"Vorticular Drumgon" contains a pun on drum magazine and dragon. Given the size of the monster's magazine, this card was likely inspired by the Thompson submachine gun, better known as the Tommy gun.

As I say every year, let me once again extend my many many thanks to all of you for your continued support. It is very much appreciated, to say the least, and I’m glad so many of you get the same enjoyment out of the card art as I do.
With all that in mind, I hope you all enjoy today’s three carefully chosen posts and have a great rest of your day.

Link 3 DARK Dragon Link Effect Monster
ATK 1000
Links: Left, Right, Bottom
Materials: 3 DARK Dragon monsters You can only use this card name’s (1) effect once per turn. (1) If this card is Special Summoned: You can draw 1 card. (2) During the turn you applied this card’s (1) effect, unused Monster Zones this card points to cannot be used.
3 DARK Dragon monsters is pretty specific and limits this pretty much exclusively to “Rokket”s and “Odd-Eyes”
Limiting 1-2 zones on your field is generally not worth drawing 1 card unless you planned to link-climb higher which would be impeded by that now unusable zone.
You would play this to link-climb and combo off, but it’s effect would get in the way.

Sample: Prototyped Madness (Alarm Clock)
Ah, the humble Alarm Clock. An annoyance to most, but necessary at the end of the day. It is used to awaken its owner at the start of the day and to tell time on all other points. Due to its accessibility and its high Commonality Attribute, not to mention some people's tendency to sash and throw it, it is no wonder that it is a common subject of Prototyping.
Basic Abilities
Wake Up Call
Expenditure: 1 Point - Preconditions: None
Idiosyncrasies: The Underling gains a pair of large brass Alarm Clock bells on their head. This may allow certain magnetic or metal-affecting abilities to be used on them.
Effect: The Underling can create an ear piercing ringing noise that continues on for several seconds. All characters in a short range is dealt a small amount of Sonic Damage. This has a small chance of afflicting Deafness, and to negate Sleep effects.
Clockwork Cadet
Expenditure: 1 Point - Preconditions: None
Idiosyncrasies: The Underling’s insides become completely composed of metal gears and cogs, this also shows on the outside with their robotic movements and some visible gears. They become vulnerable to abilities that affect metal.
Effect: The Underling becomes impossible to tire, they are immune to Fatigue and Sleep inducing effects. They also become slightly immune to superficial damage, though any damage that occurs below their skin are increased and has a higher chance of hindering movement.
Hands of the Chroniker
Expenditure: 1 Point - Preconditions: None
Idiosyncrasies: The Underling gains a third arm, and their original appendages change. One arm becomes twice as long and incredibly thin, another shortens and thickens, while the last keeps their original form.
Effect: The Underling’s arm gain different benefits depending on their build. The thin one becomes faster and more precise though physically weaker, increasing its Alacrity and decreasing Mangrit. The stout one gets the exact opposite, an increased Mangrit while decreasing Alacrity. The final arms remains as normal.
Intermediate Abilities
Resonating Screech
Expenditure: 2 Points - Preconditions: Wake Up Call
Idiosyncrasies: As per Wake Up Call
Effect: The Underling’s Wake Up Call deals medium damage and has a 5% chance of shattering a random object in range.
Rhythmic Motions
Expenditure: 2 Points - Preconditions: Clockwork Cadet
Idiosyncrasies: As per Clockwork Cadet
Effect: The Underling gains a perfect sense of time and rhythm. They always know what time it is down to the millisecond and gains a great increase in their Speed and Alacrity scores.
Clockswords
Expenditure: 2 Points - Preconditions: Any Basic Ability
Idiosyncrasies: The Underling gains three weapons. A Dagger, a Shortsword, and a Rapier, all designed after a clock’s hands. Once the Underling dies, they have a large chance of dropping these items or their respective Strife Abstratus.
Effect: The Underling gains three weapons to use. They are of passable quality, at least for mid-game items, and each grant a slight boost in Alacrity.
Advanced Abilities
Insomnia’s Tune
Expenditure: 3 Points - Preconditions: Resonating Screech
Idiosyncrasies: As per Resonating Screech
Effect: The Underling’s Wake Up Call becomes a Long Ranged Ability. It deals Great Damage and automatically negates all Sleep and Rest effects within its range. This has a side effect of attracting angry Underlings who were in the middle of their naps to the Strife.
Mechanical Overdrive
Expenditure: 3 Points - Preconditions: Rhythmic Motions
Idiosyncrasies: As per Rhythmic Motions
Effect: Once every Strife, the Underling can speed up their gears by risking their integrity. This ability decreases their Vim for its duration while simultaneously increasing their Alacrity. The Underling may choose how much their Vim is decreased when this ability is used but cannot change while it’s still active. Alacrity is increased by twice the amount Vim is decreased. This effect lasts for a number of turns dependant on their level and Tier.
Vorticular Bladedance
Expenditure: 3 Points - Preconditions: Clockswords or Rhythmic Motions
Idiosyncrasies: As per Clockswords or Rhythmic Motions
Effect: The Underling becomes insanely flexible, allowing them to rotate any part of their body in a 360 degree fashion with ease. This has several uses, such as escaping bindings, a slash attack that hits at all sides, and being able to turn their neck like an owl. With some effort, the Underling can turn their body into a whirlwind of attacks, which would allow them to attack everything nearby multiple times.
Ultimate Abilities
Wake the Dead
Expenditure: 5 Points - Preconditions: Insomnia’s Tune, Physical interaction with an undead creature.
Idiosyncrasies: As per Insomnia’s Tune
Effect: The character’s Wake Up Call can wake up the Corpses and Ghosts of beings that dies within its range. Roused from their Eternal Rest by an Unholy Noise, the Undead rampage and enters Strife with any living being within their reach.
Stoppedwatch
Expenditure: 5 Points - Preconditions: Mechanical Overdrive, Reduced Vim to exactly 1 while using Mechanical Overdrive
Idiosyncrasies: As per Mechanical Overdrive
Effect: The character can stop Time for a few seconds. The duration of this ability depends on their level, but while active only they can perform actions. This ability can only be used once per Strife and has no effect on those with a great enough resistance to Time Abilities.
Chronometric Slash
Expenditure: 5 Points - Preconditions: Vorticular Bladedance, Clockswords, Must have sliced an enemy in half using Clockswords
Idiosyncrasies: As per Vorticular Bladedance
Effect: The character can enhance one attack they make using one of their Clockswords. The resulting slash deals an insane amount of damage and has a small chance of an Instant Kill. Anything killed or destroyed by this ability rapidly ages until they turn to dust.

[wip, this one will be a bit - what do you think?
How about the fact that you have a body that has three axis - 3D
there is one obvious mirror one side to the other two brain hemispheres - that can generate tremendous energies
there is back and fore that has a strange perception of space (time)
there is up and down - your gravitational sensor, with obvious heiarchy
