Possible spoilers for content in Blackout Hospital and Cemetery Mary

I only noticed this in retrospect, but in comparison to your other games, Blackout Hospital had a lot of aquatic noisrevians and I had wondered if that had anything to do with the hospital itself (like specialists are here) or if it just happened to be in a preferred location for them? It could also just be to show how out of place Vasilis is and how they are kind of isolated in that sense/ Like how Mary is in blackwood and it effects how they are perceived by strangers in a negative light.

I have to say it's not intentional at all! I think the real reason behind it is a lot of these characters were still pulled from my Wadanohara fancharacter days hence a bountiful amount of sea life! But it's very interesting to hear what you think about the contrast and how it feeds into a feeling of isolation! :D

❤️ It's funny. Something about him had always felt just a little bit... Off.  

❤️ In theory, you had no good reason to distrust him. And surely neither did any of the other inhabitants of the Blue Sea.  

❤️ Sal is nothing if not kind, helpful and reliable. A dutiful member of the princess' court and a good friend to many, if not just a bit of a pushover.  

❤️ But maybe... Maybe it was the constant smiles, maybe it was the overbearing friendliness, or maybe even the stares you could feel searing into the back of your head.  

❤️ Maybe it was the fact he could tell that you didn't fully trust him. 

❤️ He tried his best to get in your good graces. Offering his help, his company, some small trinkets here and there. Always with the air of an old friend who just wanted to catch up.  

❤️ And you accepted, slowly but surely, you did. If one of your drawers back at home full of small gifts made of seashells and pearls are anything to go by.  

❤️ After all, he couldn't afford any suspicion.  

❤️ Not after everything he had to go through. Not after he waited for so long in this godforsaken sea.  

❤️ You are endearing, yes. Charming, he could even admit. Though this felt different from the way he had taken a liking to Wadanohara.  

❤️ He would be lying if he said that he didn't get some enjoyment out of your little game of back and forth. Of the way you always seemed just a bit wary of him.

❤️ It dulled the boredom. It made it feel like there was at least someone in this sea who wasn't completely and brainlessly trusting.  

❤️ It made him want you to be the first he would seek out on the day everything would go to hell. What would be your reaction, he wonders? For your fears to be proven right in the most horrific way possible?  

❤️ He felt like you never quite fully bought into his little song and dance, no matter how stupid he made himself look or how cheery he acted. And while amusing, it came with concerns.

❤️ He almost let himself feel wary, even worried that you could pose some sort of threat to his plan, that you would go and run your mouth.  

❤️ But then again... Maybe he overestimated you a bit.  

❤️ Because not even you saw what was coming.  

❤️ How could you, really? How could anyone? Who would truly believe what he had done, what he was capable of? 

❤️ Even you couldn't predict the return of the Red Sea.

❤️ And his plan came to pass, nearly as perfectly as he had hoped; and he watched as the shock of betrayal turned everyone against him.

❤️ Sal had been disappointed in Wadanohara's reaction and choice in alliances, but then again, he wasn't surprised either. Of course she wouldn't take his side or accept him now, none of the inhabitants of the Blue Sea would. 

❤️ Well, most of them didn't. But at least the sea witch's violently smitten octopus familiar served a good enough purpose in the end.

❤️ He didn't care anymore. After leaving Wadanohara's fate in the bloody and traitorous hands of Fukami, he knew exactly who he was going to see next, leaving them behind as her screams echoed through the halls of this decaying palace.

❤️ You had nowhere to run.

❤️ Surviving amongst the wreckage and violence was near impossible, and trying to help any familiar faces was basically a suicide mission that wouldn't end without you either losing limbs or just straight up dead.

❤️ And with Wadanohara gone, it's not like there was much hope left for the sea to be saved.

❤️ He found you curled up in a corner, hiding away as much as you could in this chaos, shaking and terrified. Who could blame you, really?

❤️ Funny. A glint catches his eye, an insignificant detail he shouldn't have bothered with. You were still wearing one of those stupid seashell bracelets he made for you.

❤️ And he had noticed. Back when he revealed his true form and alliance to the red sea, your expression hadn't been of anger or one that showed you had seen this coming, like he had always imagined it would be. No. You were in disbelief. You looked betrayed.

❤️ You were scared.

❤️ He guesses, in the end, you might have started to warm up to him. Genuinely started to enjoy his company. The revelation made his heart twist, but for a reason he didn't want to spend any time pondering.

❤️ What a shame.

❤️ When he started to approach you, bloody, sword in hand and the sharpest smile pulling at his face, you could only think of death. But he had other plans.

❤️ He didn't care about your approval on the matter, like he tried getting with Wadanohara. And he isn't planning on you ending up like her, either. Death would be too sweet of an escape for you. 

❤️ His companion and newest victim. He thinks you could stay forever and endure the pain with him. What a wonderful ending for you. For both of you. Forever tied to the Red Sea, forever tied to him.

5 – Do you respond to comments?

All the time! I was able to respond to literally every single comment back in 2022, but as last year went on, I realized I probably can't realistically do that anymore. It's a blessing and a curse.

6 – What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

We already knew how this would turn out. Title not given directly in my answer in case of spoilers. My readers saw it coming because I had built up to it, but I took my time writing the gradual reveal in the last chapter to make sure it landed the way I wanted it to.

And one more comment I won't post here bc (for anyone who wants to read it) spoils the ending but shoutout to the person who physically felt the shock lurch through their body when the realization hit them after the slow build-up.

As much as I love angsty stories with happy endings, what gets me more are stories that are happy at face value, with endings that are heartwrenching because of the underbelly of what lurked beneath that facade.

7 – What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

The Risen Lamb and the Fallen God. Bit a spoilers below if you're avoiding that

The original wedding fic (as part of the original series) is up, but it's going to get a good polishing in the rewrite. Lambert and Narinder are going to have a private first dance, Thenana and Narinder are going to have a deeper conversation, Ratau's interactions with Lambert are gonna be shown rather than just told, Aym and Baal will be revived.

8 – Do you get hate on fics?

Mostly no. There was one time last year that I was compared to another writer in the fandom and slowly asks evolved into "your own concepts are being done better by others" and shit, and the other writer got hate messages as well, and... well, it was a whole thing. Don't wanna talk too in detail about it because I don't wanna beat a dead horse but cotl writers have unionized so we got the last laugh I guess

9 – Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

lol ya it's on remainderofreality. What "kind?" uh. experimental because I'd never tried the genre before this fandom and it kinda shows but that's okay.

10 – Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Honestly, I'm not really into crossovers! Unless it's Webber in cotl. He can stay, he's cute.

11 – Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yeah. It was actually the first fic I posted online, ever. In middle school, I wrote a whole ~100k-ish word self-insert pokemon fanfic, which I wrote by hand in like five composition notebooks, so I never posted that online. But after that I decided to post shorter one-shots for pokemon online, and a few months later I found one of mine reposted without credit. Plagiarized entirely, basically. It scared me and I deleted everything I had posted online, and I don't have extra copies of the works now. :(

12 – Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope, but I'd be okay with it if I was asked beforehand and proper credit was given!

13 – Have you ever co-written a fic?

Yeah! Of Duty and Devotion is basically a glorified roleplay between me as Aym, @i-eat-deodorant as Baal, @checkplzjuliet as The Lamb, and @surfdudeboy as Narinder. I also wrote Hide and Seek, a cute little Bishop family one-shot, with @lordiedams (hi Damien I miss you).

14 – What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Narilamb. I haven't focused on a ship for this long, except maybe Rupphire back in the day, but I'm fixated so much more on CotL than I was for SU.

15 – What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Honestly, Of Duty and Devotion lmao. I'm much more focused on my own projects and so are Pavi, Surf, and Juliet. I do want to finish it though.

16 – What are your writing strengths?

Pacing, diction, syntax, getting the intended point across and doing it well. Once I commit to doing something, I don't usually let myself "give up" on it, hence why I barely have any unfinished WIPs. That's a skill honed with tons of practice, though. I have massive ADHD, and I'm bad at finishing things, but when it comes to writing by god I'm gonna do it.

17 – What are your writing weaknesses?

I often struggle to get to a point where I'm totally focused in on what I'm writing. It does happen once or twice a month, but honestly, I'm usually so busy with life stuff that I don't get to do that most of the time! I wish I had more time to make room for my hobbies, but alas. At least summer is coming up, and I'll be able to do that more often, hopefully!

18 – Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

It's possible to do it naturally for sure, but I rarely see it done well in fic. I've never attempted it...... or, wait, have I? I guess Thenana's sign language counts, huh? ...I feel like I need to do more research about this topic to answer the question properly.

20 – Favorite fic you’ve written?

The Risen Lamb and the Fallen God or The Care and Keeping of Eldritch Gods.

Risen/Fallen (and the enemies-to-lovers narilamb dynamic) was like the first thing that I did to make a "mark" on this fandom, and I didn't expect it to inspire so many people for sure! But, the first iteration of the series was so rushed. I wrote the whole thing in just over three weeks and averaged one chapter published every day and a half. Now that I have a better grasp on the characters after playing with them for a long while, I get to see my improvement, and I get to see so many friends I've made along the way sticking with me, the revamped "director's cut" version is definitely on track to be my favorite work.

However. It has yet to surpass Care and Keeping. As the oldest of four kids in my family, I based so much of Shamura on my experiences as an eldest sibling, and many of the experiences the younger bishops had in their formative years on our own childhoods. I based Narinder's childhood off of brother #1's (brother who is two years younger than me), Kallamar's childhood on my own, Heket's childhood on my sister's (five years younger than me), and Leshy's off of my youngest brother's (ten years younger than me). This story wasn't just an exploration of the Bishops and their dynamic/relationship pre-canon, it's also a testament to my own love as an eldest sibling... and all the anxiety associated with that, too.

My Trafalgar Law HC's!! pt.2 🤍🤍

So, as I was writing Chapter 5, I got an idea for something I could add.

Basically, for my HC, I was thinking that maybe Law is secretly good at music? There have been some non canon material in spinoff content that I've been looking at that have hinted at the idea of Law having art classes when he was younger, so I thought it might be a cute idea that he had music lessons too! And considering his JP VA is good at singing, I thought it would be something that might be cool for this next chapter :)) Especially since Reader is a musician too and music is a key component of this fanfic, it would be a really cute way for them to bond.

His instrument would be...the ocarina!!🤍🤍✨✨✨

Inspired from Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea, I really like seeing Reader and Law's dynamic as Samekichi and Wadanohara. I've always had a really hard time seeing him with someone who's confident or cool. I never really vibed with the stubborn or teasing reader dynamic, considering how stubborn and cold he can be, too. I see that more as like a best friends dynamic, I suppose (I'm getting deja vu of saying this before lol)?

So I guess he could he called Lawdanohara lol!!🤍🤍🤍

I'm not sure what piece he would play for her. I've been thinking of maybe a song that's personal to him or something that reminds him of Reader. I feel like the latter would be overkill, but it would be slightly extra work to explain how the song is important to him if I chose the former option. So, we'll see.🌸🌸🌸

My idea is to have Law play her a song on his ocarina for her birthday and then teach one to her!! I'd like to incorporate "Sakura Iro No Yume"(Tzu-Shieh, Wen) from Deemo as their duet piece.

It'll be slight foreshadowing to their teamwork in the future, I suppose. overall, this chapter is very important, but I also want it to be sentimental and sweet since it won the poll that everyone voted on!! 🌸🌸

Anyways, this chapter still has a big component to be added to it: artwork. I'm gonna try my best to stay light and to stick to sketches and doodles like the one shown above. I don't want to stress myself out too much with Quiescence 1 (darn you, you complicated, stubborn chapter).

Also, I'm not trying to be egotistical or anything with these updates btw!! I just really like writing and coming up with new ideas ._.!! This is new for me and it's super fun. I feel annoying sometimes when I make these lol. I'll try to do them less and less and stay humble for future uploads.

Still, I hope you guys will enjoy this chapter when it comes out!!🤍🤍🤍🌸🌸 :))

I think I was roughly halfway. The title is very literal, so that's the best TL for the title I can come up with right now tbh. I was also thinking of the title, "Ashiya Douman's beloved Master can't fall asleep at 24:00" too... Douman/Ritsuka is really giving me the strength to brush up on my kanji <3 💚 🧡

It's actually a general fan-book, so there are no ship elements, it's just the two of them together. Wani's Douman and Ritsuka gen-fanbook isn't shippy perse, but I still love to see the two together nonetheless. And the title makes it feel subtly shippy. Inchresting... The art is pretty and it's very fluffy and cute and wholesome.

I'm roughly halfway with this one. I found and bought a lot of JuAli doujins secondhand back in January, and I'm very happy about that 🖤 ❤️ 💛 I had a lot of fun reading through them. So I wanted to translate them! I translated this one first cuz I saw the Jucat and thought it looked inchresting to me. It's very cute and funny!

I was honestly really surprised that JuAli even had doujinshi. But I’m really happy to collect ship doujins of my fave Magi ship and fave Magi rare pair :) Most of the JuAli doujins I collected are old doujins, and were made around 2012 - 2015 (around the time the Magi anime came out and when Magi’s EA fandom was most active)

Summary: Judar messes with Alibaba by turning into a cat (it's the whole turning into a cat person trope in EA media), and then Alibaba takes the cat Judar home unknowingly and falls asleep. An unsuspecting Alibaba wakes up to normal Judar sleeping on him the next morning.

I’ll also put my current progress so far under the cut. I actually have a lot more translation WIPs in the woodworks than this, but these are the main ones I'm working on right now (I do TLs on the side when I'm not drawing)

You can read under the cut if you don't mind spoilers! I got to about here in WATGBS. I was in the middle of recording a WATGBS (Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea) playthrough with commentary where I'd talk about our WATGBS AU's lore instead during the boring gameplay parts and criticize Funa’s works (the OG WATGBS). 

I was sleeping the whole time playing the game, but I was parading when I got to when Tatsumiya and Idate showed up for the first time. After that, I went back to sleep and haven't gotten back to it since. Snork mimimimi. I'll definitely get back to it, though, when I'm not busy, but it’s not on high priority.

I got to when Tatsumiya appeared, and then when Idate showed up later! After Idate showed up, I just went back to sleep, so I haven’t touched the game since LMFAO. I was so bored playing it since Funa’s games aren’t exactly written well or fun either. 

I’m only here for IdaTatsu LOL. And also cuz I wanna see what crumbs I can possibly use as setting/idea potential for our WATGBS AU. I’ll pick it back up again in the future, but it’s not a high priority of mine.

oh god the atmospheric setting of nier is probably one of my favorite things about the game. i love love love the kind of post-apocalyptic settings where nature has overtaken desolate cities there's just something so beautiful about it...like beauty in the wake of tragedy (or in nier's case the extinction of mankind) nier automata is truly THEEE existential crisis game i love replaying it whenever im going through anything LMAO

not mogeko castle FJNEKJFNK funamu is really out here just traumatizing us huh.....i didn't know wadanohara was one of their more mild games until i played mogeko castle LMAO

and yes!!! i've played detroit become human (i literally wrote ff for it HAHA) but i also know of 12 minutes and little nightmares. little nightmares is actually on my list to play but i will definitely check out everything else u listed <333
