Captain Kit was the result of undeclared love, a need for adventure, and the fear of being left behind by her best friend.

They all came to a head during Conscription Day.

It had started as an ordinary Tuesday. As was tradition, each citizen aged 18-20 gathered around the Royal Square, got drunk, sang patriotic songs, and signed up for their military service.
