It's time to get funky with a brand new AMV release, Dance Intermission 3! I'm sure fans of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will recognize this song very quickly.

If you see this video at an anime convention, the version used there has 2 curse words removed. The 2 words aren't really strong, but I decided to be safe and remove them since some contests have more strict rules than others. This version uses the original unedited version of the song.

Okko’s Inn

After losing her parents, a young girl learns about grief and healing from a friendly ghost who lives in her grandmother's traditional Japanese inn.

After losing her parents in a car accident, Okko goes to live in the countryside with her grandmother, who runs a traditional Japanese inn built on top of an ancient spring said to have healing waters. While she goes about her chores and prepares to become the inn's next caretaker, Okko discovers there are ghosts who live there that only she can see – not scary ghosts, but playful child ghosts who keep her company and help her feel less lonely. Ghosts, who share connections with those around her in a way she’d never imagined. 

Even though it’s a small inn, her grandmother takes pride its reputation for welcoming all and rejecting none. This attracts all sorts of problematic customers that pushes Okko’s patience to the limit but she takes them as a challenge to satisfy them, putting their needs before her own pride, earning the admiration and respect of the customers, which results in the customer leaving a different person altogether becoming a better person, as if the the inn has indeed a healing ability to those who are lost, angry, sad and confused, thanks to Okko.

Ultimately, it is also a test for Okko as she learns to slowly make peace with her tragic past in letting go of her parents whom she loved dearly in order to honor them and work hard for those who are still living such as her grandmother, her new friends she met throughout her time at the inn, strangers and rivals, ghosts and demons alike becoming friends with her, changing her life in making her into a stronger person and knowing when to take care of herself.

It’s a beautiful and heartwarming anime which started out with a tragedy, followed by all sorts of challenges that will make you angry, leave you in tears watching her crying over her dead parents whom she still misses everyday and suffering panic attacks every time she thinks about the accident, how she distract herself with work but makes you smile seeing her making new friends and having a good time as every child should, carefree and happy.

Bonjour !

Oui, je suis bien revenu de Jonetsu Ⅳ (même si le voyage de retour ne s’est pas passé sans une embûche au dernier moment…). Pour ceux qui n’y étaient pas et qui veulent avoir un aperçu de ce qui s’y est passé, voici mes photos de ce week-end-là (licence CC-BY).

Sur ce, passons à ce qui vaut la création de ce billet ! Côté mangas, ce loot sera placé sous le signe du nombre 21, car ce sont ainsi les tomes 21 respectifs de To Aru Majutsu no Index et Yamada-kun & the 7 Witches (plus que 7 tomes !!!) qui rejoignent ma collection (que j’écoule vraiment lentement…).

Côté Blu-ray, c’est celui du (magnifique !) film Okko et les fantômes, pour lequel je n’ai pas tari d’éloges en étant allé le voir en septembre dernier (avant même la sortie au Japon, ce qui m’a un peu embêté quand il s’est agi de le noter sur MyAnimeList, le site refusant d’admettre que j’avais pu voir un film pas encore sorti au Pays du Soleil Levant). Et il ne vient pas seul ! En effet, l’édition collector de ce film, si elle doit se contenter d’un bonus, en a un, et non des moindres : la version série TV de la même histoire (qui, à ce jour pour la France, reste donc spécifique à cette édition collector Blu-ray) ! On a connu pire (ah, Déclic Images et ses coffrets DVD qui ne proposaient au mieux que des génériques de leurs autres titres, c’était quand même une autre histoire, il y a 15 ans !) !

Voilà, c’est tout pour l’instant, car le tome 2 de Le dilemme de Toki arrivera plus tard. Heureusement que je ne suis pas pressé…

Locandina e nuovo teaser di “Waka Okami wa Shougakusei!“

La pellicola racconterà una storia inedita, mai trattata nel romanzo e nella serie tv.

Pubblicati una locandina ed un nuovo teaser trailer per “Wakaokami wa Shougakusei!”, pellicola che racconterà una storia inedita su Okko e i suoi genitori, mai accennata nella serie tv attualmente in onda e nell’originale romanzo per bambini di Hiroko Reijou e Asami.

il film sarà presentato in anteprima con il titolo “Okko’s Inn” in occasione del Festival internazionale del film d'animazione di Annecy che si terrà a giugno. In Giappone debutterà nelle sale a settembre. 

Kitaro Kousaka, che ha realizzato l’illustrazione per la locandina, dirigerà il progetto presso DLE e Madhouse, seguendo la sceneggiatura scritta da Reiko Yoshida (K-ON!, Girls und Panzer).
