Why am I only just now realizing that Alex holds eye contact like "you bet I'm going to get a good look at that discomfort, and I'm going to enjoy it too".

Funny in the moment, but it also makes me a little sad. They kinda gang up on her for no reason (okay, a little reason), when they should be besties already.
