This anime is by far my favourite of the season. Scrap that - of the year so far! I am absolutely in love with this fuzzy, warm and absolutely hilarious anime~

Upon the completion of episode 1, I went onto tumblr straight away to share this warm fuzzy feel with fellow fans... but alas! almost nothing aside from screenshots and gifs. No analysis! No thoughts! No opinions! Nothing! How very disappointing. So I just wanted to tell the world how much I adore this anime. A giant cat that does all the household chores, cooking, cleaning, sewing, grocery shopping. Hell the cat doesn't even talk! And you get a cute floof ball to cuddle when the weather goes cold. This should be reality. Just saying.

And....

Is no one going to talk about the adorkable relationship between Saku and her gorgeous boss??!?!?!?!?! No? Just me? Alright then...just me and my feels...

This anime just ticks all the boxes for me. Slice of life, cat, beer, adult life, a bit of romance, a gorgeous love interest and food...lots and lots of food...

So now who wants to ride a long this wild fluffy ride with me? I binged read the manga afterwards and my heart just soared to new heights ~~

John’s Glasses

request:  #9 for the otp prompt thing with george and ringo? i think it would be cute if they broke something of johns or pauls and theyre freaking out about it xx.

a/n: this is my first request that I have written and it was a lot of fun! please send more in and I really hope you like it! the prompt is in bold. sorry if there are any typos.

pairing: George x Ringo (Platonic) There’s a little Paul and a smudge of John too.

Ringo wandered into the intermittent room between his and George’s room and John and Paul’s room tiredly. The room served as a type of living room for the boys during their time in New York and usually one of the four Beatles could be found there strumming a guitar, plucking away on a bass, or drumming against the coffee table. Today when Ringo shuffled into the room he found George picking his guitar and trying to find a melody. On the coffee table, sitting next to George’s feet which also rested upon the table, were John’s glasses. 

Ringo sat down on the cushion next to George and smiled. “Hullo Ritchie,” George nodded but continued to focus on his guitar. 

“Hi Geo,” Ringo greeted in response. The drummer leaned forward and plucked Johns glasses off of the table delicately. He held them up to the light and scrunched up his face in disgust at the sight. The glasses were smudged by greasy finger prints and dirt looked as though it was sprinkled across the lenses. “George, look at this!” 

“What?” 

“Look at John’s glasses.” 

George looked up from his guitar and squinted his eyes as he looked at John’s glasses which Ringo had held up to the light. “We should clean them for John,” Ringo suggested. George shook his head vigorously. “What-why not?” Ringo asked. Everyone knew that Ringo had a kind heart. He would always look to help a friend or even a stranger. That was just who Ringo was. And George knew that, but he also knew that this idea wasn’t the best one. 

“Your mad! We could break ‘em or somethin’. John would have our heads!” George exclaimed and leaned over the arm of the couch and set his guitar down gingerly in its case. He looked back at Ringo. 

“Oh come on Geo! Imagine how happy John would be the next time he puts on his glasses and sees clearly,” Ringo pleaded with George who snorted in response. 

“John happy whilst wearing his glasses? I think not,” George said. 

Ringo looked at George with pleading eyes. “Please George? I really think he’d like it.” 

“Why are you askin’ me? If you want to clean ‘em, then do it,” George shrugged and sunk back into the couch, crossing his arms in the process.  

Ringo bit the inside of his cheek, his original reason was so that if they did end up doing something bad to the glasses accidentally, they could both take the heat from John. But he knew he had to say something different than that or else George would never help him. “I can’t. I need you to clean ‘em. Y’know how clumsy I am. I’d break the glasses somehow, but yer not! You could clean ‘em easily.”

George rolled his eyes. Ringo wasn’t going to give up on this and he knew it. “Fine.” Ringo grinned and handed the glasses to George. The guitarist leaned over the arm of the couch again and grabbed one of the cloths he used to clean guitar with. He stood up and carefully brought the glasses into the bathroom and wet the cloth. George cleaned the glasses gingerly. When he was done and dried them he glanced up into the mirror to see Ringo leaned up against the door frame watching him. “Fuckin’ hell Ringo!” George shouted, quite startled, and dropped the glasses. Ringo moved into the bathroom.

“Sorry! I thought you knew I was...” Ringo looked at the ground to see the glasses with one lens cracked, “here.”

“Uh-oh,” George stared wide eyed at the broken glasses.

Ringo pointed at the glasses. “You broke them!” He gasped.

“No-this is your fault!” George pointed an accusatory finger at Ringo.

“John’s going to kill you!” Ringo exclaimed and backed away ever so slightly.

George looked at Ringo incredulously. “Don’t you step away, this was your idea jackass!” He picked up the glasses and shoved them towards Ringo. “Take ‘em!”

“No!”

The pair stopped and stared at each other in fear as they heard the door to the main in-between room creak open and two people walk in. “Lads, we’re back from our interview!” Paul shouted then said something to John about using the toilet. 

“Shit,” George muttered. They were trapped. Paul sauntered into the bathroom and stopped dead in his tracks when he saw George standing there, holding John’s broken glasses and scowling at Ringo who would glance at glasses every few seconds and wince before looking up at George apologetically. 

“Oh you���ve got to be jokin’,” Paul said, exasperated, then looked between his band mates incredulously. “Seriously? Out of all the things you lot could have broken of mine, you decided instead to break John’s fucking glasses?” Paul whispered angrily. 

Ringo pointed to George quickly. “George broke them!”

“It was his idea,” George snapped back. “Oh la-di-da! Let’s be nice to John and clean his fucking glasses, but wait, I can’t clean them ‘cause I’m so clumsy. So why don’t you clean ‘em George! Then I’ll stand in the door way and scare the livin’ shite out of you!” George mocked Ringo who glared at him in response. 

“Alright, enough,” Paul snapped. “We can tell Eppy, he can give us a new pair quickly, and John will never know. Got it?” George and Ringo nodded solemnly. “Everything will be fine, John’s not going to find out. Now for the love of god apologize to one another, you’ve been acting like children.” The pair grumbled out of irritation but Ringo was the first to actually apologize. 

“I’m sorry George, I shouldn’t have made you clean the glasses,” Ringo said and looked George in the eye. Paul was right about them acting like children, and Ringo was to be damned if he apologized like one.

George sighed. “’S alright. I’m sorry for breakin’ ‘em. You just scared me ‘s all.” 

“It’s okay,” Ringo beamed at George who smiled in response. 

“Right then,” Paul said. “I’ll phone Eppy. Hide the glasses somewhere, yeah?” The pair nodded. 

Suddenly, footsteps were heard by the three Beatles. They froze, unsure of what to do as they heard John walking towards them. “What’s all the commotion in the toilet? Is there a party going on in here?” John asked and he turned the corner to see his mates standing there wide eyed. John squinted to try and see what George held in his hands and his jaw dropped. 

“ARE THOSE MY GLASSES?”

A5. Are they good at handling change in their life?

Eden - He likes to know in advance that change is coming so he can tackle it.Jude - He’s flexible and adaptable, he tends to face everything head on!Leyton - Not particularly.Alba - She’s a free spirit, change is the status quo!Eppie - Not really, but she does come to grips with it.

A7. Is your OC confident in their reactions to life in general, or do they get embarrassed or easily shamed for it? I.e., if something startles them, do they insist it WAS scary? When they cry, do they feel like they overreacted?

Eden - Eden is a nervy person, so he will overreact and then try to justify it to anyone who might have seen.Jude - You can’t really shake Jude, he’s confident in whatever happens.Leyton - Leyton isn’t easily startled or anything - actually he doesn’t normally react at all.Alba - She is another to get a fright and then go out of her way to justify!Eppie - Is pretty hardy, she’s gone through so much that it won’t bother her!

B1. Do they believe you have to give respect to get it, or get respect to give it?

Eden - Eden would give respect irregardless of whether he got it back.Jude - Utterly believes that you have to give respect to get it, including with children. Leyton - Demands respect, and believes others deserve it unless they’ve negated it. Alba - Doesn’t really give a damn anyway...Eppie - Respect is something that you earn if you deserve it!

B5. Do they hold doors open for people?

Eden - He so does, to the point he’s holding it for like 10 minutes!Jude - He does too. Leyton - No.Alba - She does occasionally!Eppie - She does too.

B7. How do they respond to babies crying in public?

Eden - He’s not particularly bothered.Jude - He tends to try and make faces to cheer those babies up (if he can see them)Leyton - It really frustrates him!Alba - Most of the time it doesn’t bother her, although if the parent is blatantly ignoring the child she gets all antsy.Eppie - She doesn’t deal. At all.

C1. Does your OC have a moral code? If not, how do they base their actions? If so, where does it come from, and how seriously do they take it?

Eden - He does - and it’s primarily biblical.Jude - Jude goes with treat others how you’d like to be treated.Leyton - His moral code is based on protection of his family. Alba - She doesn’t really have any kind of strict moral code...Eppie - She threw her idea about moral obligations out the window when her family kicked her out. 

C5. Do your OC’s morals and rules of common decency go out the window when it comes to those they don’t like, or when it’s inconvenient? Aka, are their morals situational?

Eden - No, he sticks to his guns. Jude - Jude will reluctantly continue to be nice. Leyton - He doesn’t tend to notice if people don’t like him, and he has no time for those he doesn’t like.Alba - Oh yes, she can be a bit bitchy!Eppie - She gives as good as she gets, if someone’s horrid to her she’ll pay back in kind! 

C7. Do they believe people change over time? If so, is it a natural process or does it take effort? 

Eden - He believes everyone changes, and that it can be very hard to do so...Jude - Jude acknowledges that with age, wisdom changes and different things matter.Leyton - He doesn’t really - apart from people increase in learning.Alba - She thinks people change, but it’s more to do with what they want...Eppie - No. 

D1. How religious is your OC? What do they practice, if anything? If they don’t associate with any religion, what do they think of religion in general?

Eden - He’s got a very strong faith. I’m not entirely sure he’d call it religion, but he’s presbyterian and it affects every part of his life. Jude - He isn’t religious, but he’d like to think there’s something. Him and Eden have lots of conversations.Leyton - His family is pentecostal, and it was a big part of life when he lived at home. It’s community based!Alba - She doesn’t really have any faith - she believes that this life is what matters and she has to live to the full. Eppie - Eppie also has a lot of questions, but she doesn’t really have any involvement in religion and doesn’t particularly want to. 

D5. Do they believe in ghosts? If not, why? If so, do they think they’re magical/tie into their religion, or are they scientifically plausible?

Eden - No. He believes that once you die you go straight to judgement, there’s no stopovers on earth.Jude - He doesn’t really believe in ghosts either.Leyton - He believes in spirits - now the manifestations of these can come in the form of ghosts, but they are predominantly benevolent. Alba - Yes, she believes in ghosts. Eppie - No. 

E1. Would you say that your OC is intelligent? In what ways? Would your OC agree?

Eden - Eden is very intelligent, he’s logical and organised with a dash of creativity. He wouldn’t agree at all, he feels like he’s got very average intelligence, but a lot of that is down to his anxiety.Jude - Jude is clever, he’s a hard worker when it comes to his studies, and he’s very practically aligned like that. He’s always known that passing on knowledge is the best use of his brains and talents. Leyton - Leyton is clever, but most of all he is a diligent hard worker. He knows what he wants and he goes like hell for it. Alba - Alba’s not overly intelligent, but she’s empathetic and she’s very good at demonstrating and passing on worldly wisdom. Eppie - She is intelligent, but she doesn’t believe in herself.

E5. What’s their highest education level? Do they want to continue their education?

Eden - He’s currently studying a Bachelor of Science - he really doesn’t know what he wants to do next...Jude - He’s studying a Masters of Education, he’ll probably stop formal education after it, but teachers engage in continual professional development...Leyton - He’s studying a Masters in Law, and he wants to go on and do his postgraduate in commercial law. Alba - Essentially the same as Jude! Eppie - She’s studying a Bachelor of Science like Eden, but she’d love to go on to do a PhD in hormone replacement therapies. 

E7. Are they a good note-taker? Are they a good test-taker? Do exams make them nervous?

Eden - Eden is the one you want notes from if you’ve been off - but he does get horrendously nervous in exams. Jude - Jude’s a bit more scattered when it comes to notes - he tends to be a mind mapper. He’s also eternally grateful that he no longer has to do exams!Leyton - He’s a meticulous note taker, he’s thorough and diligent, and is confident in exams.Alba - She’s not bad as a notetaker, but she tends to wing things tbh...Eppie - She’s pretty good at taking notes, but she lets everything go to the last wire in revision and ends up stressing herself out before exams. 

F1. What sort of home do they live in now, if at all? How did they end up there?

They’re all currently in student flats!

F5. How handy are they? Can they fix appliances, cars, cabinets, et cetera?

Eden - Pretty useless to be honest!Jude - He can change a lightbulb, but that’s about it!Leyton - He’s very DIY inside the house - he had to be when he was the man of the house!Alba - Ahahahahahahahahahahaha useless!Eppie - Eppie is very good! She can change a tyre, she can rewire a plug, she’s pretty handy!

F7. What’s their “dream career” or job situation?

Eden - He’s not quite figured that out yet... he’s kind of waiting to see what might happen!Jude - Teacher!Leyton - Lawyer!Alba - Honestly? Overseas charity worker!Eppie -  Research scientist for a pharmeceutical company!

G1. Is your OC close to their family?

Eden - Yes, like insanely closeJude - Relatively close yes.Leyton - In some ways yes, he wants to protect them, but he’s not insanely emotionally closeAlba - Not really no - she’s quite independent. Eppie - Fuck no. 

G5. Did they go through any typical phases growing up?

Eden - He was into pokemon when he was a kid, but actually that was about it!Jude - Most of the phases Jude went through were mimicking Damian! Leyton - Also no..Alba - She wanted to be a witch for the longest of time whilst a teenager, does that count?Eppie - Well... apart from the obvious, no...

G7. Do they have any childhood memories they’d rather forget or be less affected by?

Eden - All his childhood memories are pretty happy!Jude - Equally, Jude’s never really had anything that’d he’d like to be less affected by.Leyton - The death of his father... he had to grow up really really fast cause of it.Alba - Also, nothing really...Eppie - Pfft, practically her whole childhood!

H1. What is your OC’s orientation, romantic and/or sexual? Has it ever been a source of stress for them? Have they always been pretty sure of their orientation?

Eden - He’s bisexual. He realised this at about 14 (mainly cause he fell in love with Jude), and he did struggle a bit with the whole faith thing initially but since then he’s been pretty certain in himself. Jude - Realised he was gay at 12, and since then he’s been firm in who he loves and who he is. Leyton - Straight and knows it and is good.Alba - Also straight, although she’s had a few sexual trysts with women while she was abroad and generally drunk..Eppie - She thought she was gay from about 8 upwards, but at 13 began to understand what transgender was and she knew she was trans and straight. Essentially her whole life went to fuck when she voiced this to her family, but she knew she had to be true to herself.

Eden - Jude!Jude - Essentially Eden... but it was mainly the loyalty and empathy that he looked for. Leyton - Someone who is on a par intelligence wise with him, someone who understands his motivation behind working hard.Alba - To be honest, she used to go for the free spirit, the ones who basically had no plans for tomorrow and were super spontaneous, then she met Leyton and he’s not that at all... but somehow he fits, he keeps her grounded. Eppie - She’s not really

Eden - Sour!Jude - He has the most ridiculous sweet tooth!Leyton - He’s loves spiced (not spicy but the use of spices)Alba - She loves spicy food!Eppie - Also a sweet person!

Eden - HEll  yes!Jude - He’s alright!Leyton - No, he practically can make rice, noodles and potatoes and that’s about it!Alba - She’s pretty good - she does a lot of oriental food from her gap year.Eppie - Also pretty crap - pot noodles and chocolate comprise a lot of her diet!

J1. Where does your OC stand most politically? What would they align with most?

Eden - He’d probably be towards the left end of the spectrum, he cares about people and that would be his motivation. Jude - Rather similarly to Eden, although he might be more to the centre of the spectrum.Leyton - He’s definitely on the right, not far right mind you, but he’s more Conservative in his ideology. Alba - She’s very Green in what she believes. Eppie - Doesn’t give a flying fuck about politics!

J5. Are they or would they protest for a cause they’re passionate about?

Eden - He’d probably protest about cuts to mental health services (as long as Jude was there with him!)Jude - He’d be Eden’s back up!Leyton - Not really. Alba - Anything about nuclear weaponry she’d protest against!Eppie - She’d love to protest about trans issues, but she hasn’t got the confidence up yet...

J7. How much interest in environmental health do they have?

Eden - He’s got a fair amount, as a Christian he believes it’s part of his responsibility to look after the earth that God created!Jude - He cares, but he wouldn’t go out of his way to do anything...Leyton - He recycles cause his flats provides recycling bins Alba - She’s very passionate and invested in caring for creation for the future generations!Eppie - It’s not really something she’s taken an interest in!
