idk if anyone's brought this up before but im pretty sure riz's description of the dying god is referencing the watchmaker analogy

#you can look up the watchmaker analogy on wikipedia if you want #it's a concept inroduced around the time of the scientific revolution which imagines a creator god who sets the universe up and lets it run #like a watchmaker putting together and winding up a watch so that everything is determined without real time intervention #by the creator #as i understand it it's a sort of compromise between creationism and the at the time emerging understanding of natural laws #it also means theres no free will bc of the whole predetermined nature of the universe deal but thats another can of worms #put all this in the tags since i didnt want to bog down the post and as i mentioned it's also easy to look up if you want more detail #kane and feels #kf #original
