I now have access to "student job offer portal" with "amazing opportunities" so looked it up out of curiosity

- year long "project" to build / market apps for for profit startup company, you get "paid" by study points (worth only 2 weeks of normal studies)

- 12/hr to brainwash middle schoolers into capitalist mindset for 3-5 hours a week. Some sort of child labor camp painted as local business philantrophy.

- the horrible company my mom worked for a bit (and what radicalized her into labor union) is having recruitment event like they aren't constantly on the news for the most awful stuff

And you wonder why "Nobody wants to work anymore"?

#i am sorry but 12/hr was my no previous expertise nor pedagogic knowledge needed summwr job pay over 10 years ago???#the type of person okay with 50/week pay to teach kids I would not want near my kids #although the thought did cross my mind to covertly teach them communism instead i think that i can do for 12/hr #or going to the rekry event with Questions to make sure nobody falls for their PR - even if you're desperate for work atleast go in prepared #work life #capitalism #my sister did do one of those “projects” for her final but it was for a museum - I can dig that #volunteering for non-profits relevant to your interests? hell yea! it is the free labor for for profits that I do not fck with
