Right, so this might be something you'll find me odd for making a post about:

Do you know how many queer people my age I've met IRL AND online who are allergic to even just saying the word 'misogyny'? I FELT LIKE GOING CRAZY. I felt like *I* was in the wrong. I felt like "oh. Maybe it's true Warframe is a general story about abuse. Maybe gender doesn't really matter. Maybe times *are* changing and people don't have as much need to look to misogynist trends anymore."

NO. NO NO NO NO NO!!! Warframe writers saw the sentence: "Men go to war to protect the women and children." and said: WE HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT THAT. A LOT of things to say about that, actually.

Oh I am so vindicated. My doubt has been washed away. Warframe is thematically coherent and fully realized and The Lotus is specifically canonically a victim of misogynistic abuse spanning over generations and Eleanor loves me for knowing that.
