elena tinha metido o famoso "pelo whats é ruim, vai ter que ser pessoalmente" para encontrar santiago naquele dia. ué, ela era filha de deus e tinha passado por dias malucos. mesmo já fazendo quatro dias do jantar e três da volta de angelina para casa, a cabeça da de bellefort mais velha rodava em mil direções. ela tentava se acalmar, mas o seu cérebro não era de distrações, normalmente se fixando em obsessões até que algo acontecesse de fato. encontrar santi no laberinto de luz era como trocar uma obsessão por outra. sua válvule de escape era, não raro, focar no campo físico-amoroso. é claro que o vilallobos era mais que uma distração, antes de tudo era uma presença constante desde a infância e alguém que podia compreender suas preocupações naquele momento, mas a segunda parte com certeza não estragava. o lugar foi estrategicamente escolhido, por há muito ser conhecido por seus encontros secretos. não que fosse secreto, mas a camada de melodrama sempre era bem-vinda, na sua visão. os dois se encontraram na entrada do jardim. ❝oi❞, cumprimentou, dando-lhe dois beijos na bochecha e um breve abraço. ❝que bom que deu pra gente se encontrar aqui. o celular começou a me deixar ansiosa❞, confessou.quando seu cérebro estava naquele modo de pensar-pensar-pensar, mexer no celular só potencializava aquilo. o melhor que podia fazer era se desconectar e sair por aí. ❝gostou do lugar escolhido? pensei que a gente podia fazer uma reunião secreta❞, brincou, tentando aliviar o peso da frase anterior que jogou sem mais nem menos.

8. What was your OC's most embarrassing moment? Does it still bother them or are they able to shrug it off?
She's had plenty of moments where she's been embarrassed, but probably her most embarrassing was her first visit to a large city! She's used to wearing work clothes on her ranch for obvious reasons, and she used to have no idea how to move around in flowing fabrics and large dresses. For her first visit to a big city she thought it'd be a good idea to fit in with the crowd to draw less attention to herself while she explored, but she ended up tripping over the hem of her dress so much it drew more attention to her than if she had just gone in her everyday clothing. She's since gotten better at it, but the dresses only come out for special outings now!
13. How important are romantic relationships to your OC? Do they prefer casual sex, short flings, or long term relationships? Do they want to get married or are they content with what they have? Or do they have no interest in romance whatsoever?
Primrose is a HUUUUGEEE ROMANTICCC so she has always always always since she was a child has wanted to fall in love :) She's definitely a long term, real commitment kind of gal! She idealizes classic romances, believes in true love, and wants a classic fairytale wedding <3
20. Has your OC ever done something terrible and lied about it? Did they run away or blame someone else for it? How long did they maintain the lie and did the truth ever come out?
SHE'S AN ANGEL..... she hasn't done anything terrible per se, but she does keep the fact that she's a werewolf a secret- so the few times she's gone a little feral and attacked livestock is something she keeps under wraps out of shame! People close to her know about this so it's not like the truth has never come out though :0c

Remind me to at some point do something about that ficlet i have knocking around in my head where ulixes surprise-visits steban at his mom's place during semester break and steban gets extremely flustered about it
#posts by me#this would be early in their friendship#they met each other in the last semester and instantly clicked but it's all still new. uli hasn't even realized he has a crush yet#he's staying with his parents and they're distant and disinterested and he misses talking to his new friend#and hey steban did give him his family's address ''for emergencies'' and urgently needing to talk theory is an emergency!!#so he heads to villalobos. has the door opened by steban's mom. all very yes hello can my friend come out to play#he's led out back to a little community garden that some people in the apartment block manage together#steban's there helping out bc he's on break. he's in his oldest shittiest gardening clothes. there's dirt on his hands#and mud on his bare feet. uli looks at him in the sunlight and thinks ooohh. i am IN LOVE with you#then steban sees him and is like OH NO. he's not supposed to see me without my nice academic getup#now he'll think [mesque stereotype] [mesque stereotype] [mesque stereotype]#and meanwhile uli's thinking wow he is the most beautiful being to ever exist i want to be communist lovers with him#cue uli sitting in the kitchen with lemonade while steban has a whispered argument with his mom outside#all ''muuuums why did you just let him IN HERE i'm not even properly DRESSED'' and his mom is all oh you want to impress the boy huh?#you want to look nice for the boy? 😏#and steban (blushing) is like i want the boy to take me SERIOUSLY as an ACADEMIC#like... this is firstie steban. he's still grappling with the whole 'poor kid in a college environment' thing#he hasn't yet learned to simply own it. he's probably trying to suppress his accent when he's on campus. and uli might even be middle class#(!!!)#and like he's not Ashamed of where he's from. his family's great. he... doesn't Hate being mesque. he's not sure yet how it all squares w#his brand-new communist beliefs. where he belongs and what he defines himself as#but he knows this: he does kinda want to impress ulixes. it just feels right to have him around#so he's just very very flustered and confused and trying to act nonchalant about it#steban's mom after fighting tooth and nail for it eventually gets uli to call her by her first name

A remarkable new deep-sea nereidid (Annelida: Nereididae) with gills

Abstract
Nereidid polychaetes are well known from shallow marine habitats, but their diversity in the deep sea is poorly known. Here we describe an unusual new nereidid species found at methane seeps off the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Specimens of Pectinereis strickrotti gen. nov., sp. nov. had been observed dating back to 2009 swimming just above the seafloor at ~1,000 m depth but were not successfully captured until 2018. Male epitokes were collected as well as a fragment of an infaunal female found in a pushcore sample. The specimens were all confirmed as the same species based on mitochondrial COI. Phylogenetic analyses, including one based on available whole mitochondrial genomes for nereidids, revealed no close relative, allowing for the placement of the new species in its own genus within the subfamily Nereidinae. This was supported by the unusual non-reproductive and epitokous morphology, including parapodial cirrostyles as pectinate gills, hooked aciculae, elfin-shoe-shaped ventral cirrophores, and elongate, fusiform dorsal ligules emerging sub-medially to enlarged cirrophores. Additionally, the gill-bearing subfamily Dendronereidinae, generally regarded as a junior synonym of Gymnonereidinae, is reviewed and it is here reinstated and as a monogeneric taxon.

Ash was greeted by Janus when he returned to the little palace he called a home. He landed before his guardian and gave him a relaxed smile. "I hope you did not wait too long." "I didn't, exactly. I figured you would be home from checking up on Villalobos soon enough and Belphegor's stories were starting to annoy me."Janus explained and Ash nodded in understanding. Who knew the demon of sloth had developped a love for bedtime stories and would often repeat them in the most monotone voice one ever could imagine? Ash wouldn't be surprised if Belphegor's ex-wife had loathed that habit of his too. "Well, everything went as planned. Manuel has laid the trap and all of the remaining Shadowhunters in Idris have walked straight into it. They only know someone aided Manuel and by the time they realized who has taken over Idris, they will have no other option but to obey our every command," Ash explained as he sat down on the couch. A hungry smirk formed on Janus' face. Every step forward was one step towards Clary and he frankly couldn't wait. She was so close and Janus could feel himself get impatient. Ash was the only presence that could calm him and as he looked into those green eyes, he felt dizzy with a dark hope.
Tessa looked at the book in front of her as she called over everyone. Everyone rushed downstairs and Kit's heart was pounding. Did this mean that she had found out whatever was afflicting Ty, Livvy and Jeroen? His blue eyes fixated on Tessa's who looked at him very tensely. "I found out what happened when Livvy and Jeroen where visiting Idris," Tessa said, taking a deep breath. "It seems that during their visit to Idris, a magical barrier was activated in Idris. It specifically harms ghosts, eats away at their spirits once they leave the barrier." Kit and Dru paled upon hearing Livvy was literally being eaten alive by dark magic and Kit wondered how all of that was impacting Ty, knowing their souls were connected. "Did someone find out that Livvy's ghost roams around?" Anush asked, surprising Kit. Though, now he mentioned it, it was a strange coincidence. Tessa sighed. "That, unfortunately, brings me to the most important aspect of our predicament." She paused, with the group hanging onto her ever word and their faces were in unison with their expressed anxiety, "The only one familiar enough with the realm of ghosts and the particular barrier itself, is the demon who replaced my grandfather Belial." Disbelief and panic washed over the group as the news sunk in. "The Princes of Hell in Idris?!" Thais cried out as she tried to process the ridiculousness of it all. Tessa herself could hardly believe it and she did not blame the young girl for looking at her as if she had just grown an additional head. "Well, I don't believe they have infiltrated our world yet. I believe they are still in Faerie for now, because there are ways to sense if they have. They are mystical alarms if you will, and Ragnor had became in a posession of one. If they had, he would have called me by now. This leads me to believe they are still in Faerie but have managed to struck an alliance with someone to gain from Zara Dearborn's death." Dru tasted something foul in her mouth as she spoke his name, "Manuel. Of course it's that slimy asshole." Zeynep and Thais chuckled. "Which is why we have to strike now. Whilst I cannot undo the damage done to Livvy and Jeroen, we can prevent it from getting worse and dragging Ty down with them if we act now. The barrier needs to be undone and in order for that, we have to take back idris." Tessa declared gravely. Take back Idris? "But we'd have to fight all the remaining Shadowhunters in order to do so. We'd have to kill people!" Tomas commented, who was clearly uncomfortable with the thought. "I don't care. I'll slice the throats of the people who killed my family myself," Tavi uttered darkly, rage boiling in her eyes. "Octavia!" Kit couldn't blame her and besides, what other option did they have?

❝você pode fazer o que quiser, cariño❞, devolveu, acompanhado de um sorriso enigmático, enfatizando o duplo sentido da frase. era justamente o que precisava naquele momento, a distração perfeita em forma de homem bem vestido e cheiroso. só isso podia ajudá-la a não pirar de vez antes mesmo de sentar-se à mesa. e ele não falhou, desde os elogios, até a proposta tentadora e que ele tinha como intenção aceitar, sem nem mesmo hesitar.
contudo, a menção dele das câmeras a fez lembrar de que esse mesmo fato foi um dos motivos de começar a beber tão cedo e tão rápido. ela entrelaçou o braço esquerdo no direito de santi, de forma que começassem a andar longe do salão. ❝eu também percebi isso❞, falou, mas tentando permanecer com a expressão normal enquanto eles passavam pelas pessoas e iam até o pé das escadas, longe de olhares curiosos (mas não todos, porque as câmeras pareciam continuar por ali). ❝não é... estranho? bizarro? pode ser que eles estejam tomando cuidado, medidas de segurança, mas é esquisito que tenham convidado a gente pra um jantar televiosionado. será que querem o que, analisar nossas reações? siniestro❞, um arrepio percorreu sua espinha. ela conduziu-o até as escadas que dariam ao subsolo e, consequentemente, a adega dos de borbón. ❝eu digo que arriscamos. yolo, não é isso? vai que essa noite é um marco esquisito no espaço-tempo e nós somos os próximos? pelo menos vai ter valido a pena❞, brincou, piscando para o villalobos.
