------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"They're gonna win this year," he tells you while playing with your hair.
You roll your eyes, "please shut up."
He smirks, staring down at you. "Never."
He leans in to kiss you before you could try and argue with him, leading to yet another round of (unbelievably) good sex with your arch nemesis.
-
You finish buttoning your shirt, opening the door to aim for the kitchen, just because youâre down to go a few more rounds before heading to class doesnât mean you shouldnât stay hydrated.
You peek your head out, searching left and then right.
You slip through the door about to carefully tiptoe into the hallway when a hand on your wrist yanks you back into the doorway.
You stand in front of him, "what?"
He doesnât say anything and stares into your eyes.
You chuckle, unsure of how to act with the way he's staring at you, almost like heâs staring into your soul.
You shiver at the thought and due to the light breeze coming from the windows in his room.
He shakes his head, a chuckle escapes him; he leans in, kissing away your nerves.
You smile into it, cupping his cheeks.
When did kissing someone, youâve despised since high school begin to feel so good?
His hands slide down till they reach under your bare thighs. He raises your left leg over his, keeping it there as he presses himself into you, slowly grinding onto your dampening core.
The clearing of one's throat disturbs the two of you.
You push his head away from you, staring at whoever it was, ready to bite their heads off.
Dale and Jake stand on the couple of steps with the biggest smirks on their faces.
He leans in and starts pampering your neck with slow kisses.
You narrow your eyes at them, knowing if you donât threaten them, theyâll say something to the others, not that anyone on the team would say anything.
"Either of you say anything and it's itching powder mixed with red pepper flakes for the entire season."
Finnegan pulls himself off your neck without looking over at them. "You should listen to her. It's not fun."
"See," you point to him.
He starts sucking on a hickey on the side of your neck, you smile and slam the door shut. "Horndog."
âOnly in the morning.â
âI didnât realize the sun never went down.â
His lips twitch as he pulls away, staring at you again. âShut up, youâre smarter than that.â He gently pushes you back, watching as you flop onto the bed.
âI donât know, I feel like Iâm not that smart with how fast I can unbutton this shirt now.â
He lets out an exaggerated groan that turns into a chuckle at the end. âDo continue.âÂ

Okay hear me outâŚ
Walt Finnegan x ex!reader, who dated the first year of college, but broke up because he was a dick to her.
He sees her at the club or maybe at one of the parties at the house, and realizes that he still loves her.
Flangst with a happy ending maybe? I just want to be his college love interest and would love to live vicariously through this fic đ
Hope youâre having a great day love!
(Just Like) Starting Over | Walt "Finn" Finnegan x Female!reader
Request: Requested by anon
Word Count: 7510
Summary: Reader and Finn met during their Freshman year of college and started dating. Things were going well until they weren't. Some things were said, other things were thrown. Long story short, they broke up. But maybe it was something that was meant to be?
Warnings: Alcohol use, drug use, cursing, angst, fluff, Finn being the handsome devil he is, violence?
A/N: I'm somehow on a roll right now. This was started a while ago and never finished. But @msmoony7 commented how there is very little Finn appreciation on here and I knew I had to finish this. Hope everybody likes it because I also agree that Finn is one of Glen's most underappreciated characters.
Registration Day. It is one of the most frustrating and anxiety-ridden days a college student will ever experience.Â
They always have the same questions. What am I going to major in? Do I want a minor? What classes do I need to take? Can I register for the classes I need before they fill up?
For some, namely the freshmen, the anxiety and stress were through the roof. Which is why they could always use a little guidance. (Y/N) loved registration day since her second semester of freshman year of college. Ever since she joined her sorority and joined some of the other girls in volunteering to assist freshmen with choosing their majors and classes, the good thing about the situation is she can also hand out flyers encouraging freshman girls to rush with her sorority.
She enjoyed handing out flyers and answering any questions the girls might have. However, what she didnât enjoy was cocky freshman boys hitting on her just because she had a beating heart.
âHey, baby! I wouldnât mind having those legs of yours around my neck,â one called out to her as he walked past her and a freshman girl she was talking to.
âYeah, how about my hands instead,â I shouted back at him, crumbling one of the fliers to throw at his head as the girl standing next to me scoffed in disgust.
âWoah, easy dollface,â A voice I knew all too well said from behind me, causing me to slowly turn my glare toward him.
âFinnegan,â I stated simply.
I watched his smirk widen across his stupid mustache-clad face, his hands shoved into his blue jean pockets.
With a bright smile, I looked back at the girl next to me and handed her another flier. âPlease consider rushing with us and bring some friends too. Oh, and a word of adviceâŚâ I trailed off, causing her to nod in acknowledgment. âStay away from the baseball team,â I told her, turning my glare back towards Finn.
The girl looked between us before rushing off to the rest of the registration festivities.
âWell now you just hurt my feelings,â He said sarcastically, placing a hand over his heart and frowning.
âAw,â I said in a mockingly sad tone, placing an exaggerated pout on my face.
Finnâs smirk returned to his face as he continued staring at me, looking me up and down, pausing on my lips and my breasts. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms across my chest.
âWhat do you want, Finn,â I interrogated the baseball player.
âYou look good,â he said simply, a smile growing on his face.
I rolled my eyes and went to step past him, but he only stepped back in my path. âSeriously, what do you want? Because last I recall, I said fuck you, called you a disrespectful misogynistic asshole, and told you to not ever speak to me again.â
âDid you, I don't recall this conversation,â Finn said in confusion.
I scoffed and shook my head in disbelief. âReally? You don't recall me saying that to you and dumping your ass?â
âNo, I don't. Are you sure? When was that,â he asked me curiously.
âFreshman year, right before Christmas, at my sorority's Christmas party that you and your dumb fuck baseball friends almost ruined,â I sneered at him.
âWell, thatâs why. It was freshman year. And I was probably drunk off my ass,â Finn recovered with an excuse, placing a smirk back on his face.
âBecause that makes it better,â I said sarcastically, going to walk around him once again.
Finn grabbed my arm and pulled me back in front of him. âLook, Iâm sorry I was an asshole, but Iâve changed.â
âOh, yeah, trust me Iâve heard, Mr. Feminist. You think the girls on this campus donât talk,â I scoffed at him in disbelief. âAnd Iâll believe youâve changed and youâre sorry when you can tell me why I dumped your ass.â Finn remained silent and stared at me regretfully, causing me to nod at him with despair. âThatâs what I thought,â I said simply before successfully walking past him to my sorority's booth.
Meanwhile, Finnâs friends Dale, Jake, and Plum were all witnessing the exchange between the two from a distance.
âSo, whatâs the story there,â Jake asked Dale curiously.
âWith (Y/N) and Finn,â Dale clarified, causing Jake to nod in confirmation. âTheir situation isâŚcomplicated.â
âWhat the fuck does that mean,â Plum questioned the older baseball player.
âFinn and (Y/N) dated freshman year. Nobody knows a whole lot about what happened between them. They met on Registration Day and dated until around Christmas. They got into a huge fight that ended in (Y/N) dumping Finn. Poor guy never got over her and hasnât been the same since,â Dale explained to the two freshmen, watching as (Y/N) walked away from their friend.
âFuck,â Jake said simply, feeling sorry for the older baseball player who was walking back towards them.
âYou okay, Finn,â Dale asked his friend, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder.
âYeah, Iâm great. Why wouldnât I be,â Finn asked his friends happily, acting as though nothing happened at all.
THE NEXT DAY
I walked into the community area of the sorority house to see some of the girls giggling and jumping around excitedly. I shook my head at their energy and moved up the stairs to my room when one of them spoke up.
âHey, (Y/N). Some of us girls got invited to a house party tonight at one of the houses on 15th and Avenue H. They told us to bring all the girls. You want to come,â Claire asked me excitedly.
âI donât know, guys,â I shrugged.
âCome on, you have to go. Thereâs going to be so many cute guys there, and you hardly go out with us,â Sarah added.
âI-,â I started, shaking my head.
All of the girls began speaking up with various exclamations of âCome onâ and âPleaseâ echoing around me. I sighed and looked between all of the girls in front of me before nodding. They all let out squeals of excitement and began pushing me upstairs so all of us could get ready together.
I looked up at the house in front of me in disgust before looking around at all of the people outside and going inside the house.
âThe school is allowing students to live in this shit hole,â I questioned in disbelief.
âIt could be worse,â Claire pointed out before approaching the front door.
I sighed and followed after her, along with the rest of the girls. I walked in the front door and immediately jumped into Claire when someone came sliding down the stairs on a mattress.
âJesus Christ,â I sighed when I saw a baseball helmet on the male's head, and that the male was Nes.
âWelcome to the baseball house, ladies,â The guy said with a cigarette between his lips.
âYou have got to be fucking kidding me,â I scoffed in disbelief.
He looked over at me and furrowed his brows. âDo I know you? You look familiar?â
âUh, no I donât think-,â I started, only to get interrupted by Claire and Sarah.
âHey, um, can you tell me where to find Roper,â Claire asked the guy curiously.
âAnd McReynolds,â Sarah added quickly.
I rolled my eyes and began to split off from the group of girls, listening to Nes tell the girls where the two baseball players were before looking at the rest of the girls and introducing himself. I made it about 10 more feet before some creep with glasses stopped me and asked me if I wanted to know why they called him Raw Dog. I scrunched my face in disgust and thanked the lord above when I saw Dale walking up to the two of us.
âNiles, leave the girl alone. Trust me when I say that you don't want to fuck with this girl. You'll be dealing with Finnegan if you do,â Dale warned the creep.
âFuck that shit man. He fucks with me, he won't get fucked with back, he'll get fucking killed,â the Niles guy argued.
âUh huh, say that to his face,â Dale told him before wrapping his arm around me and leading me away.
âWell he seems a littleâŚ,â I trailed off unsure.
âYeah,â Dale nodded simply.
âWell, thank you for that, Dale. It was much appreciated,â I said gratefully with a smile.
âIt's no problem. Nothing ever happened between us so there's no reason we can't be friends,â He reassured me, causing me to nod in agreement. âBut I am shocked that you're here of all places consideringâŚâ
I scoffed at him in amusement before nodding. âYeah, trust me, if I knew this was a baseball party I would not have come within 100 feet of this place. Some of my sisters were invited by McReynolds and Roper and talked me into tagging along.â
Dale nodded in understanding before pointing towards the back of the house. âWell, hey, how about we get you a drink so you can start having fun and enjoying yourself? I can introduce you to some of the others.â
âSounds like a plan,â I said in agreement, following him out to the house's backyard.
Dale led me out the back door and towards the drinks before gaining the attention of everybody standing around the beer keg.
âGuys, this isâŚ,â Dale started, only to get interrupted by Coma.
âWell, well, well. If it ainât Miss (Y/N) (Y/L/N),â Coma said with a smile, his southern accent peeking through.
âHey, Coma,â I said with a slight giggle, stepping forward to hug him.
 â(Y/N), these are the freshmen: Plum, Brumley, and Jake. This is another one of the transfers: Willoughby.â
âHi, nice to meet you guys,â I said with a smile, reaching forward to shake their hands.
âSo, how do you know Dale and Coma,â Brumley asked me curiously, causing me to pause and look over at the two guys.
âUmâŚ,â I trailed off. âItâs complicated.â
I watched Plum lean over to his fellow freshman and whisper something to him. I heard him let out a quiet âfuckâ before Plum smacked the back of his head and call him a âfucking idiot.â
âSoâŚ,â I trailed off with a tight smile. âEven the freshmen know. Great,â I said sarcastically looking over at the two upperclassmen.
Dale and Coma looked at each other before Coma stepped closer to me. âHow about a drink, darlinâ.â
I nodded at him and followed him to the punch with Willoughby in tow as I listened to Dale lecture the freshman.
âItâs been a while, (Y/N). Howâve you been,â Coma asked me curiously as he filled my cup for me.
âOh, um, you know just worrying about school. And when Iâm not worrying about school I have something going on with my sorority. Planning parties and fundraisers and such,â I shrugged up at the baseball player, taking a sip of my drink after he handed it to me. âShit, this is good. I might have to recruit you guys for drinks at our next party.â
âIâm sure we can make that happen, darlinâ. Just say the word and the guys and I will give you the best Coon Dog punch youâve ever tasted,â Coma told me, wrapping his arm around me.
I laughed at him in amusement before looking up at Willoughby. âSo, Willoughby, why donât you tell me about yourself.â
âOh, Iâm from California. Coach brought me in to pitch,â He explained to me while pulling a joint out of his pocket.
âOh, thatâs cool,â I told him, watching him bring the joint to his lips and light it.Â
âYeah. Hey, you get high,â He asked me curiously.
I widened my eyes and looked between him and the joint before shaking my head. âOh, no. I did that once with an ex and had a horrible experience.â
âI didnât know that you and Finn-,â Coma started, causing me to cut him off.
âNot Finn.â
Coma nodded at me in understanding before leading me back towards the guys. It was just me standing in a circle with all of the guys, minus Willoughby who decided to go smoke his joint in his room. They all began telling stories: Dale and Coma about what I have missed in the last few years; Plum, Brumley, and Jake about the past few days. I laughed harder than I have since freshman year when I spent time with the baseball team. I was bent over laughing and had my hand resting on Jakeâs arm for support when someone abruptly walked over to our small group.
âJake,â The voice called out with a slightly aggressive tone, causing all of us to jump slightly and turn in the voice's direction. I rolled my eyes at the sight of Finn and sighed as Plum and Brumley made a run for it, Coma and Dale sticking around just in case a fight broke out. âWhat uh- what the fuck is going on over here?â
Being a few drinks deep already, I wrapped my arm around Jakeâs waist and smirked at Finn. âThe guys were just entertaining me with some stories.â
âYeah, we were. And thatâs all that was happening,â Jake reassured Finn, unwrapping my arms from around him and placing them down by my sides.
Jake then made a break for it as well and left me behind with Finn, Coma, and Dale. I rolled my eyes at him and muttered âpussyâ under my breath before looking back at Finn. He stared at me with his arms crossed over his chest, causing me to roll my eyes.
âWhat, Finnegan? Why are you staring at me,â I questioned him in annoyance.
âI donât know. Why are you flirting with my teammates? Trying to make me jealous,â He asked me with a smirk.
âI will answer that as soon as you tell me where the fuck your sleeves went,â I said with a giggle, gesturing to his arms that werenât covered by his flannel.
âWhy? Last I recall you liked my arms,â He said with a smile instead of a smirk at the sound of my giggle.
I rolled my eyes again before looking at him. âI am not nearly drunk enough to deal with your ass,â I told him before walking away to refill my drink.
I was wandering around the bottom floor of the house trying to find somebody I knew when I found the last person I wanted to in the kitchen flirting with a couple of girls. I stood behind him unimpressed as I watched him sprinkle some nuts over some kind of peach dessert he had sitting on the counter.
âItâs not about the ingredients, itâs about the way the ingredients make you feel. The experience,â He trailed off before dipping his finger in the whipped cream bucket. âThatâs why I say, âIndulge in temptation.â
I shook my head at him and looked to my right when I heard Brumley's voice. I looked back over at Brum and snapped my fingers to get his attention. He walked over to me and I pointed him over to Finn with a smirk, causing one to take over his face as well as Finn turned away from the two girls with his finger held out and said he wasnât watching. I struggled to hold in my laugh as Brumley walked over and sucked the whipped cream off of Finnâs finger. Finn immediately turned around and landed a punch on Brumleyâs arm as I let my laughter out.
âAre you serious,â He questioned him aggressively as Brumley released noises of pain.
I held my stomach as my laughter increased. Finn landed another punch to Brumleyâs arm before reaching back for one of his peach desserts and throwing it at the freshman. The two girls standing before him released a couple of laughs as well before walking away from Finn.
âThat was the best shit Iâve seen in a while,â I said through my laughter, causing Finn to look over at me. I watched him roll his eyes and a slight pout came over his face, causing me to make an exaggerated pout back. âAw, did we ruin your rap?â
âYou know what-,â Finn started, but I cut him off.
âWhat,â I asked him with raised eyebrows, moving to stand directly before him. Finn stared down at me, the smooth-talking man for once speechless, keeping his mouth shut. âTell me what I should know Finn,â I whispered to him, looking up at him innocently through my lashes.
âYouâre not playing very fair,â Finn whispered back to me.
âHm,â I hummed, looking over at his desserts. I brought my hand up and swiped my finger in the whipped cream before looking up at Finn. âWho said I was playing,â I asked him sweetly before bringing my finger to my mouth, sucking the whipped cream off as I maintained eye contact with the baseball player.
âYou know, for someone who doesnât want anything to do with me anymore, you sure have no problem with ruining my chances of a hookup,â He whispered to me as he leaned down closer to me.
I released a breathless laugh and took another sip of my liquid courage before speaking. âYou ruin my night, I ruin yours.â
âSo thatâs the game weâre playing,â He asked me with raised brows.
âI didnât realize there was a game,â I shrugged at him.
Finn moved to corner me against the counter, causing me to stare up at him as he placed his hands on both sides of me on the counter, thumbs hooking into the belt loops on the back of my shorts. Finn leaned down towards my ear and released a husky whisper.
âThere was always a game with us,â He said in my ear.
As soon as the words left his lips I scoffed and pushed him away from me, the moment between us now ruined just like when we were dating. âNo, Finn, there was always a game with you.â Finn looked at me in shock at my sudden mood change, causing me to roll my eyes. âI need some air.â
I released a deep breath as I tried to breathe through the rising emotions. The reminder of what happened that night and the resurfacing of memories I have long since pushed away caused me to hide in the corner on the roof so I could be alone. Tears began to form in the corner of my eyes as I worked through what happened.
FRESHMAN YEAR, (Y/S)âS CHRISTMAS PARTY
Claire and Sarah stood outside their fellow sisterâs room as they listened to her fight with her boyfriend of 4 months, wondering if telling her about what her boyfriend's friends were doing downstairs was necessary.
âMaybe we should just handle it ourselves,â Claire offered up.
âWe can, but that doesnât change the fact that once whatever is going on in there is over, (Y/N) is going to need us,â Sarah argued with her.
Meanwhile, in (Y/N) bedroom, she and Finn were having an extremely heated argument that was getting worse by the minute.
âI canât believe you would embarrass me like that, Finn. You know how important this party was for me and that it was important that I looked good in front of the other girls. Then you bring your fucking dumbass teammates with you and fucking flirt with one of my sisters,â (Y/N) shouted at the blonde baseball player, gesturing with her hands toward the bedroom door.
âYouâre overreacting, (Y/N). It wasnât like that,â Finn argued with her, his hands on his hips as he tried to remain calm in the face of her wrath.
âThen what was it, Finn? Tell me what it was that I witnessed downstairs. Tell me the excuse you have for having one of my sorority sisters straddling you and close to having her tongue down your throat,â She yelled at him, throwing her hands around in anger.
âShe came onto me,â He yelled back, pointing from the door then back at himself.
(Y/N) paused, her face contorting from anger to utter disbelief. âOh, donât give me that fucking bullshit, Finn. You're not the victim here. You never are. This is not the first time I have seen you do this to me. Why do you think I refuse to go to Sound Machine anymore? You go there and you hit on other girls and dance with them and you act like I donât even fucking exist or like I'm not supposed to care that my boyfriend is fine with flirting with other girls.â
Finn remained quiet and stared at (Y/N), causing her to continue.
âWhat is it, Finn? What do they have that I donât? What keeps making you run to every other girl but me,â She interrogated.
âWell, for starters they put out,â He snapped, anger blazing in his eyes.
(Y/N) took a step back at the look in his eyes before she narrowed her own at the baseball player and felt the anger she was feeling increase tenfold. âThatâs what this is about? That I wonât let you stick your average-sized dick anywhere you want?â
âNo, it's about the fact that you won't even let me touch you. I lay a single finger on you or make any sort of move to take this to the next level, you pull away,â He yelled at her, throwing his arms around in his exasperation.
âThatâs not true,â she argued with him.
âYes, it is, (Y/N). Donât even bother trying to deny it. I touch your tits and suddenly you have to study for a big exam. I kiss your neck and then you have this book you want to tell me about. You always change directions every time,â He yelled.
âDid you ever think that maybe Iâm not ready for something like that? Or that, I donât know, I donât trust you enough to take that next step in our relationship,â she snapped at him.
Finn went quiet after, staring at (Y/N) before speaking in a sarcastic tone and throwing his hands up in the air. âAnd there it is.â
(Y/N) remained quiet, staring at Finn with tears building up in her eyes, wrapping her arms around herself.
âYouâre scared and you donât want to admit it to yourself so youâre taking it out on me,â He added.
âI am not scared and donât you dare try and turn this around on me,â she yelled at him.
âYes, you are scared, (Y/N). Youâre scared and instead of sitting down with me and talking it through you push me away and get mad at me for looking somewhere else for attention,â He yelled with a shrug.
âNo, I donât, Finn. Okay? I love you, but you never give me any indication that you love me,â She yelled, tears beginning to stream down her face.
âWhat do you want me to do, stand in the middle of the quad and declare my undying love for you,â He shouted, his face turning red in frustration.
âNo,â (Y/N) yelled back.
âThen what do you want from me,â He snapped.
âI want you to say it! You never say it, Finn! And when weâre in public itâs like youâre a completely different person! Youâre not affectionate, you donât hold my hand, you donât hug me or put your arm around me,â She sobbed. âI tell you I love you all the time and you never respond. Do you know how embarrassing that is when I say it in front of your teammates or my sisters and you just give me a âYepâ in response?â
âI do love you,â He shrugged at her.
âThen prove it to me,â She requested.
Finn went silent again and stared at (Y/N) for a moment before shaking his head at her.
âYou know what, I donât have time for this. I donât have time for the constant back and forth, and I donât have time for you,â Finn said with finality, beginning to walk towards the bedroom door.
âFinn, you donât mean that,â She yelled after him.
âYes, (Y/N), I do,â He said, standing by the door.
âFinn, if you walk out that door-,â (Y/N) started, trying to stop him.
âWhat, (Y/N)? What will happen,â He asked sarcastically, turning to look at her.
She stayed silent, tear streaks covering her face, mascara running under her eyes.Â
âExactly. Iâm going to go downstairs, and Iâm going to enjoy the rest of the party with my teammates. Who knows, maybe I still got a chance with that sister you found me with. She seemed like a good time, and seemed like she would do anything I asked her to,â Finn shrugged at her.
All (Y/N) could see was red at his words, tears building up once again at his careless attitude. The only thing she could think to do was grab the first thing she could get her hands on.
âI can go and tell Mel to handle it,â Claire offered again, referencing the rowdy baseball players downstairs.
Sarah opened her mouth to deny her but stopped when she heard her sorority sister yell at her boyfriend and what sounded like something being thrown against the wall. The door opened right after and said guy stepped out into the hallway, their sister's harsh words spilling out of the door behind him.
âFuck you, Finn. Youâre nothing but a selfish, disrespectful, misogynistic asshole. I never want to see or speak to you again. Weâre through, get the fuck out.â
âFine by me, sweetheart,â He yelled back at her.
Finn slammed the door behind him and turned around to see the two girls standing in front of him. He was breathing heavily from the battle he just suffered through in (Y/N)âs bedroom, and the young girl's sobs could be heard through the bedroom door. The two girls both looked to the side awkwardly, avoiding eye contact with him as he looked between the two of them. All he could bring himself to do was take a deep breath and try to fight off the tears that were building up in his own eyes. He released his breath in the form of a sigh before stepping past the two girls and walking down the stairs, gathering his teammates and forcing them out the door of the sorority house.
Meanwhile, back in (Y/N)âs room, said girl was sitting on the floor leaning against her bed sobbing at the loss of her boyfriend. He wasnât her first love, but he was the first guy she loved with all of her heart and soul. She allowed herself to wallow in her sorrows for a moment before standing up and walking over to her vanity. She frantically wiped at her face, taking deep breaths in an attempt to quell her sobs, and looked in the mirror. She continued taking deep breaths before standing from her vanity and walking over to her bedroom door, ready to make the best of the rest of the night and rejoin the party. However, she stopped in her tracks at the door and looked down at the now-broken object she had thrown at Finn. Her tears built up in her eyes once again and she dropped down to her knees when she noticed she threw her picture of the two of them. She gripped the frame in her hands and shakily picked it up from the floor taking in the two smiling faces, her arms wrapped around his arm as he just looked somewhere else, most likely at one of his teammates. Her smile was small, her head resting on his shoulder as she looked up at Finn with adoration. She began to sob again as she carefully took the picture out of the frame, staring down at it as her door opened up. She looked up to see Claire and Sarah staring down at her, the two girls frowning at her in pity as she sobbed harder, dropping the frame and picture on the floor. The two girls stepped into the room and closed the door behind them, being careful of the glass on the floor as they both knelt beside their sister, wrapping their arms around her.
1980, BASEBALL HOUSE PARTY
I took a deep breath in as a few tears slipped from my eyes. Releasing a slow breath as I wiped them from my face. I took a few more deep breaths and stayed huddled up in my corner when I heard other people coming out on the roof with me. I looked around the corner to see Finn and Willoughby climbing out and holding golf clubs in their hand.
âGod damn it,â I sighed in frustration, hitting the back of my head against the side of the house.
I heard footsteps begin making their way towards where I was sitting and leaned my head back against the side of the house. Looking up and to the left at the person next to me.
âFinnegan,â I greeted, bringing my cup up and taking a gulp of my drink.
âWhat are you doing out here, sweetheart,â He asked me with a smirk.
âAvoiding you. But apparently, I canât even come outside to do that,â I said honestly, giving him a sarcastic smile.
Finn scoffed and shook his head at me. âYou couldnât get rid of me even if you tried.â
I rolled my eyes and looked back down at my lap, swirling the liquid inside my cup as entertainment before I drained the rest of it. I carelessly tossed the cup onto the roof before attempting to stand from my seated position, almost falling over in the process and falling off the roof, causing Finn to quickly grab me and support me.
âCareful, (Y/N). We donât need the police called to our house before the school year even starts,â Finn warned me.
âIâm fine,â I slurred out, leaning against him.
âMhm, Iâm sure. Look how about you come over here and sit with Willoughby and me, watch us hit some beer cans off the roof, and Iâll have Coma get you some water,â He offered up, helping me walk over and setting me down on the recliner that somebody brought out on the roof.
âOoh, water sounds good right now,â I moaned out, sitting down in the chair and relaxing.
âI bet it does. Coma, care to get our guest some water,â Finn called out to the baseball player.
âFor (Y/N) Iâll do just about anything,â he told Finn before climbing back inside.
âHey, watch it,â He called after his teammate, causing Coma to roll his eyes.
âYou need to stop being so jealous,â I lectured, frowning up at him.
âWhy is that,â Finn asked me with a smirk.
âBecause you arenât my boyfriend. You havenât been for 2 years now,â I reminded him.
Finnâs smirk faded and was taken over by a frown. âYeah, and theyâve been the worst 2 years of my life.â
My face softened and I looked up at him apologetically. I reached forward and hesitantly placed my hand in his own, squeezing it. Finn looked down at our hands, moving his hand to intertwine with my own.Â
âIâm sorry, I shouldnât have said that,â I apologized.
Finn opened his mouth to reply but was cut off by Coma stepping back out of the window and handing me some water. I gave him a thankful smile and brought the cup to my lips to take a drink.
âThank you, Coma.â
âYouâre welcome, darling,â He told him standing next to me as Finn released my hand and grabbed his golf club from where it was sitting next to my seat.Â
âWatch and be impressed sweetheart,â Finn told me, turning to face Willoughby who was patiently waiting for him while smoking a joint.
âSo, where is the flag,â Willoughby asked Finn, referencing their target.
âRight there, Volkswagen,â Finn told him, pointing out into the yard at the vehicle.
âOh, thereâs the flag,â Willoughby said, handing Coma his and Finnâs cups before grabbing his cup and positioning himself.
Finn followed his lead, the two of them facing each other as they readied their show.
âReady? AimâŚ,â Willoughby trailed off.
âFire,â The two said together, looking at each other before hitting the beer cans.
I watched the cans fly before hitting the flag the two boys were speaking of. I was genuinely impressed and began clapping for the two boys, the two of them joining me as well.
âYouâre a natural,â Finn told Willoughby.
âThank you,â He nodded at Finn.
I watched the two continue hitting beer cans off the roof for about 30 more minutes until they ran out. After this Willoughby made his exit back inside along with Coma and Finn walked over to me.
âAlright, sweetheart, letâs go,â he told me, grabbing both of my hands and pulling me up out of my seat.
âI want more water,â I told him.
âIâll get you more water, donât worry,â He reassured me, helping me climb in before following after me.
He led me down the stairs and into the kitchen, taking my empty cup out of my hand and filling it from the sink. He handed it back to me and I gave him a thankful look before drinking some more. He then wrapped his arm around me and led me outside once again, leading me down the porch steps and setting me down on the last one.
âSit here, sweetheart, and donât move. Iâll be right back. There is about to be some good entertainment and I have to go work some magic beforehand,â He told me with a smirk.
âMeaning you need to go flirt with some girls,â I slurred out, rolling my eyes. âI donât even want to know what you have planned.â
âItâll be good, I promise. And they mean nothing to me compared to you,â He told me before placing a brief kiss on my head and then rushing off.
About 15 minutes later Finn was escorting a couple of girls outside. I watched the two walk by before Finn stopped by me and looked down at me. I looked up at him with a raised eyebrow as he helped me up and led me over to where the two girls were taking off their clothes.
âWhat the fuck is going on here,â I asked in confusion.
âMud wrestling,â He said simply as the other partygoers began gathering around us.Â
Nes, Coma, and Brumley came to stand by Finn and me. I looked across the way to see Jake and Plum standing together and Claire and Sarah sitting with McReynolds and Roper a couple of people over. To my right, I saw Niles and Willoughby pull a couple of chairs up to watch.
âCompetitorâs ready,â Finn asked the two girls. The two nodded at him and he shouted an enthusiastic âGo!â
Everybody, including myself, began cheering the two girls on, watching them wrestle and grapple with each other as they tried to pin each other to the ground. Finn wrapped his arm around me as I jumped up and down, cheering the two on with glee. He smiled over at me and did what I call his âhappy feetâ dance as he let out a whoop. Eventually, the twoâs match ended and the one girl climbed out. However, after she climbed out, Nes thought he would try his hand with the winner and stripped out of his shirt, jumping into the mud with the girl. He stood across from her and chugged his beer before chucking the empty can behind him. Coma and Finn leaned in and let out yells of encouragement at their friend.
âHeâs going to lose,â I yelled to Finn.
âObviously,â Finn yelled back to me before focusing back on the two.
Nes leaned down and grabbed some of the mud, rubbing it across his face and chest like tribal paint.
âCome on baby,â Nes yelled out before rushing at the girl.
The girl easily grabbed him and threw him down on his back, flipping him over. Nes climbed up from the ground and the girl grabbed him and threw him on his back once again. Nes got to his hands and knees and the girl grabbed him and began spanking him before flipping him over, climbing on top of him, and throwing the mud in his face. I winced as some of it got in his mouth before he finally tapped out and the girl climbed off of him.
I couldnât help but laugh in amusement and cheer on the girl before Finn finished off his beer and looked over at me.
âCome on, sweetheart. Letâs get you inside again,â He told me, leading me back inside the house.
I couldnât stop giggling as I stumbled over my feet into Finnâs room. The baseball player let out huffs of amusement as he assisted me into his bed. Helping me to kick my Converse off and slide my jacket off my arms. I watched Finn place my shoes neatly on the floor next to his bed and fold my jacket in half before draping it over his desk chair. He then grabbed the blanket folded at the end of his bed and unfolded it before gently laying it over me.
âNes had his ass completely handed to him by that chick,â I laughed in amusement, shaking my head as I stared at the ceiling and pulled the blanket tighter around me.
âI think he underestimated her,â Finn said with a laugh, moving to sit on the floor next to the bed.
Finn rested his back against the bed and let his head rest back on the side of it as well. I reached down with a scoff and began running my hands through his hair as I spoke.
âSounds about right. You men underestimate us women all the time,â I hummed as Finn pushed his head further into my hand.
âNot all of us men do,â Finn tried to reassure me.
âTrue. Some of you have a good head on your shoulders,â I said in agreement, gripping his hair in my hand and giving a slight tug to make him turn his head towards me. âEven you. As much as I hate to admit it.â
Finn scoffed back at me and shook his head. He reached up to grab my hand from his hair and intertwined my fingers with his instead. âYou're only saying that 'cause youâre drunk.â
âHm, maybe,â I shrugged at him before directing my gaze throughout the space. Finn watched me look around his room a bit before setting my eyes on his bedside table. I breathed in a sharp breath when I saw the picture of him and me (a candid of me kissing his cheek while he laughed taken by one of my sorority sisters) sitting there and staring me in the face. His Christmas present I gave him the night before everything happened. âYou still have it?â
âI couldnât get rid of it,â Finn told me honestly, rubbing his thumb over my hand.
I hummed a laugh to myself. âI couldnât get rid of mine either. Itâs tucked between the pages of my journal from that year. Sometimes I look at it and read over everything I wrote. Try and figure out where it all went wrong.â
Finn let out a scoff and squeezed my hand. âYou know where it all went wrong.â
âExactly,â I whispered, hoping he understood my underlying message of âI wish you did too.â
There was a few seconds of silence before Finn pushed himself off of the floor and moved to sit next to me in his bed. I didnât take my eyes off the picture of us as he started delicately running his fingers through my hair.
âYou know, I lied the other day,â Finn told me softly.
âHm,â I hummed at him in confusion, looking at him with furrowed brows.
âI do remember that night. I remember every word that I said and that I made you cry. I remember it all and I regret everything,â He told me, looking into my eyes.
âWhy did you lie,â I asked him curiously.
Finn looked down and intertwined his other hand in mine. âBecause I hate the person that I was that night, and I never wanted to think about it again. What I did and what I said⌠I promised myself I was never going to be that way again. Thatâs why I changed. Because I promised myself that if I did, and you happened to take me back, then I was going to treat you better than any other guy possibly could and put you up on the pedestal you deserved to be on.â
I sighed and sat up in his bed. I brought my free hand up and placed it on his cheek, moving his head so he would look at me.
âSo you remember why we fought in the first place? And that it was a long time coming,â I asked him, rubbing my thumb over his cheekbone.
Finn nodded at me and sighed. I nodded back at him and wrapped my hand around his neck, lacing my fingers in the hair at the back of his neck. âI was happy with you, Finn. But you werenât happy with me. You wanted someone who would have sex with you anytime you wanted, and I was the exact opposite. And I wanted somebody who respected my decisions and what I wanted, and you were the exact opposite.â
Finn looked at me sadly before speaking. âI was a cocky, horny 18-year-old, who couldnât fathom the thought of someone not wanting to have sex with him. Who didnât want to attempt to understand why the girl he was absolutely in love with didnât want to completely give herself to him. So, instead of attempting to understand and work through it with her and tell her how he truly felt about her, he went and treated her like shit. He hit on other girls and told himself that it was okay because things were likely not going to work out anyways.â
I sighed and ran my fingers through the hair at the back of his head in a soothing manner.
âAnd I was a hopeful, naive 18-year-old who was experiencing love for the first time, despite having relationships before ours. Who was too scared to talk about how she was feeling mistreated out of fear of the guy she loved leaving her and in turn scared to give herself over to him completely.â
âWow, we were fucked up. Werenât we,â Finn said, causing me to laugh and nod at him.
âYeah, we were,â I said in agreement, looking down at my lap. âBut I think us breaking up then was for the best.â
Finn looked up at me with hurt in his eyes.
âNot for the reason youâre thinking. I think that we were meant to break up then, so we could become who we are now. So we would be a better fit for each other when we came back together,â I explained softly.
âBack together,â Finn questioned me eagerly.
âYeah,â I whispered to him, a smile taking over my face.
âOh thank god,â Finn said in relief before cupping my face in his own and placing his lips against my own.
I couldn't help but smile as we continued kissing each other, him smiling as well shortly after. We continued placing our lips against each other, his mustache rubbing against my face just as I remembered it did Freshman year. I wrapped my arms around his neck and leaned back, bringing him over me as we continued kissing. Finn moved to hover over me and I broke away from the kiss, the two of us leaning our foreheads against each other. Finn began peppering kisses across my face and neck, his grin growing at my giggling.
âWhat are you doing,â I asked him through my giggles.
âI have almost 3 whole years to make up for not being able to kiss you,â Finn told me, continuing his assault.
âWell, can you continue you tomorrow? Iâm tired,â I asked him in amusement.
Finn pulled away and looked up at me with a pout. âFine.â
Finn moved and lay on his side next to me. I rolled my eyes at his childish antics and turned on my side so my back was facing him. Finn threw his arm over my waist and pulled me closer to him, nuzzling his face in my neck and taking a deep breath.
âGood night, (Y/N),â He whispered to me.
âGood night, Walt,â I whispered back to him, feeling his grin widen as the two of us drifted off to sleep.

i need jake to hold me when i canât sleep :( like when you feel physically ill from exhaustion and he wonât sleep until he hears you sleeping. so big, so warm, so comforting. oh god i LOVE HIM đ (same goes for finn)
((also i love you so so so much đđđđĽş))
Ugh Seb I need the same !!! 𼺠Jake would hold you close and wrap you up in his strong arms, one wrapped around your middle while his other hand plays with your hair and gently massages your scalp, his warm chest pressed to your back as he whispers sweet nothings into your ear. Heâll talk about his day, the silly prank Fanboy played on Payback at work, a new show he thinks the two of you should watch, everything and nothing until he finally feels your breathing even out, your body fully relaxed in his hold and letting him know that youâve drifted off to sleep 𼚠and I know Finn would do just the same, talking your ear off in a soothing, quiet tone about some random, obscure topic that you know nothing about because he knows itâll put you right to sleep đĽšđĽš ugh I need them both so bad !!!
I love you too, so so so so much my dear! đĽšđŤśđźSending you the biggest hug and forehead kiss, and wishing you a good nightâs sleep!! 𼺠Mwah ily! đđĽ°đâ¤ď¸đâ¤ď¸đ

Okay, but what if the Glen Cinematic Universe boys say their safe word to their s/o? How do they feel about it do you think? What would they appreciate afterwards?
oh wonderfully soft question my dear anon 𼚠i hope you enjoy the below! đ
Jake âHangmanâ Seresin.
Due to you and Jake engaging in a sub/dom dynamic, he knows he can confidently use his safe word. Youâve both discussed it at length and you trust each other a whole deal. Afterwards, all Jake wants is skin on skin contact. Weather thatâs you on his chest, or he on your chest suckling at your nipples, he appreciates the comfort of skin on skin.
Walt âFinnâ Finnegan.
Finn is very similar to Jake, heâs entirely confident in his own sexuality and using his safe word. Afterwards, Finn becomes the polar opposite to the talkative and fiery personality that you know. Heâs quiet and worn out, therefore he appreciates you taking control and looking after him. He loves to listen to you read, play with his hair and have a long soak in the bath with you.
Charlie Young.
Oh sweet boy Charlie 𼚠Heâs shy to use it and he feels a little guilty after, but youâre there to console and reassure him that he did the right thing. He doesnât always know what he needs after. Heâs still new to this dynamic and sometimes you need to coax it out of him with what he wants. You list off a number of things and nine times out of ten, it ends with cuddles on the sofa, pizza resting on your belly and feeding it to him.
Mark Reynolds.
Thereâs definitely a stigma with safe words and that kind of sex, but you encourage Mark to use it. The first time he uses it, he feels hesitant and heâs asking you, âis this ok? Is this right?â And of course you reassure him that he did the right thing, similar to Charlie. Mark appreciates a strong drink after to soothe his nerves and cuddling you tight for the rest of the night.

Just Another Thing â [1]
Walt 'Finn' Finnegan x Reader/OC
Summary: God help anyone who might've thought a nice, stable relationship might bring some kind of change to Walt Finnegan's usual mischief and mild-hedonism. God especially help them if they also thought a girlfriend would provide any sort of calming influence over him.
She definitely influenced him, anyone could tell you that, unfortunately just never in any way that could even remotely be described as 'calm'.
Warnings: cussing, mentions of and talk of sex, sexy body parts, ect. reader/OC is named Kimberly/Kimber, but it is still written in second person and her name shouldn't come up very often.
Notes: oh boy oh boy oh boy you have no clue how excited i am for this fic. it's literally been in the works for over a year. i'd even go as far as to say it's my fave fic in recent memory!!! Im not sure yet how many parts, but the story does have a beginning and end.
It's not necessary to have watched the film before reading this fic, as this is set in the year after, around 1982, however certain character dynamics could be confusing. Also i definitely headcanon Finn and Beverly becoming good friends, hidden beneath a layer of exasperation of course but he is definitely the type to go to all the theatre stuff like come on look at him!!!!!
okay enough from me now heres the fic I really hope you enjoy!!!
You register the alarm on your friendsâ faceâs far too late to do anything, and the next thing you know youâre clutching the crown of your head, a dull throbbing ache now pulsing under your fingertips.
It wasnât an entirely unfamiliar sensation, youâve been hit in the head by a ball plenty of times, but the sheer weight behind this particular impact stood out to you. That, and you knew it couldnât have been the volleyball you and your friendâs were playing with, because you currently held it.
âWhat the fuââ you begin angrily, already whipping around in the direction youâd been hit, cutting yourself off at the sight of an approaching man, a look of genuine remorse painted on his features as he jogs toward you. Behind him, a group of guys with baseball gloves watch on with various cringing expressions. Just as the man nears you, his eyes subtly travel up and down your figure, his lip quirking with approval, but he keeps his face apologetic. He comes to a stop several feet away, where the baseball had landed, but doesnât take his eyes off of you, placing his hands on his hips and lifting his chin at you.
âSorry âbout that,â he says, and it at least sounds sincere. âRoperâs never had much of an eye.â
You purse your lips, but try not to look too angry. He was cute, you realise dumbly, still rubbing your head. Dirty blond hair settled in light waves at the top of his collar, a matching blond moustache groomed neatly above his upper lip. He was tall, broad across the shoulders and chest in a way youâd only ever really seen on guys who worked out, athletes and the like. He also looked a little older than a lot of the students youâd see walking around campus, and he certainly didnât approach you with the confidence of a freshman, so you figure he must be at least an upperclassmen.
âWell, maybe y'all should work on that with him,â you grumble lightly, and drop your hand.
âYou okay?â he nods at your head, and you shift to lean on one foot, not missing the flicker of his eyes to watch as you do, or the way he lingers on your rapidly rising and falling chest before he meets your eye again.
âIsnât the first time, certainly wonât be the last. Hair probably wonât sit right tonight, though,â you complain.
âBig date?â he asks, the teasing tone unmistakable. You lift your chin a little indignantly.
âIâm sure your day is just riding on my answer, but I donât feel particularly inclined on telling you that,â you huff, heart rate doubling when he laughs, looking away from you for the first time as he grins widely.
âWell, how about this,â he starts once heâs sobered, bending down to swipe the baseball from the grass, taking a step toward you as he does. âThe next time I see you, I promise you wonât get hit in the head,â he waves the ball as if you need reminding, but takes another step closer. âAnd you tell me what night works best to take you out?â
You fail to hide the amused smile that pulls at your lips, but then again, you werenât really one for playing hard to get. You can see now that heâs only a few feet away, that his eyes are a startling green, and you think you wouldnât mind running into him again, sans head injury.
âAlright,â you tell him, stepping back with a nod. âNext time.â
It takes all of your will power to turn away from him and move back towards your friends, though you feel his eyes on you for some distance, and make sure you swing your hips just a little more than you usually might.
Part of you regrets not making plans then and there, but the other part of you shivers at the already building tension of your potential next meeting.
Squinting at your reflection in the mirror, you flip your feathery waves once more over your shoulder, before almost immediately letting it fall back where it was. Just as youâd predicted, thanks to the decent-sized lump on the crown of your head, your Jerry Hall blowout was looking less supermodel and more super-odd.
Scrunching your nose as you mess with your tresses one last time, let out a huff, and force yourself to turn away, just in time for Nancy to appear at your open door, her curled fingers tapping gently on the wood.
âHey Kimber,â she begins, pausing to give you a whistle as you exit your bathroom and do a twirl for her. Your collared halter-neck jumpsuit was supposed to be worn with a ruffle-neck blouse, but youâd never intended to style it that way, not to mention it was tight enough that youâre not totally sure youâd even be able to fit said blouse beneath it anyway.
âSomethingâs telling me Miss Texas â56 didnât have this particular ensemble in mind when she ordered this for you outta her fancy lilâ Saks catalogueâŚâ Nancy teases. You roll your eyes.
âSaks donât do catalogues.â you correct her with a faux air of haughtiness, but donât bother to contend her point. All of your housemates were more than familiar with your former Beauty Queen mother, despite never having met her. The monthly âcare packagesâ she sent you, filled with various âin seasonâ (see: frivolous) items of clothing and âessentialsâ spoke volumes about who exactly Mrs Charlene Wynne was. That mostly just amounting to âeternally neurotic but well-meaningâ.Â
Nancy pokes her tongue out at you and scoffs out a laugh.
âWhatever, the point is; Mama doesn't always know best. You look foxy!â
You let out a laugh and smooth your hands over your thighs, thanking her softly.
You werenât at all oblivious to the way you looked. Certainly you were no Raquel Welch, but most days you could manage something in the realm of Christie Brinkley or Cheryl Ladd, which was pretty damn good. You had your mother to thank for that, though your dad was no slouch either, but considering your mother couldnât walk ten steps without someone recognising her from her Miss Texas win almost thirty years ago, youâll give her most of the credit. As a result of your parentâs contributions, youâd become aware fairly quickly of the effect you tended to have on men, especially College men.
âDid you need me for something?â you prompt after a few more moments of Nancy preening over your outfit, remembering that she had come up here with a purpose some minutes ago now. Nancy blinks, before she makes a soft gasping sound, and straightens up.
âThatâs right! Beverley arrived a little while ago, she was asking for you!â she informs you, waving her hand in the vague direction of the stairs and the party quickly coming to life on the first floor.
âIâm coming now!â you tell her, giving your hair one last flip before you move for your door, closing it behind you and quickly following Nancy as she all but skips.Â
The âlittleâ get together had officially started a little while ago, but youâd had a study group that had run long, meaning you were now fashionably late to your own houseparty, if there were even such a thing.
Almost immediately once you crest the lower steps, you feel yourself shift into focus, totally in your element now, a cool, easy smile finding a place on your features. It isnât difficult for you to move through the light throngs of people, despite your arrival not going unnoticed by those around you, but instead of excusing yourself meekly past distracted conversationalists, youâre liked enough that partygoers both consciously and subconsciously make way for you, plenty of familiar faces greeting you warmly in passing as you go.
You aren't surprised to find the kitchen milling with guests too, though the music is a little quieter here, so you figure it will remain more sparsely populated until later in the night, when everyone is comfortably tipsy.
âKimberley!â A female voice calls out, perhaps a little too loudly, but youâd come to expect as much from anyone deeply involved in theatre.
âBeverly!â you match her energy, volume and all, knowing that she was likely already feeling a little out of place among the other guests, who were all mostly part of the Collegeâs various sports teams and who you suspect werenât even aware there even was a theatre program.
You canât stop yourself from grinning ecstatically, overjoyed to see your friend for the first time since classes had commenced for the year. However, you feel more than you see the redhead that collides with you, her much shorter frame crashing into yours with a comforting force, and thanks to your non incosiderable height, as well as your many years playing volleyball, you hardly even budge from the impact, even in your chunky platform heels. You quickly hug Beverley in return, but far sooner than youâd like, sheâs pulling back and launching into what sounds like a planned monologue.
âOkay! So, you know how ages ago I said I was going to set you up with one of Jakeâs housemates from the baseball house?â Beverly starts, already waving her hands expressively, her expression bright and excited. You search your mind, but honestly, you arenât sure if the conversation sounds familiar or not. Youâd had a lot of people say similar things to you throughout your college career so far. Most of the time they were totally off-base matches, but you were always happy to experience new things, new people.
Beverley doesnât wait for your reply though, clapping her hands and rubbing them together.
âWell, of course the team was invited tonight, meaning I can finally introduce you!â she exclaims, looking wildly over her shoulder, as though the person in question was supposed to be just behind her. When she sees an empty kitchen, she frowns and purses her lips. The glimmer of annoyance is wiped from her face by the time sheâs looking back at you, and she huffs good-naturedly.
âI told him to wait for meâŚâ she links your arms as she speaks, and you happily let her lead you to the kitchen door, where a light bubble of conversation floats through from outside. You have to let out a laugh at her sheer excitement, which appears genuine, though not in her usual manner.Â
The usual manner meaning that every so often when the two of you found yourselves at the same club or bar, whenever she or her friendâs were being bothered, the pretty redhead would giddily inform you that she had someone she wanted you to meet, then standing back and watching gleefully as you casually sapped up the creepâs attention, only to bluntly shoot him down and send him off.Â
You donât get the feeling this is one of those times, but from what you knew of the baseball team, you very well may have to do some shooing on your own behalf tonight.
Outside on the tiny back-deck, a small group of people had gathered and right away your brain sparks with familiarity, though you have very little time to consider this before Beverley is releasing your arm and stepping forward. She smiles brightly as she sweeps between you and a man who turns around as if on cue.
âFinn, this is Kimberley Wynn! Kimberley, this is Finn! I am almost certain that the two of you will get along famously,â Beverely announces with a flourish and a wink. You and Finn both blink startled at one another for several moments, before mutual recognition quickly sets in. Your lips slowly pull into a wide grin, and you donât bother hiding the fact that youâre now looking him over with no subtly, just as heâd done to you earlier in the park.Â
âIâm not about to get clobbered again, am I?â you begin flirtily, glad that the man, Finn, recognises you as well, though unlike you, he seems to avoid taking the opportunity to check you out again, to his loss. Instead, he smiles big, almost showmanly, and takes up a slight lean on the railing behind him.
âIf itâs any consolation, your hair looks great,â Finn replies cooly, and itâs almost as though youâd never parted ways at all. You flick your hair over your shoulder, seeing how his eyes follow the movement before theyâre locked back on yours and you already know youâve got this man hook, line and sinker.
âLuckily for you,â you sniff, though your smile undercuts any real resentment. Finn seems to grin a little wider then, more genuinely than the showman smile. You think the way his eyes crinkle in the corners is sweet, and that he should smile that way all the time.
âWait, you two already know each other?!â Beverley cuts in, suddenly reminding you that she was in fact still standing there, watching and listening. âHow?!â the redhead demands, not going so far as to stomp a foot, but she does cross her arms in a huff as she looks between the two of you in betrayed disbelief, though you note most of her ire seems directed at Finn.
The blonde swings his gaze back to the shorter woman, seemingly tickled by her apparent annoyance, yet his teasing expression is full to the brim with endeared fondness. You get the impression that this was the natural state of their friendship, and that Finn is about to say something inflammatory just to get a bigger rise, which might be a little funny, but you cut in before he can speak, relieving Beverly of her confusion.
âAll Star over here threw a baseball at my head this afternoon,â you say pointedly, making sure he doesnât mistake your happiness to see him for forgiveness. Finn holds his hands up then, and jerks a thumb in the direction of a man in the larger group of party goers on the porch.
âRoper threw a baseball at your head this afternoon,â he corrects you, as though that should absolve you of your attitude.
âOh, thatâs right! You just failed to catch it!â you tease, watching as he winces dramatically and grasps at his chest.
âYou wound me sweetheart!â he exclaims ruefully, and despite the vaguely amicable antagonism, you can see now why he and Beverly are friends.
âThen weâre even.â You say. You already agree with the redheadâs earlier assessment; the two of you were going to get along famously.
Finn shrugs in a manner that reads more as relenting than indifference, and at least some of his overly performative act comes away. Beverley scoffs a laugh, rolling her eyes heavily as she reaches out to shove Finn in the arm. He sways, you think for her benefit, which makes you smile.
âOnly you could throw a baseball that hits the one girl on campus whoâd actually put up with youâŚâ she snorts, seemingly assuming his chances with you were now dashed. Finn raises a finger in protest.
âAs we just discussed, I only failed to catch the ball that hit the one girl on campus who may or may not be willing to put up with me. Iâd like that to go on record.â He smiles at her simperingly. Beverley regards him with a withering look for several seconds, before choosing to ignore him entirely, turning to you.
âHave fun.â she says, sounding much more like her usual manner, though before you can tell her itâs alright, sheâs already spun away, and when you find her again, sheâs tucking herself under the arm of her boyfriend, Jake.
You shake your head, and look back at Finn, finding his gaze already locked on you. He pushes away from the railing then, and steps toward you.
âYou know what this is?â he asks you, once more sounding like an actor reading lines, and gesturing between you. âFate.â he says, lowering his voice somewhat like it was a secret just for the two of you.
You cock your head at his odd little act, though you arenât entirely un-charmed by it. It was rather different to when youâd met this afternoon, despite his blatant flirting then, now it was as if you were speaking with a completely different person. A stage magician, perhaps.
âSo, why donât we go get a drink in your hand, and then you can tell me which day works for our upcoming date.â Finn gives a slight flourish, and while his whole demeanour is still clearly put on, there is an endearing element to his theatrics, a silliness that you might find more charming if it didnât feel so much like he was performing for you.
He offers you his arm graciously, which you can imagine combined with his hyped up charm, would have plenty of women already giggling into their sleeves, which you donât do, but you do place your other hand over his warm skin as well, and allow him to lead you back into the kitchen.
âSo whatâll it be? Beer? Fruity punch? Fruity punch and beer?â he wiggles his eyebrows at you, and even though heâs still playing a role of some kind, itâs not hard for you to see through it.
âFruity punch,â you say decisively. âCanât stand the taste of beer.â You tell him honestly, watching as he goes about procuring you a glass of the punch you yourself had made, and appreciating the effort he puts in to make sure you have at least two cherries, though, you donât think he means it to be suggestive, despite your own thoughts going straight to the gutter over the matter.
âSo, what youâre saying is; I should switch to the punch if I want to test this theory about you being the one girl on campus whoâll put up with me later?â he asks in amusement, at last handing you your drink, his eyes sparkling. You accept the drink and give a noncommittal shrug as you take a small sip.Â
âOh, thatâs not necessary, but Iâll certainly appreciate it later.â You really feel no need to go along with his act, not seeing any reason to play coy about your intentions, not in the way he seemed to feel was par for the course at least. You watch as Finn takes a moment to actually process your words, a brief mix of surprise and curiosity passing over his features, but itâs quickly covered up by a much more âcoolâ looking mask.
You have to crack a smile at his sheer determination to convince you to have sex with him, the poor man somehow didnât realise he was preaching to the choir.
âYou really do look fantastic, by the way,â Finn says after a few moments of awkward quiet pass. You push aside your amusement, and grin happily at him, smoothing your hand over the material fondly.
âThanks! I feel like one of âCharlieâs Angelsâ,â you gush a little, briefly feeling silly for bringing up the comparison, however, this time Finnâs smile makes the corners of his eyes crinkle in that way you liked, making his whole face seem softer and more natural, pouring with warmth.
âTrust me, Farrahâs got nothing on you right now,â he tells you sweetly, continuing to fondly watch you preen, not just at the compliment, but because you think this might be the first time all evening he isnât speaking from some kind of script.
The moment passes quickly, though, and as you duck your head to accept his praise, you see his face momentarily scrunching up in a wince, like he was scolding himself for saying something so saccharine. You consider telling him that you found the sweetness endlessly more endearing than any of the other lines so far, but you hold your tongue. You had a small feeling that his pretence was really more about him, than about you, at least to a degree.
Finn is about halfway through earnestly telling you about his apparently âaverageâ sized cock when you at last run out of patience. The gimmick itself was entertaining enough, definitely an original approach to picking up women, and youâd even played along to start with, but you canât help wondering why youâre standing around talking about his cock when you could be doing other things with it instead.
While heâs still talking, you reach into your pocket and dig around for a moment, before you find what youâre after. Finn trails off when you turn and lay the coin face-side up on his forearm. He blinks at it in confusion, for a few seconds, before looking questioningly up at you.
âPenny for your thoughts?â you ask before he can speak again, and force yourself not to pump your fist triumphantly when his confusion is quickly replaced with affection. Sure, you knew he wanted to have sex with you already, but now he thought you were cute, too.
âAlright,â he answers simply, fully angling his body toward yours, leaning in closer to you at the same time.
âSo, this whole âaverage sized cockâ thing, does it actually work? I mean, has it worked when youâve used it before?â you tip your head up at him, genuinely curious, but you donât miss the way Finnâs features fall blank for a second after you speak, his smile fading, replaced with mild discomfort. He seems to shift back from you slightly, regarding you once more before he replies.
âI guess this is the time it doesnât.â He all but mutters, his frown deepening as he looks away from you again, clearing his throat this time and straightening up, obviously embarrassed. He crosses his arms over his chest and looks back at you evenly.
âCouldâve stopped me earlier,â he says a little stiffly, though seemingly coming to terms with whatever direction he now thought this conversation was taking. You canât help yourself then, his sulking making you laugh, fully and joyfully, but before he can sulk further, you lay your hand gently on his arm, over the penny, and give him a light squeeze. You shake your head as your laughter dies down, and fix him with a warm expression
âI never said it wasnât workingâ in a manner of speaking,â You softly tell him, watching as he blinks down at you. You hurry to explain. âI mean donât get me wrong, it wasnât working, but only because itâs totally unbelievable.â
Finn at last relaxes somewhat, though his slight frown remains as he considers your complaint.
âWhatâs so unbelievable about it?â he demands, in a way that tells you this pick-up tactic was one he was proud of, though clear playfulness had returned to his voice.
Confident that you were now talking, actually talking to Finn as he was, and not as he thought would get him laid, you feel energised to engage with the subject matter more seriously. You scoff and roll your eyes at his indignation.
âFirstly,â you start, shifting to lean on your hip, bringing you closer once again. âNo guy is ever going to accept, let alone admit that he has an average sized-cock, and heâs definitely not going to admit it to a woman he wants to fuck.â You say matter-of-factly, though you didnât have anything more than your not-insubstantial intimate experiences with men to go off of as proof.
âGuys who really are average, donât think that they are, and they probably never will because no woman is going to bring up the fact that his seven inch cock looks suspiciously closer to five.â you wave your hands a little, not realising before now that you really had any firm opinions on this subject.
You see the cogs in Finnâs brain turning as he regards your words with something that resembles amused but genuine interest. You figure he hadnât expected you to really have a point, which to be fair, you hadnât expected either. You do plan to let him respond, but you suddenly remember something else youâd been thinking about earlier, when heâd first brought up the concept.
ââAnd! In my experience, guys who do have big cocks, they donât really say anything, or they mislead you entirely, so that they can get off on hearing you telling him how big he is.â
That earns a hearty laugh from Finn, who shrugs a shoulder in admittance at that point at the very least. Heâd returned at last to watching you fondly, and you think once more that Beverley had been spot on in introducing the two of you. Youâre pretty sure Finn is the only man who would so happily, or nonchalantly debate with you about the size of other menâs cocks, just as youâre sure that youâre the only woman on campus who has ever challenged him on it.
Finn hums in thought. âSo, you believe men will only ever overcompensate or undercompensate?â he asks, but it's more of a statement. He watches you intently as he tips his chin, and you nod.
âExactly.â
A moment passes between the two of you, before Finn leans forward, right into your space, wearing a pleased smirk.
âIn that case honey,â he starts, voice sounding a little deeper now, huskier somehow. âWhatâs the verdict then?â he stares at you unwaveringly, challenging you. You frown.
âThe verdict on what?â you ask, though at this point you couldnât muster much genuine interest, not when all this verbal foreplay was slowing down the process of getting him in your bedroom for some actual foreplay.
Finnâs smirk grows then, seemingly glad youâd asked. You watch as his eyes dip briefly down to your chest, where his height and closeness grant him a very good view of your tits. He meets your gaze again before he speaks.
âDo you think Iâm overcompensating, or undercompensating?â
You blink and stare at him as you process, not even bothering to hide your captivation, but it lasts for mere seconds before your lips are curling into a coy smile to match his own. You copy his move then, dropping your eyes to take in the front of his jeans, but you donât look back up again as he had. Instead, you reach out and begin tracing his belt buckle. Finn inhales sharply, clearly taken off guard by your forwardness, which was clearly working for him.
Youâre momentarily distracted from his belt as you catch sight of the rather sizable bulge forming at the front of his pants, giving you a pretty good idea of what the verdict should be. You lick your lips without really thinking, but take full advantage of the way Finnâs eyes follow the movement, tracing the path over your now wet mouth as he awaits your answer. You lean in, closing the miniscule distance between you at last, and give his belt a teasing little tug toward you.
âYâknow, I havenât a clue,â you lie nonchalantly, your smile only growing when you use his belt to pull yourself in and press right up against his front. âBut Iâd love to find out.â

You Know The Rules
look at that stupid slutty mustache... god please answer my prayers just this once
Pairing: Finnegan(Everybody Wants Some!!) x Fem!Reader
Summary: God you hate him.
Word Count: 2K
Rating: M - mainly for drugs babayyyyy, weed, that good, otherwise it's pretty clean in these sheets(this time around)
A/N: haha. no one asked for this. but listen! all my glen powell sloots we need to remember the original. sweet daddy finnegan. mustached, shaggy haired, 80s baseball player i mean i couldn't have written a sluttier man if i tried. this movie isn't the greatest, but the music is dope, the outfits are cute, and it serves as a public service announcement that men need to start wearing crop tops IMMEDIATELY. this is a petition for men to start dressing like sluts again so i can finally be at peace. anyways this is completely and utterly self serving but the glen powell top gun resurgence just kept reminding me that this is peak glen to me. give me mustaches or give me death!
sorry that i haven't written... or literally done anything of value in an eon. my brain has given up and also i moved and am currently unemployed and am about to go travel for three months and want to write but have zero inspiration and tumblr makes me sad because everyone is so good at writing and i am a troll under a bridge. this is me trying to release the need to produce things of "value" because does that even mean anymore? i hope someone finds this a little fun because honestly i kinda did :) hugs and kisses <;33333
tell me what you think! i'm literally begging! on my hands and knees! the desperation is palpable yeesh
masterlist yay yay!!!
~~~~~
College.
What a fucking heinous place. Filled with suffocating expectations, the constant need to pretend youâre someone youâre not because of everyone elseâs supposed opinions of you.Â
It made you want to vomit.Â
And yet here you were, cowering in the corner of the kitchen at this stupid, lame, awful college party. A baseball party no less. Those absolute heathens. Probably the worst category of men on this campus by about 20 miles and you were definitely counting.Â
The joint you haphazardly rolled in the absolutely disgusting bathroom crackles between your lips as you try to tune out every single person here and catch the steady baseline of the song playing hoping that that will somehow lull you into a state of calm.
This new weed sucked shit. All stems, all seeds, and got you high for about 30 seconds. You were going to kill Willoughby when you saw him. Honestly the only baseball player in this house you liked and even he was about to get moved right onto the shit list with the rest of the men of this house.Â
Your friends had badgered you endlessly all week to ask Willoughby for the invite, not that you really need to even ask him. Girls? More than one? The baseball boys were already salivating like it was their last meal on death row.
The standards in this place were in the fucking basement.Â
Some would call you a pessimist. Angry, bitchy, snippy, negative, the whole gambit and they might be right. But college was a fucking weird ass place that made your skin crawl and your anxiety spike and all you wanted to do was smoke your green, pass your classes, and watch your cartoons in peace, please and thank you.Â
And then his voice cut through your slow building haze like a serrated knife on a chalkboard. Made of sandpaper.
âSweetheart! I thought Willoughby mentioned youâd be here, and why am I not surprised youâre toking it up alone in our kitchen, my favorite little stoner weirdo.â
Finnegan.
The absolute ultimate fuck.Â
Mustached, wide shoulders, shaggy blonde, crisp baby blues, he was everything your vagina yearned for until he opened his stupid mouth. And of course that was just as pretty as the rest of him too.Â
Youâd met him for the first time freshman year. Fresh faced and thinking the world was truly your oyster, heâd popped into your life in intro to philosophy and swept you away with his silky, fancy words and the fact that he looked like that.Â
Heâd invited you to the first baseball party youâd ever gone to and made you a special promise that he would be your knight in shining armor for the night. That heâd be waiting for your arrival, was counting down the minutes till you showed up at his door and he could dance the night away with you.
That was until you saw him sucking face with Tracy. Who was also in your intro to philosophy class.Â
Obviously, youâd hated him to his core ever since.Â
But for some reason heâd stuck around. Always kept tabs on you, always had a class with you, always found you at any party, bar, disco, literally fucking anywhere and it made you want to tear your hair out.Â
He was your pretty boy kryptonite and you needed him to leave you the fuck alone.
âOh Finny. Finny, Finnegan, fuckhead. You know I thought Iâd somehow be able to avoid you tonight but it seems like my stalker persists no matter the obstacles.â
Smoke trickles from between your clenched teeth and he has the audacity to stare at your lips and grin.
Fucking grin!!!
âYou wound me princess. Ainât even gonna share that little pinner of yours, I mean the absolute cruelty of it all.â
The grins still blazing on his lips but in Finn fashion he has to play up his part.Â
Clutching at his pearls, leaning against the kitchen counter like youâd just stabbed him straight through. Your eyes roll so far back in your head they almost launch themselves out of your skull.Â
âNo Finn, Iâm not gonna share with the likes of you. Go find Will and get him to roll you one, heâs the one I got the weed from anyways. Or maybe go find some other poor unsuspecting girl to do the deed for you, but you ainât getting shit from me. You know the rules sweet Finny: ass, cash, or grass and god only knows I ainât taking any of those three from you.âÂ
You regret those last few words the second they enter the air between you.
Because Finneganâs eyes drop straight to your mouth again and now heâs crowding you into the corner of the counter.Â
âOh sweetheart if you just let me show you what this ass can do I think you would be singing quite a different tune. You think Iâm all bravado and show but you and I both know the two of us could be quite a duo. I just know youâre absolutely unreal beneath that veneer of hatred you slap on.â
Heâs still staring at your lips, the joint hanging limply between them as you try and control your breath and not cough up a lung.Â
Two can play this fucking game.
You take a thick drag, the tip burning bright orange and crackling like cinders and his eyes only deepen in shade. The smoke curls out and up into your nose and he stares at you his jaw dropping a little slack as you play him like the fucking fiddle he is.Â
âFinn.â Your index finger trails up his arm as you ash the joint in the sink, and you can feel the muscles of his bicep twitch with the contact. âIf you think Iâm gonna let you touch me youâve lost your god damn mind. Now if youâll excuse me, Iâm gonna go find some peace and quiet. Away from you.â
Your voice is sticky sweet and he barely registers that youâre telling him off for the millionth time tonight until youâre traipsing out of the kitchen at lightning speed before you do something else youâll regret.Â
He got too fucking close this time around. You let him get too fucking close.Â
Your feet stomp quick up the stairs to the only safe place youâd ever been able to find in this house.Â
The roof. That blissful open space, like the crispest breath of fresh air it tasted almost minty. Your hands dig into your pockets looking for your weed, your lighter, and your rolling papers-
Fuck.
Of course youâd forgotten papers, predicable as always and fucking annoying as hell and youâre about to turn back down the stairs when your eyes land on something sitting on the windowsill.Â
Finnâs wood pipe.Â
You loved to hate it but it was his calling card. Stupid and quirky and so perfectly him that the sight of it made you heart twist just a little.Â
Not that you would ever fucking admit that.Â
Well beggars canât be chooser as they say.Â
Itâs deceptively crisp out on the roof as you shuffle around other groups till you get to your super secret corner on the far side of the house. No one ever seems to want to venture this far and you could smoke in peace and tranquility as the rest of the party raged somewhere far, far away.Â
The bowls packed, green just catching a smolder and you have to admit the stupid Sherlock Holmes pipe is kinda fun. Maybe youâd leave a fresh bowl packed for sweet Finn as a secret thank you gift.Â
Maybe this weed was stronger than you thought.Â
âAlrighty first you donât share your joint, then you verbally assault me in my own house, and now youâre smoking out of my pipe? You really are trying to start a fight with me this evening now arenât ya?â
Your eyes are red rimmed and your brain has that pleasant haze coating every synapse and you canât find it in you anymore to really fight Finn right now. The stars look too damn good and the tree has hit too damn deep to let your hackles rise.
âYou know maybe Iâve been giving you a bit of a hard time, but you damn well deserve it.â You smile around the pipe as you take another drag, but this time you pass it to Finn as he sits down just a little closer than usual.Â
His fingers snag against yours as you pass it and you both flinch a bit at the contact, sparkles zipping up your arms.
He stays quiet this time around, pulling puffs as you both watch people flit around the grass below you, the party continuing into this seemingly never ending night.Â
Fridayâs, they really were something.
Your knees knock, fingers catching again as he passes the pipe back to you. Another pull fills your lungs and you lean back, back, back until your back presses down on the cool paneling of the roof and you let the smoke drift up and away among those pretty little stars.Â
âFinn you can just be so fucking annoying sometimes, I just wanna shut you up for like five seconds so we can all take a fucking breather.â
He laughs at that. Real and deep, curling around the base of your spine as he turns to stare down at you and the feeling spreads all the way to your fingertips. All the way to your toes.
âIâm well aware, but itâs sorta a part of my charm. Iâm just waiting for it to final start charming you.â
Your eyes click to his, haze lifting for a split moment, and his eyes twinkle almost brighter than the stars.Â
âThatâs such a fucking line and you know that shit doesnât work on me. Fool me once and all of that jazz.â But you canât stop staring at him and now his eyes color puzzled, a little hazy as he tries to decipher your words. âOh come on, freshman year? You invited me to the party with all your fancy little words that you love to spin for me to only find you eating Tracyâs lips straight off her face? Honestly she still talks about that night to this day so I guess in a weird way kudos to you but man that did sting a bit.â
You chuckle around another pull and you go to pass it back but heâs clearly no longer interested in that. He seems very intent on memorizing every detail of your face under the stars and you canât help but wiggle a little under his hyper focused gaze.Â
âI-I didnât know that you were there that night. McReynolds told me youâd left with some dude and Tracy was more than willing to fill in that blank.â
Oh fuck.
Youâre both just staring at each other as moment after moment click like puzzles pieces. Every snippy comment, every lingering glance, every class, every time you just happened to run into each other all no longer strange coincidences and some secret hatred. Every little moment stitching itself together till it left just you and Finn.Â
And thereâs that fucking grin again.
But itâs softer this time, a little less sleazy and a little more lovely and now youâre sure his eyes are brighter than any star.Â
Your own lips tick up with a soft, nervous smile.
His fingers card between yours and he brings your knuckles up to his lips, stupid mustache tickling your skin in ways that make you shiver.Â
âI feel like nows the time to return to my earlier question since you finally shared some of that green with me, so what do I owe ya? Ass, cash, or more grass?â
You snort into the air between you and his grin splits into a megawatt smile and you finally let yourself tumble head first into kissing stupid, idiot, fuckhead Finnegan.
âAss, 100%.â
make my motor run
pairing- finnegan (everybody wants some!!) x afab reader
synopsis- everyone thinks finn is so sweet. you're not convinced.
warnings- 18+ minors and glen powell - you are not welcome here. protected piv, oral (f receiving), slight dumbification/degradation, praise kink. reader has ethically not great motives around sleeping with finn but do we honestly think finn cares? no
length- 2.1k
an- not hangman, but it's still glen so...close enough? this is the crossover literally not one person asked for - how to lose a guy in 10 days (if you squint a little) & everybody wants some
idk y'all, i don't have it in me to be ashamed anymore. this is just smut with some bants. idk if anyone even wants to read this but the glen powell brain rot is real so it had to be done so it'd stop rattling around in my mind. blame glen and his stupidly handsome face and the fact that he steals every scene he's in
title from my sharona - the knack
tagging some finn peeps - @sebsxphia / @iguana-braces / @justalonelyslytherin
Itâs Saturday night. Against your better judgment, youâre at the rickety baseball houses, silently debating if youâll have time to get a tetanus shot before your study group tomorrow morning.
Finn twirls his pipe between his fingers, leaning against the porch railing in a ridiculous paisley button-up. âAside from how to take my breath away, what do you study here, ladies?â
âDoes that ever actually work on real, human women?â You ask, ignoring the elbow to your ribs that Sophia digs into your side, presumably to get you to shut up.
The blond tilts his head, processing. He eventually grins. âTake no prisoners kinda gal, arenât ya? I like that.âÂ
You hold back a grunt when Sophia elbows you again, answering the question before you can snark him any further. âWeâre both journalism majors.âÂ
Going to take a sip of your drink, something youâll surely need to swallow whatever faux-enlightened comment he has about that little piece of information; you furrow your brows when you realize itâs empty.
âIâll grab you another drink, try not to miss me too much.â Finn winks, the bastard. What a ham.Â
Your eye roll is barely contained when Sophia gives you a knowing look.Â
âOh, come on, heâs sweet,â she insists.Â
âYouâve seen him with other girls, right? Everything out of his mouth is a line, Soph. Itâs all bullshit. Heâs pandering to us, so he seems better, different than his asshole teammates. Itâs insulting.â
âThen why havenât you told him to fuck off?â
âI think heâd be a good subject for my article.â
Her eyes widen. âAbout benevolent misogyny?â
âThatâs the one.â
âHow far are you gonna take this? Sleep with him to prove a point about how far a chauvinistic male will go for sex?â
You shrug. You hadnât really thought it through, honestly. Itâs not like itâd be a chore, he is pretty hot when he keeps his mouth shut.
She takes your silence as confirmation. âThatâs kind of fucked up.âÂ
âCanât be worse than changing your entire personality every other night just to get laid.âÂ
+Â
You find yourself sitting on the roof with Finn, having already shown up his mediocre golf swing. Youâd never admit it to Soph, but your article is the furthest thing from your mind right now.
âTrue or false: all fundamental beliefs are reasonable.â Youâre so taken aback by his pop quiz you almost donât notice him sitting down behind you, pulling you into the space between his legs.
Smooth. You roll your eyes, but donât move away. âFalse.âÂ
You can hear the smile in his voice. âI see someoneâs already taken Philosophy 101 with Roberts.âÂ
âYes, but thatâs irrelevant. Thatâs an insane statement regardless.âÂ
When you turn to catch a glimpse of him you see him opening his mouth, ostensibly to argue, but you shake your head. âMy turn. True or false: allâs fair in love and war.âÂ
âTrue.â
You canât help the smirk that tugs at your lips. âGreat answer.âÂ
Finn positively beams. âGood question!â His hands drift up from your hips, working their way under your flimsy tank before he brings his lips to your ear, murmuring, âTrue or false: youâre gonna let me take you inside so I can take you apart.âÂ
Your breath hitches. âTrue.âÂ
He turns your head to him, mouth pressing against yours, mustache tickling you, soft and sweet for just a moment, before he slides his tongue into your mouth filthily. âLetâs go then, honey.â
Your tiny denim shorts and little tank get lost on the floor of his bedroom almost immediately, skin ablaze as he pushes you back onto his bed, on soft forest green sheets that smell like him â warm and spicy and earthy. He stays standing as he makes quick work of his own clothes, raking his eyes across your naked form.
You try not to shy away from his gaze, meeting his eyes defiantly as you feel slick pooling between your thighs. Youâre barely keeping yourself from rubbing them together, words laced with an edge you donât feel. âThought you were working on a degree in cunnilingus. Put that mouth to good use, Finn.â
Thereâs a sparkle in those green eyes that you catch just before he braces himself above you, arms bracketing your head. His words are muffled against your skin as he kisses his way down your body. âOverheard that, did you? Knew you were paying special attention to me.â
You roll your eyes, mouth open to respond, but he drags his lips across your collarbone before his mouth closes around a nipple, effectively driving any wit from you.
He pushes your legs open wide, settling himself between them. His chest presses into the mattress as his arms wrap around your thighs where heâs busy putting them over his shoulders. When his mustache brushes against your thigh's sensitive skin, it sends shivers racketing through you and you feel his smirk only centimeters away from where you want it.Â
He licks his lips as your resolve crumbles with every passing second.
âCâmon, Finn, please,â you whine, threading your hands through his shaggy hair, trying in vain to pull him closer to your cunt.
âImpatient,â he tsks. You lean up to fix him with a glare, but it only makes him chuckle. âDonât worry, honey, Iâll take care of you.â
He finally, finally licks a stripe up your slit, and despite it being exactly what you asked for, you tug on hard on the blond hair between your fingers in surprise. He groans long and low, vibrations rolling through your body from your center where his lips are busy fixing themselves to your clit.Â
His buries his face in you, moaning against your cunt as his tongue laps at you like a starved man. âCould spend hours drowning in this pussy, tastes so fucking good.â
The sound that leaves you in answer to that is pathetic â high and whiny â hips bucking. His big hands are gripping you so tight youâre sure thereâll be bruises high on your legs tomorrow. He stiffens his tongue to fuck it in and out of you, nose bumping your clit and making you shake, your eyes rolling back into your head.
Any sense of shame, any idea that you should keep yourself quiet in this house full of strangers has left you â your existence narrowed down to your hands in his hair, his lips on your cunt, the moans tearing their way from your throat, unbidden.
Your legs dig into his back, urging him in, hurtling towards the point of no return so fast all you can think of is needing more. He moves his lips back to your clit, hand loosening his death grip enough to slide a finger into the wet mess youâve become at the same time he curls his lips and sucks.
âDonât stop, please, Finn I -â Youâre begging now, grinding against his face as much as you can in the vice-like grip he still has on you. He doubles his efforts, tongue working over your clit harder, finger inside you curling as you burn with the intensity of it, electricity bursting beneath your skin as the tension finally bursts, his name falling from your lips like a prayer.
Your legs feel like jelly. You let go of his blond locks belatedly, resigning yourself to your new existence as a puddle, a melted version of your former self.Â
He looks up from between your legs and grins.Â
You grab for his arms where theyâre still flexed around your thighs, bringing him up face to face with you. He smiles, dropping sweet kisses to your parted lips and warm cheeks. Whining, you wrap your legs around his waist, wordlessly trying to pull him to you, get him inside of you, greedy for him.
âDonât tell me a smart girl like you doesnât know how to use her words,â Finn goads, laughter curling in his words, and youâre torn between wanting to smack him and beg like your life depends on it. Youâre so distracted you barely notice him shifting his weight to his knees so he can reach for a condom, tear it open with his teeth, and roll it on.
You try to glare but he braces himself over you again, rubbing his cock between your folds, catching your oversensitive clit and a truly embarrassing whimper comes out, eyes blurring with a mix of pain and pleasure instead. âFinnegan.âÂ
âYeah, baby?â
Taking a deep breath, you try to get your last functioning brain cell to cooperate. âGet inside me right now or so help me ââ
You can still feel the amusement on his lips as he ducks his head down to slot your mouths together to cut you off, swallowing your moan as he pushes into you, slow and steady.Â
When you flex your legs around his waist impatiently, he chuckles before setting a relentless pace, grinding his cock into you hard with each push. Itâs too much, itâs not enough, it sets your skin on fire, it rackets the headboard against the wall â if his teammates didnât know what was happening before, they certainly have a good idea now.
Your head lolls to the side as he hits that spot inside you on every thrust, nerves overloaded as you grip the nape of his neck, just trying to hold on.
âFuck,â he groans, looking down at the glazed expression taking over your features. âNot gonna last long.âÂ
The thought that heâs already so close from having his mouth on you has your eyes crossing, cunt clenching around his thick length. His face crumples, mouth parting like youâve just knocked the wind out of him. âTrying to kill me, honey?â
He lifts one of your legs to his shoulders, leaning down towards you and bending you in half â pushing limits to flexibility you didnât even know you had.
âWanna feel you come on my cock, you can do that for me, canât you?â Finn asks, panting against your cheek, deft fingers moving down to circle your clit.
The sparks shooting through you as he presses into your center border on pain but youâre nodding, head bobbing up and down of its own accord, nails scratching red along his shoulders as you get closer and closer.
âGood girl,â he grunts and you keen, his words hurtling you towards the edge again. âSo good for meâŚlook at you, smart ass, brilliant girl fucked dumb on my cock.â
Heâs pulling almost all the way out of you on every thrust now, slamming back in, and your back arches against him, a string of unintelligible noises leaving you that youâre just barely aware of, mewling filling the air in the room as your release snaps through you, ears ringing.
When you come to, still shaking and clenching around him, heâs running his mouth still, a litany of praise and groans of fuck honey, perfect for me, spilling from his bitten, red lips. His hips tear forward without rhythm as he pumps into you one last time, filling the condom before dropping your leg and collapsing next to you, strings holding him up suddenly cut.
Finn rolls to the side, and you stare at the cracks in the ceiling, wondering if youâll ever be able to move again. You think heâs talking, but you canât even begin to register what heâs saying.Â
âDid I fuck all the brains out of the mouthy girl I brought up here?â Finn asks, amused when you donât respond.
âJust surprised you wanted audience participation for your post-sex speech,â you snark, trying not to belay how difficult it is to form words currently.
âWell, I think Joanna Russ would disparage of me if I were indifferent to your thoughts and opinions immediately after getting off.â
 You raise an eyebrow. âYou know who Joanna Russ is?â
 âThe Female Man is a cornerstone of feminist literature. I read it beââ
 You canât help but interrupt, brain quickly coming back online. âBecause you thought it was going to be about the ideal woman through a manâs eyes.â
 He even has the gall to look offended. âOf course not, everyone knows Russ is a feminist writer.â
âThen you read it so more women would sleep with you after hearing that youâd read it.â He presses his lips together to hold back a smile and you snort. âI knew it.â
âHoney, donât get mad at me just because it works.â
âIncorrigible.âÂ
You lay your head on his chest, trying not to purr like a kitten as his hands tangle in your hair.
âI enjoy Jack Kerouac too if you really want to round out your article. Paint a full picture.â
Your eyes widen, trying desperately to keep in the surprised squeak when you look up to meet jade eyes and see them filled with mischief.
âJust a thought,â he murmurs, hands resuming their movements on your scalp, lulling you toward sleep.
full disclosure i haven't actually read the female man but i'm pretty sure it was published in the 70s which seemed fitting for ews being set in the 80s. thanks for reading!
The Future Mrs
Pairing: Walt Finnegan x Female!reader
Characters: Walt Finnegan, Female!reader, Jake Bradford, Kenny Roper, Dale Douglas, Tyrone Plummber, Janet the bitch, Aunt Theresa (we don't speak of her)
Warnings: Fluff, questionable angst, cursing, moves, the boys are nice, some aren't, cousin eddie to the rescue, finn is a sweetheart, I love writing for the boys, the house parties are too lit, reader can be nice, reader is also lowkey a bitch, not me literally needing to rewrite and post this when I first wrote it, eddie and reader are the best cousins
Word Count: 1,041
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your cousin pulls his car up beside you and hollers for you. You roll your eyes and walk over towards him. âWhat do you want now?â
He smiles and leans closer to your nuisance, Finnegan. âWhy are you giving your favorite cousin attitude?â
You bend down, leaning against the door. âBecause my so-called favorite wants me to do his dirty laundry, quite literally I might add.â
You glance back, noticing the two freshmen and your favorite player on the team, âhey Dave.â
He smirks, knowing you say hi to him to annoy Finnegan. âHey.â
Roper scoffs, âhow dare- okay fine. But I have an offer.â
âWhich is?â You ask with a raised brow.
âIâll take care of the rats in your dorm, if you help me.â
âWhy would I want to do that?â
âSee I told sheâd get annoyed and wouldnât go for it,â Finnegan chimes in.
âStill standing here Finnegan and I can confirm that youâre the annoying one.â You glance over at your cousin, âand you, be ready. Iâm not packing your shit again.â
âIt was one time.â
âYouâre a fucking liar and you know it. This is the third time you've asked me⌠this week, Rope.â
âHave I told you Iâm sorry?â He gives you that one smile he uses on all the girls (it never works on you, no matter how many times he tries).
âTry again next time.â
One of the girls who made high school miserable calls out to you, Roper knows and learned (the hard way) not to interfere anymore.
He lowers his sunglasses on the bridge of his nose and narrows his eyes to her.
You turn, flipping her the bird with a kind smile. âBe ready,â you mutter to him.
âI see you still have that lame car,â she shouts.
You roll your eyes and push yourself off the door, unintentionally giving the blond a good view of your ass. âHow about you fuck off Janet? No one cares about your idiotic opinion.â
âItâs idiot, stupid.â
You cross your arms. âDid daddy pay for you to get in here or did you blow the principal... again?â
She screams and turns away.
You chuckle, leaning back down. âYouâre dealing with the rats. Iâll pack your shit, deal?â
âFine.â
âAnd, little warning,â you look at all the boys in the car, âany of you try to fuck her, make sure your wrapped. God knows what she has. Just no one marry her, thatâs all I ask.â You pat the car and walk away.
Your one and only true friend Dee, short for Alexandria, hops on your back.
You grab her thighs keeping her on you. âWhy must you do this every time?â
âItâs fun.â
She hops off, âcome meet my roommate.â
âI have plans.â
âSheâs right next to you.â
You groan, âfine. If I must.â
-
Jake leans forward, âthatâs your cousin?â
âYeah,â he turns around giving the two freshmen a hard look. âNeither of you can fuck her. Sheâs off limits.â
âYeah,â Dale laughs, âto anyone but Finnegan. If he can even get past her pissy nature.â
Roper rolls his eyes and pulls away, âsheâs just- I annoyed her, okay?â
âYou barely talked to her, and she was pissed. Sheâs got one of those, guys are the worst ever mentalities or something.â
âShe puts on that personality, so she doesnât get hurt.â
âYeah, I know.â
Jake glances at Plummer who shrugs.
âSheâll come to her senses eventually,â Finnegan adds.
âYou say that because you want to fuck her.â
The blond smirks, âI mean, yeah, I do. I wonât lie about that man, but I mean, sheâll stop being so defensive around us.â
Roper glances at him from the corner of his eye. âYou mean, you hope sheâll stop being so defensive around you.â
-
You walk out of the room and head for the roof, sitting beside the window, listening to the music.
âMind if I keep you company?â
You turn and find Finnegan in the window. âDonât you have some lonely chick to fuck?â
âYeah, and she doesnât want to talk to me. Keep me company?â Finnigan says with that stupid smile on his face.
You purse your lips, giving him an annoyed, fake smile. âHard pass.â
âOh, come on. You know you love me⌠Iâll take care of the rats, if you want?â
You raise your brows. âYou willing to take care of the rats in my place just to get in my pants?â
He chuckles. âBabe, Iâd train them to do your laundry if it meant I could take you out.â
âIâm pretty sure youâve said that to at least three other girls tonight.â
âSurprisingly youâre the first.â
You shake your head, âgo back to the party. This is no place for a popular guy like yourself.â
âAnd leave you out in the cold on your own, no thanks. Roper would kill me and,â he sets his hand down beside yours, âI donât want to leave you alone.â
-
You groan and cover your eyes, âwould you perverts shut up already?â
Roper steps forward, âwhy are you in his bed?â
âI donât mom, you tell me.â
âDonât make me call Aunt Theresa.â
âI dare you,â you open an eye and glare at him.
He breaks, âcome on, just- please tell me nothing happened.â
You push yourself up on one elbow and glance at the perky Finnegan. âNothing happened.â
âProve it.â
âIâm wearing all my clothes, even my socks,â you pull the sheets down and climb out of bed. âSee?â
âHe doesnât have a shirt on.â
âWell, look at that. Neither do you because thatâs how you sleep, Rope.â
Dale grabs his buddy and pulls him outside the room. âIâm gonna take him outside to take⌠this all in.â He stops to give his teammate a high five.
You roll your eyes and search for your shoes.
âWhere are you going?â He sits up, eyeing you.
âIâm going back to my dorm so I can make myself look semi presentable to those who werenât in this room.â
He fakes pouts, âdonât go.â
âIâm going. I need to change.â
He sighs, âif you must.â
You narrow your eyes at him, âdonât be like that, Iâll be back.â
âPromise?â
You roll your eyes, âyes, I promise.âÂ
Everybody wants Some!! Master List
(SMUT) Kick Ass not Kiss my Ass! // Ao3: Kick Ass not Kiss my Ass!
Summary:Â You bring a few things over to âyourâ cousinâs baseball house hoping to get out before he comes back... that didnât go as planned. Finnegan manages to get you over when itâs time for their party (even though coach told them no parties). Some things happen between you and him... but everyone knew it was bound to happen. Luckily your cousin, Roper doesnât care (too much) and only wants you two to stop making go-go eyes at one another.
The Benefits of being "Friends" with a Baseball Player // Ao3: The Benefits of being "Friends" with a Baseball Player
Summary: You and your nemesis, Finn, have barely been able to stand each other since your high school days. College, is a bit of a different story because now, well, he's got you in his bed and you're not totally against it. It also doesn't help when his teammates see you and decide it's time to tease you, thankfully Finn can kind of keep them on track⌠Or just warn them because he's experienced some of your wrath before.
The Future Mrs // Ao3: The Future Mrs
Summary: You're cousin, the loveable idiot in your eyes (but you'd never tell him that) is yet again driving around with his teammates trying to get some action. Not so shocking seeing as he does this every weekend before the new year starts, repulsing is what you tell him it is. Finn naturally tries to capture your attention, something that's been a goal of his since he really sat down and got to know you, not that you'd know. The freshies have no idea what's going on but there is no way in hell that they're going to try and mess around to get involved in all that drama.
How do you think the members of The Glen Cinematic Universe would react to their s/o saying their safeword? Also, how do you think they would feel after having used their safe word with their s/o?
very good question dear anon! iâve done jake here, but let me go into the others! đ
Charlie Young.
On the outside and with you heâs a total sweetheart, but behind his caring front he feels so guilty. I donât think sex with Charlie could ever get particularly rough, but regardless, you used your safe word therefore Charlie knows itâs bad.
Did he not read your body language right? Did he take it too far this time?
If you protested that you were sorry, heâd remind you you have nothing to be sorry for at all and heâd pull you under the duvet, keeping you pressed close to him. Heâd shower you in love, praise and affection and when youâve come back around, thereâs a call for a takeaway pizza.
Heâd definitely encourage you to talk about it a day or so later.
Walt âFinnâ Finnegan.
Similar to Charlie, heâs a total sweetheart, but he knows you used your safe word for a reason.
Heâd be incredibly proud of you for using your safe word and remind you that, âyou did the right thing, babyâ and âIâm so proud of you, well done for listening to your body.â
Humor is definitely used to break any tension when youâve come back around, or you ask him to ramble about a subject to soothe you and take your mind off it. Finn happily obliges and heâll do anything you ask him.
He takes some initiative, but for the most part he waits for you to tell him what you need.
Mark Reynolds.
The biggest gentleman youâve ever seen. You thought he was respectful and polite before? Wait until now.
Heâs calling you every sweet and romantic name under the sun, pulling you close into his chest to soothe you. Heâll fetch a cold flannel and drink for you and stay with you until he knows youâre completely okay.
How does he feel after? Thereâs nothing to it. Heâs a disciplined man. You used your safe word, thatâs that and he respects you for it.
Just Another Thing â [2]
WALT âFINNâ FINNEGAN X READER/OC
Summary:Â God help anyone who mightâve thought a nice, stable relationship might bring some kind of change to Walt Finneganâs usual mischief and mild-hedonism. God especially help them if they also thought a girlfriend would provide any sort of calming influence over him.
She definitely influenced him, anyone could tell you that, unfortunately just never in any way that could even remotely be described as 'calmâ.
Warnings:Â cussing, mentions of and talk of sex, sexy body parts, ect. reader/OC is named Kimberly/Kimber, but it is still written in second person and her name shouldnât come up very often.
Finn wakes with a start, the unfamiliar room around him momentarily sending him down a rabbit hole of confusion and doubt, right up until you walk through the door, which pushes him toward a separate spiralling hole, making him suddenly recall every detail of last night with startling clarity.
When Beverly had said you were the one girl on campus whoâd put up with him, he hadnât expected you to also be the one girl on campus who gave as good as she got behind closed doors, too.
Finn isnât exactly shy about his sexploits, heâs slept with plenty of women, but generally, even the most enthusiastic ones werenât exactly the best of lays, if he could be so crass to say. It wasnât that they were particularly bad or that he didnât have a good time, itâs more owing to the fact that Finn was somewhat unlike most men his age, in that he had always made a point of educating himself, on many topics, but especially on sex.Â
Especially when it involved the many different ways to please a woman.
The girls heâd slept with in the past could say whatever they wanted about him as a person, and they frequently did, but heâd never, not once ever, left a woman unsatisfied. It was important to him, for a reason beyond simple masculine pride that heâd never really bothered to interrogate.Â
At the end of the day he could give whatever reason he wanted, he doubts any woman would really care. Ideally, heâd have them too distracted to care. Generally though, his partners were not as well versed, meaning he gave, and he always gave happily, but for the most part he had to take care of his own pleasure, which wasnât exactly a chore. Hell, that was half the reason he was doing it in the first place.
You on the other handâŚ
Finn swears he nearly gets rock hard just thinking about you last night, but he has no time to indulge, because in the present moment youâve appeared as if on cue. Heâs not certain you realise heâs awake yet, which mostly works for him. He internally grumbles a little as he catches sight of the time, before quickly shutting his eyes again when you near. He really hadnât meant to sleep over. Heâd planned to be up and out shortly after youâd fallen asleep, as per usual, but in all sincerity, youâd fucked him so damn good, so thoroughly, that he canât even remember falling asleep in the first place.
Finn canât help himself as he lies there, hearing you so closely shuffling about, he allows himself to peek at you, simultaneously delighted and regretful when he lays eyes on you.
He shouldnât be here, stealing glances at you as you dress, he should have stuck to routine and left last night. But you really were amazing, not just in bed, but your flirting, your banter, your honesty, even if it was hard for him to read it as such at first.
Finn trails off then, thinking about how great a time he had with you in only a few hours, and finds himself imagining a whole little scenario where he gets to see you again after this, maybe actually take you on that date heâd promised⌠it sounded nice, in theory, but Finn writes it off immediately. That wasnât his bag, and really, who was he to take you out beyond this chance meeting? He wasnât exactly boyfriend material, and he also wasnât interested in wasting anyone's time. He didnât want to do that to you, but more importantly heâs pretty sure heâd get a baseball to the head if he did. Or in the crotch.Â
As Finn thinks about how heâd really like to talk to you more, maybe ask about your major, your team, he realises what heâs doing and scrubs all further thoughts out, quickly snapping himself back to reality.
A reality in which maybe the most beautiful, sexy, and clever woman heâd met on campus, or off, is packing up her sports bag for what is likely an 8:00 AM class, something that Finn should also be doing at this very moment, and not childishly pretending to be asleep, resigning himself to being late.
âIf the sun is bothering you, I can close the curtains,â your voice rings out then, nearly causing him to jump. That was another thing about you, too, until last night Finn has always had a harsh vendetta against anything that could even remotely be considered âhonky tonkâ or typically southern, heâd even avoided taking home a girl once or twice solely because her cowboy boots had irritated him so much, only now, all of a sudden he felt nothing but pure, soppy, affection when he hears the extremely thick east Texas twang in your voice.
He firmly believes that only you can make such a heavy drawl sound so delicate and classy. Heâs unable to picture you in any kind of small, dinky little town, so instead decides to imagine that you come from one of those hoity-toity neighbourhoods they had up in Dallas, which makes nothing but perfect sense to him.
Finn finds himself hurriedly blinking his eyes open in reaction to your words, before remembering that heâs supposed to be faking sleep to avoid you. You look over at him from your neat little desk, your huge duffle bag now open on your chair, which you appear to be packing several deflated balls into.
He reminds himself that you were on the Collegeâs Volleyball team, something he hadnât actually known existed until yesterday, but rejoices in the good news by recalling what you looked like at the park in your tight little shorts, your knee and elbow pads somehow really doing it for him. Finn rubs his eyes and groans at the fact he was probably never going to see or speak to you after this, let alone see you in those little shorts again.
âHuh?â he replies dumbly to your question, looking over at the window when you nod to it. He realises that your room might be the worst in the house, with the way the blazing Texas sun is already assaulting every inch of the space.
âI always leave the curtains open on school days, I like waking up with the sun, but I can close them if you want to sleep more?â you explain. Finn shakes himself more awake, the rouse well and truly over now, and awkwardly pulls himself from your admittedly very warm and very comfortable bed.
âOh, no, donât worry about it, Iâve gotta get up now anyway,â he tells you, clearing his throat and scratching the back of his neck, already practising avoiding you by refusing to look your way, telling himself itâs for his own good.
You chortle, but shrug and shake your head, before going back to packing your duffle.
Finn lingers uncomfortably next to your bed, now wondering if he had maybe upset you by staying. Not knowing what else to do, he focuses on your duvet, beginning to fiddle with it so your bed at least looked neat, and in the back of his mind, hoping it might help you forget he was ever here in the first place. No such luck, his movement causing you to look up at him properly, dropping a deflated volleyball and waving out a hand to stop him.
âOh! donât you worry about that! Those definitely need to go in the wash later,â you inform him, a note of wryness in your voice as you reference last nightâs activities. Finn drops his hands away from the blankets at your bequest, also dropping his gaze once more now that youâve stepped even closer and are focused solely on him.
Your attention makes him aware of his state of undress, only a pair of underwear covering him, and he happily starts to busy himself with collecting his clothes from the floor where he'd tossed them hastily many hours ago, only to find them folded neatly on the window bench. He realises you really must rise with the sun, and wonders how many hours youâd been up already.
âLast night was a lot of fun, by the way. There are definitely far worse ways to soil some good sheets,â you speak up again, a laugh accompanying your heavy accent this time.Â
Finn finds he canât refuse you his attention now that youâre asking for it, forgetting all about evading you as much as he can get away with, instead looking over at you as he dresses. Oddly, he finds his smile is nowhere near as tight or rueful as he feels.
âIâm glad,â he says without much thought, before instantly panicking when your face falls despondently.
âYou didnât enjoy it?â You ask worriedly, the prospect his reply presents clearly upsetting you, but despite telling himself that continuing to engage will only make disengaging even harder, itâs all completely in vain as he hurries to comfort you.
âWhat? No, no, I definitely enjoyed it,â he assures you quickly, glad when you seem to relax at his affirmation. Still, you seem a little more reserved than before, than you had been last night, which makes his skin itch uncomfortably. âThink I enjoyed it so much my brain is still scrambled,â he goes on, in an effort to stop the prickling sensation.
It works, your face breaking into an endearingly proud grin, shortly before the itching disappears. You chortle a little and give a small shrug, going back to your bag packing.
âWell, Iâve put in a lot of work to have exclusively great sex,â you tell him. âI mean, you canât expect to spike a volleyball perfectly without practice, so why should sex be any different?â you continue, with another laugh and a shake of your head.
Finn doesnât know why he feels so surprised at your statement. Maybe itâs just that heâs never heard a woman so casually admit to sleeping around. Then again, if men got to, then why shouldnât you too?
Beverley could say what she wanted about the way he used discussions around the feminist movement, as well as womenâs rights as a whole, just to get laid, but Finn had read all those books sheâd sarcastically kept lending him, and he genuinely thought the matter to be worthwhile.
Okay, so sue him if he happens to also on occasion use the very legitimate talking points of womenâs sexual liberation in his attempts to pick up women, but it's not like that meant he didnât really believe in what he was saying!
Finn is about to open his mouth to formulate some kind of a reply when you glance at the time and let out a soft gasp.
âOh shit, Iâm going to be late!â you baulk, quickly pulling the zip of your duffle bag closed and hauling it over your shoulder. âIâve got to go, feel free to use the shower, just close my door when you leave!â you hurriedly ramble, shoving your feet into a pair of sneakers. Finn is still blinking with his mouth halfway open when you call out a last goodbye and disappear out the door.
He showers, dresses, and is about to leave when he realises he hadnât closed your door. He considers for a moment, at the bottom of the stairs, just leaving anyway, but he canât bring himself to do it, so he rushes back up, closes your door with a quiet click, and then at last all but flees from the shared house.
âNoticed you never came home last night,â Dale slides into the seat next to Finn at the lunch table, and wiggles his eyebrows teasingly. Finn simply eyes his friend, and takes another bite of whatever it is the school liked to call food.
âHooked up with the girl I was talking to all night.â He tells him simply. âFell asleep after, only got out this morning when she left,â he goes on after another bite. Dale stares at him, a frown pulling over his features.
âSoâŚâ he prompts, causing Finn to look up at him again and shrug.
âSo what?â
âSo why do you sound so troubled? Was it not good? She was hot as hell man, no way it was that bad,â Dale insists, making Finn at last drop his fork to discuss properly.
âNo she was good, itâs justâŚâ he trails off and tries to figure out his own soured mood. Normally heâd have no issue talking up such a good night, especially considering you were good, but he canât help but linger on one tiny little fact. âI donât know, itâs like, this morning there was no âwhen will I see you againâ, no care in the world it was just a one night thing, sheâs not like other girls, you know?â
Dale blinks at him like heâs a moron.
âOkay? Iâm not seeing your problem here?â he says, frown even deeper now. âIsnât that perfect?â
Finn balks.
âNo! Sheâs perfect! You donât get it, I think I want to see her again, this girl is unbelievable!â He protests, sounding mildly desperate but he doesnât care. He looks away from his friend, and out at the grass. The cafe heâd chosen for lunch sits right opposite the library, and normally heâd have spent his break scoping out the cute girls whoâd sit studying under a tree or whatever it is he normally did, but today heâd barely even taken note.
âMan, not you too!â Dale groans in exasperation beside him, quickly digging into his own lunch as if this topic isnât worth continuing. âFirst Jake, now you⌠actually you know what thatâs fine, you hook up with that Kimberley chick, leave me with all the other cute girlsâŚâ
Finn had stopped listening about halfway through Daleâs tirade, how could he possibly pay attention to it when right there, through the window of the library, heâs spotted you, sitting at a table for four, a stack of books in front of you, your pen writing diligently on some page in front of you.
âYou want the rest of my soda?â Finn asks blindly, already getting up. Dale protests, but Finn doesnât even hear him, simply grabs his lunch tray, places it in the returns bay, and legs it across the grass as fast as he can.
He slows down upon entering the library of course, smooths down his hair, his moustache, grabs the first book he sees, and walks right up to where you sit, pulling out the chair opposite you and flips his book open. Out of the corne rof his eye, when he sees you look up, he looks up too, putting on his best display of âsurpriseâ when he ânoticesâ itâs you.
âWell now, what a coincidence this is!â he says before you can get a word in. You blink at him, but donât seem annoyed, simply cocking your head in an intrigued manner.
âWhat a coincidence indeed,â you drawl slowly, placing your pen down. âThanks for remembering to shut my door,â you go on after a beat where Finn is briefly too awestruck to say anything more. He quickly snaps back though, remembering the clear message youâd sent him last night, how you hadnât seemed to enjoy his antics more than you enjoyed simply talking to him.
âItâs the least I could do, you know,â he leans across the desk a little to faux whisper. âAfter such a great night,â he says, rewarded for his efforts when you smile at him. His own smile drops however, when a moment later, you pick up your pen again and look back at the books around you.
âListen, Finn, I appreciate you coming over to see me and all during your lunch,â busted. âBut I really need to study for this paperâŚâ
Finn jolts, wanting to flirt and charm you into paying attention to him, but he reminds himself that you arenât like most of the girls heâs seen before, and so instead relents, beginning to get up.
âIâm sorry, I should goââ
ââYou donât have to go!â you interrupt him, looking back up. Finn slides back down into his chair like youâve commanded him. âJust give me another half hour, okay?â
Finn does. He nods, and turns his eyes back down to his book, and for the next thirty minutes he reads about the life cycle of bees. Heâs only occasionally distracted by little hums you make, which cause him to look up at you for a minute or two and simply stare. He gets a good look at the pile of books you often swap out and flip through, taking notes, and finds himself again stunned by you in all your sexy, sexy, smart glory. You were studying something to do with physics and space and Finn canât help but think to himself about all the time heâs wasted seeing anyone but you and despite some of the books you have open having titles containing astronomy, he decides to keep his knowledge of astrology off the table.
Almost exactly thirty minutes have passed when you at last close all your books, including your notepad, place down your pen and look up at him again.
âYou know, I didnât think Iâd be seeing you again,â you tell him thoughtfully, looking him in the eyes. Finn opens his mouth but at first no words come out, so he quickly closes it again. He stares at you, you smile back and roll your eyes. âCome on, I know a place we can go, since you didnât even eat half your lunchâŚâ
Finn dutifully helps you return your stack of books, along with his own, before following you to your car where you promptly drive him off campus to a sweet little diner a block away. Even heâs surprised with how quiet he stays until after youâve both ordered, he doesnât even check out the cute waitress as she walks away, too absorbed in staring back at you as you make a hand gesture like youâre ready now.
âWhatâre you studying?â he asks quickly.
âAstronautical engineering,â you reply. âWhat are you studying? I didnât think we had a beekeeping school.â
Finn smiles and shrugs, almost about to launch into a speech about beekeeping and the non-existent classes he took on it, before he stops himself.
âEnglish literature and teaching.â he reveals, feeling a little naked in doing so, but the way your face lights up after he tells you erases any such doubt in his mind.
âYouâd be good at that! I bet youâd have no trouble holding a class's attention!â you gush. Finn distinctly feels his face go red.
Over lunch, you ask him about the baseball team, and in return he asks you about your volleyball team. Youâre halfway through explaining a recent rule change when you stop and blink up at him.
âOh you donât care about volleyball rules,â you say, seemingly bashful at having gone off for the past five minutes about the subject. âI bet youâve never even watched a womenâs sports game and cared about the rules,â you joke. Finn laughs, your statement not untrue, but he wonât go away with you thinking that was still going to be the case from now on.
âNot in the past, but I would if you were playing,â he tells you earnestly, hoping to god you donât think heâs simply using a line.
You stare at him for a beat before smiling softly again, turning your eyes down at your plate as you do. You place your knife and fork together at an angle and Finn definitely concludes you come from some kind of high society out East.
âI canât go home with you tonight, it's a school night,â you say, sounding sorry about that fact at least. Finn frowns.
âBut itâs a Friday?â he doesnât mean to push, he doesnât even care if you go home with him, heâd be okay with genuinely, actually studying with you if that's what it took. You shake your head like youâre reading his thoughts.
âI have a shift at the observatory,â you begin apologetically, before your face once again lights up.
âHow about the next time we see each other, we go out then?â you repeat his words from your very first meeting. Finn straightens up, a grin pulling across his features. He liked this game, and unlike the last time, he didnât have to go away with the feeling that heâs made a mistake, because he can tell by the tone of your voice, one way or another, you intended to see him again.
âAlright Kimberley, itâs a deal.â
Just Another Thing â [3]
WALT âFINNâ FINNEGAN X READER/OC
Summary:Â God help anyone who mightâve thought a nice, stable relationship might bring some kind of change to Walt Finneganâs usual mischief and mild-hedonism. God especially help them if they also thought a girlfriend would provide any sort of calming influence over him.
She definitely influenced him, anyone could tell you that, unfortunately just never in any way that could even remotely be described as âcalmâ.
Warnings:Â cussing, flirting, illusions to sexxxxx. reader/OC is named Kimberly/Kimber, but it is still written in second person and her name shouldnât come up very often.
âYou know, Iâm pretty sure this counts as cheating at our little game,â Finn says in a sing-song voice when he jogs up to the fencing around the baseball pitch between innings. It was a balmy Saturday afternoon and at some point between this inning and the last, youâd shown up at the front of the stands beside Beverly. You stand to meet him, and he whistles slowly upon seeing the baseball jersey you have tied into a cropped top. He figures it must be one of Beverlyâs.
âHow do you know this isnât serendipity at work?â you ask back, leaning right up against the fencing. Finn lifts an eyebrow but smiles. âBesides, I knew where youâd be today, Iâm free tonight. I wanted to see you again,â you state matter of factly, yet still somehow very sexily. Finn pulls off his cap and holds it over his chest.
âYouâre making me blush!â He teases back, before nodding in the direction of where Beverly is standing talking to Jake, feeding him little slices of oranges she has in a cup through the fencing. âI hope Bevie hasnât told you anything bad about me,â he says.
You glance over and scrunch your nose adorably at the sickenly sweet affection between your friend and her boyfriend.
âNot anything I didnât already know, besides, itâd only be hypocrisy,â you reply with a small shrug. Finn replaces his hat and takes up a lean against the otherside of the fence.
âHow so?â he asks with a smirk. You cock your head and match his grin with your own.
âSheâs friends with me, isnât she?â
Finn stays beaming at you, leaning in even closer so your faces are barely separated by the wire between you.
âWeâre all going to the Sound Machine tonight,â he tells you, eyes flickering between your eyes and lips. Your face lights up, and he feels a sudden sense of pride that heâs caused it to do so.
âIâll be there,â you say instantly, just as one of his teammates calls out to him, the next inning about to start. Finn glances back then turns to you once again as he pushes away from the fence.
âAnd one more thing honey,â he calls, walking backwards back to the dugout. âLet me know the next time you plan on coming and watching me, Iâll make sure youâve got the right shirt on!â he grins widely, and points to the number on his back just as he turns.
You walk arm and arm with Beverly through the clubâs front doors, greeting Harry the doorman as he waves you both through. By now you were well known to the staff at Sound Machine, you and Harry had even had a short fling once, so your cover and drinks were always free of charge. You donât expect that to be an issue tonight though, not when you had already planned on meeting Finn here.
Beverly quickly leads you around the dance floor and to a set of tall tables already crowded with rowdy baseball players, and the two of you are immediately welcomed as you siddle up. You barely get a chance to untuck yourself from your friend and make your way around to where Finn is sat oogling you before someone else leans over into your space.
âWell, well, well Beverly, who is your friend here?â a man you recognise as the one who threw the baseball that hit you, Roper, says. He doesnt even look at Beverly when he speaks though, his gaze trained solely on you.
âKimberley,â you introduce yourself, holding out your hand, only a little skeezed out when instead of shaking it, he lifts it to his lips and kisses it.
âCharmed,â he says, looking you deep in the eye. You glance in Finnâs direction to find him glaring at Roper, but before you can tell him to buzz off, another hand is struck out towards you.
âIâm Dale,â the new man says, pushing in to bump Roper aside, and for politeness sake, these were Finnâs friends afterall, you take his hand, relieved when he only shakes it.
âItâs so nice to meet you both,â you tell them, rolling your eyes a little when they both immediately begin flirting heavy-handedly, complimenting your outfit and your hair, and asking about what you do at school. Eyeing Finn again, you see him throwing mental daggers at both men, though you catch his attention when he seems to worriedly look back at you.
Throwing him a wink, you flick your hair and focus back on the two men trying their damndest to be the one to take you home. You lean on the table beside you and pop your hip out, something that doesnât go unnoticed by either of them.
âHow about this;â you begin, speaking loud enough for the rest of the group to hear. Looking over at Beverly, you spot a maniacal grin on her lips as she leans up to whisper something in Jakeâs ear. âIf you can guess my major, Iâll let you buy me a drink,â you propose, putting on a show and laughing girlishly when both men begin to call out what they think your major might be.
âVetenarian!â
âWhat? No, look at her, sheâs clearly a drama student, with Beverly!â
âAstronautical Engineering,â Finn announces loudly, causing both Roper and Dale to turn and look at him like heâs insane. Clapping your hands together, you grin widely at him.
âGot it in one!â you tell him, laughing again when you see the appalled expressions on his friendâs faces. Finn smiles back, clearly having picked up on the fact you had no intention of letting any of his friends flirt with you, and pushes out of his seat, holding a hand out.
âThen I guess I get to buy you a drink, thatâs my prize, right?â
You meet him on the otherside of the table, and take his hand eagerly, quickly throwing another wink back at the disappointed guys now hassling each other over apparently ruining the otherâs chances.
âRight!â you say when you look back at Finn, his smile never waning as he leads you toward the bar.
When you arrive, he holds the little swivel seat steady for you as you hop up, before he takes up a lean next to you at the bar, standing close so you can hear one another above the music.
âChrist am I glad you remembered,â you huff with another roll of your eyes, jerking your head in the direction of his friends. Finn laughs.
âSo am I. You nearly had me going there, giggling and all that!â He says with a small shake of his head. You cock your head at him and place a hand on the arm he has resting against the bartop.
âIâm sorry,â you begin to apologise, but he covers your hand with his own and shakes his head once more.
âNo, no, that,â he gestures back to the tables. âWas extremely entertaining to watch. Not to mention satisfying.â he grins at you boyishly, but straightens briefly when the bartender approaches, placing both your drinks orders quickly before turning his ful attention back to you.
âDo you like watching, Finn?â you tease, leaning closer toward him. Finn smirks, but considers for a moment, flicking his eyes up then back to you.
âDepends on what Iâm watching,â he tells you after a moment, before raking his eyes up and down your figure showily. âI would watch you do anything,â he flirts back, making you laugh.
You donât go back to your group. You flirt shamelessly until you finish three more drinks each, at which point you slip off the stool and take his hands.
âDance with me!â you call out over the music, already pulling him toward the dancefloor where Earth, Wind & Fire has started playing.
You canât help but laugh in surprise, not only at how great of a dancer Finn really is, but at the way he spins and twirls you around the other dancers, singing along until your bodies crash togther once again. You reach up to wrap your arms loosely around his shoulders and neck as his own take a place at your hips, and you hold absolutely nothing back as you roll and grind them against his own.
Youâre a little tipsy now, which is perhaps why you pull him closer toward you so you can speak.
âHave you ever looked at the stars?â you ask, still dancing.
âThink Iâm looking at one right now,â he says matter-of-factly, making you throw your head back laughing, but you quickly shake your head.
âNo, I'm serious!â you shout over the music, âWe should go stargazing! I want to show you!âÂ
Which is exactly how you end up back at your teamâs house, laying on the front lawn curled up in one another as you point out constellations to him. Just as you finish showing him the big and little dippers, you sit up partially, resting your head in your palm as you stare down at him.
âNext time I have a shift at the observatory, Iâll try and sneak you in, you can see them so much clearer there!â you gush. Finn grins up at you, and tucks an arm behidn his head.
âAlready cheating and planning our next serendipitious meeting, huh?â he asks, making you slip down a little lower to hide your face partially behind his sleeve.
âIf you donât want to, thatâs okay, I know that doesnât sound very sexy,â you trail off, resting your chin on his arm.
Finn looks away from you and back to the stars, his face suddenly a mite more serious than it ever has been.
âI donât usually do this sorta thing,â he starts, voice low. âYou know, seeing girls again after the first time,â he looks back down at you then, where you nod in understanding.
âThatâs okay, I donât really either,â you admit.
âItâs different with you,â he quickly goes on, but stops himself. When he doesnât continue after a moment's pause, you poke him.
âWhy?â
Finn sucks in a deep breath, holding it for a few seconds as his eyes turn away from you once again, before he lets it out.
âI donât know,â he says, sounding unsure, but heâs quickly rolling himself over and draping an arm around your middle, so you lay face to face, only a hair's breadth away. âMaybe because you saw through all my bullshit and wanted to sleep with me anyway?â
You canât help but shrug, a small smile curling over your face.
âIâd already decided that when we first met, I wasnât about to let those ruses get in the way,â you tell him.
Finn smiles back, in that way that you like, with his eyes crinkling in the corners as he softly pinches your side.
âMaybe itâs because of how assertive you are, you know exactly what you want,â he adds as you squeak and jerk a little closer at his teasing. Your faces are even closer now, your noses touching, and you canât help but shrug again.
âA lot of guys donât, but I donât really see that as my problem.â you say confidently, speaking nothing but the truth. If a man didnât want you, you didnât want him, and that was that.
Finn groans and cuddles closer.
âSee, even you saying thatâs making me hard!â he faux complains. You canât help but laugh, leaning even closer to press a kiss to the corner of his mouth, moving back just as he tries to turn his head and capture your lips fully.
âWell, why donât we go inside and take care of that?â you begin getting up, only stopped when Finn takes up your hand again and pulls you back. You let out a soft sound of surprise that is quickly muffled when he presses his lips to yours fully, hand moving to cup your cheek until youâre both giggling against each other. He finally pulls away and gazes at you cheekily.
âOnly if you promise to sneak me into the observatory next time.â
Finn hums to himself as he flips another piece of french toast onto a plate, not even stopping when he hears someone else enter the kitchen. He glances back briefly and nods at Beverly who eyes him sardonically as she pulls on her second shoe and opens the fridge in search of juice.
âFrench toast?â Finn asks, gesturing with his spatula to the ingredients heâs got laid out. Beverly eyes the two plates of breakfast heâs already made, and takes a seat on the opposite counter.
âSure,â she says, watching as Finn goes about preparing her food. âKimberley stayed the night again?â she asks, receiving a little hum in reply.
âShe sure did,â he informs her happily. Beverly snorts into her hand and sips from her glass of orange juice.
âWhat do the guys think about that?â she asks, recalling the shit Jake had gotten from his teammates at first when she herself had started hanging out at the house more.
Finn places her toast on to cook then turns around to lean on the counter top as he looks at her.
âI donât really care what the guys have to say about it,â he starts, motioning upstairs with his spatula again. âFact is, theyâre out every night complaining about getting laid, Iâm actually getting laid. If they donât see that as winning, theyâre bigger idiots than we already thought,â he tells her. Beverly laughs again as Finn turns back to the hob and flips her toast.
âWell, I never!â she says dramatically, hopping off the counter and making her way to his side. âYouâre finally growing up!â she gushes, pinching his cheek until he swats her away with his utensil.
âYeah, yeah,â he shoos her back slightly, before grabbing a napkin and placing her breakfast inside it, holding it out. âSâprobably about time, anyway,â he admits somewhat quietly. Beverly only smiles at him, and accepts the food, ducking closer before he can realise to press a quick kiss to his cheek.
âGood for you,â she says, stepping away before she can be swatted at with the spatula again. âThanks for the french toast!â she calls back as she scrambles from the kitchen. Finn rolls his eyes, turning the stove off and taking up both plates just as the front door opens then closes again.
Upon entering his room upstairs, which he now had to himself since the Willoughby incident, Finn quietly kicks the door shut behind him, before hurrying over to his bed, which he climbs onto carefully. All the movement wakes you some and you groggily lift your head from his pillow, eyeing him sleepily.
âBreakfast is up pretty lady,â he tells you, hovering one plate under your nose until you start to rise.
âYou made me breakfast?â you ask softly as you go about sitting up. Finn situates himself cross legged in front of you, handing you a plate once youâre ready.
âCourse! Big game day!â he says.
âThat is so sexy,â you tell him, placing the plate aside on the mismatched bedside table heâd dragged in for you a few weeks ago, and lean forward to press a kiss to his lips, which turns into two kisses, which turns into you shuffling closer, almost into his lap. Finn pulls back though, and tuts at you.
âUh, uh, uh sweetheart! Breakfast while itâs hot, and then sex!â he insists, chortling internally at himself. If heâd have heard himself a year ago, he wouldnât believe it either.
Groaning, you flop back against the headboard, and roll your eyes, but your smile gives you away as you take your plate again, and begin on the first slice of french toast heâd prepared for you.
âGood girl,â Finn teases, earning another eyeroll.
You eat in comfortable quiet for a few minutes, and only when both plates are back on your bedside, and heâs finished having his second breakfast does Finn ask the question thats been bothering him for a while now.
âWhy donât you invite me to any of your games?â he asks quietly, playing with your hair as you cuddle up to his side. Youâd need to get up and go soon to catch the bus that would take you and your team an hour and a half north to Baylor, who you were playing. He feels you pause and shift, looking down at you when you look up.
âHonestly, I didnât think youâd be interested in comingâŚâ you tell him guiltily. Finn scoffs.
âThatâs ridiculous!â
You only shrug.
âNone of the guys my teammates date ever want to come, and it's not like weâre used to having a huge audience anyway, being a womenâs sport and all⌠most of the time the school doesnât even take us seriously,â you admit. Finn shuffles to look at you properly.
âThatâs stupid, Iâd come to all your games, and not just to see you in your uniform!â he tells you assertively, before nestling his face closer to yours. âIâd even wear one of those tight little tops yaâll wear.â he grins upon making you laugh, leaning down to kiss you.
After thoroughly making you late, you shower together and dress before he walks you to your car. Leaning in through the driver's side window, you kiss him again and ruffle his wet hair.
âThe next time we play here, Iâll let you know,â you tell him as he pushes off and you begin backing out. Before you drive off, you lean out your window again and pull your sunglasses on. âAnd I expect to see you in one of those tight little volleyball shirts!â
When your co-captain calls you over during the mid-game break, you arenât sure what youâre expecting her to say, but it certainly isnât what she does.
âHey, isnât that your boyfriend in the stands? Why didnât yaâll drive up together?â
Faster than lightening you whip your head around, scanning the minimal crowd of mostly parents and friends until right there in the front you spot the green-eyed, blonde. Blinking in surprise, you donât even respond to your friend before youâre taking off in a jog toward the bleachers.
Finn stands as you approach, placing down a book heâd been holding as you get nearer.
âWhat are you doinâ here!?â you ask laughing as he greets you with a short kiss. You stare up at him in amazement, still blinking rapidly like he may poof out of existence any moment. Finn waves his arms wide and shrugs.
âI told you, Iâd be at all your games!â he tells you, before gesturing down at the shirt heâd worn, only for you to realise it has your collegeâs volleyball logo emblazoned on it in burnt orange. âHad to make a few pit stops first though, so I only caught half of the first quarter.â
âWhere did you get this?â you ask, pinching the hem of his shirt and waving it slightly.
âSnuck into the volleyball courts, asked one of the staff for it,â he waves off this fact breezily and instead bends down to grab his book again.
âNow, listen, Iâve been reading up on the rules, and you guys are doing great, but I reckon if you were more aggressive, youâd easily be able to exploit the gaps in Baylorâs strategyââ He doesnât get to finish because you pull him in for a much more heated kiss.
âIâm going to blow you so good later,â you tell him upon pulling back. Finn grins wide, looking rather proud of himself, and you kiss him again until someone from your team whistles loudly at you.
You turn back to them, finding your gaggle of teammates crowded together and watching you in various states of giggles and hushed whispering. You look back at Finn and grin.
âLater. Did you drive?â you ask, to which he pulls his keys from his pocket and waves them for you. You begin making your way back to your team, but point at him.
âLater!â you say again.
Upon reaching your girls again, you call for a huddle and gather up.
âAlright, hereâs how it is, we need to be aggressive for these last two quarters, Baylor has some gaps, I know weâve all seen them, so now we take advantage,â you inform them quickly, earning nods and murmurs of approval from the team.
âIs he reading the rule book?â Nancy asks instead of replying to your new strategy, and you look up at her.
âYes,â
âAnd heâs got a team shirt on!â Barbra adds, causing the girls to giggle amongst themselves again. You grin.
âYes, he does. And If iâm gonna get laid later, we gotta win this, alright? Ready? Go!â
