Another Yellow-crowned Night-Heron but I finally saw a mature one! It’s so cool the difference in feathers between the various ages and times of year for birds, from soft and fluffy, to textured, to sleek, dull, or colorful!! I had to go to Florida for work, but of course it turned into a long weekend.

The photos are from a Boat ride through Wakulla Springs.  It was a beautiful day with zero clouds in the sky but… the sky would have been better with clouds for pictures sake. Well, some shade would have been nice, but who am I to complain about a great day?!

I tuned all of these upside down because I think they look more interesting. Could it be the cocktails talking? Maybe… but eh, tomato, to-mato it’s better this way.

Highlight of the day was seeing our first #manatee ever! It’s a #mammal a bit like an otter, a seal or a dugong (which I’ve never seen). Such amazing prehistoric looking animals.
