable, at the outside. Keep my opinions, my thoughts, my strangeness, myself, firmly locked away, I have learned that early in my life. It is safer that way. For me and for everyone else, and for you.
I wish I could have told you.
The pain in your face when I told you I was leaving for the Heart was already more than I could bear, but what was worse was the look of resignation that followed. As if you had always expected it. As if you always knew I wouldn’t be strong enough to resist the call of the waves, that I would be one of the fools leaving for the Heart and finding only their own demise there.
I wanted nothing more than to drop to one knee in front of you, produce the ring that I had been carrying with me for weeks – that I am carrying with me even now – and put it on your finger, a promise from me to you, that I will return. A promise from you to me, that you will wait for me.
But that would have been selfish. I knew it from the beginning, and it grows ever more obvious with each step I take deeper into the Heart, that it is not my decision whether I will return or not. How I will return. What I will return. I cannot make you promise to wait for whatever it is that might become of me.
The deeper I go, the stronger the dreams grow. The waves take me, as always, into this deepest ocean. But the dreams have changed. I have changed, no longer free of any burden of the waking world. The disguise I am forced to wear clings to me even in my dreams. The heavy cloak entangling me. The ridiculous braids wrapped around my throat by the currents, strangling me. And the mask I’m forced to wear every second of the day, that symbol of arrogance belonging to the Aelfir who sent me here, is fixed to my face.
In my hands I hold on to the only thing I have left of the real me, of my life outside the Heart: The ring. My compass that will guide my way home to you, my promise to you, unspoken.
But that was never my promise to make, and the ring slips through my fingers. I grasp for it, desperately try to catch it, but in vain. I try to swim after it, but the cloak, soaked with seawater, makes it hard to move, traps my arms to my sides.
And I can’t breathe anymore. I open my mouth to let the water flood my thirsty lungs, but the mask won’t let a single drop slip through to my lips. I want to tear it off my face, clawing at it, but it won’t let go, as if it’s welded to my skin, as if the mask was becoming part of me, as if his face were my face.
For the first time in years of drowning, I can’t breathe.

A University of Saskatchewan researcher says a form of oil extraction being encouraged by the Saskatchewan government needs more research and monitoring to avoid potential long-term contamination of drinking water in the province.
Grant Ferguson said his research suggests "waterflooding," a conventional form of oil extraction, could become a bigger problem for Saskatchewan than the more controversial practice known as fracking.
Waterflooding injects water underground to push oil and gas toward extraction wells. The researcher's fear is that water contaminated during extraction could seep into aquifers used by communities for drinking water.
