Its definitely not #feikofriday, but this nonsense is getting out of hand - all of these were recent ended eBay auctions, at astronomical prices, for, well, complete rubish. All but one featured completely fake dials and a slew of other #feiko parts, and of course, no mention of such in the auction description by seller (and most of these sellers are on other platforms as well, like etsy and Chrono24. Going in depth on a silver Seiko 6139-600x this #feikofriday - as these steadily increase in value/price, we will unfortunately see more #feiko xamples of this amazing variant being sold. This one has quite a few issues, first and foremost a fake dial, fake inner tachy ring, incorrect bracelet, and other problems. Yet the seller - another regular #feiko seller out of Bath, UK (hmmm, something in the water?) - is suspiciously vague about the watch, and claims the dial to be in "excellent condition" (it's a year old, of course it looks "excellent"). Naturally, seller doesn't claim this 6139 to be all original, but instead hints at it - false advertising at its finest. For today's #seiko6139fifty, a rather unique July 1976 Seiko 6139-7002, with a bead-blasted case and matching NATO with bead-blasted hardware. Took this traveling overseas a few years back, in a Pelican 1020 case with three other watches. Customs officials in a country that will remain unnamed, upon discovering I had the obscenely high number of five watches for two weeks of travel (the horror!) pulled me aside for more "in-depth" screening. Eventually found out customs thought I was smuggling counterfeit watches (quite ironic, given this is #feikofriday)! After discovering none of my watches were Rolex, they let me go. Thankfully the really good fake panda dials seem to only make up 35%-ish or the #feiko's, but these will surely rise, just as prices do.
