ok so an enormous ff7 / ff7 crisis core ramble

Yall might not know but I’m stealing Cissnei and making her my character. I like... just know that she wont be showing up in ff7 remake. tbh she’s is a total flop character in ff7crisis core. she is basically there to serve as a love triangle for Zack and Aerith... But honestly she doesn’t really give anything. Unlike Tifa vs cloud vs Aerith. She’s literally just there as a third wheel which is a bummer! I think it’s likely because um... there’s a lot of lore to get through with that game lol. And honestly Zack, Aerith, Genesis, Sephiroth, Cloud, and Angeal are far more important that Cissnei. 

Anyways... Listen. To my fellow crisis core fans. Consider this. A Cissnei who is an actual competitor to Aerith. She’s cute, clever, but like... more chill than Aerith. And hold her own secrets, you never find out her name, and despite her cute appearance she is an active participant of the Turks. Her job is to be a spy and a killer for a mega company! She’s been raised by Shinra, they are her family. Unlike most in that game, she remains loyal to Shinra. 

But throughout her time in the series you see her falling for Zack and opening up to him. Seeing that there are people outside of Shinra who will treat her with friendliness and respect. Not everyone is her enemy. It is ultimately a hopeless love because Zack is in love with Aerith! When she is meant to capture Zack and Cloud, instead of giving up on the fight (and getting that WACK scene of Genesis eating Zack’s hair) she does fight Zack. It is visibly one of the hardest moments in her life, what cool exterior you’ve seen from her is gone. She is unable to choose one of her dearest friends over her family. Even if it is wrong. In the end she loses the fight, Zack and Cloud escape.

When they all end up in Gongaga she sees him again. This time with Zack acts out, it makes more sense, she did just try to fight him. Here she lets Zack know that The Turks are following a lead and Angeal has been sighted. When he asks why she is helping him, right after a battle, Cissnei is dodgy. Instead, deflecting to talk about Zack’s family. Admitting that she has been feeling them false hope and information while he has been missing. And that they have welcomed her into the family. She also provides him the keys to her motorcycle here, to give them more time to escape. This softens Zack, but he has no time to thank her because he must find Angeal (obviously this is Hollander). 

In the end, instead of Reno and Rude IMO it should be Cissnei and maybe Tseng in the airplane. (you literally see her board an airplane but the final cutscene is of my boys ????F?!?!!?F?F?F?!?!?!). And she doesn’t save him! so sad.

Anyways part of me wants Cissnei to continue in the Turks. Super emo and part of me wants her to continue in the Turks, acting as an insider for Avalanche. Without any hope for the future of the Shinra company after experiencing their atrocities first hand. 

I think also Cissnei and Tseng should be bffs.... her older brother <:^) they love each other.
