╰───┄ @dopplgaenger sent "🤕 or 'knockout’ - cami knocks kai's head against the wall." * ( accepting. )
All his words had contained was provocation, encased in thorns and spikes, with the intention of piercing her skin and almost causing her to itch in order to elicit a response—anything, anything, probing, picking at every wound and scab he could find, tattering her body in wounds that weren't his own. Nervous fingers itch to find a response, as his muscles tightened in his jaw only serving to accentuate how he wished to charge at her like a bull and wanted her to do the same.
"Hey, sorry. Sorry," utters Kai behind a forced laugh. His words, earnest but the grin that tugged at the corner of his lips was anything but, it betrayed him, had betrayed him more than once today. "Dude, my little brother who's like five has way more self control than you. Then again he also had more restraint than me but that's not really difficult, is it?"
A quick, fluid blow swung forward before he could react, grabbing him by the head with an almost unbelievable force. His head hitting the drywall and the sound of the fabric tearing were startling, and the echo reverberated throughout the narrow alley. In sharp contrast to the explosive energy of the moment before, Kai's body went limp as it struck the wall.
The once-boisterous atmosphere fell silent, replaced by a tense stillness. As the impact echoed and the gravity of the situation hung heavy in the air, time seemed to drag on forever. He could still muster a choked up laugh to wave his hand near her, unsure which one of the two version of her he was seeing was actually real. "You're still pretty in all of those versions." And still, the laugh was one of appreciation before darkness forced his eyes shut and pulled him down with it.
