#Folktaleweek2020 Day 4. Solstice ☀️❄️In a Slavic calendar Winter Solstice was a thing. Time before was especially dangerous, full of ghosts and evil spirits. You really had to be careful after dark! And the darkness come very early in December. Luckily since Winter Solstice the light slowly take over the day. Slavic Pagans celebrated it since 6th December with Szczodre Gody (something like Good Years). they were thankful for the present year and had hopes and wishes, tried to tell the fortune for the next one. It is funny how many Pagan traditions still exist under the cover of Chrystian ones. Thankfully! It makes our customs and cultures unique! But for now - beware, darkness is still in charge!
