💠Somehow, you've both survived newborns and terrible 2's, but now your once tiny babies are causing not-so-tiny chaos! Even Tony can hardly keep up with them!

💠If you two have been in a room together for a while, it means no one has been watching the boys, and that you're probably about to hear yelling, breaking, or you need to go on a hunt around the house for them 🙃 you can hardly have any time alone without something happening! Just when you think you're both getting into bed early, and perhaps with a few frisky kisses 😘, they're busting through door and climbing on the bed, or it sounds like one was thrown out of bed and is now screaming for both of you 😥 Either way, it has Tony flopping back to his pillow in defeat and groaning right along with them.

💠After a quick pout, though, he usually tells you to get some rest and he'll go check it out 🥺 with one more kiss before he goes 🥺 but even though he told you to stay, it's nice to sneak over and watch him put the kids back to bed ❤ 

💠And catch him on the way out 😏

💠But for the most part, the boys are really good kids! And Tony is still settling into his role as a dad, but besides the occasional pouting he's become a very good parent! And definitely nothing like his own father when Tony was that age. In fact, he welcomes their interruptions when he's on the phone or doing paperwork at home 🥰 you've probably found them preferring to play with their cars in his office and right along his desk, or even asking to their nap in there! You can't tell if he's so tolerant because he's a loving pushover, or if parenthood suddenly granted him all that patience and goodwill 🤨

💠But he does get a little snappy when he's working on a car or a machine. Please don't touch anything! Or break anything! Or wander out of sight! But he does let them "help out" by handing him tools or sorting through and separating varying sizes of nails in the toolbox... yay?

Hey, at least it keeps them distracted for a while-- for both your sakes! Sometimes there are things that need to be done without so many distractions, and the boys love spending time bothering with their parents! It's a good problem to have, but not when they're literally wrestling on top of dad while he's just trying to watch the nightly news, or when they're throwing socks at each other on laundry day 😐

💠But despite it all, the two of you manage to get every day done 😊

💠Except the first time you're ever gone for a few days, or heaven forbid a week or more, and he's in charge of watching the kids... by day 3 they're all just going feral. The tv hasn't even been turned off once, Tony is probably trying to figure out how to get mud out of the carpet, and

💠"Daddy, can we have another popsicle?"

💠"...sure, bring me one too." This is everyone's third popsicle, and dinner has consisted of chicken nuggets and macaroni every night. And probably lunch too... but breakfast is probably cereal and hopefully fruit? Tony can cook a little bit, but he's both tired and too much of a pushover. If that's what they want, then he wants to give it to them! But the only reason they aren't all sick by the time you get home is probably because his mother either stopped by and found out, or Tony realized he's actually really bad at this on his own and needed her help :( And not without a quick scolding that you wish you'd caught when Maria called to tell you all about it 🤧

💠Honestly, the kids are probably partly acting out because you're gone, and they know that Tony is distracted and a pushover... well, at least they're adorable! And maybe it shows that you both need some more parenting tips 😅

💠You'd think it'd be easier when they're at school all day, but Tony insisted on hiring tutors to homeschool the kids, at least for now, but while that sounded like a decent plan, sometimes the boys try to homeschool the teacher instead 😅 sometimes they know more than she does after reading the entire textbook in their free time and would rather learn ahead now, and sometimes they're busy teaching her all about Dragon Ball Z lore between lessons! So now you guys still have them all day, (or just you when Tony is at work), but at least they aren't bothering you for once 😌 the teacher loves it though! Her listening and playing along takes a lot off of your plate, and it's good for the kids :)

💠But you don't get much time once the teacher leaves. They get their assignments done within minutes, and as soon as the teacher leaves (well, sometimes), they're reenacting Godzilla vs King Kong in the living room for the 20th time, except this time it somehow ties into the American Revolution? And then they're outside digging holes all evening because they can't remember where they buried Darth Vader. And then they have to fill those holes. And then when Tony tries to get them inside, he either ends up helping them or they end up wrestling him to the ground!

💠That's pretty much every day 😅 Except for when they go to the park! Tony is kinda like everyone's big brother when they go, pretty much every Sunday afternoon! They all get socialized, Tony gets some sun for once, and you can decide to stay home and get some alone time for a few hours

💠Tony doesn't even know anything about sports! Yet he's out there playing baseball and basketball, and teamed up with Rhodey, their ridiculous rules and silly requirements make everyone laugh, which makes them both pretty popular with all the kids! And unfortunately for Tony, a little too popular with the moms and older siblings… maybe it's time for a ring around that finger.

💠Either way, they get tired out by the evening, and also covered in dirt and a new bruise or two! After a bath the kids usually put themselves to bed 😴 and your kids being fast asleep means you get to join Tony for his bath 😏 except for the days he sneaks brings Rhodey home 😑 who's also tired and probably falls asleep on your couch after dinner...

💠If the kids let him! They absolutely love dad's best friend! But unfortunately, however, you can never get him to babysit for longer than a few hours 😔 Come on, Rhodes, weren't you Tony's roommate? Surely you can handle this :/

💠But when you both need a break from all this? Send them to spend the night with the grandparents for the weekend! They seem to behave a little better, and they seem to have fun just being in a different environment! The only time they start being terrors is when you and Tony have both been on vacation, and it makes them a little cranky after 3-4 days :(

💠And if you take them with you? They'll be asking to go back home after 3-4 days 😓 Unless you go to Disney World. Then they'll be pitching a fit when it's time to leave, but honestly you guys are probably upset too 😭 and it probably ends up being just one more day��� and somehow in that one day they'll manage to drag every pillow and blanket onto the floor for you to pick up. Again.

💠And again, at least they're adorable :) Just like Tony, it gets them out of trouble more times than you'd care to admit 🥰 And they know it 🥰 Especially when they either stick up for each other or just straight up admit to it... with big ol' eyes and sorries 🥺 or apologize to each other without even being told to 🥺 

They really are good kids! They just get carried away with the fun and the chaos! It's a Stark thing 😘 And just like their dad, they'll eat up the attention and kisses 🥰 In fact, they've already learned to be manipulative little shits and hide behind Maria in order to avoid getting in trouble, because she'll be too busy doting on them 😑 

💠You can't even trust Jarvis! He'll even tell the boys to hide and will damn well keep their location a secret! But he's allowed to have his fun! He did the same thing with little Tony! He just misses those days! However, when the coast is clear, Jarvis does sit them down and gently scolds them. He'll hear their side of the story too, of course! Even if it just because they don't wanna go home, and are being annoying by hiding from their parents. Usually after a quick talk, they come right back to you! Suddenly all gentle-natured and apologizing 🙄 but... how could you stay mad :( 

💠Definitely not Tony when he's already packing them over his shoulders and spinning them around! And luckily, they're too busy laughing to protest being packed into the car 😮‍💨

💠And let's be honest, seeing him be so good with the kids is really fucking hot 😏😘

💠But if you're hugging and kissing on Tony... the boys have to be involved in it, too x)

new lost ranking post the hurley episode i watched last night. episode 18? maybe. whatever

1. jack obviously. he’s never getting knocked off the top of the pyramid there’s literally nothing anyone else could do to make me like them more than jack…. nothing this show ever does will ever beat do no harm

2. sayid!!! his swag is like. so unbeatable… he just hits different AND he’s a total hottie too woah… loving his paranoid insane freak arc this season. the writers were like what if we killed his girlfriend and made him act insane. and i’m eating it up actually i mean i wish they hadn’t killed his girlfriend considering that was literally my good friend shannon who i miss deeply. but sayid is NOT moving on and i love it… need me a freak like that sorry

If there's one thing I'm reliant at its being a bit of a hater to kids antics, I simply lack the gift of patience. I am right there with you in those moments I'm ngl. Okay the focus on more of their past dynamic and potentially how they got to be in the profession they're in sounds pretty interesting. The potential for angst skyrockets with each word I hear about this show and I am loving it.

That is,,,, a real unique comparison people have made. As someone who has suffered through two seasons of spyxfamily I can definitely vouch that Anya and Miri are not similar characters at all (To clarify spy family was good up until every progression the characters had was wrote away for a cheap punchline or coincidental memory loss, literally happened every second episode after s1 ep9). The only similarity between the two shows point blank is the premise. I would assume people are trying to draw nonexistent parallels purely based off of that, I have no idea as to why though. From what I saw (so, so little) Miri was undoubtedly acting like a four year old, when she spilt that drink in episode 2 it was very on brand kid looking for attention, I thought it showed her age pretty well. Anya as an older character, literally six years old, but she had a lot more motives at play. Obviously she's still young and immature but a lot more mature than Miri nonetheless. Anya could play strategy and was attempting to aid Loid with his spy missions, I'm going to go out on a limb and assume Miri is not going to locate a bomb or something in the remaining 10 eps I have to watch. Miri seems to be a much more honest and open character whereas Anya can be more scheming and conniving (I say with love, I did like Anya's character up until everyone minus Yor became very dislikable very fast), for her own self preservation. The two of them are pretty incomparable, I can see where your disbelief is coming from.

Uni is making me spin in a circle five times and then jump through a hoop 2 meters off the ground. The biggest thing rn is finding time to carry out experiments for my thesis which I will hopefully finish up with this week! It's actually such coincidental timing but this week I have to give a presentation on the most impactful book I've ever read (purely to build confidence in public speaking, damn though, thought I was in science so I didn't have to talk personally) which was extremely difficult considering all impactful "books" I've read in the past four years have been on ao3. So I ended up scavenging through our old messages trying to locate some book recs you had! I actually ended up with another recommendation from the bts boy though, who was reading Almond, this one is called "The Midnight Library" and sounded pretty intriguing! I'll be reading it tonight and tomorrow so if it's worth it I'll update you. What about you queen, are you still working in the job you started last year? I hope it's been going well if so! I know you're into buddy dads these days but anything else been keeping you occupied? Anime wise myself I'm actually about halfway through hunter x hunter?? I started the end of December and it intrigued me ngl. I'm not sure if you've seen but it's very easy to like the main character and his three main besties so I'm looking forward to seeing how things progress further. I also watched the entirety of Voltron out of pure curiosity for how bad the ending was? And I was surprised to see it was actually as shit as they say. However comma the show did lose its appeal much much earlier, have you ever watched? I actually finished up a kdrama series recently as well I believe you recommended me last year called Beyond Evil and holy fucking shit was it good. Usually I fear for around the halfway mark of kdramas that they lose their purpose but I swear they had only warmed up the engine by ep 8. It was addictive to watch and I was so immersed, my love dong sik and his relationship with inspector Han growing and changing throughout the series was extremely interesting to watch unfold. They were a powerful duo when they worked together and I will miss the thrill of each ep.

Let’s say DJ and Y/N have a kid together. They’re married and living together, their relationship is amazing, and their child is an adorable mixture of them; the whole nine yards of paradise so far.

BUT!

Peter being Peter still refuses to get over the fact that Y/N isn’t his and has a child with someone who doesn’t deserve them (the audacity, huh? 😐). Man’s is even crazier and more unhinged than ever, so he of course, kidnaps DJ and Y/N’s child acting as a friend of their parents to lure out Y/N and kidnap them as well when they search around for their child that they were going to pick up from school while DJ’s at work. Peter has them now and wants to force them to be a “real family” with him and “untaint” Y/N from DJ’s influence. How would DJ react to not only having his sunshine being taken away by the lunatic golfball but also his lil bub when he learns the news?

Did I watch Taken and get inspiration from it for this idea? Yes, Yes I did🗿

DJ quietly ambushes Peters house (cause of course he's kept tabs on the creepy bastard over the years, knowing he might try something like this), mapping it out from the outside, figuring out where his spouse and baby are being held...if they're safe, if that monster hurt them.

if this is day 3 game Peter, i shudder to think what conditions the bastard is keeping them in. perhaps not the kid, no, he's not that cruel...

but y/n? i can see Peter tying them to his bed, gagging them, stripping them down to expose them to the cold mountain air with only his thin sheets over their body.

he keeps their child from seeing them. he'd probably try to play house with the poor kid, just watching cartoons with them while their "mama" struggles and sobs in another room.

Peter would probably tell the kid something along the lines of, "You know, I was supposed to be your dad. Your mama? They were mine first."

needless to say, the kid is scared of this guy and just wants their real parents back. but they know, somehow, that it wouldn't be a good idea to make this guy mad. so they stay quiet, watch their cartoons...until the skinny guy says to stay put while he checks on their mama. they watch as he dissappears down the hall, until they hear a door unlatch and creak open, and then the sound of him walking downstairs.

the kid hears a tap at the window. looking over, they see the exact person they were hoping for. the kid rushes to the window, climbing on a nearby chair to reach the latch. after helping slide the aging wood up, their dad hushes them when they call for him, gathering them up in his arms and immediately turning away from the window.

DJ walks quickly but quietly back to the truck waiting at the bottom of the hill, idling and warm, out of sight of the little farmhouse. he sits his lil bub into the truck, tucking them into a pile of blankets to keep the cold away, and tells them to stay there with tiger (laying on the floor of the truck by the kids feet) until he comes back with their mama. "Won't be long, kiddo. Just sit tight, ok?"

then, DJ storms back up to the house, murder alight in his eyes.

Peter, having come back up the stairs after an unsuccessful attempt at "talking" to his darling, walks back into the living room to find the kid gone. first, he checks the kitchen, thinking maybe they were just hungry. then the bathroom, which is open and empty. the laundry room, both closets, under the bed of their makeshift room, all empty... Peter begins to feel his hackles rise. there's not many other places for this kid to hide, and they couldn't have gotten out on their own.

Peter goes to the knife drawer, pulls out the biggest carving knife he has...he walks silently around the house, checking. he isn't sure, but...a beat of silence passes.

he yells in pain when the first bullet hits him in the leg. he falls, swinging his knife in a wide arc behind him as his back hits the ground. cold, heavy steel whacks him across the face, knocking out a tooth as his head connects with the wood floor. peter is held down by a heavy force around his head and he is quickly disarmed, his knife clattering across the floor, his arms held at an uncomfortable angle behind his back. a knee presses hard into his spine, digging in painfully...he struggles with all his strength, but it isn't enough to move the one holding him down.

"I was ready to let bygones be bygones, golfball," a deep, snarling voice hisses in his ear. "But you just couldn't leave us the fuck alone, could you?"

DJ.

"Like hell!! Y/N is mine, you hear me?! Mine! You took them from me, stole my one chance at happiness!" Peter screams, thrashing in his position on the floor. "I'll never let them go, they're mine-!!"

Peter doesn't get the chance to finish his sentence before his brains are spattered against the hardwood.

DJ stands up straight, raises his gun. He puts three more bullets into Peter's skull before he's sure that the bastard is dead.

he doesn't waste another second on the corpse. there's only one place his sunshine could be and he nearly trips on the way down the basement stairs in his haste. when he sees their shivering form on the massive bed, wrists and ankles red and bleeding, he runs to them. he holds their body to his own, cutting the ropes and freeing them. quickly, he yanks off his red hoodie and gently helps them put it on, both to cover them and keep them warm. they sob and cry, clinging to him, saying his name over and over...

"It's alright sunshine, it's alright, I got you," he hushes them, assures them that their baby is safe too. "We're goin' home now, y/n."

he carries y/n down to his truck, sets them by their child, hugs them both tight.

he climbs into the drivers seat, and DJ and his little family drive off into the night, leaving the little mountain house and it's ghosts in the dust.
