it's just funny how after season 2 wrapped up, both opening soundtracks finally make perfect fucking sense in both LG & CXS's pov

dive back in time

LG's pov: "time no longer flew like it was when the flash froze everything before. without you, i don't know if I could take this road" (we all know that LG painstakingly went back in time over and over again in hopes to create a timeline where CXS does'nt d*e. we don't know how many times he has done this but for him it doesn't even matter anymore bc he can't see a world without CXS in it)

CXS's pov: "every minute that I dialed back in time, every single existence rewinds, something secretive hidden inside your mind" (CXS to his seemingly rational partner. yes, he trusts him fully but maybe deep down there's a nagging feeling that there's something about LG he just couldn't figure out---and now we know why)

vortex (has both CXS & LG's pov but mainly LG's)

CXS: "where do we end up when we save the world, truth in the shadows so brightened in gold. place our fate into the ones aren't in control" (CXS' moral dilemma every single time he goes back to the past but really can't change anything no matter how bad it is bc this is the number one rule they've established w/ LG)

LG: "i guess that there was never such a thing like everything's meant to be. but i'mma win this silly game, until then I will never leave" (LG's evident determination to keep trying and gambling until he can win CXS's life back in the game of fate)

LG: "wasn't it hard to follow? i'd do it again tomorrow. it drag me down and drag me down. maybe we'll never leave" (LG knows he is a hypocrite and the guilt was probably eating away at him for the longest time, but at this point he is way past wrestling with his morality that it is no longer a question of how he saves cxs but "when"...in which timeline...and he will keep trying until then)

CXS: "i've held promises unbroken, even when the night has fallen" (referring to all the times he kept LG's reminder to try not to change the past no matter what happens and no matter how fcked up it gets. there may be times when he gets impulsive and tries to save everyone but in the end he know he has to accept whatever may come)

LG: "shattered mirrors our reflection, should you keep the light on reason" (referring to himself. he basically lost his mind when he loses CXS the first time that it doesn't even matter if he keeps on gambling away the fate of everyone else. what only matters to him is that he can get to an ending where he saves CXS)

idk if i am reaching but this is just me and my mental gymnastics after s2. i rest my case

a/n: hello hello! welcome to my first one-shot! (but not really hehe) if you're new and found my account for the first time, I hope you enjoy my stories and it's really wonderful to have you here! :) In an update a while ago, I mentioned that I currently have a plethora of story ideas that I would love to develop into a full-length series one day, but for now, in order to not overwhelm myself, I will be posting these stories as one-shots/imagines so that I can share it with all of you and come back to it later on! This is my first one inspired by Marry My Husband and set in a world like the Choices' game Blades of Light and Shadow! Let me know what you think and happy reading! <3

You're standing at the plank, back against the sea, tears streaming down your face. You refuse to look up at your lovers. There's a rollercoaster of emotions going on inside you, ranging from pain, hurt and betrayal to anger. 

They chose her over you, believed her melodious and cunning lies, and expect you to apologize to her. You're not looking up but from under your eyes, you can see her figure cozying up next to Wooyoung's. He's telling her not to cry, wiping away those crocodile tears in contrast to your real ones. 

Raw rage is slowly thrumming through your veins and resentment is coiling in your stomach as a vortex of anger gradually swirls inside. You've had enough honestly and you were no longer going to bend to anyone.

"Just apologize Y/N." Hongjoong remarks in a cold and distant voice.

His sword is right in front of you, barring you from getting off the plank.

"For what?" you respond icily,  "I've done nothing wrong."

Hongjoong grumbles under his breath and another person steps in, you recognize its Seonghwa by his boots.

"Please Y/N, don't be childish. Aera is younger than you, she needs us to look after her. You can't get jealous so easily."

Jealous. Such a funny word coming out of your lover's mouth. It's hypocritical rather, because your eight lovers lose it over the slightest glance someone casts in your direction.

You find it ridiculous.

The girl weasled her way onto the ship, and you had a bad feeling about it since day one. But you didn't think it would come to this. 

Love. That's all you ever wanted, and you found it in these eight men, who you had been with since the age of 16. They loved you more than anything, at least, that's what they said.

The only thing you want more than anything right now is to go back and choose differently. 

"I—" you declare, "I hope in my next life, true love finds me."

"Y/N what—" Yunho begins but you cut him off.

"I hope I meet someone who truly loves me and I hope it isn't any of you." 

You raise your head and look at Hongjoong directly in his eyes. He's taken aback at that cold and empty look in yours. He can see the wheels turning in your head but he’s not sure what you’re planning.

"Traitor." You verbalize before running into his sword.

"NO!" All eight voices ring out.

Shouts and screams erupt from all eight men as your blood begins to stain Hongjoong’s sword.

"Y/N WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Hongjoong screams.

You pull away and stumble backward towards the edge. San tries to reach for you but you pull your hand away and fall into the sea.

You're thinking this is where your story ends but actually dear one, this is only the beginning.

You startle out of your trance. You're in the fortune teller's shop. Blinking around haphazardly, you try to zero-in on your surroundings. Memories flood into your mind as you recognize where you are. This is the shop you visited when you were in the town of Maverick - it would be a month before everything happens.

You're dumbstruck by what just happened. Just moments ago, you were on the plank, ran yourself into Hongjoong’s sword and fell into the cold raging sea. Now, sitting in front of you, the elderly tarot reader draws some cards and gives you a reading.

"You're in for a big change dearie. I see the wheel of fortune is in your favour but be warned, the justice card reversed suggests there is dishonesty somewhere. "

“And this one?” you ask, pointing to the death card.

“In its upright position, it reveals that beginnings and change is expected. You’re nearing the end of a cycle.”

You don't ask for a further explanation, you pay and leave, walking back to the tavern where the boys are currently in. But as you walk out the shop's door, it begins to rain.

No...

Immediately, memories rush into your mind as you recall the timeline of events. It will rain and then the dam that's near the town will break, unleashing a flood. Aera is already with you all, the boys bringing her back home to her father after she got herself caught up with some misfits. But when the flood hits, everyone will scamper and she will come back with you all, joining the crew and then ruining everything you had with the boys.

Reaching the tavern, you watch from outside: all the boys are sitting around a table while Aera's father brings another round of drinks, and says something to Hongjoong. Aera stands at the far back of the room but you can tell there is something on her mind, that dubious and suspicious glint in her eyes. Her father walks back, she asks him something and then he scolds her before walking away. She balls her fists but then regains her composure before hopping over to your boys.

Previously, none of this had happened, as far as you remembered. After visiting the tarot reader, you waltzed into the tavern, pecked San and Jongho on the cheeks before placing yourself next to Yeosang who drew you closer to sit on his lap, his arm around you bringing you in closer. Aera did not come and sit with you all.

This time you hesitate entering the tavern, wondering if wandering around, accidentally getting lost or going the other way would be better. 

Love. That's all you ever wanted and you thought it would be with these eight boys. Now, you weren't so sure.

Little did you know, this moment of hesitation will change the course of your life. As you continue to think about your next course of action, a figure runs into you, bringing you down with him.

"What the—" Before you can even question, the figure jolts up, ready to run again. But you're quick on your feet too, and you grab the person by their wrist.

"Now wait a minute Mister," you begin but you're cut off by shrill shouts.

"There he is! Get him!"

You turn to the voices but before you can look at the person, he grabs your hand and pulls you with him. 

You have no idea why you're even running with him. You're strong enough to break free and go your merry way but as you study his back, you're intrigued — this black hair guy has a pretty feathered twist in his hair and silver dangle earrings. Something about him entices you.

He leads you down an alleyway, over a wall and then into an open field. The next thing you knew, you are on top of a hill that overlooks the town. He brings you behind a tree and you rest against the bark, trying to regulate your breath. The stranger crouches down attempting to do the same.

"You're insane." You remark.

"Yeah well, you were slowing me down so I had to bring you with me if I wanted to get away."

He doesn’t seem dangerous but rather, very amiable. The rain has stopped and there is only a slight drizzle, but from on top of the hill, you can see the dam that’s about to burst.

"No...the dam..." you mutter in-between breaths.

The stranger turns to the dam’s direction and his eyes widen. The dam erupts and rains down like a waterfall. You watch in fear and fright at the sight and your mind races to the boys, but deep down you know that they'll escape. 

But this time, you're not with them. You're with this stranger, now apart from them. 

"Hey are you okay?"

There's a wave of emotions and you feel yourself spiralling into panic. Your heart pounds in your chest and a familiar grip of fear tightens your chest, each breath of yours shallower than the last. Suddenly, the stranger holds you gently, looking at you with a reassuring calmness.

"Hey, don’t look there, look at me okay? Deep breaths, you can do it, take your time and follow me."

You do as you're told, the stranger running soothing circles on your forearms provides a sense of comfort and relief, and after a few minutes you finally compose yourself, staring out at the now submerged town. It's heartbreaking. 

"Where are you going to go?" he asks.

"I don't know." You answer.

The stranger hums and thinks for a minute before getting up and stretching out his hand for yours.

"Let's get going together then."

You're taken aback by his boldness but fascinated and captivated at the same time.

"I don't even know your name." you voice out.

He helps you up and gives you a polite smile, one that is soft and heartfelt.

"Yoonghoon. My name is Kim Yoonghoon."

If you don’t mind me asking, why does loumand work for you a bit more than loustat

I don't mind at all! Loumand works for me more because a) the show allowed me to see in scene that their relationship is more fucked up than initially presented whereas Loustat is more me liking the idea of them because season 1 is mostly dialogue and b) I also find it more sinister just more subtle.

So, Loustat is supposed to be this volatile, stormy, all-consuming vortex of a relationship but like I've been saying, I think that's mostly in dialogue that makes me go, I want to see this (including the push pull of sentiments like "I wanted him dead, I wanted him all to myself" "I wanted to be the man" because those lines are voiceovers over Louis' face and while I think Jacob Anderson is a good actor, he doesn't provide the nuance needed for me to see the hatred, love, desire, resentment in his expression for those lines to really get me when it’s just on his face) along with a few key moments -- such as having hate sex in Antoinette's apartment, the reveal of what actually happened when they turned Claudia into a vampire -- that make me go, it should be this all the time.

It's supposed to be insanity and chaos, it's supposed to be this rollercoaster of emotion, like when Louis says "that's Lestat" where he says lies and lies and then says something real, I thought to myself, is that Lestat? Did we really see this before? They are way too contained for me, which is partly why I like making vids for them because I can edit things to be as chaotic as I believe they're supposed to be. I hear them talk about what their dynamic is more than I actually see it, so watching it I get frustrated because it should be more.

Loumand isn't supposed to be insanity and chaos, they are supposed to be light and flirty and then calming and stable and I see that in their interactions

but I also see the other part of why Louis is attracted to his relationship with Armand. Armand is extremely powerful but Louis is in control, he can tell him to take his clothes off and read while he fucks him and Armand will love it

Louis sets the pace, Louis leads.

Or so he thinks.

The show portrayed Armand as somewhat passive and docile for a 500 year old vampire in charge of a coven. We get a sense of his power and what he can do but he only seems to react to potential conflict, which he says

and then we get 2x05 and we get to see what he's like when he's angry and his, "Oh, he's fine. You're fine. This is fine. We're all fine" while torturing Daniel to hurt Louis

and him interrogating Daniel because he's hurt that Louis called him boring,

besides being more interesting to me than something like Lestat bringing soldiers to the house in a temper tantrum because I find Armand's calculated punishment way more insidious (which isn’t to downplay Lestat’s abuse), I am shown that this relationship isn't quite right and Armand isn't toothless.

Not to mention, he doesn't tell Louis that Lestat said "I love you" so if he's withholding that,

combined with what happened with the photos

combined with the fact that Armand had been hovering around the interview from the beginning pretending to be someone else,we're left wondering if this is true

and then when we get to Armand's role in Claudia's death, we're left questioning whether or not this supremely powerful vampire really was as powerless to stop it as he tells us he was

and while Armand's love may be sincere, his protection of Louis may be sincere, is he also maybe emotionally manipulating him to stay?

It's ironic that Louis says this

when it's quite clear that he does need these things and the way Armand even interacts with him in that very fight is him doing the things Louis says he doesn't need.

I'm along for the ride with Loumand and left wondering who is in control, who is manipulating who, and find that the show actually illustrates the subtleties and power shifts etc in more than just moments.

(Whew! Damn I am sorry this took so long, I had such a mess of a few months, and getting absorbed and overwhelmed with my rp blog. Which is why I was silent on HH despite it ripping my heart out XP But I'm back! Let's do this, I love this idea. I love some Poly relationships, and first time for Bee, something to celebrate I guess, hope you don't mind if it kinda turns out treating the reader as Vortex, idk if that'll happen but I feel it might, but I will still try!)

Male Reader in a Poly relationship with Beelzebub and Loona

The Relationship is certainly like a rollercoaster, but not in a bad way.

Bee's eternal party girl attitude is well balanced by Loona's preference to take it slow and not draw too much attention to herself, and you being a good middle point things work pretty well despite two very different situations being your most common dates

High party life and chill dates like movies, walks etc, give a lot of ways for you guys to get used to eachothers quirks and interests.

Though I wll say, despite your both being pretty modest people, Bee loves showing you both off, just how she is but she tries to keep a low profile if you request it, just so you can recharge your social batteries when you need. Though she can still overdo it

You and Loona are pretty humble, you don't brag about being in a relationship with a sin, and if they haven't heard, you can expect some slack jaws when Bee shows herself, one time you and Loona are pretty darn smug and proud.

Bee is pretty darn protective of you too, not that Loona isn't as well, but due to her powers, Bee can be a good bit more intimidating and scary. If your protective too, then it's quite the scary throuple to mess with.

No matter your species, you love how soft both your girlfriend's fur is, though of course your respectful in touching it, be it bashful or or affectionately so.

When your all together and the night approaches, and you shuffle into bed, it's a very relaxed atmosphere, the bed is warm, as all the bodies you hold eachother close, but noones overheating as Bea's liquid tail wraps around you all.

If it takes long for any of you to get to sleep and anyone has something to vent about, you have two great confidents in a safe space, as sleep takes you, and another fun day awaits in the morning

I just finished ⚠️ chapter 1003 of Circle of Inevitability, ⚠️ and all I can say is, WOAH. I don't understand tbh!! But what a rollercoaster!!!

Let me get this straight... Since Mr. Fool entered the Door of Light at the end of LotM part 1 in order to enter a dream with Celestial Worthy, it means the entrance and beginning of the dream is at the Door of Light. So it makes sense that the dream's leak/ infiltration point where the other evil gods exhert their power through would be at the Door of Light's entrance. So when Franca fell into the abyss of underground Mushu Hospital, she was falling through the trauma of Celestial Worthy, Mr. Fool, AND the leakage of the evil gods that squeezed through the leak. Once she got through all that, and met the gray fog, she met the dream's entrance: the Door of Light! (Where she finally finds out the truth :'o )

To find Franca, Lumian lit the corpse wax candle and completed a contract with that hidden power within the well full of blood. What could be in that well? Why did it cause a vortex (does it have to do with the Vortex Project in the previous arc?), and why was it powerful enough to cancel out the multi- corruption in Mushu Hospital? Lumian guesses that the power within the blood well was at the level of Celestial Worthy and Mr. Fool, so my guess is that what Lumian just made a contract with might've been the remaining power of the previous owner of the above the Sequence 'Calamity of Destruction' throne. Or maybe it's the remaining corruption caused by the Primordial Demoness and the Blood Emperor who tried to get to the Calamity of Destruction throne in the past. If it's neither of the two, then I have no idea. If there was a previous owner of the Calamity of Destruction throne, who was it? What happened to them? I'm still kinda confused about what's going on (and what has already happened) with the Primordial Demoness, Blood Emperor, and the Mirror People. Maybe I should read the wiki more

Meanwhile: What will happen, now that Lumian has dripped his blood into that well? I'm a bit worried about Lumian to say the least, haha. Is it connected to Sealed Artifact 0-01? What does the somewhat modern city that surrounds that well (and the tower that houses the well) represent? Is it Fourth Epoch Trier? But why did it have electric cable cars?

Hey remember the Mobile Unit? Remember the “we are getting the team out and working across more of Newfoundland” plan? Those were good times.

Remember how hard they hit the Charah moments with zero subtlety in the first four episodes before leading us through the rollercoaster ride from hell? 😭😭😭 (insert “I’m fine” gif here)

Yeah anyway I’m going to be insufferable for the next 15 days (or however many days it takes me to run quickly through the vortex of suck that is mid-s4.) Fair warning.

Third in the series! (Keep in mind that Kyo's vocals begin around 0:45 in sukekiyo's mimi zozo.)

This song is so 3-dimensional, and you can feel it even just from the vocals. While the music overall is some crazy energetic jazz, Kyo's vocals clearly evoke a fall in a vortex, or a struggle left and right through a jungle. In other words, this feels like it incarnates an actual rollercoaster.

I will try my damnest to keep this short & sweet:

Indya wasn't wrong. I repeat, Indya wasn't wrong.

There I said it. Lol. But in all seriousness, could she have said "close your mouth" rather than "shut the fuck up," of course...But there was nothing wrong with what she said nor how she said it. (and that little grab Indya did was harmless). Hope didn't just run to lil Stacy's house (her friends name is escaping me right now, my bad Cin), she decided to hop on a train & just so happen to land in San My...scared shitless because she had no idea where she was. Let's not forget that. That's not a calm & gentle conversation to have. Indya is not one of Hope's little friends, she's her mother. And regardless of how embarrassed She may be of her parents "toxicity," she will not disrespect her in her 4.9gb house.

There's so much more that I could say but I will just leave with this:

One thing Darren & Indya have always done is showed up for their children. They love the shit outta them kids & each other. That in itself is growth. Look at where they came from, hell. They show up and show out for their kids...aht aht! let's not breeze past "The Spring Fling" chapter so quickly...or the talk Indya had with Hope about sex...or the one when she was advising hope to explore more things she likes rather than boys. Or hell, even the talk Darren had with Elliot (at the Spring Fling).

I believe we tend to forget sometimes that healing is literally a process, that growth isn't overnight, and it's a rollercoaster to say the least. A couple therapy sessions with the good Doc isn't going to "make everything go away." But these two are putting in the work, daily. And it most definitely shows. Hell, right before Hope ran away after the Bad Boys II scene Indya literally had an aha moment about them not continuing to do things as they've always done them (when it comes to Hope & boys). Now I won't say how I feel about the Bad Boy II-esque scene because we'll really be here all day. But I will say, Jayce ass do look 30. A healthy ass beard...that fully connects...at 18. Nah champ! You're not fooling me.🤣 (as a matter of fact, Hope lemme take home boy off your hands you need to be in them books anyway) Lol.

With all that being said, I don't believe this is going to damage Hope & Indya's relationship. Because in the midst of Indya going off on her she was reassuring her. Indya literally told her something along the lines of how she could never be a failure to them. She also took accountability for the decisions Hope makes by saying something along the lines of "It makes us a failure when our daughter chooses the streets."

The Drake's (as we all are) are a work in progress. Leaning to navigate this shit all while learning to rid themselves of the weight that was not theirs to carry in the first place.

My mind was running fifty-leven miles a minute, so I hope I made sense. 🤣

Thank you for telling stories that allow us all to have this type of discourse. This shit gets heavy at time but honestly that's the beauty of it. You take us on a wild ride, make us a-kee-kee, and cry all in the matter of minutes.
