guess what time it is

its time for a round of disability headcanons (aka flynn making up headcanons to feel better about its own symptoms). yaaaaay (uhmm feel free to dispute about this in comments/asks but be kind about it)

to put some context into this, i've always head canoned that a few of the effects of the curse stuck with everybody

so to start off withhhh (aka part 1)

madame de garderobe (wife 💗💗)

SO

a few times in the film we see garderobe becoming tired – the yawning, the falling asleep – cogsworth also makes the remark "when she can stay awake", meaning she must doze off/get tired quite frequently. therefore i have started to headcanon her to experience symptoms reminiscent of chronic fatigue or narcolepsy. i imagine she could experience symptoms similar to these conditions, such as:

- brain fog (cfs)

- orthostatic intolerance (cfs)

- headaches (cfs)

- extreme fatigue/excessive daytime sleepiness (both)

- cataplexy (causes temporary muscle weakness/lack of muscle control) (n)

- sleep disruption at night (both?)

- post-exertional malaise (cfs)

now this is not to say she has these disorders outright, and this may be a stretch, however; a) i found her excessive sleepiness interesting – no other characters display this, even though a wiki page for her states "As each petal from the Enchanted Rose falls, she finds herself growing more tired as she becomes more and more like a regular wardrobe". if no other enchanted object displays this, it must not be a standard effect that comes from this, and is a unique thing that stood out to me. because of the uniqueness of it, i wanted to explore the possibilities of it

b) ueeuuuuhh um a lot of headcanons stem from little parts about a character don't hurt me 😢😢

c) some of the symptoms are not unfamiliar to me (cfs symptoms, not the narcolepsy ones) and i like seeing characters i can possibly relate to in media
