#was able to reread Sightwitch/Truthwitch/Windwitch

Digging this out of the fucking void because I'm finally reading Bloodwitch AND I WAS FUCKING RIGHT

HOLY SHIT I WAS RIGHT AHHH

Okay first off, possible spoilers for Windwitch and Sightwitch below?? 

I’m gonna fuckin screech. I got a theory which I literally just thought of in the shower (always the best place for ideas lmao)

Aeduan is Eridysi and the general’s son

We never learn the general’s name in Sightwitch, which I thought was weird, especially after he and Eridysi fall in love, but if Dennard was trying not to make it too obvious, then it makes sense.

But we know in Windwitch (and maybe Truthwitch, can’t really recall) that the raider king is named Ragnor. We also know Aeduan is Ragnor’s son AND we know Aeduan has Nomatsi blood in him. And the general was Nomatsi. Eridysi isn’t Nomatsi, hence why Aeduan, as Iseult notes, is not full Nomatsi.

Then Esme revels in Windwitch that she received Eridysi’s journal from Ragnor. Why the fuck would a raider king have Eridysi’s journal?? Well cause he’s with Eridysi. However, this is a bit odd to me, cause I thought in Sightwitch that Ryber took Eridysi’s journal. So either I’m remembering wrong, and she didn’t or Eridysi wrote another journal. Quite possible since a big thing for Sightwitchs is to remember everything and record it down - Eridysi could’ve very possibly made a new journal from memory, leaving her original one for Ryber like Lisbet said to do. Or Ryber lost the journal somehow and it ended up back in Eridysi’s/Ragnor’s hands. Though I don’t really think that’s very likely.

ANYWAYS, Lisbet and her little sister who’s name I can’t recall at the moment cause I don’t have Sightwitch on hand, said that they always wanted an older brother. Well Aeduan is definitely older than them now. Eridysi and Ragnor got out of the ice, since there were those people-sized holes Ryber saw, and Eridysi had her baby and it grew up. All while Lisbet and sister are still trapped in the ice unchanging.

Also! We know Ragnor the raider king is gathering an army up in Arithuania. Well, the general had an army, which was supposed to fight the Exalted Ones, all spearheaded by the paladin The Rook King before things went to shit. Annnnd we know that Lisbet said Kullen is a Paladin, which Eridysi and Ragnor would be aware of. With the other cryptic stuff Lisbet’s said about the Paladins dying then coming back and being angry, maybe Ragnor is once again gathering an army to fight the Paladins. They’re returning, and he believes they need to be killed again.

There’s not much support for this yet, but I think Eridysi has died. Aeduan mentions about being uncomfortable with fire in Windwitch and his mother saying ‘run, my child, run.’ Kinda makes it sound like his mother didn’t make it out whatever that situation was. If Eridysi’s dead, then Ragnor handing off her journal to Emse makes a lot of sense because otherwise why couldn’t Esme just talk to Eridysi directly?? You know, assuming the rest of this is correct, but I would bet on it. I think we’ll get confirmation in Bloodwitch since that’s obviously gonna focus pretty heavily on Aeduan.

ANYWAYS PLEASE IF ANYONE’S READ THESE BOOKS COME TALK TO ME ABOUT THESE THEORIES I’D LOVE TO HEAR OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS

I was behind two and a half episodes of critical role and caught up to just the most recent. I prefer listening to the episodes on YouTube since I have YouTube red or whatever it's called these days and can put the screen to sleep, so I'm all ready for the next episode VOD to go live.

I finished a my reread of Truthwitch and was able to start my reread of Windwitch. Next I'll finally read Sightwitch, the novella following a side character, and them I'll FINALLY read Bloodwitch which has been sitting on my shelf since I recieved it on release day.

I just read a whole book today. It was nice to turn off and just enjoy a literary world for several hours.

I have Rat Queens to read, also been sitting on my shelf since release, and Platinum to play and the show to watch. I could watch the second Lego movie checked out from the library or Supernatural which I was so enjoying reimmersing myself in. Theres a new movie on Netflix I've been kinda wanting to watch. Or Good Omens on Amazon Prime.

So why I am feeling so listless and pointless.
