DND Character Illustrations (1/2)

Part one of the party set up for my friend's dnd campaign. This is just a general look to the current party members, we have our backup characters being made just in case one of these guys dies.

The campaign is a mix of Warriors Orochi, Nioh, and Wo Long Dynasty. There are a few other franchises thrown in there but those are little snippets. I’d explain the campaign but I’m still waiting on our DM to send me more info on it since he’s working on the second act of the session.

Kana is actually just an old Samurai Warriors OC I’m using for this campaign because I’m too lazy to create a new one. For this campaign, she’s a free officer originally residing within Toyotomi territory but after a misunderstanding labeling her as a “war criminal” she was placed under the Oda clan's protection for the duration of the party's mission. She starts off this campaign with a single guardian spirit, Raiken. Her element attribute is Thunder, making her in favor of Raijin, lending her his own swords for the mission. She is often being used as a test subject/punching bag by one of her comrades.

Huang Bao, a general of the Shu dynasty, and a man with accidental luck. Before becoming a general, Huang Bao was a retainer for Zhang Fei. During the battle at Hulao Pass, Huang Bao was following in Zhang Fei's lead when Lu Bu intercepted them. Zhang Fei tried to stop him but was thrown back, dropping his halberd. Huang Bao retrieved his weapon, however by this time Lu Bu retreated and Huang Bao was seen by his allies as the one he defeated Lu Bu. Despite trying to tell people he did not defeat Lu Bu, no one believed him and encouraged him to take pride in his win. Now as he joins the party on their quest, Lu Bu wants that rematch but Huang Bao’s too scared to fight him.

Zenji, a lieutenant that isn’t really that great at his job. Not because he’s a horrible man, it’s because he’s a Yokai and the people of the Uesugi clan are all human. They don’t really trust that he can actually do his job so they just give him simple tasks a kid can do. To get him out of the clan, the people sent him after Kana after she accidentally electrocuted an important official of the clan. During the chase in the woods, he was quick to transform into his Yokai form and scare the ever living crap out of Kana. They both crash into a pub on the border of both the Samurai and Dynasty clans. Throughout the campaign he gets dragged into random portals leaving the group behind and popping back up randomly. He has given up on his original mission in hunting Kana down and decided to fuck all and have some fun of his own.
