A Guide to Bulk Water Delivery for Businesses and Homes
Tumblr media
Bulk water delivery is an indispensable service that caters to various needs, ranging from residential watering to large-scale commercial use. This service is particularly vital in areas facing drought conditions or where the water infrastructure fails to meet the demand. By providing large quantities of water directly to a specified location, bulk water delivery ensures that homes, businesses, or agricultural operations can access the water they need without undue stress on local water sources. This method is practical and essential for daily operations in many industries, ensuring that projects stay on schedule and within budget. It's a reliable solution for managing water supply in a controlled, efficient manner, especially in emergencies or peak usage times.
How Does Bulk Water Delivery Work?
Bulk water delivery begins with choosing a reputable provider who can dispatch large volumes of water directly to your site. Companies like Arizona Premium Water specialize in transporting high-quality water in sanitized, stainless steel tanks that preserve the water's purity and safety.
Upon contacting a provider, customers can discuss their water needs, including volume, delivery frequency, and any particular water type or treatment requirements. After the consultation, they establish a delivery schedule that matches the customer's operational timeline. They ensure water is pumped and treated to comply with health and safety standards, transported to the customer's location, and transferred to their storage systems.
Key Benefits of Choosing Bulk Water Delivery
Efficiency: By utilizing advanced logistics and delivery systems, bulk water services can bring much water to your location with minimal interruption to your daily activities. This setup benefits industries that need a steady water supply for their operations or processes.
Reliability: Bulk water delivery systems always provide sufficient water without any worries, no matter what happens with local water supplies or if many people need water simultaneously.
Quality Control:  Before each delivery, the water undergoes rigorous checks to ensure it's clean and meets all the health rules for your area. This careful checking means you can always count on getting safe, top-quality water.
Cost-Effective: Water delivery in bulk means you pay less for each water unit because of wholesale pricing. This makes it much cheaper for industries or significant water users than regular water supply methods.
Customizable: Companies have their customizable delivery options to match your needs precisely. They can change when they deliver, how much they provide, and even the type of water they bring, all based on what you want.
Tumblr media
Choosing the Right Water Delivery Provider
Selecting an appropriate bulk water delivery service involves several considerations to ensure you receive the best possible value and service. Key factors include the provider's ability to supply water without compromising quality or timeliness. It's essential to check the provider's credentials and customer feedback to assess their reliability and satisfaction levels. Additionally, consider their geographical range, flexibility in handling emergency needs, and capability to offer various types of water (e.g., purified, potable, non-potable, distilled) based on specific requirements. Transparent pricing and a clear contract outlining service levels and responsibilities are crucial to understanding.
Smart Delivery Services: Order Water Online Today
Integrating the latest technology into bulk water delivery services has made everything more accessible. Now, you can order water with just a few clicks on your smartphone or computer using user-friendly apps provided by companies like Arizona Premium Water. These apps let you specify delivery details and track your shipment in real time. Automated scheduling ensures timely deliveries, adjusting to your schedule and the water you need. Smart devices remotely monitor water levels, so you always have enough stock. Advanced analytics help optimize delivery routes and reduce environmental impact. You can even have virtual consultations with experts for personalized service. Plus, integrating with smart home or building systems helps manage water efficiently. With instant updates and notifications, technology makes bulk water delivery more accessible, efficient, and environmentally friendly.
Getting Started with Water Delivery
Embarking on a water delivery service typically starts with a detailed assessment of your water usage needs. Evaluate how much water your operation consumes daily, weekly, or monthly and your peak needs. It will help you discuss your requirements accurately with your chosen provider. Once you select a provider, the next step is to set up a service agreement specifying the delivery terms, payment, and other necessary details. This agreement should be flexible to accommodate any future changes in your water usage. Regular communication with your provider will help ensure that your water supply remains consistent and adapts to any changes in demand.
Conclusion
Bulk water delivery is critical for many applications, ensuring that water is available where and when it's needed most. A dependable water delivery service can significantly improve operational efficiency and sustainability for agricultural, industrial, or residential purposes. "You know you love me." I feel like you could do this justice in a lot of ways. There's potential for delivery, and if you want to use this line from that list, I can't wait to see what you do.

Warning: NSFW, must be 18+ to read under cut.
The way back to the hotel room Kevin once occupied with Randy and Cody is spent in uncomfortable silence, the blood from the man he punched minutes prior dripping from his fist as he and Sami enter.
Once inside, Sami tends to Kevin's hand, holding it beneath the sink and running cold water in order to wash away the man's blood. "You really need to learn how to control your temper, Kev." Sami scolds him.
"I'm sorry Sami, but I'm not going to sit idly by while some douchebag manhandles you...that's my job." Kevin quips, flashing the redhead a knowing smirk.
Once the blood is removed, Sami dabs Kevin's fist with a dry rag, the once white washcloth turning a deep shade of red. "It was your job, but you were too scared to make a commitment." He counters.
"I wasn't scared Sami, I just needed time to thin-"
"You had twenty years to think." Sami chimes in, his voice wavering as he meets Kevin's gaze. "I knew coming here was a mistake, I never should've-" his sentence cut short when a knock came at the door.
They exchange a puzzled look as Kevin opens the door to be greeted by room service. "Sorry, I didn't order-" that's when Sami lifts the lid to reveal a wedding cake, now they were really confused until they see who it's from. "Congratulations on your engagement!" -The Orton's. Cody orchestrated the entire thing, they should've known!
"Well, no point in wasting cake." Kevin pipes up, cutting two big pieces before handing Sami his portion.
Sami accepts the peace offering, smiling shyly. "It's customary to feed it to each other." He explains, hovering the slice near Kevin's mouth.
Kevin takes a bite as he locks eyes with Sami, licking the frosting from his lips seductively. Sami mimics his actions, maintaining eye contact.
Things escalate further when Kevin licks a dab of frosting off of Sami's finger, the air snatched from his lungs as he watches intently.
Kevin can see the desire building in Sami's eyes as he leans in close, brushing his lips against Sami's in a tender kiss, cradling his face.
Sami eagerly returns the kiss, the familiar spark between them reignited. A passion so strong it manages to bring tears to his eyes.
Kevin never believed in fate until he met Sami, he knew they were brought together for a reason and that reason had never been more clear. "Sami," he whispers softly against his lips, "will you marry me?"
The tears that once pricked Sami's eyes now trickling down his cheeks as he stares adoringly at Kevin, his heart skipping a beat. "Yes," he whispers back, overcome with emotion. "There's nothing I want more."
Their lips connect with fervor. They cling onto one another tightly with no intention of letting go, fearful they might lose each other again.
The kiss breaks, but they still remain close, foreheads pressed together. "I missed you, Sami." Kevin confesses softly, tucking a strand of crimson gently behind Sami's ear. "I missed holding you, kissing you, touching you." His voice taking a more sultry tone on the last one.
Sami swallows hard, the thought of Kevin's big rough hands caressing his body sends shivers down his spine. He has been deprived of his touch for far too long and is craving it now more than ever as he gazes deeply into his pale blue eyes. "Qu’est-ce que t’attends?"
A trembling breath escapes Kevin's lips as he proceeds to undress his partner, fingers intentionally skimming over Sami's skin to hear him gasp, the heavenly sound making his member twitch in anticipation.
Sami returns the favor as he guides Kevin toward the bed, shoving him playfully onto the mattress as he crawls into his lap straddling him. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." He gently murmurs.
"Well, when you put it that way." Kevin quips with a knowing smirk, his arms wrapped loosely around Sami's slender waist.
The room erupts into laughter as Sami kisses Kevin softly. "You know you love me." He quips back, a gleam emerging in his honey eyes.
Kevin smiles up at Sami, brushing his ginger curls aside so he can see his face. "I do, but I'd love you a lot more if you got a haircut."
"What is it with you and my hair?" Sami asks, knowing that deep down inside Kevin secretly adores his flowing locks. "You're obsessed!"
The smile lingers as Kevin stares fondly at his beloved, admiring his features. Aside from a few wrinkles, he looked the same. His guardian angel, his soulmate, his soon-to-be husband, his Sami. "I just love looking at you." He replies in a hushed whisper, fondling his cheek.
Sami can feel his emotions begin to stir. He loved when Kevin showed him his kinder, more gentle side, the side of him very few were privileged enough to see. At long last, their lips collide in fiery passion. This kiss, unlike the others, is slow and deep. Their tongues swirling sensually in each other's mouths as Sami grinds his hips into Kevin's, eliciting a moan of approval from the older man as he gropes and squeezes Sami's ass, causing friction. "Kev...please...mon amour." Sami pleads breathlessly, his body trembling with desire. "Jai besoin de toi."
Hearing Sami's breathless plea turns Kevin on so badly he can feel the precum dripping from the tip of his penis as he searches for some lube, luckily Cody was kind enough to leave them a bottle, he'd have to thank him later. He pulls down his boxers to reveal his thick meaty cock as he proceeds to spurt a generous amount into his palm, lathering his manhood with the substance. "Viens ici." He breathes.
Sami obeys, his eyes fixed firmly on Kevin as he peels off his own boxers. His heart pumping wildly in his chest as he straddles Kevin's lap, slowly easing Kevin's dick inside, stretching his tight hole to accommodate his impressive length. His face contorting in pain.
Noting the grimace on Sami's face, Kevin kisses him tenderly to ease the transition. It must've did the trick, because the next thing he knew Sami was grinding against him, wrapping his legs around Kevin's waist and forcing his cock in deeper with a satisfied moan. "Sami, look at me." Kevin coaxes, reaching up to cup his cheek. "I was a fool for ever letting you go." He adds softly, voice wavering. "I'm in love with you."
Sami's eyes flutter open to meet Kevin's gaze, his eyes so full of love and lust as he nuzzles against Kevin's palm, pressing a gentle kiss to the center. "Kev, m-mon cher." He gasps, bucking his hips in time with Kevin's thrusts, finding a perfect rhythm. "I'm so in love with you."
Kevin holds Sami close, their bodies melding to become one. Admiring the contrast between Sami's blank canvas and his tattooed skin as he picks up the pace, eyes drifting upward to meet Sami's gaze. "Gonna cum." He whispers, breathless. "Cum with me, Sami."
Sami nods, rolling his hips vigorously as a series of whimpers spill from his lips. "Kev, I'm coming." He whispers back, voice shaking as he finds his release, spurting all over Kevin's stomach.
Hearing the soft whimpers emerge from Sami's lips is enough to send him over the edge as Kevin grips Sami's hips roughly, thrusting so hard the bed connects with the wall, creating loud thumps that fill the otherwise silent room. "Oh fuck, Sami!" His shrill voice cries out as he fills Sami with his warm seed, holding onto him for dear life.
Sami flashes Kevin a tired smile, brushing a tender kiss to his fevered brow. Their bodies drenched in sweat and other bodily fluids, but they're too engrossed in each other to care. "That was amazing, Kev."
"You're not so bad yourself." Kevin says with a smirk, combing his fingers through Sami's damp, disheveled locks before pulling out.
The pair clean themselves up and settle in for the night. Kevin lay awake holding Sami in his arms, listening to him breathe. The thought of them having to part ways again weighing heavily on his mind. "Sami, you awake?" He asks in a hushed whisper, caressing his hair.
"Mm?" Sami stirs, on the verge of sleep, listening contently to Kevin's heartbeat.
"I don't want to wait, let's get married tomorrow." Kevin replies, unable to conceal the excitement in his tone. "We'll get married on the beach."
Sami smiles against Kevin's chest, feeling his heartbeat quicken as soon as he mentions marriage, knowing Kevin's just as excited as he is to start their new life together. "Sounds good, Kev." He murmurs softly.

Legacy (what is a legacy?) Part 16
It’s planting seeds in a garden you never get to see I wrote some notes at the beginning of a song someone will sing for me
Hamilton, the world was wide enough. LMM.
one, two, three, four, Five, six seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen
Summary: Mike is 13. Born May 2009. Sid didn’t know he had a son. All Mike had was hope and a prayer for his and his half-sister’s safety.
(Sid is a dad of a teen he didn’t know about AU) Sidgeno.
Warnings: (for the total story) post-child abuse (all off-screen but it affects things and is spoken about often), learning how to parent, panic attacks, anxiety, based on the 22-23 season, that said last season when i wrote these tags originally, but hey, it takes me a LONG time to write, so now its no longer last season, OCs?, the realization about sexuality. Post breakups. Desperate lack of in-depth research for CPS in both PA/CA, melodrama?, kidfic, angst, slowburn, playing fast and loose with the law for drama/storytelling purposes
-
Sid and Geno chose to order dinner rather than try to make anything from the kitchen in the same way they sometimes communicated on the ice during a play: simultaneously and with good practice. Of course, that commutation tended to be about power plays, and now Sid should really get to the net so Geno could get the puck to him, but sometimes it's pizza.
One of the Italian places near them made good in-season meals and pizza for the kids. Geno mocked him for not having an app for the place or a food delivery service, but Sid would rather call in and talk to a person instead of ordering from a faceless app.
There was also the fact that until Mike and Marisol came into his life a few weeks ago, he didn't need a kid-friendly delivery service.
All Sid had to do was call in the order, but he had no idea what the kids wanted. How was he supposed to be a good father? After this afternoon, Sid was determined to be the best father he could be.
Some of that had to have played across his face as Geno laughed and told him to go ask. Geno admonished him to remember that he wouldn't be perfect without practice.
Sid knocked on Mike and Marisol's door, looking over the crumpled computer paper that had now decorated the entrance. He hadn't noticed when Marisol was actually drawing, but it appeared a few days ago.
Marisol had drawn a landscape with a sun smiling down on three people on what Sid thought was ice. The ground was blue, at least; it could be water, but the two taller figures had black skates on. The most petite person, whom Sid assumed was Marisol, wore white skates. They were all holding hands, with Marisol in the middle. Sid's person was black and yellow, with what looked like an attempt at an "87" in a childish hand scrawled on the chest. Mike's number was in purple and gold – much like the Kings' old jersey – but Sid wasn't sure of the number. Sid assumed it was his former team's colors.
Marisol opened the door and looked up to meet Sid's eyes. Sid wasn't sure he would ever get over the height difference between him and her—she was so small. Despite her yawning, she was awake.
"Hello Mari, is your brother up?"
She blinked at him and nodded rather than responding verbally. Marisol opened the door fully to show that Mike and Nikita had crashed on Mike's bed. Both of them were curled around each other, and it was adorable. Sid nearly died of adorableness just looking at the two boys. He needed a picture to show Geno and the rest of the team. Anna would be so pleased.
He reached into his pocket for his phone before Helena's warning from a few days before floating back.
"No photos! I don't know you well, Mr. Crosby, but I don't think it will be an issue. However! California and Pennsylvania don't allow minors with contested guardianship to have their images used online. It wouldn't be safe for them."
Sid took his hand out of his pocket, leaving the phone where it was. Anna would have to settle for a story rather than a photo. He would do anything to keep his kids safe, even if it meant he couldn't share all the cute things that his kids did. While unfortunate—he wanted to be like the dads on the team, always with new photos—Sid could do without.
Marisol returned to playing with a set of dolls on the floor, clearly in the middle of some story. Jeff had shown up a few days ago with the dolls, saying his girls didn't want or need them anymore and that they had insisted the dolls go to someone who would love them. Marisol's eyes lit up when she saw the dolls for the first time, so Sid was pretty sure Jeff's girls would be pleased with where they ended up. So Sid had been grateful because he didn't understand what Marisol would like. They hadn't had much chance to get her toys yet. Sid mentally set the next off day to ensure they got stuff for her soon. Nikita's toys were enough for now, but she needed more of her own stuff.
"Can I play?" Sid let the boys sleep momentarily and followed Marisol to the dolls. "How are you feeling?" he asked, settling beside her at her nod.
"Muy cansada." She yawned, with as much of the energy he had come to expect of her post-nap self, "You be Dad. I'm Bluey." She ordered – neither of the dolls in her hands were of the dogs from the cartoon he had heard a lot about from the dads on the team. He didn't know much about Bluey, but Mike had put it on a few times in both English and Spanish, so Sid figured he would know soon.
Sid took a doll from her hand and tried desperately to remember what cansada was in Spanish while ignoring the simple 'you be Dad' felt like. He had just heard it on the TV program they had been watching yesterday morning. Something about sleep? But it was before the character had gone to bed…
Tired. It meant tired. Marisol was tired.
As they played for a bit, Sid gently talked to Marisol, trying to learn more about her feelings and whether she was doing better. It was hard because she kept answering in Spanish, and Sid was sure it was just as disjointed as her English. With Sid's Spanish being… not good, to say the least, it was a bit of a struggle following along. It was better than it was a month ago, but not good. But he kept on trying.
Besides feeling tired, he had to find out what she was experiencing. Once he was reassured that she wasn't upset anymore or had too many immediate emotional reactions to the day, he gently asked, "Do you want pizza for dinner?"
She nodded quickly, dropping her dolls, "Pizza! I want pizza. With pepperoni and cheese!" She was loud enough to wake the boys.
Nikita was the first to move. Still filled with the energy of children, he was not as tired as Marisol. He woke up and nearly vaulted off the bed like Sid had expected Marisol to do.
Mike was a much slower-to-wake-up teenager. "Pizza?" Mike asked, voice thick with sleep but somehow still processing. Food did that to hungry hockey players, especially when they were in their teens. Mike could and probably would, especially after today - both being on the ice for the first time in a while and Marisol's panic attack – finish the entire pie by himself.
Sid nodded, hiding a laugh at the hungry teenager presented before him. "Yeah, Pizza. What do you want?" He should know his kid's pizza order. That's a thing parents know, right?
Mike raddled off an order of toppings that Sid felt needed to write down; he still sounded half asleep. Marisol's order was much easier to remember.
"Hold on," Sid said, reaching for his phone to write it all down. Nikita was already giving him a basic order, saying that Sid had seen Geno eat a time or two in their youth—lots of tomatoes and mushrooms.
Once Nikita was done talking, Mike's brain seemed entirely online, and he immediately backpedaled. "Cheese would be fine," he said, looking away toward Marisol.
Marisol didn't even notice; she and Nikita played with the dolls and talked about pizza.
Sid sighed internally; someday, Mike would allow himself to take up room. "One meat lover with green pepper and jalapenos." He said firmly, using a little of the captain's voice he had for rookies who were nervous for their first games. He tapped the order into his notes app.
Mike looked up, and despite some of the worry and stress still on his face, even after the nap, he smiled. For once, he looked like the teenager he was rather than a lost child.

Good News - July 1-7
Like these weekly compilations? Tip me at $Kaybarr1735! And if you tip me and give me a way to contact you, at the end of the month I'll send you a link to all of the articles I found but didn't use each week!
1. Footage reveals 'miracle eagle chick' in flight
Tumblr media
“In an unprecedented display of extended eagle parenting, the two white-tailed parents skipped this year's breeding season to continue to tend to their year-old offspring. The youngster's wing was broken when the nest fell to the ground during unseasonably wild weather last year. […] The fully-grown chick was being fed fish by its parents, caring behaviour that the eagle expert described as “unprecedented” for the birds. […] “If an immature bird was to reappear near its nesting parents or any other pair the following year [after dispersing], it would likely be aggressively chased away. That’s why this is so exceptional.””
2. Rare wild horses back on Kazakhstan’s Golden Steppe after being saved from extinction
Tumblr media
“For the first time in at least 200 years, wild Przewalski's horses have returned to Kazakhstan’s Golden Steppe. [...] Przewalski's horses are considered the last truly wild horse left on the planet as other species like the American Mustang are descended from domesticated animals. The species were once common across the vast steppes of Central Asia. [...] The zoo will also be sending some Przewalski’s to Mongolia in 2026 where a reintroduction programme has seen their population boom to well over 850 animals.”
3. For one Austin summer camp, public transit is part of the adventure
Tumblr media
“[... “O]ver 90% of the kids will tell you that their favorite part of ATX Kids Club is riding the bus.” That’s the program’s goal: getting kids to have fun on public transit so they’ll grow up using it. The nonprofit’s summer camp, which takes kids ages 4 to 12 on field trip “adventures” around the city, uses Capital Metro buses as its main form of transportation. [...] Before camp, [the field trip leader] said, he believed in stereotypes about transit being dirty and “scary” — but his experience with Austin’s bus system has been the opposite so far.”
4. Brazil Prevents Meta from Using People to Power Its AI
Tumblr media
“[…P]ersonal photos of Brazilian children are used to build powerful AI tools without their knowledge or consent. In turn, others use these tools to create malicious deepfakes, putting even more children at risk of harm. […] The Brazilian government’s decision is a powerful, proactive move to protect people’s data privacy in the face of swiftly evolving uses and misuses of AI. Yesterday’s action especially helps to protect children from worrying that their personal data, shared with friends and family on Meta’s platforms, might be used to harm them in ways that are impossible to anticipate or guard against.”
5. Ambitious Living Shoreline Project Combats Coastal Land Loss in South Carolina
Tumblr media
“Living shorelines stabilize coastlines by reducing the impacts of waves and rising sea levels. They are made of materials that promote the growth of marsh grasses and commercially important species like oysters and crabs. […C]oastal sites could offset almost 80 percent of tidal habitat loss with careful conservation and management. […] Young people in this AmeriCorps program receive training, a living stipend, an education award, and connections to potential employers.”
6. Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge announces proposal to modernize water infrastructure
Tumblr media
“Under the refuge’s proposal, the Service would improve 4,400 feet of an earthen water delivery ditch, rehabilitate 1,200 feet of Upper Lake Dam, develop 100 feet of new diversion channel into critical nesting habit for federally endangered southwestern willow flycatcher, modernize current water monitoring stations and improve 640 feet of the Pahranagat Ditch Drain. […] The improvements will result in significant habitat improvements for multiple bird species, [… and] also enhance flood control holding capabilities of the Upper Lake for the Pahranagat Valley.”
7. New chemical process separates textile fibers for easier recycling
Tumblr media
“A combined team of chemical and biomolecular engineers [... have] developed a way to chemically separate fibers in textiles, allowing them to be recycled more quickly and cheaply than conventional methods. [... T]hey found they could break apart the textiles in as little as 15 minutes. They also noted that the process [breaks down polyester and spandex into] organic compound[s] that could conceivably be used to create more polyester. [... T]he material integrity of both the nylon and the cotton were retained, suggesting they could be used to make new batches of clothes.”
8. Pongamia trees grow where citrus once flourished, offering renewable energy and plant-based protein
Tumblr media
“[Some Floridian] farmers are turning to the pongamia tree, a climate-resilient tree with the potential to produce plant-based proteins and a sustainable biofuel. […] Pongamia trees also don't need fertilizer or pesticides. They flourish in drought or rainy conditions. And they don't require teams of workers to pick the beans. […] The legume is now being used to produce several products, including Panova table oil, Kona protein bars and protein flour. The legumes also produce oil that can be used as a biofuel, largely for aviation, which leaves a very low carbon footprint[….]”
9. Trans candidate celebrates receiving more votes than anti-trans campaigner Posie Parker
Tumblr media
“An independent trans candidate says that she hopes receiving more total votes than anti-trans campaigner Posie Parker at the general election will show trans children that they are loved. […] Bristol Central was won by Green Party’s out bisexual co-leader Carla Denyer, while Parker received just 196 votes, equal to 0.5 per cent[….] Elsewhere, trans candidate Sophie Molly secured 225 votes standing as an independent at the other end of the country, in Aberdeen South[….]”
10. Ohio zoo celebrates birth of critically endangered western lowland gorilla
Tumblr media
“The Columbus Zoo said the gorilla was born June 29 and first-time mother Sue is "very attentive and providing excellent care to her little one, who she nuzzles and cradles closely." […] “With tiny hands and beautiful big brown eyes that melt our hearts, this baby is absolutely precious—in regard to both the cuteness factor and what the baby represents for this species’ future. We are proud of the dedication of our care teams who diligently work to provide the gorillas with top quality care and wellbeing while continuing the legacy of the Columbus Zoo’s renowned gorilla program,” said Audra Meinelt, curator of the Columbus Zoo’s Congo Expedition region.”

I'm feeling very flustered and frustrated right now. Here's the situation
The other day when I requested help to get grub hub I received enough to justify also buying litter. The litter charged through cleanly, but dinner did not. At the time of ordering I had precisely what I needed for rent, for food, and for litter. The balance of that is showing I currently have enough for rent, but the food charge is still pending, and does not appear to have factored out of my balances. Math is currently showing I'm somehow 37$ short for rent. I don't know what's going on there.
The litter I ordered, the litter that charged through cleanly, the clean litter, that litter... it's delayed. It won't be here until monday.
While I was showering today Jerry pulled the curtain back to check on me and wound up filling the bathroom litterbox with water. All that litter is ruined now. That's the only litterbox my super geriatric cat will use
I now need litter sooner than I was expecting I would. In theory I could simply clean the box out and pour part of whats in the other two boxes into it but there's simply not enough of it to go around.
ordering litter on it's own from a grocery delivery service is cost prohibitive, but leaving the house when it's near to snowing out and I don't have appropriate winter gear for my mobility aids is not advisable.
I'm also short on groceries, so I checked to see what groceries and litter would cost me through delivery. it wants to authorize a sixty dollar grocery order for 80 dollars.
I do not have 80 dollars. I don't even have 60. I might not even have everything i need for rent
But at least I can draw again??? so I have art to offer?
Anyway. Apparently i need At Minimum 100$, part for groceries and litter, part as buffer in case I fucked myself over somehow.
Comms are, as always, open, but due to circumstances everything is half off so long as everyone is ok with waiting for turn around.

10 things to think about before you share your heat with your pack for the first time
Which method of contraception will work best? Key here is the number of your pack!! How many alphas/betas are you working with? a) The Shot -> Contraceptive injection in the days before your heat hits, 99% effective with 5 or less Alphas. b) Reverse Shot -> Contraceptive injection for any alphas/betas in your pack [I recommend this for larger packs!!] 99% effective, especially if you keep on your own regular pill. c) Keep with your usual pill -> One alpha/two betas. 75% Effective. d) IUD -> 99% effective for unmated packs, lasts for 5 years. 75% effective with your mates. Always keep in mind that although it feels good and makes your omega instincts happy to partake in fluid play during your heat, any respectful partner that is worth your time and energy will wear a condom for the duration should you ask them. This is always a method to boost your contraception, and can be used in conjunction with any of the above methods. Yes they do sell heat specific condoms and dental dams, and they should be available in any corner shop.
Are there any supplements I should be taking? This is highly specific to your biology - but please ask this question of a doctor or nurse if you haven't had an active heat in a while [nesting heats anyone!?] But also!! If you've been nursing or just single, this is really important! Most doctors will recommend a general vitamin [wellomega, vitanest, or similar are pretty good in this regard] but you may end up needing something heavy in zinc or iron. This question may mean you need to get blood tests, heads up!
How many days am I entitled to for my heat leave? And if you know your heat will run over ask for a medicinal certificate - for you and your partners if need be.
If you suffer from PHS [pre heat syndrome], talk to your doctor about pain levels and management. You are not alone, don't suffer in silence. There are prescription pain killers for those killer cramps, okay!!
If you haven't been sexually active with your partners before this, get tested. Don't ignore this bullet point, open STD TESTING NEAR ME and book it right now.
If you're worried about letting your partners down, about not having a good heat, or about personality clashes during heat, please talk about it. Your GP is used to these questions, and will be able to put your mind at ease. If I can offer any advice, its that your partners love you. You know this. And, as one of my mates said to me recently, "I'm not going to stop loving you just because you're begging for sex for three days."
ON THE SUBJECT OF THREE DAYS: Three days is a long time to be on your back, alright. Get some exercise in there of the upright variety, and don't be afraid to buy in those aquaballs, kay? You need liquids. Dioralyte is always an option, but try and get water in you first - passing out due to dehydration is not a good look - and you will loose lots of fluids, trust me. Similarly, either get your pack to start precooking foods now, or book a delivery service [HelloNest is one I personally like, they deliver everything on the eve of your heat, and you can choose for meals to either be premade and just need reheating, or preprepared so that they can be assembled on the day. Choose appropriately and don't be ashamed about whatever you pick.]
Do you have omega mates? If you do, this is even better - nobody knows omegean pleasure like an omega, and nobody can read your heat emotion microchanges like an omega either. [these are happy tears, I swear - right?] Talk with them. You should talk with all members of your pack before your heat, but talking with your nestmate(s) is(are) particularly important. Whether its about how your heatspace displays itself [messy? demanding? argumentative? teary? subby? dommy? etc] or about whether you feel that you might get jealous of them. I knew an omega once who only spend their heats with their nestmates. Whatever way you feel, it's valid. People will only know what you want if you tell them!!
Do you have new towels and sheets? I know it sounds expensive. But once you use them for your heat with these partners, you can reuse them for the same. Your nose will scent lots of things during heat [non heat sex, weirdly, can be a trigger for some so be aware of that!], and your skin is usually over sensitive afterwards. Treat yourself!! [or beg bribe scent someone into treating you!!
Sex toys!! It is not a failure on your partners part to buy sex toys. [and its not a failure on your part to buy lube. the glide makes everything better, invest.] If you haven't had an active heat in a while, sex toys are a good idea, as you might not know where your heat libido will be. Having an aid is useful for so many reasons - body configurations being the most obvious! Go and invest in one or two heat specific ones.
HAVE FUN!!! You deserve to!

Hello! My family and I want to help the strike as much as we can. We’re avoiding AI, and should we also refrain from watching shows on streaming services? I couldn’t find any answers on this, thank you for your time ❤️
Thank you, that's actually so kind of you!
The very first thing you can do if you live in/near NYC or LA is show up to bring your solidarity to the picket line. Schedules and locations here. You can also support direct action by contacting either WGA West or WGA East to find out how you can send food or water delivery to the picket lines.
I'm not an expert in how this works, but another option might be to contact the WGA using the same information linked above to find out if it's possible to financially donate to the WGA Strike Fund, which supports union members through both loans and grants. If for some reason donations directly to the guild aren't possible, it's likely whoever you speak with will be able to direct you to other resources that are collecting donations to redistribute to union members. Their information will be more reliable than anywhere else. If someone more educated than me sees this and wants to add anything here, please do.
As for refraining from watching shows on streaming services... This one's loaded. Those shows are already written so the actual watching of them or not doesn't really make much of a difference at this point, it's not like they're being written by scab writers. (Yet.) What you could do instead is cancel your streaming subscriptions altogether. It might not seem like your $10/month alone makes much of an impact, but the bottom line is that this strike is happening because the studios care more about exponential monetary growth to appease their Wall Street bosses than anything else. So, small or large, hitting them financially makes more of a statement than anything else.
Again, I really appreciate your family's support and solidarity in this.

Balancing pH Levels: The body's pH levels can be influenced by diet and other factors. Alkaline water can help maintain a more balanced pH, potentially reducing the risk of specific health issues.
Improved Hydration: Alkaline water is thought to be more easily absorbed by the body, which means you may experience better hydration and more efficient water delivery to your cells.
Mineral Absorption: Alkaline water may improve the benefits of essential minerals like magnesium and calcium, crucial for maintaining bone health.

Miami water slide rentals near me
Tumblr media
If you’re considering a splashy addition to your next party or event, finding the perfect water slide rental is key to ensuring everyone has a great time. Here’s what you need to know about Miami water slide rentals near me, including tips for selecting the best option and making the most of your experience.
Water slide rentals offer a fantastic way to bring excitement to any event, from birthday parties and family reunions to corporate gatherings and community festivals. With Miami’s year-round warm climate, a water slide can turn an ordinary day into a memorable adventure for kids and adults alike. Plus, with the variety of slides available, you can find something to suit every space and budget.
When searching for Miami water slide rentals near me, you’ll come across a wide range of options. Here are some of the most popular types:
Inflatable Water Slides: These are among the most common rentals. They come in various sizes and designs, from single-lane slides to massive, multi-lane setups. Inflatable slides are easy to set up and take down, making them a convenient choice for many events.
Slip ‘N Slides: Ideal for smaller gatherings or backyard parties, slip ‘n slides offer a more compact but equally fun experience. They usually consist of a long, slippery surface that ends in a splash pool, providing a thrilling ride without requiring a lot of space.
Dual-Lane Slides: For competitive fun, dual-lane slides allow two people to race each other down the slide. These are great for parties where guests are eager to challenge each other and see who can make the biggest splash.
Combo Units: Combo units typically feature a water slide along with other elements like a bounce house or climbing wall. These are perfect if you want to offer a variety of activities in one rental.
Custom and Themed Slides: Some rental companies offer custom or themed water slides, which can be a big hit for themed parties or special events. These can include everything from pirate ships to jungle adventures, adding an extra layer of excitement.
Selecting the perfect water slide rental involves considering several factors:
Space and Location: Measure the area where you plan to set up the slide. Ensure you have enough space not only for the slide itself but also for the safety zone around it. Be aware of any obstacles like trees, fences, or power lines that could interfere with setup.
Size and Capacity: Consider the number of guests and the size of the slide. For large events, you might need multiple slides or a larger model to accommodate everyone. Ensure the slide can handle the weight and number of users you expect.
Age Appropriateness: Different slides cater to different age groups. Make sure to select a slide that is appropriate for the age range of your guests. Some slides are designed specifically for younger children, while others are more suited for teens and adults.
Safety Features: Check that the rental company provides slides with proper safety features such as sturdy sidewalls, non-slip surfaces, and adequate splash pools. It’s also important to ensure the rental company is reputable and follows safety regulations.
Rental Terms and Costs: Compare prices and rental terms from different companies. Look for what is included in the rental fee—such as setup, takedown, and any additional equipment like generators or safety mats. Also, inquire about any additional costs for delivery or extended rental periods.
To find Miami water slide rentals near me, start with a local search online or ask for recommendations from friends and family. Check online reviews and ratings to gauge the reliability and quality of service from different providers.
Choose a company with a strong track record and positive customer feedback. This can help ensure you receive a high-quality product and reliable service.
Verify that the rental company is insured and certified to operate. This adds an extra layer of security and ensures they adhere to safety standards.
Good customer service is crucial for a smooth rental experience. A company that is responsive and willing to answer your questions can make the planning process much easier.
Before your event, make sure to review the rental agreement carefully and confirm all details with the rental company. On the day of the event, inspect the slide upon arrival to ensure it’s in good condition and meets your expectations.
By understanding your options and planning, you can make sure your water slide rental provides a day of fun and excitement for everyone. So dive into the search for Miami water slide rentals near me and get ready for a splashy adventure that will make your next event unforgettable!

Legacy (what is a legacy?) Part 15
It’s planting seeds in a garden you never get to see I wrote some notes at the beginning of a song someone will sing for me
Hamilton, the world was wide enough. LMM.
one, two, three, four, Five, six seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen
Summary: Mike is 13. Born May 2009. Sid didn’t know he had a son. All Mike had was hope and a prayer for his and his half-sister’s safety.
(Sid is a dad of a teen he didn’t know about AU) Sidgeno.
Warnings: (for the total story) post-child abuse (all off-screen but it affects things and is spoken about often), learning how to parent, panic attacks, anxiety, based on last season, OCs?, realization about sexuality. Post breakups. Desperate lack of in-depth research for CPS in both PA/CA, melodrama?, kidfic, angst, slowburn, playing fast and loose with the law for drama/storytelling purposes.
-
Sid and Geno chose to order dinner rather than try to make anything from the kitchen the way they communicated on the ice during a play sometimes: simultaneously and with good practice. Of course, it tended to be about power plays, and now Sid should really get to the net so Geno could get the puck to him, but sometimes it's pizza.
One of the Italian places near them made good in-season meals and pizza for the kids. Geno mocked him for not having an app for the place or a food delivery service, but Sid would call in and talk to a person instead of ordering from a faceless app. All Sid had to do was call in the order, but he had no idea what the kids wanted.
How was he supposed to be a good father?
Some of that had to have played across his face as Geno laughed and told him to go ask.
Sid's person was black and yellow, with what looked like an attempt at an "87" in a childish hand-scrawled on the chest.
Marisol opened the door fully to show that Mike and Nikita had crashed out on Mike's bed.
Jeff had shown up a few days ago with the dolls, saying his girls didn't want or need them anymore and insisted that they go to someone who would love them. Marisol's eyes lit up when she saw the dolls for the first time, so Sid was pretty sure Jeff's girls would be pleased with where they ended up.
Sid had been grateful because he didn't know what Marisol would even like.
"Muy cansada." She said, lacking most of the energy he had come to expect of her post-nap self, "You be Dad. I'm Bluey." She ordered – neither of the dolls in her hands were of the dogs from the cartoon he had heard a lot about from the dads on the team.
Sid agreed and tried desperately to remember what cansada was in Spanish. He had just heard it on the TV program they had been watching yesterday morning. Something about sleep? But it was before the character had gone to bed…
Tired. It meant tired.
As they played for a bit, Sid gently talked to Marisol, trying to learn more about her feelings and whether she was doing better. It was hard because she kept on answering in Spanish, and Sid was sure it was just as disjointed as her English.
Nikita was the first to move, still filled with the energy of children.
Once Nikita was done talking, Mike's brain seemed to come fully online, and he immediately backpedaled. "Cheese would be fine," he said, looking away toward Marisol.
Marisol didn't even seem to notice; she and Nikita were playing with the dolls and talking about pizza.

A sandstorm to force a conversation
Tumblr media
Rating: PG
Pairing: Vash X F!Reader
CW: Sandstorms, flirting,
Word count: 2514
A/N: Chapter 6 of Bounty hunting 101: You should be good at this, and the last one in this fic in the series
Tumblr media
A grunt leaves your lips as you guide the Toma by their reins into a cave, having been overtaken by the sudden sandstorm you hadn’t expected. Once inside you started unwrapping the cloth from around your face and coughing. Taking a sip of water before violently coughing again and turning to the Toma to give them a drink as well.
“Well that certainly wasn’t fun now was it.” You sigh, checking over your gear glad you had the remains of a scarf wrapped around you to use, glad you hadn’t tossed it in the last town like you’d planned.
It’s been a few short weeks, but you’d told your most recent guide you were done, paying them over for their service and moving on. ‘Back to just random wandering’ you think to yourself before turning to the bird and giving its beak a soothing pet.
“Let’s move a little more into the cave” you whispered to the bird, leading it farther back and keeping an eye out for worms. Taking a turn and freezing, there’s a fire in this cave, releasing the Tomas reins to grab your rifle.
“Listen, there’s a storm out there and I’d rather play nice then make someone have a bad day” voice ringing out in, and rifle poised to appear to look like you’re ready to escalate the fight if you need to. Groaning at who appears, face falling into a frown.
“Well I did say ‘maybe next time will be under better circumstances’ last time we met. Glad to see you made it out alright.” Voice cheerful as he comes out of his hiding spot. “I know you said play nice, was that true?”
Rolling your eyes you sling your rifle and bring the Toma closer letting the bird settle just at the edge of the ring of heat. “Yea. Rather not have a fight inside of a cave, those never end well. So you’re hiding in caves now?” Trying to keep your tone light.
“Well, yea. For the same reason you are, I saw the storm coming.” Sitting at the fire as he has a small pot set near the edge of the fire, cooking something. That makes you snicker, how nice of him to think you might have seen the storm coming.
Digging through your bag you grab a few meal blocks for yourself, before taking the bag from where it’s tied to the tomas saddle and dropping it on the side of the fire opposite Vash. Without realizing it you’ve both set up boundaries that neither one of you wants to break.
As he stirs whatever he has in the small pot you feel his eyes as they keep flicking towards you, a feeling you try to avoid. As the silence drags he doesn’t take his eyes from the small pot. “It’s not much but I made stew.”
Single eyebrow raised, you adjust your bag using it as a backrest “good for you.” He better not be planning to do what you think he’s going to do.
You swear his eyes are practically twinkling with the smile it sends your way “more than I can eat if you’d like some.” Son of a bitch.
Another roll of your eyes “thanks but no thanks.” Holding up the still wrapped meal blocks between your fingers “I’ve got food.” Sure it’s not much, but you find the bars do cover all the nutrients you need even if they are bland and tasteless. Most importantly you can get a lot of them into your bag.
Shaking his head, the messy blond locks bouncing all around “you’d rather meal blocks over real food?” A look of confusion plastered to his face and all you do is glare back at him. A brief shrug of his shoulders giving the pot another quick stir. “I thought you might have jumped at the chance, you did say you wanted to marry me after eating it in that town a few months ago.”
You’d been drinking water, and his nonchalant delivery has you sputtering water having gone down the wrong way at the sound of his words. Fist beating against your chest as you turn your attention to him “why would you bring that up?” Feeling the briefest hint of heat growing across your cheeks.
In comparison to you Vash has a grin unlike one you’ve seen on that blond idiot's face. A cross between shit eating and joyful. “Seemed like a good time, and I wanted to get that glare off your face.”
Looking down into the fire, while you try to keep your face neutral you fail in keeping the aggravation from your voice. “I wasn’t glaring.” You both know that’s a flat faced lie and he calls you out on it.
“No you were.” Another stir of the pot, his smile returning to more of a sad one, eyes downturning. A sigh, and he’s rubbing the back of his head. “Look. I know we haven’t been on the best terms, but we’re stuck in here for a few hours.” Voice trailing off, almost like he’s afraid to ask the question, head dropping to stare into something you can’t see within the depth of the fire.
Adjusting your body again so you can lean your elbows against your knees staring at him from across the fire. “So what are you asking for?” If he doesn’t want to voice it you’ll push, you’re already tired from the sandstorm and you can feel it starting to settle into your bones.
The silence reigns for a while, broken only by the sound of the bubbling pot before his head is lifted from staring into the burning coals. Fixing you with his gaze that once again all you can see is your own reflection staring back in those mirrored lenses. “A truce for now?”
That’s all he wants? You pretty said that as you came into the cave? And it dawns on you, he thinks you’ll still try to nab him, just like how you suspect him of trying to knock you out again. A roll of your shoulders, a long exhale and running a hand through the wind swept tangled mess that is your own hair. “I guess I can agree to that.”
A soft admission but his face seems to change right away, almost lighting up and you can see the smile in those blue eyes as he nods. Such a strange man and an enigma to you “then, want that serving of stew?”
It makes you laugh, and you nod “Yea, I guess, save my meal blocks if you’re willing to share.” Watching as he digs through his own bag, pulling out two bowls and spoons and removing the pot from where it was sitting so he can drop a portion into each bowl.
Gingerly handing you one of them “thanks” It’s a soft whisper as you accept the bowl, it’s thick and smells divine. You don’t even have a spoon and your stomach betrays you, a loud gurgling noise resounding around the cave.
“Guess you should dig in” why the hell does that have you blushing? Finally taking the spoon to the bowl you have to bite back a moan. Even outside of a kitchen his cooking makes your mouth water, where the hell did this guy learn to cook? The two of you eat in silence, pouring water from your canteen into the empty bowl and drinking it like a thinner soup once most of the stew was gone.
Leaning back against your bag you sigh feeling content as the food settles in your stomach, watching him from across the fire. Curious about something but you aren’t going to bring it up. “So, no second marriage proposal?”
Snorting once more, shaking your head at his teasing “you turned me down the first time so why would I ask again? I know how to take no for an answer.” Teasing right back as you drink from your canteen once more.
“Really now? A bounty hunter that respects people? You really are in a class of your own.”
You find yourself grinning, watching his eyes shining with mirth across from you, opening your mouth. “Oh yea? Says the wanted criminal that saves little girls in gun fights, helps struggling families for free, oh and knocks out bounty hunter that are after him? I don’t think you should be saying anything Stampede.”
That has him laughing, rubbing the back of his head “You got me there, Ghost.”
“Yea no.” Your answer is short and clipped “don’t call me that.”
“Well not like I know your name. You never introduced yourself so what am I supposed to call you? Annoying lady trying to catch me for my bounty?” He’s the one leaning forward on his legs now, coat spread out around him and you realize just how much the oversized garment hides of his physique. “My name is a closely guarded secret, but hey you wanna use that mouthful it’s up to you.” Shrugging at him, even if he does it’s not like you’re ever going to answer to something like that. Then again. You don’t know why you keep letting people call you the Ghost Sniper when you hate it so much.
“Alright, Snipes then.” He’s grinning now, and that stupid twinkle is back in his eyes, and you refuse to admit how it seems to add to his charm.
“Snipes?”
“Well, you use a sniper rifle most of the time. Makes sense since you don’t wanna tell me your name.” A shrug of his shoulders as he leans back once more, back restings against the wall of the cave.
“I don’t know, a nickname makes it seems like we’re friends.” You find yourself whispering low, just loud enough that both of you can hear it.
“I’d like to think we are.” Snorting once more, the questions been burning at the back of your mind and now is the best time to ask it.
“Why’d you save me?”
A more than loaded question, and you have a lot more but it’s been eating at you since the incident happened. As far as you can tell, out of all the bounty hunters you’ve met most give up after one run in with Vash the Stampede. Hanging there over that cliff edge after the explosion in the building had been his best chance to get rid of you.
The smile on his face drops away and his eyes grow somber. “My body moves on it’s own, I can’t stand by while people are in a tough spot.” An answer you hadn’t been expecting, because it hits too close to home. Making a small fist and digging your nails into the meat of your hand.
“Is that why you have a bounty? Saving people and getting yourself into trouble for being in the wrong place at the wrong time?” Last time you asked he just told you he deserved it, and now you want to know if he’ll shed more light on the subject.
“Partially. It just seems like everywhere I go, chaos seems to follow.” That has you raising an eyebrow watching as his expression seems so forlorn.
“I call bullshit on that one.” Rolling your eyes at his statement, no one has luck that bad and it’s not how the universe works.
“What?” The confusion on his face is almost palpable, the one word echoing around the room.
“You just said you can’t stand by when people are in a tough spot. Sounds more like you run head long into trouble when most people run away from it.” Shrugging as you give him a hard stare. How has he survived for this long even with a bounty if that’s his general attitude towards himself.
“Funny. Isn’t that what you did when you heard about the hostages?” You have to smirk at that while his face is still drawn. It’s a nice attempt at deflection once more, trying to pull your own antics into the situation.
“Yea. But we’re not talking about me right now and I don’t have a bounty.” Almost singing the words at him in a mocking tone, this time you aren’t going to let him get away from the subject at hand. Starting to think you might tell him what you already know regarding your more recent decisions and the reason you don’t have a guide anymore.
“You do know they call me the Humanoid Typhoon because of all that chaos don’t you?” And you do, from the rumor mill since you’ve never seen it in action but a lot of towns blame him for their misfortunes. A lot of them claim he steals plants, leaving towns decimated but you saw the exact opposite with your own eyes back in Jeneora Rock.
“I do. I will say, after all this time, I’ve made up my own mind. Every storm has an eye and I don’t think you’re the only one in the middle of yours.” Biting your lip, you’ve come to a final decision. “Listen. After what I've seen, I might have questions but.” You pause hoping he’ll get the point you’re being rather serious with him. “I am done trying to catch you. I think there’s more to you than meets the eye.”
“Do you expect me to believe that?” Instead of answering you find yourself standing and walking towards him hand outstretched.
“Well, you’ve learned I seem to stand by my word. So yea, shake on it, I’m done trying to catch the infamous Humanoid Typhoon, Vash the Stampede.” A real smile on your face for once, voice sincere you really are done trying to catch him
This time Vash is the one laughing, standing and grabbing your hand in his giving it a firm shake. “So, does this mean we are friends?”
“Don’t push it. More like casual acquaintances.” Grinning in response to his words.
“Well then, casual acquaintance. Where are you headed after the storm passes?” Both of you returning to the opposite sides of the fire and sitting once more, the Toma beside you, trilling that it wants some attention as you pet it’s feathers.
“Wherever the wind takes me I guess.” Shrugging, because you have just gone back to wandering.
“Well, what if we travel together?” His voice sounds almost hopeful “two travelers tend to get less looks when they roll into town.”
His argument makes sense but you aren’t biting at that trap “travel together? With you? Yea I don’t think so.” His face falls at that and you have to mentally tell yourself not to give in to his puppy dog look.
A few hours later, the sound of the sandstorm is gone as you both depart from the cave taking a seat on your Toma and leaving at a slow trot. Vash right behind “I said we aren’t traveling together.”
“And I’m just going in the same direction” a wide grin painted on his face. The first shift in your relationship with Vash the Stampede begins. No longer enemies but not quite friends.

Up early on a Saturday (it's my Friday) again. Usually I get to work early to open the cafe for breakfast service so that our bee pick up customers have a coffee and hot food option on site; a lot of them drive for hours to pick up their nucs and packages, even from out of state. Just coming from north Texas is basically out of state by sheer distance alone lol.
But today is BuzzFest, our annual summer festival about all things bees. We have the American Honey Princess visiting from Iowa, multiple other apiaries and honey producers vending and doing demonstrations, honey tastings and trivia, educational demonstrations, food trucks and arts and crafts and games (including a bouncy castle and a water slide!)... It's expected to be a big event, hopefully nearing 1,000+ customers between 11-3 today.
I'm assigned to retail, so I'm lucky enough to get to stay in the shade and AC. I've been told that when in retail, you just stand behind the register all day, no time or space to do anything else. You have to force bathroom and food breaks for each other. I'm not too worried, I've worked many a high volume, high chaos event before. This is just my first experience with it at the farm. We've spent all week as a team prepping for it, and it should be great. I wanted to make kolaches for my coworkers for a morning treat, but I stayed at work so late yesterday and was exhausted when I got home last night and decided not to stay up late baking lol. I'll grab some from the bakery down the street and try to make everyone a latte or something at work instead.
Because of the absolute disaster that has been this years bee pick up season, everything has been pushed back at least two weeks. Usually BuzzFest, which is the same weekend every year, signals the end of the crazy bee season, but we still have orders going into June. I was kind of looking forward to the break, but it seems we're not quite there yet.
The kids have some family events planned for the beginning of June, so we're getting them a week or so later this year for summer break than usual. We want them to have fun with their free time, so we're cool with it... Plus honestly, I'm hoping it will show good faith for December when I have to ask to keep them longer for an event with my side of the family 😁 my grandma is slowly deteriorating from rheumatoid arthritis and parkinson's, and my mom wants all the generations to be able to spend another holiday with her while we can. I want the kids to be able to participate in my family too. And, it'll let me get through the late bee season with relative ease, I suppose. I'm not gonna lie, I take on a lot of the caretaking responsibility when the kids are around usually, but now my husband has to step up for once lol bc I'm busting my ass full time and won't have the mental or physical energy left over most days to do all I normally do for everyone. He's already suffering the experience of doing regular weekly chores alone and taking care of the dogs all day lolol.
We're also anxiously and concernedly waiting for word on the debt ceiling crisis. They've extended the decision date to June 5, but we won't know if my husband will stop receiving paychecks soon or not, and it's crushing everything with stress pressure. He makes more than me in his military retirement and we depend on his income for survival; I can't support us alone. If they cut military support and punish the average voter for no goddamn reason, per usual, we'll suffer significantly. He's even warned his ex wife that if things go south, we may not be able to afford having the kids visit for summer. We won't be able to feed them. We've already unsubscribed from any extra services like entertainment and delivery and such which we deemed not absolutely necessary, just in preparation. We've re-budgeted and cut out any possible extra spending and reduced allowances for gas and food. I'm hoping it's all a stupid pissing contest like it was about a decade ago, and things will somehow turn out okay. Hope beyond hope.
Time to go work for those pennies baby lol

The Curse of Creativity and the suffering of artists:
"There are tons of people who are just as good as me." - Seiji Amasawa, Whisper of the heart (1995)
Ghibli movies have always had a huge impact on me. Full of quiet sensibilities and easily understood complex concepts; Ghibli movies made my childhood and the person I am today. And despite the cuteness of Totoro, the innocence of Ponyo, the quirky weirdness of Howl's moving castle (the themes of that movie are so intricate too) or the message about hardwork and burnout in Kiki's delivery service, there is one movie that remains in my heart (no pun intended)
"Whisper of the Heart" has taught me so much about myself and the path I am headed. It is the most beautiful, soul-crushing movie I have ever watched not because it has wars and the death of loved ones but because it is relatable and grounded. I can see myself in Shizuko and Seiji, I understand their struggles and dreams. I smiled with them and I cried for them. I related to Shizuko's struggle to see her writing as anything good and Seiji's belief that despite his achievements he isn't anywhere near as good at his skills as some other people.
This movie made me think about the saying I so often hear "Don't suffer for your dreams". While I scoffed at it when an adult said that to me first, now that I am much older and hopefully wiser, the words struck me not as nagging but as a warning.
Suffering doesn't equal great art, some people think that only those who are depressed and mentally ill can make great art, which is completely false. (Although I don't blame those people as many great artists and writers were actually mentally ill, it's not the only thing that makes one a great artist!) You don't have to suffer to be a great artist, you just have to be creative and work hard, there's nothing more to that.
When I was in my most depressed state during the last two years of high school, I wasn't writing or working hard on my book. I was staring at the wall wishing I would disappear. Overcoming that depression led me to write better, work harder, chase my dreams with passion.
During the times where I am stuck in a chapter I can't get through and my brain goes blank, I think to myself if I am actually a good writer or I have been just treading the waters of talent that I don't have. When people call me talented, it makes me squirm, it takes away my hardwork and effort.
Being a creative person is not easy, it's not all sunshine and rainbows where you are constantly getting new ideas. Sometimes it makes my head hurt. Acting on your ideas is not easy. I can think all I want but when it comes to actually writing that idea, I freeze.
Being an artistic person makes you feel self conscious. If anyone will like what I do? Will someone criticize me? What if no one likes my work? What if they judge me? There's someone who is better than me, why should I even bother?
Creativity isn't just a blessing, it's also a curse. It's a double-edged sword.
You should try to achieve the best but not make it your end goal. Life is so much more than success, fame and material goods. I don't write for any of those things, I write for myself and the people I care for. Even if I don't end up publishing any of my novels, I would still write. Never stop dreaming and become monotonous, you don't have to make sure your hobbies earn you money, they should give you peace and happiness.
There are times when I spend too much time in front of my computer typing out another new story when I stop and think back at those words, I don't feel dispassionate, suffering won't make me happy, writing whatever I want would. So I type ahead for some more minutes and take a break. I indulge in the world that I create in my books and make characters that I love more deeply than human beings, but I don't want it to become my life. I would still do normal everyday things and talk to normal everyday people. Work-life balance is utter bullshit and too idealistic, but making sure your work doesn't consume your life is what matters.
Even if I do end up getting an ordinary job and not making my hobby a career, I would not be disappointed.
I am ready to live a life of rationality and pragmatism but I will never accept monotony.
