Re-Read: Autocracy, #1-12
Okay, how to respond to Autocracy… I will admit this is one of those books I had never read before. It’s a lot and I’m finding it quite difficult to decide whether I like it or not.
Ramondelli’s art works quite well here, with some shots being atmospheric, and I’ve always liked how he draws winged characters. The darkness and scale of his art suits the tone of the story, as I think this amps up the edge more than the previous instalments, and we see far more places. I also think this book does a more effective job of establishing the scale of the pre-war conflicts, especially recognising just how much of the population is ‘neutral’. The pace also means that there is always movement, without necessarily being frantic - the 12 issues gave this book more room to breathe.
It’s interesting character-wise for Hot Rod/Rodimus, though I’m going to have to keep an eye on how this is integrated going forward. His approach to leadership earlier on in the book, an opposition to ‘big picture’ idealism of the kinds practiced by Megatron and Optimus, is rather interesting - though that seems to drop off towards the end, as he falls in line with Optimus more. Starscream’s growing irritation with Megatron is a sudden jump from Origin, but also makes quite a lot of sense, as this is a fairly self-indulgent version of Megatron.
Some of the continuity issues were there even for me, though, and that’s with a fairly incomplete knowledge of the continuity. The little thing is Springer knocking about pre-war, but I think Roche’s Sins of the Wreckers backstory came later, so that’s not avoidable. No, the big thing is Starscream being a Senate delegate despite the… events of Megatron: Origin, which is very jarring. I think that could have done with a bit more explaining, also just when Starscream got into politics, as I don’t remember that coming up previously? (I’m starting to realise how little concrete backstory I have even for some relatively major characters…). I can probably find in-story reasons to justify it if I reach hard enough, but it would be difficult and I suspect it was just a miscalculation.
Speaking of characters, this book is a mixed bag. You get a lot of characters, but on the other hand if you were hoping for gradual character arcs happening on page, then this is not the story for you. By the time this book gets going both Megatron and Zeta Prime have gone off the deep end and Orion Pax is most of the way there, too. This is particularly bad for Megatron and Zeta in the sense that it cuts short the time they get to be more grounded characters, which could have been narratively valuable. Rodimus’ characterisation is interesting, but I also went back and forth about whether it’s going to add texture as my re-read goes or, or whether this is a characterisation that was largely dropped by later writers. In a way, it felt like I was reading a character who was already at the end of a character arc that we didn’t get to see.
This comic fell off for me towards the end, especially when the Matrix reappeared. I have very mixed feelings about the Matrix in IDW1, which might become a bit of a theme... The book shifted from the rather edgy tone it had earlier to go more optimistic (?), which I found a bit jarring. The jump from early story Orion Pax to Optimus Prime thinking it’s a good idea to line up all of Megatron’s challengers in a tightly-knit column outside the defended walls of Megatron’s new base, seemingly because of the symbolic value of those panels rather than any in-story decision, was weird, not simply because it makes the Autobots look silly, but also because it’s like I could feel the author’s hand trying to pull me towards a more hopeful version of the narrative.
My feelings are still mixed, but it was certainly interesting. Spotlight: Wheelie comes next, and I think I I remember it being in rhyme?

What is Dipstick's "redundant" alt modw? And if certain characters without mobile alt modes (Rewind, Rung, Soundwave, Blaster, Tripodeca, Amp/Kaon, Forestock/Vos, Mainframe, Diptstick, Ravage, Perceptor, Quark, etc) adopted vehicular or even animalian alt modes, what would they turn into?
Dear Alt-Mode Alarmist,
Dipstick is one of the few Triple Changers whose secondary alternate mode is a similar kind of vehicle as his primary one—in his case, he has the choice of becoming a three-wheeled truck or a four-wheeled car. Some have suggested that having an alt-mode considered “redundant”—the common label for such bots—is to blame for Dipstick’s ornery temperament, but never to his face.
As for the other bots you mention, let me see… Perceptor was also a Triple Changer, turning into either a microscope or a tracked vehicle. Soundwave gained a wheeled form after the end of the great war, adapted into an APC disguise upon his return to Earth. Blaster, at varying points in his life, was a hovercraft or a wheeled vehicle. Amp had a drill-tank mode, long before he became Kaon. Likewise "Forestock" only assumed his gun mode (and name) out of a desire to be useful to Megatron—before then, he was a forklift called Stockade.
The rest never adopted vehicular alt-modes in the specific universe I assume you are referring to. In a branch reality where Quark did not perish, he adopted a scientific exploration vehicle for an alternate mode. One Mainframe survived until the signing of the Pax Cybertronia, assuming a leonine alternate mode and changing his name to "Maneframe". For Rung, Tripodeca, Rewind, and Ravage, not having a vehicle form was very much part of who they were as people, and one must look far afield to find incarnations possessed of mobile alt-modes.

mtmte liveblog issue 36
time travel arccccccccccccc yessssssssss
I have been waiting SO LONG to reread this arc hhhhh yessss
starting off strong with the sexy roller cover. nice
I love the disconnect of ‘orion pax: outlaw’ compared to the last time we saw him in shadowplay where he was orion pax: supercop
he’s still punching people for JUSTICE or whatever so I guess not much has changed
oh my god this is the issue with the many many two-page spreads...the first time I read this issue I didn't realize that was a thing and GOD I was SO fucking confused. there's already a lot going on in this issue/arc but this made things so much worse hvbhjkdfbsk. I powered thru and still managed to understand most of the arc despite reading half this issue out of order (essentially) bc the website I read it on split the pages up and I couldn't tell they were supposed to be doubled (and also I'm dumb so I didn't figure it out)
anyways, the actual issue...windcharger is out here using his powers to rip a dudes arms clean off. wow!
and there's skids getting punched in the face. Ls
and glitch! a totally minor character of course...
MANNNNN I SO adore the panel of all the lost lighters appearing in a cloud of purple smoke, all posing epically....SO fucking good, peak sci-fi coolness vibes, A++
as usual jro killing it w/the titles, ‘elegant chaos’ is such a great name for a time travel arc
also reading the tfwiki has shown me that many of jros titles are song or album titles, to which I say - that's epic and I love it. with jro doing it, I feel like it straddles the line between referencing music and the very fanfic-esque ‘title things after music’ vibe. I love it
oh god I forgot they use bs cybertronian time units in this sometimes lmao...I mean of course they do but still like, what the fuck is a cycle. is that a day. I feel like these words all have no meaning/the meanings change drastically depending on continuity. I cant keep up and also I'm lazy and don't care enough to try
I love rodimus did u know
poor riptide looks so confused lmao
IS....IS REWIND PIGGYBACKING TAILGATE...THATS SO FUCKING CUTE....I cant fully tell bc of the page layout but ooomg so precious. minibot buddies
whirl saying ‘chuff’ just reminded me how british jro is hvbhakjhdsfbs sometimes it just Jumps Out in mtmte and I'm like Oh God Britain Is Real
I really like the mtmte approach to time travel and paradoxes and whatnot. its just complex enough to be interesting but not too convoluted that it bogs down the story. perfect sci-fi fun!
mannnn chromedome talking abt brainstorm :( I'm sad abt those two hhhhh
and I love how at this point, nobody in the cast ACTUALLY knows brainstorm well enough to know what he’s really doing - including chromedome, who’s ostensibly his closest friend, somebody he’s known for a while - and even the readers don't really know what he’s up to...I like the mystery tbh
cant believe rewind wrote orion pax’s biography, omg. completely forgot abt that detail
cd saying ‘I love it when he talks history’ about rewind....hhhh I love cdrw so muuuuch
godddd the line rodimus says abt whirl - how they need people like whirl around who are ‘happy to get in the way’ of danger and death - that shit haunts me man like...rodimus is basically saying that he’s bringing whirl along to potentially die in place of someone like orion pax (nevermind the fact that whirl dying would ALSO fuck up the timeline)...like, how deep does it go?? is he saying that bc he knows whirl has been trying to get himself killed for a while now, or just bc whirl likes violence? mannn I cant...the character intricacies...man
anyways...I love rodimus he’s such an interesting character. you have that fucked up moment and then in the next panel he’s saying ‘if you want to call it a time phone, I wont stop you’ about the quantum walkie-talkie. he has the RANGE
oh and then rodimus casually volunteering chromedome to do mnemosurgery on anyone who might accidentally find out about them time traveling, which is again fucked up on multiple levels. the raaaaange
vjaksbhdhfusajbfdjk that panel of the lost light squad just standing there like idiots reminds me of that post where someone said abt that panel ‘these characters have a collective 3 brain cells’ or something hvbjadkfnksfdl
rodimus IMMEDIATELY breaking his own rules by trying to reassure pax that they're good guys by pointing at his autobot badge, even tho the autobots DONT EVEN EXIST YET at this point...my boy PLEASE go purchase some brain cells from the store
and the fact that rodimus introduced himself to pax w/his real name...shouldn't he go by an alias or st??? that seems like a good time travel rule since optimus and rodimus definitely know each other later
and like, did they not anticipate that some of the people in the past would recognize some of the lost lighters hgbajkhdjfnjksf like cd and whirl get Instantly recognized...great job guys
they are all SO bad at this hvbahskjdhfbasjkf I cantttt luckily for them the orion crew is handing them easy alibis
‘the dugout’ is that a baseball reference????
also I love the scenery here, the bg looks like rock but there's metal piping and stuff running thru it, its so cool...really adds to the whole ‘cybertron biomes are made of metal’ thing
‘ancient history’ rodimus are you KIDDING ME-
cyclonus time travels to the past and IMMEDIATELY finds a window to stare broodingly out of. icon
tailgate thinking orion pax is SUPER COOL continues here from shadowplay and I love it...tailgate is so cute
and the tg saying ‘don't you think that's awesome, cyclonus?’ hhhhh so cute
one reason I love this arc so much is that this is the arc where the gay Really amps up
TRAILBREAKER.... oh man ;_;
are you telling me that this outlaw base they're in has ONE bed for all of these people. what the hell vhbaksjhfnsal
cant believe rung sampled roller’s steroid juice box
also cant believe robot steroids exist. except yes I can and I love it
oooh roller’s a 0/1%er? I forgot abt that
cant believe orion pax just grabs some random phone that belongs to these weird new people and answers it. WHO does that
goddddd megatron and orion’s conversation....destroy me
HHHHHH like...the HISTORY....the regret...the missed opportunities...its all so palpable....goddddddd
and of COURSE, the whole thing is steeped in tragedy...the ideological differences that will become the foundation for a 4 million year long war...megatron, who believes that you need to burn things down and start again to really make change stick, and then orion, who says ‘reform is the answer, not revolution’....AUGHHH the intricacies. mannnn
‘you sound lost’ 😭😭😭
‘its tragic.’ yeah, that about sums up their relationship, especially at this stage and in this continuity
anyways. [cries about old man megatron talking to young naïve orion pax] goodbye
AUGHHH and then we jump to rodimus ONCE AGAIN breaking his own rules and trying to save trailbreaker...IT HURTS MAN...god I love rodimus, I feel like him being broken up about crewmembers like trailbreaker dying is one part regular sadness over people he knows dying for tragic reasons, and one part personal guilt at someone under his command dying, even if he’s not involved/at fault. I love the dichotomy of this emotional reaction that comes only partially from empathy/emotion, but also comes from a kinda self-centered need for success as measured by people under your command staying alive. and taking into account rodimus’s life it totally makes sense that he’d act like that...GAH I love it. the complexity of it all!
orion pax saying ‘you should read [megatron]. it’s powerful stuff’ I'm screaming, so many LAYERSSSSS
I fucking love time travel AHHHHHHHHH like the opportunity for interactions like these....chefs kiss
‘hey, best friend! miss you!’ rodimus is such a shit hvbdajkfksjhfd
‘very sus’ rodimus ahead of his time w/the among us lingo
oooh and then they realize that the senate is trying to kill the sparks...gotta save the babies!
tailgate scolding cyclonus for bluntly stating that you'd wanna be subtle when killing newborns...hhhvbhsdfhhhhhh I love them sm
ooooh and rewind has an interesting suggestion - that the senate is actually trying to irradiate the sparks into being outliers...rewind is so smart I love him
and the fact that he’s using history from his database...love it
rodimus sending cyclonus and whirl out like pokemon
ROLLER NOOOO DONT GO OUT THERE
also wow this is literally the 5th (I think) double page spread in this issue...the confusion I felt the first time I read this...lmao
and now this is literally one of my favorite issues so I'm glad I know what's going on lmao
oh man rodimus telling cd not to erase trailbreakers memory even tho that could jeopardize the entire timeline... :(
oh man I didn't even notice but roller getting debris blasted into his face like that makes the whole ‘roller is tarn’ theory even more legit considering tarn’s face scars....
‘tighter the better’ hhh don't say that orion. but also, that’s the companion phrase to megatron saying ‘the deeper the better’ hvbhasjkhdfbaksjlf
I do love the semi-campy action hero antics that orion pax gets up to. its just so fun, even when the stakes are high and things are serious
‘this is the greatest thing I have ever seen’ tg ily
THE REVEAL THAT THE SPARKS WENT TO NYON...so rodimus just saved himself, basically...time travel is so trippy
GODDDD ND THEN TRAILBREAKER...HVHHHHHh 😭😭😭 THATS SO CRUEL MAN
oh man that last panel of trailbreaker holding up roller’s juice box...iirc the first time I read this I thought that was roller (cause of the juice box I guess? idk I'm an idiot) so I was like oh ok he must've come back or something. very much related but I didn't really think about tarn being a particular pre-established character and totally didn't read the whole ‘roller is tarn’ thing that was going on
which in my defense ruth also didn't pick up on any of that while reading this and eventually like 2 issues before the reveal I had to prompt her like ‘you should maybe be wondering WHO tarn is’ vhbahjksdfbaksjdf
so! issue 37! this issue is a solid favorite of mine, id say definitely top 5 or even 3. I'm super biased bc I fucking LOVE time travel, it’s seriously one of my favorite tropes ever, and this issue hits all the time travel beats I love. characters traveling to the past and interacting with people they know! conversations that have multiple meanings bc of TIME TRAVEL! trying to save someone who meets a terrible fate in your future! fun time travel action! the time traveling characters being generally terrible at hiding the fact that they're time travelers! ITS SO GOOD.
and I love the clever way everything is tied together here - where we get a nice continuation of shadowplay, with this taking place shortly after that with a lot of the same cast, and time travel classics like the good ole ‘if we hadn't travelled back in time and done what we did, the future we came from wouldn't have existed at all,’ in the flavor of ‘rodimus saving his baby self’ and ‘rodimus NOT saving trailbreaker’ and ‘everyone forgot about roller :(’
ok but like, did the lost lighters just go ‘oh well, guess rollers gone now.’ like they DID realize that the outlaw crew would have no idea what happened to him if they got their memories erased, right?? did the lost lighters figure that since roller never reappeared after this time period, that was how history was ‘supposed’ to go and they shouldn't mess with it? am I overthinking it? as usual: yes, probably. I love overthinking about comics, in case that wasn't obvious
basically...I love this issue soooo much. so so good and a bunch of fun tropes that I love. I mean the whole arc is like that for me since I love time travel so much. so I cant wait to (re)read more!!

What’s your favorite (or if you can’t chose, Top Whatever) episode of TFP? What made it stick out of the bunch?
Whoops, I missed a day! And on a fun question, too! Well, let’s break it down by season!
Tumblr media
In season one, my favorite episodes are easily Deus Ex Machina and Speed Metal. These two episodes introduced my favorite characters, and set the standards for their personalities and interactions. However, Scrapheap and Stronger, Faster also rank highly on the list. One set off my love for Rafael Esquivel, and the other is just outright hilarious... and shows that Ratchet might have some feelings about the war that he’s kept to himself quite a bit. I like the twist on his usual character and what it says about what might lie beneath.
Tumblr media
In season two we get the Orion Pax three-parter, which offered some amazing backstory and fleshed out Optimus Prime a lot. The Human Factor amped up the creepy just a bit, and I loathe what they did to Breakdown, but Knock Out’s revenge still manages to secure this one on my favorite’s list. And this season also gives us both Grill and Patch, my two favorite recap episodes ever. I’ve never before seen a recap episode in another series that I would watch just for the fun of it.
Tumblr media
Season three hails with Plus One and, ironically, Minus One... the two really have nothing to do with each other, but I love them both. Plus One has some fantastic human interactions and plenty of my favorite mech, and Minus? Primus! Watch it for yourself! Thirst also ranks high, as I get to see the end fates of my least-favorite character in the series. If I go too much into specifics here we’re going to have a twelve-page essay, though!

[Free eBook] Infomocracy by Malka Older [Award-Nominated Science Fiction Technothriller]
Infomocracy by Malka Older, a finalist for the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer, is the 1st novel in the Centenal Cycle trilogy of political science fiction technothrillers, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Macmillan's Tor Books imprint.
This placed 3rd in the 2017 Locus Awards in the Best First Novel category, and is the featured B&N Free Fridays selection for the weekend, presumably to help promote sales of the 2nd novel, Null States, which is currently discounted to just $2.99 at all North American retailers in anticipation of the release of the 3rd novel later this year and also in recognition of the Centenal Cycle's finalist nomination for the current Hugo Awards in the Best Series category.
The trilogy is set in a post-cyberpunk future world where information technology has radically altered the political landscape from dominant nation-states to global micro-democracy. This story focuses on an upcoming election where the new status quo may be due for its own upheaval, as various political players seek to once again change the game.
Offered in Canada & US (possibly also other countries worldwide), available DRM-free at multiple retailers.
Free for a limited time @ Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Kobo, iTunes, Google Play, eBooks.com, BookShout (online reading & in-app download) (looks like the freebie was available in Canada & US and possibly alsoother countries worldwide when I spot-checked assorted regional stores, YMMV, and some retailers may only provide the freebie in certain countries)
Description It's been twenty years and two election cycles since Information, a powerful search engine monopoly, pioneered the switch from warring nation-states to global micro-democracy. The corporate coalition party Heritage has won the last two elections. With another election on the horizon, the Supermajority is in tight contention, and everything's on the line.
With power comes corruption. For Ken, this is his chance to do right by the idealistic Policy1st party and get a steady job in the big leagues. For Domaine, the election represents another staging ground in his ongoing struggle against the pax democratica. For Mishima, a dangerous Information operative, the whole situation is a puzzle: how do you keep the wheels running on the biggest political experiment of all time, when so many have so much to gain?

Twitch Prime members, get ready to drop the bass in Dub Wars!
Twitch prime offers up the game that PAX founders, Gabe & Tycho, deemed “a national treasure”. If you’re not a Twitch Prime member, you can sign up for a free trial at twitchprime.com.

DubWars is an action-packed arcade shooter that successfully combines music and gaming in a way never seen before. The game has been compared to the likes of Geometry Wars and Rez but the comparisons end once you realize that there is no ‘fire’ button.
Wait, a twin-stick shooter with no fire button? How can that be?
In DubWars, the music becomes your weapon as they fire in sync to the rhythm of the song. The developers teamed up with incredible EDM and Dubstep artists to create unique weapons and power ups that fire to the beat of the music. Bass, up beats, and, of course “The DROP” of each song all factor into each level’s excitement (and difficulty). You’ll need to analyze the risk and reward of taking on enemies, collecting ‘wubs’, or just frantically surviving the song.
10 custom-built levels with amazing visuals and effects!
Discover and support both up-and-coming musicians and your favorite established artists!
Learn about the artists and where you can follow them, as well as download their other music
Progress through three difficulty modes by mastering the music and upgrading your ship
Complete objectives and Steam achievements, collect Trading Cards, and top the leaderboards!
“One game really stood out and quickly provided long hours of play, lots of cheers……and head-bobbing. That game was DubWars. NerdFu
With music, we’ve all experienced the buildup and anticipation waiting for that beat to “DROP”. DubWars amps that feeling up to 11 and, if you can survive long enough to experience the payoff, destroying a powerful enemy with a massive wall of noise is one of the most satisfying twin-stick experiences out there today.
“If ever there was a game for EDM — it is DubWars” 5 Stars — Without the Sarcasm
The game features ten (10) stages that span underwater levels to a “Giant Alien Brain DJ” headlining a concert. Each stage has multiple levels of difficulty which ramp and amp up the challenges to insane levels. The game also allows you to discover and support both up-and-coming musicians and your favorite established artists including:
- Omni — Urban Metaphor
- Dubsective — Synergy
- Spock — Break It Up
- Minecraft Universe — Eclipse
- Celldweller — Tough Guy (Tim Ismag Remix)
- Varien — Metalworks
- Minesweepa — Leviathan
- Totally Sick — Distorted
- Summer School — Choose Your Weapon
- NGHTMRE — MTRD
- James Egbert — Menu Music

Jennifer Gemstar Winters-Darby Pax by
Rowena-BenselThis is really old, I'm surprised I hadn't uploaded it before. This is a doll of an TFP OC I made a couple years back as a personal response to a fic that had potential, but really fell flat where it should have really amped the drama. That fic was about a dragon-girl who was actually Optimus Prime's adopted daughter, sent to Earth for safety during the War, and right where she was "reunited" with Optimus, the author added (unnecessary, imho) drama by making her run away, supposedly get killed by the Decepticons, and then find baby dinobots and started living on her own with them. (I do not mean to flame the author, but it really could have been executed a lot better than it was.) So, I created this girl, who is honestly the most Mary Sue of all my OCs, so I think.
BACKSTORY: The planet Amialda was discovered sometime during the Age of Exploration, and Cybertron established relations with the planet, though not initially friendly. The first Amialds to leave Amialda were kidnapped and sold as pets to various cybertronians, until it was discovered that they were indeed a sentient species and laws were put in place to make owning them forbidden. Amialds themselves are a species of humanoid shapeshifters, each Amiald having the ability to switch between their natural form and an animal form at will (after some initial training as young children). They also have a survival instinct that allows them to take the appearance and physiology of another organic humanoid species or of an organic species with close resemblance to their animal form. They are extremely long lived for organics, the average natural lifespan being 1,500 years, but as such they also age at a much slower rate than other species, roughly 1 human "year"'s worth of physical and mental development in 20 years. The exceptions to that rate are the first two "years" of development, which are compressed into roughly 5 years, or if the Amiald is in a survival mode disguise, in which case they age according to the development of that species. Amialds are divided into different clans, with each clan having the ability to change into a different kind animal, which the clan is named after.
OC Full Name: Jennifer Elle Gemstar EliTa Winters-Darby Pax. Species: Amiald (Survival Mode Disguised as a human) Clan: "Ta", translates as "Dragon" in English, "Predacon" in Cybertronian. Age: 102, mentally 16 (spent 92 as Amiald, 10 as human) Appearance: Pale skin, White hair cut to her chin, Violet eyes, 5'4"  Family: Kitsune EliTa (Mother, deceased), Orion Pax/Optimus Prime (Adopted father), Analise Winters (Adopted mother, deceased), June Darby (Godmother/Guardian), Jack Darby (Honorary brother) Autobot Guardian: Optimus/Arcee, later Smokescreen Friends: Miko Nakadai, Raf Esquivel, Arcee, Smokescreen, Team Prime, Agent Fowler, (later) Predaking, Knockout
Bio: Jennifer was born Gemstar EliTa on Cybertron to her mother Kitsune EliTa, an illegal pet slave to a wealthy Kaonite. When she was 2, she and her mother were being sold in an auction house when Orion Pax found and rescued them. In the groons to follow, Orion and Kitsune grew fond of each other's company, and Gemstar began to see Orion as her "Baba" (the Amiald word for "Father"). When the war broke out, Kitsune and Gemstar were sheltered in the Hall of Records, but an assassin managed to break in and kill Kitsune, while Gemstar only barely escaped. Optimus decided the only way to truly protect her was to send her to Amialda in a stasis pod, where she would be found and revived and live out her life in safety. However, by accident or design, the stasis pod was knocked off course and ended up landing on Earth.    Analise Winters was hiking with her best friend June Darby and her son Jack Darby when they find Gemstar's pod. Gemstar's survival mode kicks in and she turns into a human girl, though in the process her memories of her life before are mostly blocked. Analise decides to raise her as her own, and named her Jennifer Elle based on the little bits they were able to pick up of her trying to say her name phonetically. Jen spends the next eight years very happily, growing up in Jasper while learning to control her shape shifting. Then shortly after her 14th birthday, Analise dies in an accident during a trip out of town, leading to June becoming Jen's guardian.    Two years later, Jack meets the Autobots, and the topic comes up about other aliens being out there, including Amialds. After being told what they are and the fact Optimus had adopted one way back, Jack has a suspicion that Jen might be an Amiald. This is confirmed when Jen tells him a bit of her dreams that her Baba was called Optimus and wore armor of red and blue. Jack takes Jen to base and she and Optimus are reunited at last. The rest of her story would be either a total retelling of TFP with Jen along for the ride, or I might think of some major change her existance might cause which will alter how things go. Some facts for these plotlines: - Smokescreen becomes Jen's Autobot guardian when he arrives, and eventually the two become a couple. - Canon Plot: When AOO1 is under attack from the Decepticons and the 'Bots have to evacuate, Jen refuses to leave Optimus's side and has to be forced into Smokescreen's backseat. As a result, she is with Smokescreen and Optimus during the Darkmount Arc, and the event draws the two of them closer. - Predaking might have a small crush on Jen in her dragon form, though that will disappear over time. Jen does become Predaking's friend, however, and during Cybertron's reconstruction, she helps him with the new Predacons (despite being to much smaller than all of them). - When Jen starts spending time on base, she will change into her Amiald form, which looks like her human form, except her skin is opalescent and scaley (like snake skin), her hair is short and very fine, and often she will have her dragon wings out to stretch.
