Writing update but I did more!

5061.

I went from 2792 words to 5061 words! I am now at ten pages. Now all I have to do is make a habit of this. Thankfully it seems the hardest part as always is just getting started. Once I start doing it it's a lot easier to keep going!

Writing update for today

I think i've done more words than I intended!

However it was less "make progress in the story" more

"you know what woudl be funny? if the mushrooms could dance."

So now the mushrooms have a wiggling problem

I'm gonna just justify it with "the dancing shakes the snow off so it dosen't hurt the mushrooms fleshy caps" in my head. Thankfully my protagonist isin't very obervant so she probably won't think too hard about why they dance.

Writing day 2 4/29/2021

Woops diddin't write yesterday but the elven kingdom is now named with the help of a friend of mine who's native language is Finnish which I always felt had a very dragony-mouth-feel

I did however have a great day and went to go into three very nice tree houses. So I would say it was still sucessful in some way.

don't worry we obeyed covid guidelines <3 though I admit it's quite hard to handle going up and down ladders in the hot sun wearing a mask, but I managed just fine.

It actually protected my face from the sun which was great because I'm about as pale as a paper towel roll someone left in bleach.

todays goal is simple, gonna try to do 200 words minimum.

I used to do this a lot as a kid, but I had a 5,000 word minimum because kids don't have a good grasp of "reasonable goals" and "normal sane people don't try to write that many pages per day" and proceeded to do that for a full summer before becoming completely burnt out on writing for a while, but what else is new about me?

So this cat has learned to pace herself and is gonna do her best.

Wish her luck, her being me of course, give me the luck, i need it, don't give it to "her" whoever that is. "her" cannot be trusted, they are an entity that wishes for nothing but your favorite left sock. Beware "her." Have a great day!

Oh yeah and todays funfact is

the elven kingdom is now officially called Tairakas!

Writing goal day 1

today’s goal is to come up with a good name for the mostly-human kingdom and then to do at least thirty minutes of writing or if possible, complete one writing “part” thingy cause I have a list of my planned stuff I”m doing.

on an unrelated note, my dog Maggi was following around a family friend while he did lawn work, they both proceeded to have terrible terrible allergies and cough all day afterwards because that’s what happens when you inhale a lot of pollen.

maybe keeping a diary will help me keep writing.

right now i’m writing this blog post instead of writing

I hope if anyone reads this book they’ll have a good laugh at my expense

(just you wait, five years later youll see writing day 2 and it’ll just be the words “I got a little distracted for a little while”) Just kidding I can do this, If I say I can do it enough times, I will be able to. Positive thinking right?

Gotta convince myself. I’m pretty gullible so that shouldn’t be too hard.

I still haven’t named the places and I plan to do that today because I really don’t want to go back and have to edit that.

So I found an old Heart gold safe file from 2011

it’s almost ten years old now but not quite yet. Turns out I really suck at video games despite having played them since I was like, three years old.

So I was only on my first badge of the game. So I decided to keep playing from there and am currently on my fourth badge I do believe. So I might do some writing based on my adventures in there. Somehow it’s more immersive than it was when I was a kid even... I might even draw some stuff. for now I just felt like sharing that.
