If you've seen my stories you know this awesome @watchmodperfect and @luciusatelier "perfect snowflake" giveaway watch I was fortunate enough to win last month has been getting a fair amount of wrist time, but I haven't actually posted to my feed so here are a few of my favorite shots from the first few weeks of ownership ↔️ The watch wears great and has been a comfortable daily while plugging away on the computer. Shout out to @watchmodperfect for turning me on to this Vostok "PAMphibian" 170964 (credit to WMP for that 💯 nickname). I have been crushing on Panerais for a while now but they were nowhere near a reality for my budget. These new models from Vostok are super affordable and come in a few different dials (currently sold out on Meranom but a few on eBay at a premium). They take a month or two to ship from Russia, but I think they're totally worth it for a funky retro diver with just enough Panerai inspiration w/o being a blatant ripoff. I love the sandwich dial and the proportions are actually really nice - the watch wears much smaller overall than I was expecting. I'm not going to post my top 9 bc not a single one of my favorite photos is on it. Not a single staged shot that I spent an hour or more setting up and editing...it was basically all Longines Bigeye pics, which says a lot about that watch. I remember first lusting after it when @jeep99dad had one and posted daily pics of it. Instead I'm posting this incredible Snowflake owned by my buddy @watchmodperfect where noticed that the Grand Seiko logo was actually reflecting off the underside of the crystal and back on top of the hands! A fitting reminder to stop and "reflect" on the year that was and how we can all do better in 2021 😊 Thanks to all my friends, customers, and the @carolinawatchclub for being a bright spot in a year filled with too much ugliness.
