Just realised I hadn’t posted the two new songs that i’m credited as a Songwriter on!
This banger is already a big hit here in T&T and wherever else Soca music is played 🙌🏾. It’s one of the more popular songs blazing on local radio right now and in fetes (Soca parties) and clubs etc as well. Super proud of that.
Talk about a perfect combination of the old meeting the new. The song is performed by emerging artist LucratiV, alongside Trinidad’s veteran Calypso and Soca legend, Lord Nelson! 🔥🔥🔥
LucratiV (feat. Lord Nelson) - Disco 🪩🕺🏾
#SONGWRITING BY Mista Vybe, Joel Joseph (AKA LucratiV), Kyle Phillips (AKA Badjohn Republic) & Robert Nelson (AKA Lord Nelson)
Background Vocals By Gena-Marie Bereaux
Produced & Mixed By Badjohn Republic
Live Guitar & Brass Arrangement By Kenny Phillips
Tenor Sax By Oral Rodriguez
Trumpet By Roger Jaggasar
Trombone By David Jacob
Mastered By NMG Music

HEY I HAVE A DUMB QUESTION BECAUSE MY BRAIN DOESNT KNOW HOW TO PRONOUNCE Vy
is it live the vi in vibes or the way that the letter v is said? thanks!
not a dumb question at all.
My friends gave me this name, and I took it on as my *one true name* if you will, so a lot of people don't know how to pronounce it.
It is pronouced Vy as in Vybes :)
(story time, I went by Violet, but I didn't like Vi because it made me think of roman numeral 6 VI and I don't feel like a number 6...so they went with Vy instead, or they were just being creative teenagers lol)

“Good Ones from Charlie XCX”
Remix Feature Written by: Aaron Thomas Glesenkamp (aka: VYBEZ)
*Intended for blackbear• his voice would sound rad as a feature in this track IMO
**(parentheses:) mean I’m unsure about the line and it’s available for collaboration or altering**
•Written in about 20-30 minutes at Beerhive, SLC, UT 12/28/22 at 12:55PM
Became inspired to write this at the gym this morning. Wrote this one for fun, not intentionally about anyone in particular. Some real truth though. 😉 #litsfits (lad/lady in the streets, freak in the sheets)
Remix Feature:
I always like the ones with the toxic, sugar sweet, venom
Type who take a hit and blow it back in your mouth
(The type to kiss and are out for blood when they bite ya mouth)
Had to let a good one go, cause she so good in the night
And too good good at walkin’ out the door
She never good for more than that
Only like the bad ones:
Who good at bein’ a lady
But so much better at bein’ a hoe
The type that’s only good for the tip
**laughs**
But you know she always good for it
Keeps it together like Jackie O.
But once and a while like to get lit
Only wardrobe she wear is the one she threw on the floor
Made for the nasty one’s, who don’t stop don’t quit
And the good one’s who can’t hang
And always got something’ to say bout it
Drop that shit quick
Always let the “good one’s” go
Don’t mess with that shit
**laughs**
‘Ont fuck a bitch who in it for the money and ain’t up on the dick
Stick wit’ a bad one who know they already a pro
And play like it’s the Olympics
To the good one before my current pretty, litty, witty bad•and•big•assed, bitty:
Bye bitch

Vybe: Drag Race Down Under has been my love letter to Sydney drag
New Post has been published on https://qnews.com.au/vybe-drag-race-down-under-has-been-my-love-letter-to-sydney-drag/
Vybe: Drag Race Down Under has been my love letter to Sydney drag
Sydney’s Vybe says her time on Drag Race Down Under is a love letter to Sydney Drag ahead of Friday’s finale.
Starting out competing against each other and becoming a sisterhood is just part of what Vybe shared with QNews ahead of the Grand Finale.
In the first ep it looked like you were going to get the bitchy edit, were you worried about being cast as the villain?
Not at all, I had such a positive experience with all of the girls that it would be hard to pull a villain from us. Nikita was the one that came in hard, sassy and shady, and it was great. We all had little friendships that formed and when I watched it back it was hilarious and character-building.
You’ve represented Sydney drag brilliantly, but this cast has such diverse drag, it must have been great to have been competing and shining within such strong genres.
Oh, totally. Look, Sydney drag is Sydney drag. But building so many close friendships with not only the girls in Brisbane and Melbourne but also New Zealand was great. Because we only see the drag that we see when you’re out and about in our hometown. Following a queen online is very different to interacting with them and having fun moments or working with them. One of my favourite things about getting out of Sydney is seeing as much drag as possible.
The highlight for me was having this diversity on set while doing this incredible show. Seeing how other people’s brains work and how they approach a challenge that you wouldn’t think of doing was one of my favourite things from the season.

Due to friendships with past contestants, you may have thought you knew what you were stepping into, but was that a different story when you were there?
It was very different to what I expected but in a positive way. You can get all the advice in the world, but until you walk into that Werk Room, face the cameras and meet the girls, it’s completely different to what you expect. I was very happy that I had a very positive experience. I felt very comfortable and supported by the cast and the crew and that let me be the idiot that I know I am.
Sydney drag is held in very high regard, are you proud to have represented that on the show so well?
I think this was like my love letter to Sydney Drag. I grew up watching it, falling in love with it and eventually stepping out on the scene. It was only then I started learning how to do drag from the people and queens around me. It feels funny being told I’m representing Sydney Drag and having the opportunity to celebrate that. I’m just proud to be a Sydney Queen and bring what I know of my drag experience and perspective to the main stage in a way that I’m proud of.
There’s a great comradery between the Season Four cast, how has it been getting to know each other now filming is done?
When you’re filming it’s not normal life as we know it. And once we left that experience I don’t think there’s been a day that I haven’t spoken to the majority of the girls. We speak daily in our group chat and have individual conversations going on all the time. We are trying to plan when we’ll see each other next. It feels like we we went on the show to compete against each other, but have all won a really strong sisterhood from it.

What vibe can we expect from Vybe as we barrel towards the final episode?
Honestly, I’m excited to see the final cut because it’s all a blur. We filmed so long ago that I started losing my mind trying to remember what I did and all the little bits. But I know my final look and what we do in the episode is something I’m proud of and excited to see.  I’m very happy to see the final evolution of Vybe on the screens and celebrate it.
Is it strange not knowing how you’re going to be edited in the final cut?
I have a bad memory and operate at full ADHD all the time so my attention span is non-existent. You put those three things together and I can’t tell you what I did yesterday, let alone while we were filming eight months ago. Watching every single week is like I’m seeing it with fresh eyes. You say and do so much. But I would hate to be the one who has to choose what goes into the edit because I would not be able to cut it down. I’m happy with it so far, so no complaints from my end.
Looking back what’s been your favourite moment rewatching the show?
Honestly, I can’t put it down to a single moment. There are so many funny little interactions between queens I’ve enjoyed. All of us spraying Lacey’s dress for the Liquid Dreams Runway is one. And then there’s my friendship with Max. That’s something that grew very quickly and strongly on the show. Watching that back was something I’ll cherish forever. But then you have the challenge-based highs. I loved my roast challenge, that was great. But sharing the makeover win with Nikita was also incredible. We both did something completely different and to have that win between us was camp. I love sharing it with her.

Are you excited to be touring with everyone in 2025?
I cannot wait. I’ve bumped out to Melbourne and Brisbane and seen the girls up there recently. But all we can talk about is the tour. To be able to travel around, celebrate each other, perform our drag and be idiots – I’m counting the seconds.
Who would you say is Miss Congeniality of the season?
Honestly, I think Mandy, even just from the sewing challenge alone. The amount of time she put into everyone else before her look was unbelievable. I would not have been able to do the same, mainly because I don’t have the expertise.
Max Drag Queen is the lip-synch assassin of Season Four. If you were up against her on the show what would that be like?
I would have bought a little map with directions and instructions for production saying where I should be filmed. You would never have seen Max on the runway. I would have gone on and ideally done a lovely ballad in a gorgeous dress. I would have won and that would be the end of it.
Finally, what would you say to all of #TeamVybe who have supported you on this journey?
Thank you. Doing Drag Race you open yourself up to a lot of opinions, critique and trolls. The absolute highlight of this experience is the love and support I’ve gotten through the season. I’m a very self-doubting person. So getting that much praise and love is something I’m still getting used to. I cannot thank you all enough.
Find out if Vybe takes the Drag Race Down Under crown this Friday on Stan.
