FOUR YEARS SINCE NOV 5TH, 2020, as summed up by Supernatural
past recaps: year one / year two / year three / year four
full context and sources below:
various explanations + resources/sources/extra reading on this year's recap:
balls deep: misha collins says the quiet part out loud at Cross Roads 8 Supernatural Convention, saying "if the CW wasn't so homophobic dean and cas would've been balls deep for sure" at a con (x) (x) (x)
garthbenny canon: supernatural actors DJ Qualls (who played hunter-turned-werewolf Garth Fitzgerald) and Ty Olsson (who played the vampire Benny Lafitte) reveal they're married, delighting crack shippers like myself everywhere (x)
spn spooky picture book: official supernatural children's picture book is released, retconning things like john winchester as a happy father figure and castiel being their cowardly childhood friend who sorta hangs around (x) (x)
boop button: tumblr introduces a feature people enjoy for once for april fool's day and halloween and allows users to boop each other, spn bloggers re-awake like sleeper agents to use it in full force (x) (x)
bedlund speaks on destiel: former spn writer ben edlund goes on a tweet fest replying to fans, talking about destiel multiple times including this profound tweet (x)
clear text, not subtext: jensen speaks out again on the confession at Purcon 8, this time taking a more open stance on how the relationship was textual, his take on dean's feelings about cas's feelings, and how the scene with cas deserved a resolution (x)
bury your gays: famed author chuck tingle (known for his plethora of highly specific and delightfully inclusive, if strange, indie erotica novels) publishes his second mainstream horror novel, inspired by TV network studios' infamous history of censoring LGBT relationships and openly killing off queer characters. In a non-subtle nod to supernatural fans, the main character is named misha. (sidenote: did end up reading this and this book is actually really good commentary on the industry in general and really good, 10/10 recommend) (x) also someone got the book signed by misha, to further break the fourth wall (x)
tracker: jensen ackles begins starring in a CBS show where he is basically csoplaying dean winchester, with the show featuring many non-subtle spn references (i.e. him pretending to almost get in an impala before going to his truck, characters wearing spn necklaces, etc.) (x) (x) (x) (special shout-out to clarice @youre-only-gay-once for expertly tracking the tracker show and these easter eggs, highly recommend their tag for their show)
cw's walker cancelled: fans rejoiced upon hearing the cancellation news for jared's post-supernatural show, walker, a remake of "walker texas ranger." in addition to generally being a copaganda show for the notoriously racist texas rangers, jared's inspiration for the show's direction caused much concern. the actor himself said the show was inspired by the US border crisis, not by the immigrant families affected by the separation and internment, but instead wanting exploring the POV of the law enforcement agents working at the border and the moral dilemmas they had to face (x)
pro-destiel Wonder Woman: Lynda Carter (aka the iconic and beloved original actress for Wonder Woman, not the z*onist one) says she could "go for some Destiel" when promoting #GeeksandNerdsforHarrisWalz and Misha's involvement (x) the rest of the spn cast and original Showrunner Kripke were also a big part of this event
chili's backfire: the chain restaurant chili's drags destiel while interacting with 9-1-1 bucktommy shippers on twitter, immediately gets backfire. notably, their stock takes a dip the next day. coincidence? maybe so, maybe not (x) (x)
samgirl voting fraud: "who is the gayest spn character" tumblr poll surprisingly gets heated, with a blogger straight-up admitting they used a bot on the "castiel vs. sam" poll to rig the poll in sam's favor, which they apparently also did for w*ncest in another poll in the past, and posting a guide on how anyone could do the same. luckily democracy wins in this one instance and castiel prevails anyways, leading to an also contested "castiel vs. charlie bradbury" round (x) (x)
pink pony jarpad: jared is spotted at lesbian pop star chappell roan's set at a festival, un-likely place for him to be (x) also may have been one of the "boring" people called out by chappell? (x)
pro-kamala castiel: in a last-ditch effort to get out the vote, misha uses the power of castiel photo ops to campaign for harris-walz and even shouts-out destiel. I feel depressed writing this sentence, if you've made it this long in your read and you're in the states I hope you're doing alright! maybe by the time I wake up things will be a little different though. (x)

Stupid things
Dragon started one day (it was totally koalas faulty) saying ‘girl dinner’ literally whenever he needs to have a snack. Crocodile got caught up in it
This ended by crocodile saying ‘fag dinner’ while dragon was performing certain sexual acts (There may have been hospital visit following this)
Crocodile has two separate spaces for his clothes, one is his work clothes and the other are his very soft silk and cashmere and several very worn t shirts that he may or may not have stolen from dragon
He doesn’t wear hoodies (to public knowledge) but dragon always wear ones that don’t belong to him (dragon has never bought a hoodie in his life)
Crocodile loves dressing dragon up as much as dragon loves dressing crocodile down (not a sexual thing, he just likes when croc is in soft comfy loungewear)
Unfortunately crocodile hasn’t ever had a day where he looks bad (not including that one particular set of nine months that will not be mentioned ) Crocodiles just oozes fashion and charm and being gorgeous
Dragon looks vaguely like a 4th year uni student most of the time. But he does smell a lot nicer, and crocodile did at one point consider putting a paper bag over his head because how does Dragon attract so many people?
Crocodile cannot dance for shit and Dragon can, it’s a testament to love that croc is willing to be pulled out on the floor again and again
Actually I should clarify, Crocodile cannot do regular dancing for shit. He can however grind quite well and is adept at the club
Petnames include
Freak, weirdo, husband, my husband, my ex boyfriend, muscle man, walker Texas ranger, doll face and of course, ‘that bastard’
Crocodile will compulsively flick his lighter open and closed until the hinges on it wear out. Dragon cannot stand the repetitive noise, so Crocodile only does it when he's safely out of earshot.
Dragon used to smoke when he was younger. Cheap cigarettes that he could scrounge enough pocket change for. He tries not to anymore due to the damage to his throat, but sometimes he'll bum one off of Terry if he's exceptionally stressed out. On the verge of having a full-blown meltdown levels of exceptionally stressed. When he and Crocodile met, the latter was absolutely appalled by how he could smoke trash like that. He offered a draw on one of his cigars, and had to pat the taller man on the back so he didn't choke. The only thing he smokes now is the occasional dart for the RLS.
All the gold Crocodile brings in from a haul is tested for being Shandian in origin. Something about the longterm exposure of blue sea gold to whatever condenses the clouds into a fossilized form in Skypiea specifically effects the conductive qualities of the metal. They are more recipient to an electrical current than other types of gold. He tests them with dry lightning produced by the friction and aridity of his sand. If it's Shandian, it goes to Dragon. All the piercings and bits of jewelry Dragon wears aside from the disks are gifts from Crocodile. He only keeps a one or two sets, and lets everything else be documented and loaded up for him to fly back to Shandora.
Crocodile uses his expertise in animal handling to help Dragon preen his feathers. He raised and trained the Unluckies himself, so he knows how to pamper a bird. Or a condor, at least. Dragon has the same sort of reaction about Crocodile preening him as Crocodile does when he sharpens his talons in his sand. Which is interesting because he usually bristles at any touch to his wings but his own.
There are many times when a sharp-toothed bite mark happens to just appear on the valley of skin between his wings. It just shows up sometimes. No rhyme or reason. The dental pattern certainly doesn't match his husband's.
When the rare spike in libido hits Dragon, the puma aspect of the Amaru comes in hard. He will change shape, either fully or partially and caterwaul for Crocodile. Which would be pretty cute and kinda sappy if it weren't for the fact that a puma caterwaul sounds like a woman being brutally murdered.
Crocodile rarely uses his logia abilities to shape himself a hand. He sees it as an unnecessary waste of energy. He gets by just fine with a prosthetic. Certain feats of dexterity will call for it, but he's typically too slippery to get into such situations to begin with, and when they do happen, he typically looks for other outs before resorting to it. The one time he will is for brushing his husband's hair. Dragon just... melts under the attention. If he plays his cards right, it might even rile him up.
When they spar, each point of contact is punctuated with a static shock. Between Dragon's devil fruit given production of static electricity, and Crocodile's aforementioned friction and aridity, sparks quite literally fly. This very much has been exploited in intimate settings.
Crocodile keeps his husband's molted Shandian feathers as mementos on long trips, while Dragon keeps some of Crocodile's Thalattosuchid Fish-Man shed teeth. They're clinically insane about each other, but this is known.

The moon hung low in the midnight sky, casting a silvery glow over the quiet forest. (Y/N), a striking young woman with long, flowing black hair that cascaded down to her hips, stood alone among the trees. At 5 feet 11 inches, she possessed an aura of strength and mystery that drew the eye. But it was her unique gift that truly set her apart—the nine-tailed wolf, as white as freshly fallen snow, that loyally accompanied her.
She had been living a solitary life for as long as she could remember, ever since her powers had manifested. Her childhood had been a blur of confusion and fear, as she tried to comprehend the extraordinary abilities coursing through her veins. The snowy wolf, her constant companion, was her only solace in those early days of isolation.
Throughout history, she had been known as the "snowbound savior." Legends and tales had spoken of a white wolf with nine tails that appeared when one was in dire need of help. Villagers would tell stories around campfires, passing down the folklore of this mystical guardian who emerged from the depths of the forest to aid those in their darkest hours.
But (Y/N) knew the truth. She wasn't just a legend; she was real, and she carried the weight of her unique destiny on her shoulders. Her existence was a secret known only to a select few, those who had witnessed her powers firsthand or had heard whispers of the mysterious white wolf.
Tonight, beneath the silver canopy of stars, (Y/N) felt a strange restlessness in her spirit. It was as though the air itself carried an unspoken message—a call for help that only she could answer. The bond between her and the nine-tailed wolf seemed to hum with anticipation.
With a determined look in her eyes, (Y/N) turned and headed deeper into the forest, her faithful companion padding silently at her side. She didn't know where the call for help originated, but she trusted her instincts. The "snowbound savior" was on the move once again, ready to face whatever darkness lurked in the shadows and to offer her unique gifts to those in need.
The dense forest welcomed (Y/N) as she ventured deeper into its heart. Here, she felt at one with the world around her, a connection that ran deeper than blood. She wasn't just a woman with extraordinary abilities; she was a guardian of nature itself.
As she moved through the ancient trees, (Y/N) could hear the soft murmurs of leaves, the whispers of the wind, and the gentle rustling of creatures hidden in the underbrush. Nature spoke to her in a language few could comprehend, and in return, she listened and responded with reverence.
Today, however, the whispers were tinged with urgency. The very earth beneath her feet seemed to vibrate with concern. (Y/N) paused, her senses on high alert, and closed her eyes to better attune herself to the natural world.
"What troubles you, dear friend?" she murmured softly, her voice a melodious harmony with the forest's song.
In response, the wind carried a somber message, leaves rustled in distress, and the faint echo of a distant waterfall sounded mournful. Nature was trying to communicate something of great significance.
The revelation came like a thunderclap in her mind—a coven of vampires was in danger, and their fate was intricately entwined with the lives of the humans in the town they resided in, as well as a nearby clan of wolf-shifters. The balance of their existence hung in the balance, and the very fabric of the supernatural world trembled with uncertainty.
(Y/N) felt a surge of conflicting emotions. She had distanced herself from the supernatural world, seeking solitude and anonymity after years of bearing the mantle of the "snowbound savior." Her past involvements had left scars both physical and emotional, and she yearned for a simpler existence.
Yet, as she stood among the ancient trees, a profound sense of responsibility washed over her. She had a duty to protect not just the coven of vampires but also the humans and wolf-shifters who unknowingly depended on their presence.
With a heavy heart, (Y/N) raised her eyes to the heavens, her voice resonating with unwavering determination. "Nature, you have my word. I will do all that I can to help. For the sake of balance, for the sake of those in need, I will step once more into the world of the supernatural."
The forest around her seemed to sigh in relief, a symphony of gratitude and understanding. The bond between (Y/N) and nature deepened, and she knew that her path was now clear. The snowbound savior had been called to action once more, and she would honor her commitment to protect and preserve the fragile balance of the supernatural world.
The clearing deep within the forest was a training ground for the local wolf-pack, and tensions were running high as the group practiced their coordinated maneuvers. Alice, the perceptive and clairvoyant member of the Cullen family, watched their movements closely, her golden eyes scanning the scene with an intensity that never wavered.
Amidst the flurry of leaping and lunging wolves, Alice suddenly froze, her gaze distant as if seeing something beyond the immediate present. Her eyes glazed over, and her hand moved with precision as she sketched something onto a piece of paper with a swift hand.
Jasper, who had been sparring with some of the wolves, noticed Alice's sudden stillness and approached her with a concerned expression. "Alice, what is it? What did you see?"
Alice didn't respond immediately, her focus locked onto the sketch she was creating. It was an image of a white wolf with nine tails, each one flowing gracefully behind it. The creature's ethereal beauty was captured in intricate detail.
Edward, always attuned to Alice's visions, joined them, his brows furrowing in curiosity. "Alice, what's going on? What did you see?"
Alice looked up from her sketch, her eyes wide with a mixture of wonder and uncertainty. "I saw something, someone, I'm not entirely sure," she admitted. "But they're coming to aid us."
Edward's expression shifted from concern to relief. "Good. We can use all the help we can get."
Paul, who had been listening in, couldn't hide his skepticism. "More vampires?" he grumbled.
Alice shook her head, her eyes fixed on her drawing. "Actually, it looks to be a shifter like you all."
Confusion rippled through the group until Alice displayed her sketch for them to see. The wolves gathered around, their eyes widening in disbelief.
Sam, the pack's alpha, gasped as he recognized the image. "The snowbound savior," he breathed, his voice filled with astonishment. "But she's just a legend."
Before anyone could respond, a powerful howl pierced the air, resonating through the forest. It was a howl that carried an undeniable presence, one that demanded attention and respect.
Jasper turned his head toward the sound, his eyes narrowing as he listened. "Guess not," he murmured, his voice tinged with intrigue and a touch of apprehension.
As the echoes of the howl faded into the distance, the wolves and the Cullens exchanged uncertain glances. The arrival of the snowbound savior, a figure of myth and legend, had suddenly become a tangible reality. The balance of power in the supernatural world was about to shift, and none of them knew exactly what to expect.
The ground beneath their feet trembled violently, and at first, the Cullens, along with Sam's pack, believed it to be a catastrophic earthquake. Trees swayed, and the very earth seemed to roar with anger. But what followed was beyond anything they could have imagined.
From out of nowhere, a colossal figure emerged, towering over the treetops, and causing everyone to gasp in astonishment. An 836-foot white wolf, with nine magnificent tails that swirled like a majestic blizzard, stood before them. The sheer size and beauty of the creature left them breathless, their hearts pounding with a mixture of awe and trepidation.
For a moment, the forest fell into a hushed stillness, as if nature itself held its breath in the presence of this enigmatic being. Then, as if guided by an unseen force, the colossal wolf began to shift, its form flowing like liquid moonlight.
In mere seconds, the towering wolf transformed into a striking woman, fully clothed and with long black hair that cascaded down to her hips. Her piercing eyes, as ancient as the earth itself, regarded the assembly with a mixture of wisdom and curiosity.
"I suppose you must all be the ones of whom nature speaks," she remarked, her voice carrying a melodious quality that resonated with power.
Carlisle, always the composed and gracious host, stepped forward. "I beg your pardon, but who are you?"
The woman offered a warm smile, one that seemed to hold the secrets of the universe. "I am (Y/N)," she introduced herself. "Nature has warned me of impending danger to this town and the nearby clan of wolf-shifters. It seems our paths were destined to intersect."
Edward, ever the communicator of the family, stepped forward to explain their situation. "A vampire named Victoria is planning an attack with a newborn army. They seek revenge because we killed her mate some time ago."
(Y/N) nodded with understanding, her gaze distant for a moment. "I sympathize with her loss, but I will not allow her to bring death into this town."
As the conversation unfolded, Jasper, who had been watching (Y/N) intently, felt a sensation he hadn't experienced in centuries. It was the undeniable pull of the mate bond, a force that tied him to this extraordinary woman. His gaze remained locked on her, and his heart raced with a newfound intensity. In that moment, he knew that (Y/N) was not only the snowbound savior but also the missing piece of his own existence.

‘Walker’s Jared Padalecki Shares a Look at What’s to Come in Season 4
Collider: You’re four seasons into this TV series now, which isn’t the 15 seasons that Supernatural was on the air, but it’s a very respectable amount of time.
JARED PADALECKI: Thank you so much. Hopefully, we’ll have 40 more. But Season 4 is certainly bizarre and amazing and incredible, and I’m grateful and flattered and love the journey these characters have gone through.
What are you loving about Season 4 and about the Cordell Walker of Season 4? What are you most enjoying about this point of the journey?
PADALECKI: With Supernatural, we would flip between maybe the big bad guy and then the problems at home or with the brothers. But in the case of Walker, we will go from big bad guy to family stuff to bad guy of the week to family stuff. Just like life is, it gets big sometimes and it gets small sometimes, but there’s always some issue. And so, what I love about Season 4 is having a serial killer out there that is from our past and that haunted us back then and is sure to haunt us again this season, as The Jackal does, and also, there’s so much drama at home. Cordell has a daughter who’s a freshman in college and a son who’s a senior in high school. Mom and dad are trying to figure out what to do. His brother is trying to figure out what to do. It’s just that feeling that we all get, as humans and as adults, where it feels like, “Can’t just one part of my life calm down?” And sure as hell, it never does.
It feels like this show was originally brought back to television because there was a real hole in this type of programming at that time, and I’m glad the series is still on because it still feels like it’s really needed in that space.
PADALECKI: Agreed. What’s funny is that I grew up in Texas. I grew up in San Antonio. I’ve lived in Austin for 15 years. I grew up watching Walker, Texas Ranger with Sir Chuck Norris, himself, so that was a part of my childhood. For those who’ve seen the original and seen ours, this is obviously a very different show. I’m certainly a fan of action movies and action shows and action books and action stories, but I found myself, after 15 years on Supernatural, which was very much based in family as well, wanting something that anybody of any age could watch. I wanted something that wasn’t just about cutting off vampires’ heads, or killing God or the devil and everything in between, but was more like, “How can we make this as realistic as possible to what’s going on right now, and what has gone on in the past, and what is sure to go on in the future?” The commentary is oftentimes about how people have seen the original and love the re-imagining that we Walker put together. But more often than not, I love that I’ve had parents come up to me and talk about how Walker, though the situation is different because he’s a widower, is going through life and trying to figure out his kids while they’re changing, and he has to go to work because he has a job. There’s something universal about that struggle and that experience that seems to have really communicated and landed with people, no matter what their job is and what their family situation is.
Is it challenging to make this series with a shortened episode count, or does it feel like you can really just pack more into every episode?
PADALECKI: I get both. There’s a quote I heard one time about actors and writers and directors and producers and whatnot, and they used it in the form of an actor. They said, “If you give an actor three years to prepare, it’ll take three years. If you give him three months to prepare, it’ll take three months. If you give him three days, it’ll take three days. If you give him three minutes, it’ll take three minutes.” It’s one of those things where life imitates art. We’ve found such wonderful stuff, and kudos to our great writing team for making it possible, but it feels very like life. It feels very much like Cordell’s life would be. You find out sooner than you would’ve hoped, “Hey, this is coming up,” or “You’ve gotta do this or that.” While it’s certainly been different, if you could give me 30 days to do an episode, it’ll have its challenges. If you give me one day to do an episode, it’ll have its challenges. I think that goes from top to bottom, cast and crew alike. We’ve had a great time. Because of cross-boarding some episodes, we might be doing episodes one and two, and even if a character is only in episode two, since we will shoot two together, I still get to catch up with that human being during the filming, which is wonderful.
You’re kicking off this season with a lot of storylines happening for these characters. He’s stepped up his romance, his daughter is not coping well with things, and there’s a serial killer. I love that there’s really this balance where you have the romance and there are some good things on the horizon for the family, but then there’s also the dark and deadly aspect of a serial killer. What sort of balance will we see this season between the light and the dark? Will we get to a point where things get more dark and more intense, as things play out with The Jackal?
PADALECKI: You certainly will. Given what happened with the strikes, over the last 12 months, it didn’t make sense to do a direct pickup after Season 3. So much time has passed between the end of Season 3 and when Season 4 will air that it just didn’t make a lot of sense for our viewers and our lovely and wonderful loyal watchers. Kale [Culley] just turned 18 in May, and he’s almost my size now. If we picked up Season 4, episode one, directly after Season 3, the final episode, it wouldn’t make sense. You’d be like, “Oh, I guess August grew four inches overnight.” Our writers were very aware of that and tried to make every bit of that as real and human as possible. We certainly do see, as characters and as viewers, how this Jackal that haunted Captain James and Ranger Walker back in the day, five years ago, still has a stranglehold on them, and just how deep and dark they go while trying to keep all the other plates spinning in the other aspects of their lives.
It’s certainly never great to keep secrets from people you care about, especially when they’re big secrets. And on a TV series, those secrets are bound to come out, and likely at the worst possible time.
PADALECKI: Yep, that’s what our sadistic writers try to do. Teasing, teasing, teasing. No, they do it in such a wonderful way. Going back to before even the pilot, one of the things that Anna Fricke and I talked about before we’d even staffed the room and cast the characters and hired the crew was that we want this to be as real as possible. Although in a different arena, with Walker being a Texas Ranger and a widow, we want this to have universal problems and issues that every person goes through on different scales as they navigate this life.
Jensen Ackles directed an episode of the series. Do you think he’ll do that again?
PADALECKI: I sure hope so. Now and always, I will work with Jensen, wherever, whenever. He’s obviously a busy man. He’s got a wife and three kids of his own. He’s here, there, and everywhere. He’s been in Toronto, he’s been in Vancouver, and he’s been in New Mexico. He’s a very busy guy. He and I see each other a lot, obviously, with Supernatural conventions, and we text often. He certainly is up for it. It’s just like life and like Cordell Walker, trying to figure out when things will work out.
Do you see yourself directing an episode?
PADALECKI: Not to speak for Jensen, but to try to speak for Jensen, directing is something that he was always really passionate about, and producing is something that I was always really passionate about. I have a deep respect for directors, and the door is not closed. If the opportunity arises and I think, “Man, I really wanna direct,” then I will. But over 24 years in the industry, I’ve worked with so many talented directors who deserve the episode more than I do. Obviously, as the executive producer and the guy in the poster, I could probably make a phone call and say, “Hey, I want an episode,” and they might say, “Okay, you get one.” That’s not what Jensen did.
From day one, he was like, “Hey, I wanna direct some day.” That’s not where I was. And so, I don’t wanna take an episode away from a really deserving, talented director. I really love my job as an actor and as a storyteller, and as an executive producer, I help guide the storyline and help in the casting and help with the editing. So, I’m a pretty happy cat right now, where I stand. I love that puzzle. The director puts the puzzle pieces together. I like getting the puzzle pieces and figuring out how they can work even better. I think a lot of artists go, “Hey, I wanna guide this.” For me, I love the puzzle of acting and scene breakdown and story breakdown, and just trying to figure out how to make what’s already great on the page and great on the set, even better if I can.
You and Jensen Ackles have both talked about having interest in a possible revival of Supernatural. Is that something you’ve seriously considered doing? Have you had any real conversations about that, or are you just having conversations about having conversations?
PADALECKI: It’s not that I have seriously considered doing it, my single answer is yes. It’s timing. It’s availability. Jensen and I feel so strongly about our show that we had for 15 years together that we don’t wanna just do it just to do it. We don’t wanna go, “Hey, I have two weeks off in June. Let’s go ahead and shoot 10 pages a day, just so we can have some more content.” If and when Supernatural comes back, it’s going to be a labor of love, and we’re gonna put every hour in to make sure that it’s as true to the cannon and to the fandom and to the story and to the characters as possible. So, my short answer is it’s not a consideration, the answer is yes. I just don’t know when I’m available. I don’t know when he’s available. But again, my answer is yes.
Have you thought about all the different possibilities of what it could be, as far as whether you’d do a shortened season, whether you’d want to do a movie, or if none of it works, whether you’d do an animated series?
PADALECKI: Yeah. Honest to God, I don’t think about the medium in which it would air. I think about the story that I care about. If Jensen and I talk about where we would like to see Sam and Dean appear on screens again, and we think, “Cool, we like this, and we like this arc, and we like this conclusion,” then let’s do it. If they make it into a movie, great. If they make it into a limited series, great. If they make it into a flip book that’s available on Amazon, great. But at this point in time, I feel so protective of Supernatural that if the story’s fine, then I don’t care how it gets into the world.
Eric Kripke has also always made it known that he’d love to have you on The Boys anytime you were available. Would you like to make an appearance over there? Have you actually spoken to him about that? Would you even want to be in that world?
PADALECKI: Yeah, he has reached out to me and my response to him 90% of the time is, “Dude, I’m 41 now with three kids. I’m not 25 and working out three hours a day. I know you’re going to fucking make me get naked, so give me a heads up. I’m in, but let me get a nutritionist and a trainer and get in the hyperbaric chamber for eight months before you make me show up.” But yeah, it would obviously be a lot of fun to see Kripke again and to work on that show, which is a great show that I’m a fan of.
It certainly seems like a little wild break of fun.
PADALECKI: A little wild? Have you seen the show?!
Yes, and I love it very much. But I also have a sick sense of humor.
PADALECKI: I do, too. I love watching it, but imagine putting yourself in it. I’ve got kids. My mom and dad are still alive. I’ve got grandparents that are alive. I don’t know how to just unplug their electricity when the show airs.

CW announces a reboot of Walker, Texas Ranger.
CW promises their show, 'Walker', will more politically correct and woke than the original.
CW constantly puts down original show, claiming theirs will be more than "a white guy kicking Mexicans".
CW's Walker releases. Second lead leaves after a season. Ratings continue to dwindle.
MFW CW's Walker is cancelled after 4 seasons, while the "old and problematic" Walker, Texas Ranger series lasted 9 seasons.

I need to get something off my chest that’s been plaguing me:
Hunter looks like Walker Texas Ranger (the original one played by Chuck Norris).
I’m so sorry, but I needed to speak my truth.

‘The Boys' Showrunner Wants a Jared Padalecki Cameo in Season 5
Tumblr media
Sam Winchester just might find himself taking on some corrupt superheroes.
Eric Kripke, showrunner and creator of The Boys TV series, revealed that he would love to have Jared Padalecki appear on the show's fifth season.  "I feel like I have to complete my game of Supernatural Pokémon and I have my one big one - very big one - left to catch," he quipped to Variety in a Thursday, May 23, interview
Padalecki, 41, who starred on The CW's Supernatural as Sam Winchester, would be in good company if he joined the Prime Video series. Fellow Supernatural alums Jensen Ackles and Jim Beaver have both appeared on The Boys, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been cast in an undetermined role for the upcoming fourth season. Kripke noted to Variety that he'd be open to having Padalecki come on even if it was just for "a single episode."
The Gilmore Girls star might have a chance to step into Kripke's universe following news that his current show, Walker, has been canceled. On Tuesday, May 21, Padalecki announced the end of the show via Instagram.
‘Supernatural' Cast: Where Are They Now?
"Howdy y'all. It is with a heavy heart that I share this news with you. #Walker will not be airing on #CW for a fifth season," the actor captioned a photo of his cowboy hat. "It's a tough piece of news to be sure, but we are SO thankful for the #WalkerFamily that has been built, both on set and off.
He added, "I will forever smile on the years I got to spend with the cast and crew and studio and network and fandom that made this all possible. Til we ride again."
Walker - a reboot of the 1990s drama Walker, Texas Ranger - premiered on The CW in January 2021 with Padalecki in the titular role as Cordell Walker. The Supernatural alum also served as the show's executive producer.
"I grew up watching Walker, Texas Ranger with Sir Chuck Norris, himself so that was a part of my childhood. For those who've seen the original and seen ours, this is obviously a very different show," he told Collider in an April interview. "I'm certainly a fan of action movies and action shows and action books and action stories, but I found myself, after 15 years on Supernatural, which was very much based in family as well, wanting something that anybody of any age could watch."
The Boys season 4 begins streaming on Prime Video Thursday, June 13.
The series finale of Walker airs on The CW Wednesday, June 26 at 8 p.m. ET.

These are all fics that have not escaped my drafts, not even for a single chapter. I can't provide links like the last poll series but I will provide a general summar below:
3x18 Stella Got Shot AU
Summary: What is says on the tin. Stella was the one that got shot in 3x18 instead of Witt and has to go to the hospital. I also put in that Sadie was somewhat involved in the how/why Witt was there in the first place but also included reasoning as to why she helped.
3x18 Micki Insert
Summary: Micki was invited to James' wedding and she couldn't say no. She meets Sadie and has a little talk with August about potentially joining the military. She also catches up with the Walkers and talks a little about what her plans for her future are.
WIndy Hoyt csa fic
Summary: After saving a White Dove from a customer who didn't understand the word 'no', an event from Hoyt's past is dredged up. He tries to shove it back down and ignore it but trauma doesn't work like that.
The kids got kidnapped too AU
Summary: Sharon was paid by Grey Flag to lure the kids into a trap. Stella falls for it and August goes down with her. Stella is placed into the cell Julia was in originally, right above Cordell and Liam. August is placed in another cell near where Julia was moved too. All four members of the Walker family suffer various levels of torture. They are able to escape but all is not well as August has a seizure during his debriefing and is rushed to the hospital. We learn that he's suffering from mild brain damage and Cordell, who now knows how they got kidnapped, blames Stella for the whole mess.
Stella/Sam/Dean
Summary: Stella's off at college and gets attacked by a monster- and subsequently saved by two attractive older guys. She's very grateful and offers them a drink that she's totally old enough to buy. Things escalate from there.
Cordell/Jessica
Summary: Cordell is called up to New York to consult on a case involving a gang he worked with in Texas. While there, he ends up saving socialite Jessica Whitly from being hit by a car and she takes him to dinner as thanks. she's enthralled by the younger, attractive Texas Ranger and takes him home. Cordell hs to return home the next morning, hastened by an awkward interaction with her children (only a few years younger than himself). Jessica finds he left his scarf behind and plans to deliver it in person.
Geri objects at Cordell/Emily wedding but it's just a dream
Summary: In which Geri objects at Cordell/Emily's wedding because of her feelings for Cordell and things go badly- but it was all just a dream
Jealous!Geri arranges for Emily's death AU
Summary: Emily gets the loving husband, the kids, the white pickets fence, the stable life, the dream.... And what does Geri get? Revenge. (I had a phase okay sue me)
August got Sadie pregnant and now there's drama
Summary: Fic I'm collaborating with @theladywyn on. In which August and Sadie have a FBW-type relationship (because they don't talk about their feelings) and Sadie ends up getting pregnant. But also Sadie is arrested because of her involvement with Witt and his friends and she gives birth in prison. August deals with fatherhood at 17 and trying to juggle his new responsibilities as well as his old ones. A lot of pressure is put on both of them to do the Right Thing regarding their relationship and the family. There's a lot going on and there's much angst but there's a fluffy epilogue so there
Micki and Cassie being friends
Summary: Micki and Cassie meet at a bar and Cassie ends up spilling some of the bullshit Cordell and Trey and James have put her through in season 3. Micki is not happy to hear about this and insists on rounding them up to give them a tongue-lashing.

can you tell something more about cowboy/southern!eddie/reader, it looks interesting!
have a great day/night ☀️
Yes! Omg
Ok so cowboy/southern Eddie is about Eddie who’s originally from the south, I’m thinking Shreveport, Louisiana because it’s closer to Dallas. Before wayne took Eddie in, he was in junior rodeo and did the rodeo circuit in the Midwest with his mom before she passed. The Munson name is Linda big in the scene too. So when him and wayne take reader to visit his moms family back home, you see all his memorabilia and he tries on his old gear for you and ya know 🤭😈
I think it could def be a series. Maybe have some walker Texas ranger flashbacks where reader is a saloon girl. Or zorro eddie 🥵

Jared Saturday Solo Panel JIB11
We start with a fan letting him know that they love the music on Walker (same!) and that they like this vers more than the original Walker, Texas Ranger. Jared says thank you, that he's not the person who picks the music for the show but thank you in their behalf, and that it was an interesting kind of transition from Sam to Walker that he had many months during the pandemic because when Jensen and he were send home from Van for the pandemic he already knew basically the entire last episode and a half which they had left to film of SPN and so he was able to work for like 5 months trying to figure out the character of Cordell Walker. He also says that a lot of what he does on Walker he wouldn't have been comfortable doing before working with Jensen (💕). That seeing Jensen kind of have fun with scenes and kinda make it his own, he really kinda took notes of that subconsciously and now he's just having a good time and he hopes he gets to keep doing it. x
Is there any difference between how he gets into the role of Walker and how he used to get into the role of Sam? Logistically, no. He has an idea of who Cordell Walker is and he had a pretty decent idea of who Sam is, he feels like in a couple of days time he could easily get back into Sam that he could do Sam right now. His method is kind of the same, it's remained the same since he was the og Dean on Gilmore Girls, but he just kinda reads it, lets it swim around and then he gets to set and throws it all away and sees what works. So in general he'll read a script many times in a row and then on the day he's filming those scenes he'll just work on those scenes, and then somedays he'll get to set and they're supposed to shoot a scene where they're walking down the street and in your head you'll like plan it out but then you get to the location where you're filming and you realize that you're not walking that far- that he feels like if we were to grab the script for any of the Walker episodes and then watch the episode there's a lot of words and lines that we wouldn't see. That they just kinda bob and weave and flow so that's been really nice to do but otherwise it's been very similar. x
If Sam had died what would have been his goodbye speech to Dean?
He thinks Sam's speech to Dean would have been a combination of what he said to Dean in Fresh Blood, what he said to him in Sacrifice, and what he said to him in Prophet and Loss kind of a combination of those three but he thinks Sam would have also said to Dean, even if Sam was the one who was gonna bleed out and die, he would have said "it's okay, you can go". He thinks Sam knew, and might know again, that Dean wouldn't have lived a long life without him, in his opinion, he thinks Dean was around keeping his brother safe and Dean knew that he wanted to be there for Sam and he also knew that Sam had something else other than hunting that he was destined to do. He shares that when he, Jeremy Carver, Bob Singer, and Jensen sat down together before s15 and talked about the finale in his head Sam was going to be the one to die. That that's it's own tragedy where Dean brought his brother back to hunt and be part of the life, and he thought it would be so interesting to see Dean have to cope with the idea that Sam died because Dean brought him back into the life. When he says this the audience reacts and sadly goes awww and he sees he wants to see it, that maybe we will. He thinks Sam would have tried to make sure "hey dude I know you've been here for me sacrificed a lot for me when you need to go just go i'll be waiting for you" 😭
Real quick, some of you will have noticed the Jeremy Carver mention. That's not a mistake on my part! That's what Jared said. Can't blame him, Carver wasn't perfect but I too wish it had been him with us at the end instead of Dabb. x
Any plans to make Walker and Walker Independence available on tv outside of the US? The short answer is hell yes, the shorter answer is he has zero votes on that executive producer or not. He would love for it to be available everywhere he thinks Windy is such a beautiful show and he's obviously so proud of Walker and he's done so much work on it, he says he actually tried the previous night when he got back from dinner to re-watch the latest episodes cause his body was at like 2pm Texas time and he had watched the eps live but it was in the airport lounge in Atlanta, but it wouldn't let him watch it cause he's in Italy. Get a VPN my boy!
That if he knew who to call he would call them, write them a long letter. x
If Sam and Dean were to go completely solo hunting during the course of SPN who would make it closest to s15? Dean was more run and gun style, Sam was more let me try and research and figure out the best way to approach this style, and Sam had to be possessed by Meg, be possessed by Lucifer, by Gadreel/Ezekiel. And Dean got killed by rebar that didn't move. 😂 Sam. x
What was the hardest emotional scene for him to shoot on Walker?
He thinks it was s1 episode 9 the flashback of Captain James pulling back the sheet off of dead Emily. Steve Robin who directed it wouldn't let him see G once her makeup was done and so he made the whole crew get quiet and they had like a minimal skeleton crew they call it, so the first time Jared saw G was that first take and Coby Bell broke and Odette Annabelle broke down in tears, and he was a wreck. That was hard, that it sucked and it was tough. Sure, I believe you buddy.....🤨 x
If he was a professional wrestler what would be his ring name?
He starts to answer Moose but there's actually already a professional wrestler called that! When the fan informs him of this he says 'fuck him' 😂 And when the fan asks if he thinks he could beat him in a fight that this wrestler is a pretty big dude (I looked him up out of curiosity he is big) he says "did you not just hear? I beat Lucifer and God" 😂 There are some Polish fans in the crowd so he asks him how you say Moose in Polish, and then how to say killer in Polish and that's what he goes with; I don't know nearly enough about the Polish language to even attempt to write those two words so y'all are just gonna have to watch the moment.
edit: Shoutout to @marriedchesters for the help with the Polish! Moose is łoś and killer is zabójca.
There's a second part to this question and it's what would be his entrance song. He says before he tore his knee up he was kind of getting back into doing back work and stuff and there's a song from Deadpool, which he confesses he has never seen, but the song Welcome to the Party would be his entrance song. That would make a great entrance song! x
When he found out Sam would kill Rowena was he hoping it'd be the same way he killed Madison? Basically hooking up with her before having to kill her.
Jared says anybody who has had the pleasure of meeting Ruthie loves her, he certainly loves and adores her both as a human being and as a fellow actor so when he read that script that was a though one, and they were at the time in the series when they were kind killing people off and saying goodbye to them and it all sucked. He feels it was appropriately intimate, he thinks it was the right way to do it cause it felt like a connection and he wouldn't have written it any other way. x
As a tallish guy, out of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs which of the dwarfs would he be and which would Sam be? He'd be Dopey, and Sam would be Grumpy. x
In the episode Bad Day at Black Rock, there's a scene where Sam falls down, did Jared really hurt his knees when he did that scene? The short answer is no, he didn't hurt his knees. The long answer is there was a stunt pad out of camera, and if you watch the shot you can tell where it is cause it was really big. x
Did they know why Poughkeepsie was such an important word to Sam and Dean, or did they come up with a reason or backstory in their head? It originally came from Bob Singer, and then the second time when he says Poughkeepsie to Dean it was not in the script but he thought it would be a cool thing to add. He says the nerd in him thought it would be the perfect time to close the loop and that a lot of the stuff he does now on Walker and Windy as a producer but also even during SPN, some of the things he likes doing, like the bits during the barn scene of "i cant do this alone" "yes you can""well i don't want to" that was not scripted it was just something he wanted to add, it was a great way to close the circle. He doesn't love acting what he loves is storytelling and stories so he thinks as somebody who enjoyes stories that just seems like pieces of the puzle that final feeling like when you're figuring out where the last pieces of a puzzle go. He loves that feeling and his middle child, Shep, is the same way with Legos or puzzles he'll spend days or weeks buidling this puzzle and then he'll want them to see it and then he'll break it down and Jared was the same way as a child and he continues to be like that he wants to figure it out and then do something else. x
If he were to be on The Boys would he be a part of the boys or the Seven and would he kick Soldier Boy's ass or help him? He doesn't know if he would want to fight Soldier Boy he was mean. He and Kripke have talked a little bit about how he could do it but right now it's not practical logistically. He'd love to be on the show, he'd have to call his mom and tell her not to watch, but he'd love to do it and he thinks it would be fun to link up with Soldier Boy and kind of solve something together. He'd have to be one of the sups. The number of things that I would be willing to do to make this happen!!! x
Who wears the Gucci jacket best? He'd say it's him. He doesn't believe he's ever owned a Gucci jacket and he doesn't know what took him so long. x
How hard was it for him to not draw from Sam when shooting the cage scenes in the beginning of this season of Walker? The thought absolutely crossed his mind. In a weird way he feels like Cordell Walker almost has a bit more of a fuck you attitude than Sam, Walker has a bit of Dean in him of like bring it where as Sam was very much almost academic. Sam is defiant but he's thinking all along about what would be the intelligent way to get out of there, Cordell is a bit more 'well, I guess this is it' but then they bring Liam into the cage, pretty similar to Dean and Sam in the cage- on a personal note that cage was real metal. Often when you see cages it's a lot of firm styrofoam that has been made to look like old iron but this was just iron and concrete and it sucked, and since he was wearing shorts and a thin shirt he couldn't wear pads and that's when he tore his ACL. x
This is so cool! The next fan used to be a handler for Chuck Norris and she told him how well Walker was doing and he asked her to pass along the message that he was so proud! Jared shares that he was invited once to be a part of a con that Chuck Norris was attending but he was out of town so he's still never met the guy. That it's fun to follow in footsteps but also pave your own way so that means a lot. x
What kind of plotlines would he like to see happen in an SPN reboot? There are a lot in his head. He thinks he has expressed how much he would love to that sometime but he feels so protective of what he and Jensen did with SPN and those characters that he feels like he and Jensen would need to have the heaviest hands in the storylines. They never did, they were never producers on SPN, much less EP's. They behaved like producers, however, he really feels like he has some strong toughts on the best way to do it and they have talked about it and shared ideas. He wouldn't want it to be a movie, he would want it to be a 6 to 8 ep, maybe hour and a half, reboot. And he doesn't think that it would be complete without C (yes, it would be) and without Jack, and so many of the beloved characters they had especially towards the end where it would more sense to jump back in. x
What's a lesson he's gotten from a movie that's important to him? The fan mentioned the Lion King and it makes him think about how he wrote his senior graduation English paper on the Lion King, working in Joseph Campbell's Hero's, Myths, and Legends and all the archetypes, and then got to portray a lot of those with SPN.
His senior advanced English placement paper was comparing the Lion King and the Natural with Robert Redford, and talking about the different use of archetypes and the different kind of genres and so he thinks he really loves the classic archetypes in stories, the classic tropes and different takes on them and so he finds himself drawn to stories that have an inherent juxtaposition like the friendly beast, the chewbacca that's scary or the Timon and Pumba that are strange. He thinks he's learned from some of those movies and from some kids movies; he thinks kids movies are very simplistic at their core because they deal with things- and he imagines that people who create and produce kids movies and kid tv shows they understand that certain storylines work like the bully who ends up being a nice guy, or the nerd that ends up being the hero, he thinks humans are all drawn to those tropes so he has learned a lot but now he has to go back and watch and make some notes. x
What aspect of Sam's personality was hardest to act? A lot of Sam came pretty naturally to him and he thinks that's a credit to their writers, he can't tell how many times in the final like 10 seasons of SPN it'd have Sam and Dean show up to a person's house and be like 'hey we wanna ask you about your deceased person' and Sam does his puppy dog eyes but he thinks that's kind of who he is; he thinks it was Sam's version of comedy because he doesn't think Sam was a really funny guy, he just had some funny moments. He thinks Cordell Walker's version of comedy is very similar to his but he thinks Sam's version of comedy was difficult for him to find and maybe that was correct because he doesn't think Sam thought of himself as a funny person kinda more just funny in the moment. So that's probably it. And he once again mentions how nerve racking French Mistake was for him due to the comedy. x
Final question! What his favorite thing about Walker's personality and about Sam's personality? His favorite about Sam's personality was his long game mentality, he kinda helped teach Jared patience. He won't claim he's the most patient person on the planet, he thinks he's allright but Sam always wanted to do things right, to do things the correct way and he was willing to put in the work before attempting so that he wouldn't mess up. His favorite part of Cordell's personality is his sense of humor. He's very similar to himself, he's kind of a goofball and doesn't take himself seriously. Not that Sam took himself seriously, he was dealing with much more serious situations but he loves how Cordell doesn't seem to take himself seriously that it's been fun and it's been a lesson in itself. x

8 days ago, I was lucky enough to go to my second Comic-Con in Houston. I got to make new friends and talk to a few guests. The first one was Malie Flanagan, who was very surprised and grateful when I gave her my picture honoring one of her late friends and co-stars from Jakers! (one of my favorite childhood shows) https://www.deviantart.com/nostalgialover808/art/For-Mrs-Russi-812815441
Next I met Mario and Luigi's original VA who even though couldn't keep in touch with me due to having an actual home in the Netherlands (which I admit, I highly respect this guy's way of knowing how to keep a low profile), did promise he'd try to remember to mention me when it comes to Nintendo (and Illumination) finally being ready to make a sequel to the Super Mario Bros. Movie since I actually got to show him my accounts. Finally, because I had promised a neighbor (who's a huge Walker, Texas Ranger fan) I'd get his autograph, I got to talk with Chuck Norris himself, and was the last one to recieve his signature just as he was leaving his booth.
The only downer at Collect-A-Con was missing my chance to talk to Tara Strong (especially when she unexpectly opted out on her own panel). But hopefully, I'll get another chance in 2024.
Please leave a comment below if any of you guys were also lucky enough to attend this event. I don't own the rights to any of these characters.

Hi again! :) I just started to watch Scooby Doo and Guess Who today, and I love the concept of introducing celebs. I love it because its not new, it's a callback to the og episodes with sonny and Cher, and batman!
If the show hadn't been cancelled, who would you want to guest star? (I watched a clip of the gang meeting their voice actors and it made my day, I was feeling down. I only thought they would meet frank welker too so it was a really nice surprise!)
