Hongjoong:

• tbh, he gets jealous quite often, even at the smallest stuff but most of the time he manages to conceal it well.

• He's immediately besides you and whoever that guy is that you're enjoying talking to so much, my man would literally burn holes with his eyes whenever he's jealous. seriously, he gives such an intense stare to the person he perceives as a threat, although he trusts you a lot, he tends to get a little too protective of you...... cuz he loves you so much, ofcourse. He clings his arm with yours, sending a signal that you're ready to go.

•"Who even was that?" He asks, annoyance oozing in this voice as you turn back to him. Or "I didn't know you were that close...." would be his classic statement whenever a guy he doesn't know seems to get a little too close to you.

Seonghwa:

• Seonghwa tends to get a lot more clingy than usual whenever he's jealous. Not just clingy, but he'll purposely call you as "honey" "sweetheart" "babe" repeatedly in front of whoever made him jealous and protective of you in the first place.

• Something like "babe, we're getting late, let's go." he says, while entering the scene, emphasizing on the word babe a lil too much.

• As he says this, he'll eye up the guy in front of you up and down, almost in a judging manner, and effortlessly snakes an arm around your shoulder, bringing you closer to him, as if sending him a signal that you're his and his only. After you're done conversing with that guy, he'll literally jump on you, asking "what did he say to you?" demanding all details of your convo with him.

Yunho

• Another one who gets jealous more often than he wants to. If y'all remember, yunho himself admitted once that he "gets jealous too much/often" soo it's safe to say that he would be quite possessive of his s/o.

• When he notices that you're taking too much time conversing with whoever is your "new company", he crosses his arms, sighing as he watches you both, and matches towards your direction with a blank expression and sour smile (which looks kinda scary tbh)

• And then, voilà, you're getting dragged impossibly closer to him by the waist. His arm slides under your waist sideways, his grip firm and tight and that has goosebumps forming all over your skin. He doesn't even make eye contact with the guy in front of you, practically avoids him and once you're both alone, he says "do you talk to him often?" sensing that you do and he hates even the thought of you being close to him.

Yeosang

• Yeosang isn't really the jealous type. That's just how he is, and even if the slightest pang of jealousy hits him he conceals it so well that you've never seen his possessive side before.

• One day, you literally asked him out of the blue "you've never gotten jealous before, seeing me with some other guy, have you?" and yeosang laughs, literally LAUGHS because that was so random. but you sounded serious so he had to stop laughing and give you a reply. "what, you want me to get jealous? possessive? wouldn't that be annoying though?" he replied, staring at you. "why would it be? it shows how much you want me. i would actually love it if you act a bit possessive of me sometimes." you say, pouting, and yeosang just kisses your cheek, saying "alright, I'll try."

• And when the day comes when you ACTUALLY witness him being jealous for once, you're satisfied with his reaction. Yeosang noticed that you were gone away for quite a long time and went looking for you, only to find you talking to a guy he didn't know and you seeming to enjoy talking with him. Interwining his fingers with yours in a heartbeat, he asks "Hope I'm not interrupting? Y/n, love, let's go now, it's getting late." And when you're both alone, you pull his cheeks playfully, praising him and begging him to act more jealous like this cuz that's HOT of him (did I lie)

San

• He's literally both cute and scary when he actually gets jealous. He tries his best to not get jealous of the smallest stuff but sometimes he cannot hide his jealousy.

• He's the type to become restless when you aren't around. Literally staring at you both while sending death glares to the guy in front of you, his feet tapping impossibly faster on the floor.

• When he decides that it's his last straw when he notices the guy trying to get closer to you, he's there besides you in no time, smiling sweetly at you, not even acknowledging that guy. Placing a soft, quick kiss on your cheek, he brings your hand to his, suggesting you to check out those other food stalls with him.

Mingi

• He's DRAMATIC when he's jealous. When the princess itself gets jealous? It's over for you. You have to give him hundred times more kisses, cuddle him the entire night and hold his hand till eternity, all until he feels better ;D

• He'll barge in when you and the unknown guy are having a convo, introducing himself as your boyfriend. He'll literally tug on your arm sleeves, a small cute pout forming on his face and he stays like that until you exchange your goodbyes with that guy, finally alone with him.

• Rarely, he gives you silent treatment when he gets jealous. And you're always able to tell that he's jealous from the way he gets too quite rather than being talkative as usual. He denies it when you ask him about it, but immediately dissolves into a fit of giggles and a precious smile when you kiss him firmly on the lips and murmur I love you all over again. Really, that's all it takes for mingi to feel assured and happy.

Wooyoung

• 100 % scary when he's jealous. A little dramatic, might I add. He gets jealous quite often and doesn't shy away from showing that he's possessive of you.

• His last straw would be when you're flashing your incredible eye smile to that guy in front of you while talking to him, a smile that's reserved for wooyoung only. He appears being you in no time, back hugging you and wraps his arms around your waist tightly, placing his chin on your shoulder, sending death glares to the guy in front of you, not letting go of you unless that guy finally decides to leave.

• "What was so funny that you were laughing at literally every word he said?" Wooyoung asked, bitterly, lowering his eyes. "Don't worry, babe, he wasn't as funny as you. No one makes me laugh like you do, that was just a....fake laugh." You assured him, pulling his cheek playfully. He shrugs if off and makes sure to cling to you like a koala the entire day.

Jongho

• Something tells me that jongho hates admitting that he's feeling jealous. He does get jealous sometimes but it's mostly when something he senses someone else getting physically closer to you. He usually doesn't have a problem when you're just having a conversation with someone.

• So, when someone does try to get physically closer to you, he's there besides you immediately, snaking an arm around your shoulder. otherwise, he doesn't approach the person you're talking to since he doesn't want to come off as clingy to you.

• "I don't get a good vibe from him. He was trying to get close to you all the time." He admits, not out of jealousy, rather protectiveness. "If he was, i wouldn't let him. Don't worry babe, he was just an acquaintance." You assure him, kissing him lightly on the lips, causing jongho's cheeks to heat up as he hums, satisfied.

Hey y'all, I've hit some big milestones in the past month fandom-wise, particularly some big round numbers of tumblr followers and my first fic(s) to hit 1000 kudos, ever, which is mind blowing to me as someone who's mostly existed to this point in pretty quiet fandoms. I'm also imminently posting my 100th work on AO3, and all of this calls for a celebration!

Ugh, sometimes I'm a fucking genius and Hella good at cooking, I swear. I'm even delusional enough to genuinely think that some of my dishes may compare to Senshi's.

So lemme share with y'all what I made for dinner tonight, as a partially depressed international student:

First and foremost, ingredients:

Onions

Carrots

Kimchi

Tomatoes

Udon noodles

✨ Smietana ✨ (but sour cream or cream fresh is also fine, just see that it's at least 18% of fat)

Cheese (optional)

Spices (salt, pepper, curry, svanskaya salt, something for meat that my brother brought to me from Kyrgyzstan, curcuma, chmeli-suneli)

Now onto the preparation:

So, ease it out on ourselves and make the final preparation easy and take no more than 15 minutes we have to do some pre preparation. Pre-prep, if you will. DW, it's not gonna take much time either, but better to have this shit stoked up in your freezer and just unfreeze it whenever you need it.

So, cut your onions as you'd like, I personally prefer thin half rings, but you do you. Grate the carrots, see that the proportions are to your liking (I like 50/50). Then, dump the onions onto a heated pan with hot oil (nice to use olive oil and add some butter but we ain't rich, so just sunflower oil). On medium low heat fry them until they're soft. Or carmelize them, if you have time, energy and pride. I don't, so... Next, add the carrots. Mix it all well and start dumping the spices. Whatever you like, tbh, you may use my list for reference, but I really don't know what the hell is this spice from Kyrgyzstan and neither my brother who brought it, so... Eh. Mentally enter my mind and guess whatever the fuck it is from my sensory memories, ig. Now, cook until carrots are soft, also on medium low heat. Done, the pre prep is done. Just put aside how much you wanna use for the dish and freeze the rest in small portions to use later.

Now, the dish itself: heat the pan and add oil, add the onion-carrot prep (if it's been in your fridge for a week, if you just made it just don't take it out of the pan), add diced tomatoes and kimchi, let it sit for a few minutes, dump the udon noodles (or ramen, also works, as well as any other type of cooked noodles or pasta). Let it cook. Once ready, put into a bowl, add ✨ smietana ✨ and cheese, stir until cheese is melted and enjoyed!

About those Tyrion endgame spoilers...

As I mentioned to an anon earlier this week, I went back and rewatched two of Friki’s videos discussing his information and details around it and S8. 

The post is long and full of spoilers.

Between [ ] are my comments, in light of 8x01-04. If it sounds in first person it’s because I directly translated some larger parts so just think of it as subtitles of their videos :))

The very first video is this one here from October 25th 2018.

In this video friki & javi say that Bryan Cogman was there at the meeting between GRRM & D&D where GRRM told them the ending of the books. So these are the 4 people who know the ending of GoT and ASOIAF.

There are 2 more people who each know a different part of the ending: the editor of GRRM and person who adapts the books to comic books (5 volumes for now) – so these 2 realised just in 2017 that they had different parts of the ending, so when they met and talked about it, they put the two together and discovered the entire ending. The editor knew the ending of Bran Stark, and the comics adaptor knew the ending of Tyrion Lannister.

Friki is the one who uncovered the Tyrion trial spoiler – Friki’s sources are different from Javi’s. But after Friki’s sources told him about the Tyrion trial, Javi’s sources corroborated the info.

Friki’s info about Tyrion’s trial for treason came from a verified and sure source, directly from the filming of the Dragon Pit site aka Italica in Sevilla. Javi’s other 2 sources (that don’t even know Friki, that Friki doesn’t even know them) that have corroborated the info, are also very sure and reliable (one of which Javi calls special and close to him), and they confirmed that what they filmed in Italica was Tyrion’s trial for treason.

An important nuance to this info: in the trial, the person who leads the trial is Ser Davos Seaworth, but he is using Bran’s testimony, who we can safely say that keeping in mind the previous seasons’ flashbacks, is the most reliable witness one can hope for. And we know they intended to use a similar scene in Littlefinger’s trial, which they deleted, but in which Sansa and Arya went to Bran and asked him for help with Littlefinger, and Bran used his abilities to go back and confirm his treasons. Javi believes they took this scene out to make it even more shocking and dramatic (and so that we’d think Arya was on trial).

In Tyrion’s trial, Bran will be more important, he will speak and he will relate a private conversation between Catelyn Stark and Tyrion Lannister. Friki’s sources told him a phrase that will be revealed “I never bet against my family”, which they haven’t said in the show, but this direct phrase can still change obviously (before the official episode), because he was told that Tyrion’s monologue to defend himself is so good that he would be shocked if he doesn’t get another Emmy for it, it will be very dramatic and emotional [in the books: "Whatever you may believe of me, Lady Stark, I promise you this – I never bet against my family." And I know some people dismissed Friki for this, but Friki never claimed Tyrion said this in the show…].

Circling back, why does the person who adapts the story to the comics knows the endgame of Tyrion Lannister? There’s a phrase from Game of Thrones that’s the theme of Tyrion’s entire arc (which Javi is sure it’s very possible to be this exact phrase Friki heard). The story goes that this dude gave GRRM the first draft of his transformation of 800-900 pages in comic books. And apparently GRRM told him “you’re missing a phrase that is vital for Tyrion’s last scene from the last book”. If we connect this with the fact that the adaptor of the comics said that GRRM told him Tyrion’s ending, then it makes sense for this to fit with what Friki and Javi have corroborated from their sources. This makes Friki think we see the trial and potentially the death (that they cannot confirm because it wasn’t filmed in Seville) through Bran Stark’s eyes aka POV – so if GRRM’s editor knows Bran’s endgame then it means we will get Tyrion’s ending from Bran’s POV (in the books). Which would make sense, because the very first chapter (notwithstanding the prologue) of the books is Bran’s POV, which also relates an execution. In a previous video Javi and Friki were speculating and saying how it would make sense for Bran to close the books, just as he opened them, since it’s a common technique books use. So wouldn’t it be cool to see the echo of that first trial Bran witnesses, of a dude that has been executed for deserting the NW because he claims to have seen the Others, so Ned Stark takes his head (“The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword”)? Javi thinks that it is very important to remember that Ned Stark didn’t care the motives for which the man deserted the NW, the only important thing for him was that he abandoned the NW (here it was to tell humanity about the Others); the punishment for it is death, so he is executed. Hence, he thinks in Tyrion’s trial, it will not matter the reasons why he did it, just that he did it, and the punishment for treason is death. Javi here was thinking it would be a great echo and parallel if Tyrion would kill innocents so that they wouldn’t be turned into Others (wights) [keep in mind, at this point they both thought the NK could arrive in KL, but it was just a theory, not a leak]. So both the NW’s deserter and Tyrion are judged and sentenced, and then executed, and both times from Bran’s POV.

Friki interjects and says Javi just said a semi-spoiler when he said “a person sentenced for provoking the death of innocents” – so then he links this to the new spoilers Javi has: what happened in Belfast? Javi’s sources in Belfast, also very reliable, told him the last scene Peter Dinklage filmed for GoT (which ofc is not the scene that is to come after the one of the trial in Seville, because they don’t film in chronological order, but depending on the sets and schedules and availabilities) this is confirmed as Peter’s last scene in GoT in the last episode; it is not the very last scene of the episode, but one of the scenes of the last episode. Javi keeps saying Peter will definitely win an Emmy for his trial monologue in the Dragon Pit aka Seville.

The scene goes: Tyrion is accompanied by two people – Ser Davos Seaworth and (the King or the Future King of the 7K) Jon Snow, walking through King’s Landing. A lot of people kept arguing back and forth on Jon’s survival in the Dance of dragons above KL [debunked or not, we don’t know yet; maybe Friki said this because REMEMBER AT THAT TIME he trusted Boatsexbaby’s info about the DotD above KL!]. All of this (aka the walk of these 3 characters) happens after the big fire, after the destruction of KL. Apparently he says that he already said that Arya was inside when KL went up in flames, but that she manages to get out because we know Arya is in fact present at Tyrion’s trial. So after KL goes up in flames, we have Jon Snow alive and kicking. They say Davos is leading the trial because Davos has been a witness, together with Jon Snow (King of the 7K or Governor – so his exact title is unconfirmed at this point) of what happened in KL – which is destroyed and is full of carbonized bodies. Javi had a previous information from Belfast that there was a scene with more than 600 extras and they were are yelling and screaming “Open the gates”, which he thinks means that the gates of KL are closed and the people can’t get out when the flames are engulfing KL so this means the flames will finally destroy KL and kill a big part of the population (maybe some manage to get out).

But why did these people die? Who is responsible for all these deaths? Tyrion Lannister. Friki says this is very possible because then we have another scene. Javi goes on to say that scene where Jon, Davos and Tyrion walking together, the camera focuses on Tyrion’s face and his reaction and his face is saying “what have I done?”. Again, the carbonated cadavers in KL is 100% confirmed info.

Why is Tyrion on trial for treason? They say there will be many factors, but one of those very important reasons, is that because of Tyrion hundreds, thousands of innocents have died. Again, Tyrion has a motive for it, he did it so that the people wouldn’t turn into others [again, this was a theory, but it still stands that Tyrion believes he is doing it for the right reasons]. Friki adds that Javi’s sources told Javi that in that scene there are no Others (aka no wights, no WW, nothing). In fact, they told him there are no Others inside the walls surrounding the Red Keep, and generally speaking in KL [I think here they were going off of BSB’s leak of the NK arriving in KL, hence the speculation about Tyrion’s reason of not opening the gates, despite the fact that they both knew here there were no wights or WW in KL!]. So Friki says that to him this means that the invasion of the dead has been contained before the NK arrives in KL and gets millions to add to his Army. Because we know the wights are flammable so it seems reasonable to think that a good solution is to let them go up in flames.

Friki says that this leaves a lot of room for speculation and adds “but then where is the NK killed?”, because he has to be slayed before the destruction of KL happens. Javi said he has no info on this, and he can only theorise. Friki adds “it seems that the dance of the dragons leak may be true, hence why the prequel of it wasn’t picked up…” also Javi adds that a very reliable source said that the rumours of Valyria prequel were all lies. So Friki thought that the NK’s death had not only to happen before the destruction of KL but it also had to do with the dance of dragons [this bit is speculation only!].

[LMAO listen to this] Friki already says it would be such a big mistake to not have a one on one sword fight between Jon Snow and the NK with a new blade made by Gendry with Sam’s and Bran’s help… because we had so many intense stares between Jon and the NK so there’s a build up for something …. ahh Friki, who knew we were in for this much disappointment… then he also theorised how the physical place for this fight is post the dance of dragons; so maybe the KL fire is happening at the same time, which would explain Tyrion’s on the moment decision to not open the gates; and we also were told in S7 y Tyrion himself the population of KL aka 1 million.

Javi thinks that the battle will finish in episode 5 aka second to last, and the 6th will be the aftermath. Whereas friki thinks that we will have the big fight in episode 6 so that we get the climax at the end. But Javi thinks ep 5 because of Sapochnik and ep 6 is aftermath because it’s directed by D&D. Friki also believes in a cliff-hanger (including maybe to make people think Arya is going to die) in the 5th and the resolution in the 6th and we see Arya escaping from the fire (which he is sure she does since she was at the trial).  

Friki then brings up all the aerial shots they filmed and they have to use at some point. He confirms the info he has that there were aerial shots in Iceland [boom 8x01 😉 and 8x04 seeing from the trailer]. They also have info that they also have shots of the Castillo de Almodóvar del Río, which was used as the Castle of Highgarden – which doesn’t make much sense since we have no more Tyrells. So what are they doing with Highgarden? Giving it to Samwell Tarly maybe (Javi thinks so)? Friki says that apparently there are scenes that were filmed in a particular form. It made Friki think of a raven flying over the various castles in Westeros. Javi thinks it would make sense and it reminds him of the end scene of The Wire, which has a review of all the characters and locations in Baltimore. Maybe we’ll get a similar thing with Westeros and the people in GoT, to see how life goes on.

Friki addresses the people who think that Tyrion’s treason doesn’t make sense. But both him and Javi think Tyrion has always been a grey character, that has light but also darkness in him. Javi interjects how he doesn’t like Tyrion because the fandom seems to have raised him up as a saint when he has done very bad things, like killing Shae and his dad, and in the books. He also thinks that Tyrion’s face when boatsex was happening was there for a reason. Friki brings up the behind the scenes with Peter when he is asked about that scene and he says it’s because if these two, jonerys, are together it can complicate things. Then a year-ish later he was asked the same thing and he changed his answer, and suddenly brings up that Tyrion may have feelings for Dany. And Friki also brings up the interview with Jimmy Kimmel who says “you’re one of the good guys”, to which Peter replies “maybe”. Maybe he is being a troll, but this is true. Then Friki brings up how the SFX supervisor jokes how he could tell the journalists in which episode Tyrion dies, but then he changes his tune and acts a bit dramatic about it. Then Peter in an interview before the Emmys talks about Tyrion’s fate and future, and says that he think’s it’s beautiful, even if it’s dramatic or not. So Peter kind of opens the door on the opportunity that Tyrion may end up badly.

And about the legend of unkillable characters, it only applies to the books, not the show, like Arya being the favourite’s character of George’s wife and she said he could kill anyone but Arya. This is book only. And there is no legend about Tyrion. Even if Tyrion is one of George’s favourites, but he said he most identifies with Sam.

Javi is the one to bring up people saying that the end of the series will be jonerys ruling and it would be beautiful and romantic; but if Tyrion dies, it dampens that, makes it bittersweet; or if they are rulers over a destroyed KL because of a big fire, they’re rules of ashes, so it doesn’t seem as beautiful or as romantic of an ending to him. Friki adds that if all these people die in such a traumatic way, how and why would KL be the capital of the 7K?

Javi confirmed that WF will be destroyed and rebuilt. Friki add that another leak he has says that WF is being rebuilt as Tyrion’s trial is happening.

Will KL continue to be the capital? Good question. We should also keep in mind that all the people who are present at Tyrion’s trial it all looks like a Council of the Realm, including the GC. It almost looks like it’s the people who are judging Tyrion. Friki says that he has 2 versions about the person dressed in gold : first version says the person is dressed in GOLD ARMOUR and the second person says in GOLDEN CLOTHES. He sent this second person a picture of Oberyn Martell dressed in gold and he asked “something like this?” and they replied “yes something similar” (Javi doesn’t have this info). But Friki says the contradiction between the two sources is something to keep in mind. Toby Osmond has been identified as a royal, and he is dressed in gold – so this person would perfectly fit in the role these two sources told Friki about. But who is left from Dorne? Javi says that D&D can simply invent a hidden Sand of Oberyn’s or whatever else person to represent Dorne since they fucked it up big time. Javi even says he could be an Yronwood, second most important house after Martell [in 8x04 we got confrimation that Dorne in back in the game and on Dany’s side].

And then the last unknown character is an old dude dressed in green, who has between 50-60 years, with short beard. The theory circulating on the web is that this one is Howland Reed, who would be there to potentially legitimate Jon Snow’s parentage since he was there with Ned (remember we had the Tower of Joy scene). Javi really likes this possibility of it being Howland Reed. Friki says that if D&D don’t take this opportunity to give Howland a big role in the Council of the Realm, they would be fools. So even if this info hasn’t been confirmed, he thinks it would fit well in the grand scheme of things.

Javi is convinced that everything that has to do with Tyrion’s trial comes from GRRM since it will also happen in the books. And GRRM when he was saying some stuff isn’t the same in the two, it was quite close to the release of Fire and Blood, in which we were told the Wall is a magical barrier in both ways, aka the dragons can’t cross it so the wight hunt is invalidated, that’s all D&D.

There was a detail in the Dragon Pit – there is some snow there, but like barely, as if the snow has almost entirely melted down. So how come? If there is almost no snow in the Dragon Pit when we have seen it snowing in KL, it also seems that when the NK dies, the winter goes away. So maybe we’ll get to see it green beyond the Wall. GRRM has always said that the reason for the long winters is magic. So it is logical if the Others disappear, so will the winters.

Not gonna add much from this one because they rediscuss stuff from the one above. But the important points in this video were:

They say again: what was filmed in Sevilla will for sure happen.

Friki was the very first to get the info; he asked Javi and Javi asked around and his sources (2 different sources) then came through and confirmed what Friki had. Friki has 100% faith in it.

They confirm that the people yell “Open the gates” ; and Watchers on the Wall confirmed that KL burns, and we see buildings’ roofs burning.

Friki and Javi say that WF falls for sure; 

They say they have various sources saying different stuff about Jaime: dying in 8x03 or 8x04 or 8x05.

my eurovision top 39 songs (finally)

anyway i finally got my top 39 completed. under a read more because it can get kinda long with the commentary i added klfdja;sflk (and by that i mean VERY long, maybe a wall of text if i have a lot to say about the song.)

none of this takes rehearsals into account.

basically, 39-37 i don't like, 36-35 are meh, 34-25 are decent, 24-18 are good, 17-12 i enjoy listening to a lot, 11-4 i love, and I would pay for votes for top 3 if i could.

39. Azerbaijan - Efendi - Mata Hari - Honestly, I kinda want to like this song. The instrumentation is nice, especially with the Azeri instruments. Efendi's vocals are ok during the verses. However, her vocals during the MA-MA-MA-MATA HARI part makes this song utterly unlistenable for me. It is just so distracting and ear-grating. Not great for my sensitive ears. And that is without taking anything else into account.

38. Estonia - Uku Suviste - The Lucky One - For some reason reminds me of a boring modern country song. Bland af. At least the melody of the chorus is nice.

37. Cyprus - Elena Tsagrinou - El Diablo - Discount Lady Gaga at the best points of this song. Feels like three songs at once. Also, the lyrics seem like they just went all "What Spanish-sounding words sound spicy? Taco? Tamale? Mamacita?" As a Spanish speaker and as someone of Mexican descent who enjoys those foods, this annoys the living shit out of me. At least I can make El Diablo/Fallen Angel memes out of this. (Honestly, I don't mind the gratuitous Spanish with the words El Diablo.) Also, this song got real old real quick.

36. Slovenia - Ana Soklič - Amen - The gospel vibe is nice, but there is just too much Christianity in it for me to enjoy this song. Sorry, Ana.

35. Moldova - Natalia Gordienko - Sugar - Sounds like a sugary version of Siren Song by MARUV. Kinda boring, but enjoyable in the right circumstances.

34. Georgia - Tornike Kipiani - You - Good to listen to when mind feels blank. At first I kinda liked this song, but nowadays this song has lost its charm. This won't sound out of place alongside boring 70s slow classic rock songs.

33. Austria - Vincent Bueno - Amen - Not something I would listen to regularly, but still nice. For me, easily the biggest downgrade from 2020.

32. Greece - Stefania - Last Dance - Pleasant to listen to, not much else.

31. Portugal - The Black Mamba - Love Is On My Side - Good song, but not my cup of tea. Unfortunately, some great songs have to be near the bottom of my ranking.

30. Germany - Jendrik - I Don't Feel Hate - A fun song to listen to. The novelty wears off after a while. The feel good vibes and ukulele are nice.

29. Israel - Eden Alene - Set Me Free - the song release version was bland and boring, but the revamp. Now THAT is good stuff. The song doesn't seem so empty anymore. I miss the key change from the original, though.

28. Spain - Blas Cantó - Voy A Quedarme - A very emotional and beautiful song from Spain. Again, not usually my cup of tea. However, the melody somehow gives me a nostalgic vibe.

27. North Macedonia - Vasil - Here I Stand - DAMN Vasil has a lovely voice. Nice that he's showing it off here. Too slow of a song for me to enjoy regularly, though.

26. Albania - Anxhela Peristeri - Karma - I don't have much to say other than this song is nice.

25. Bulgaria - VICTORIA - Growing Up Is Getting Old - Pleasant to listen to, but depending on my mood I think this is a beautiful song but not my cup of tea or a complete snoozefest.

24. Serbia - Hurricane - Loco Loco - Fun song, but it feels like something is lacking, and I can't quite put my finger on it.

23. San Marino - Senhit - Adrenalina - Once the initial hype from Flo Rida being on the song died down, this became another typical Eurovision bop.

22. Sweden - Tusse - Voices - At first I thought the song was completely unremarkable and couldn't understand how this won Melodifestivalen. Nowadays it's a nice song to chill to. I gotta respect a perfect televote score from the national final.

21. Ireland - Lesley Roy - MAPS - nice.

20. Croatia - Albina - Tick Tock - Grew on me slightly. Shoutout for including a verse in Croatian.

19. Switzerland - Gjon's Tears - Tout l'Univers - Another grower for me. Doesn't hit as hard as his song from last year, but I dig it.

18. France - Barbara Pravi - Voilà - Lovely chanson right here. I wish it didn't take forever to pick up, though. I was about to completely give up on this song in the middle of my first listen. I'm glad I didn't.

17. Belgium - Hooverphonic - The Wrong Place - Classy. Not much else to say.

16. Ukraine - Go-A - Shum - I'd definitely go rave to this song. I kept finding this song hard to rank due to the white voice. I couldn't decide if I absolutely adored it or if I found it grating. Maybe I just wasn't feeling well when I first thought about it.

15. Lithuania - The Roop - Discoteque - Lots of fun, doesn't have the charm that On Fire had last year. I would dance to this song.

14. Poland - RAFAŁ - The Ride - I actually kinda like this song???? Even with Rafal's vocals??? I know he has political controversies, but I can't help but think this song is nice. A better, less controversial singer would benefit this song, though. I'm not counting the revamp just yet since it was released too recently.

13. Latvia - Samanta Tīna - The Moon Is Rising - This song gives me nostalgic mid to late 2000s hip hop vibes. The guitars in this song are lovely.

12. Romania - ROXEN - Amnesia - Definitely something that can put me in a trance if I'm in the right mood.

11. Czechia - Benny Cristo - omaga - Nice, catchy, I would dance to this.

10. Malta - Destiny - Je Me Casse - Damn, Destiny has a lovely voice! And the song itself is wonderful. I'm not a fan of the amount of Swedish talent being used instead of Maltese talent, but I really do enjoy listening to this.

9. Denmark - Fyr og Flamme - Øve Os På Hinanden - another really fun song! This really grew on me. Nowadays if I want to listen to a Eurovision song, this is one of the first songs I think of.

8. The Netherlands - Jeangu Macrooy - Birth of a New Age - I can vibe with this. You can hear the passion in this song. I wish I could let my body do the talking right now, but y'all can't see that with just a tumblr text post.

7. Russia - Manizha - Russian Woman - I was NOT expecting this to come out of Russia when it won the national final. I wasn't expecting to like this either. The message is great, the instrumental is great, everything about this is brilliant.

6. United Kingdom - James Newman - Embers - A funky song. I LOVE James's voice. Massive upgrade from last year in my opinion. I'm a sucker for brass in an upbeat song. Unfortunately, I have had the staging kinda spoiled and I am VERY skeptical about this coming out of bottom five. I'm done with the BBC.

5. Australia - Montaigne - Technicolour - There is a Lot happening in this song and I am all in for it. I'm kinda terrible at parsing lyrics, but it's a non-issue when I can follow Montaigne's voice and forget about the lyrics. Ironically enough, it's Montaigne's voice that also worries me this Eurovision season - mostly whether she was able to pull off her live on tape performance off.

4. Iceland - Daði og Gagnamagnið - 10 Years - I didn't think Daði could pull it off against this year, but he did it. I like this just a little more than Think About Things, which was my favorite song last year. I'm still a little gutted that this pandemic robbed him of a probable victory, but I've made peace with it. I still need to learn the dance moves, though.

3. Italy - Måneskin - Zitti E Buoni - FUCK YEAH A KICKASS ROCK SONG IN EUROVISION! This song gave me massive rock en español vibes on my fist listen, and honestly this is something I would bang my head to if I had the same body I did when I was 15.

2. Norway - TIX - Fallen Angel - I was not expecting to like this song much, let alone becoming THIS obsessed with TIX. In fact, he wasn't even on my radar for winning MGP. I listened to Ut Av Mørket for the first time and thought something like 'this is boring af, but at least it's in Norwegian'. And then he changed it to English, which I wasn't a fan of at first. And then one day the lyrics clicked - especially with my own struggles with mental illness. To this day this is one of only two Eurovision songs to actually make me cry. Even now he still isn't my MGP winner (that honor goes to JORN), but he has definitely won my heart.

1. Finland - Blind Channel - Dark Side - To say that this song kicks ass would be an understatement for me. This song has just the right mix of rock, pop, and even metal. Ever since I found out that this song would be in the national final, I knew that it would be my favorite this whole Eurovision season regardless of who won UMK. Yes, my jaw dropped when I saw the lead Blind Channel had in UMK. I literally cancelled my plans to watch the MGP final live because of these guys. I am not disappointed. Even Måneskin couldn't bring these guys down in my ranking. And while the lyrics might be a bit iffy, they did get me through rough times. I hope these guys are able to bring rock music back like they want to. But for now, I will give them my (useless tbh) douze points.

So we're all excited about the PJO TV adaption. I scavenged the internet to look up actors to play the Olympian gods (including Hades). This is part 1. The other 6 gods will be included next time.

Pierce Brosnan as Zeus. He is exactly what I picture Zeus to look like (minus the beard). Just put in a fake beard and voilà, our most hated Olympian.

Ezra Miller as Papa Poseidon. Ik y'all want Logan Lerman to play Poseidon but, dude, Ezra fits PERFECTLY. He could also play Hermes tho. But I prefer Poseidon. Lemme know about y'all's opinion!!

Papa Patty (Patrick O'Connell) as Hades. Patrick, according to me atleast, looks like a perfect Hades. Y'all need to see his Instagram. Most will know him as Billie Eilish's dad. (I really wanna give Billie a role but she doesn't do acting😭)

Angelina Jolie as Hera. No, I do not have anything against Angelina. I'm only choosing her cuz she looks like she could nail a Greek chiton and braid aka Hera's sad excuse for fashion.

Hello friends! Some of you may have noticed that even though I’m pretty active on this blog I haven’t put out an imagine in quite some time now and I thought I should adress that.

I don’t have any special reason or excuse as to why I haven’t uploaded anything. The only explanation I have is simple: school is stressful. The school I go to isn’t exactly the easiest and we always have a lot of things going on, whether that be homework or some project that has to be done. Keep in mind that schools in Europe are different from the US when it comes to subjects and most importantly time tables. The months from October up until Christmas are very hectic. I have tests and exams every other day, lots of homework and big projects that take a lot of time to prepare. Besides that I also have my “extra-curricular” for which I’m going to be doing some stuff and other school related things. I’m a good student and school is my number 1 priority. Although it’s fairly easy for me to keep up my grades I still study and work hard to reach my goals.

Pair all of that with trying to have a social life, being uninspired and stressing yourself out because of all of the above and voilà: you have the perfect recipe for disaster.

I know I’m being whiny but I’m not trying to find any excuses. I simply want to let all of you know what’s going on. So, in conclusion: I don’t have time to write, I lost every ounce of inspiration I’ve ever had and I don’t have pre-written imagines I could upload which is why I haven’t posted anything. I also want to apologize to anyone that sent in requests. I really am sorry. Those are going to be the first things on my to-do list when I start writing again. As of right now, I don’t think I’m going to be taking requests; simply because I don’t want to disappoint anyone. ok so I've just had an awesome meal that was only 300 kcal. I know that for some of you that is quite a lot, but I think this is gonna keep me full for awhile.

Here's what you need:

- 50g whole wheat spaghetti ��� (175)

- 250 ml water 💦 (0)

- half a boullion cube 💫 (18)

- a small carrot 🥕 (25)

- 5 cherry tomatoes 🍅 (20)

- half an onion 🔪 (12)

- 2 tbsp cream cheese 🧀 (40)

= 290 kcal and I didnt even use a low-fat version of cream cheese and you can leave something out, e.g. the tomatoes or the onion.

How to do it:

Take a deep pan and pour the 250 ml water in, add the boullion cube. Cut the carrot into small pieces and put them in. When the broth is boiling, put the spaghetti in (I broke mine in halves so they would fit). Now cut the onion and tomatoes in slices and add them as well. Let boil until spaghetti al dente and there's not so much liquid anymore, then stir in the cream cheese for a creamier consistency and voilà! I also added salt, pepper and tabasco, but yoz can season with anything. So yummy and at the same time healthy and low in calories.

How We Are Staying Safe and Sane in the Age of Quarantine | Staff Article

As the days of quarantine due to the novel cornoavirus continue to pile up, it is all too easy to lose track of oneself, let alone what day of the week it is. This holds equally true for the Ones To Watch staff who currently find themselves under a lockdown in Los Angeles that is set to continue at least until the end of April. 

So, what exactly do we do when stuck at home for the foreseeable future? Play a lot of Animal Crossing and finally learn to cook with the leftovers in our freezer. This is how the Ones To Watch staff is staying safe and sane in the age of quarantine.

Island Escapism 

Animal Crossing: New Horizons could not have arrived at a better time. Amongst my friend group, the latest entry of the popular franchise is the first foray into the series for many of us, myself included. 

The part-life-simulator, part-resource-management game populated by adorable creatures gives a virtual space for us to visit each other’s houses, exchange clothes, and create our own a little oasis on a deserted island. It is the antithesis of the current state of the world. More than anything, this far too charming video game has served as a crucial bit of island life escapism in these uncertain times we currently find ourselves. I also now have the freedom to spend three hours making a rendition of the lofi hip-hop study girl in Animal Crossing, so there’s that.

Cheez-Its, White Claw, and Home Decor

I don’t even know what day of quarantine we’re at anymore, but mine has consisted mostly of extra toasty Cheez-Its and the new flavors of White Claw (tangerine, ily). It’s been a hard health balance, because I feel like I’m working out more with all the IG Live-stream Hot 8 Yoga classes but the amount I’ve been boredom-eating has easily quadrupled. So… I’m over here being proud of myself for getting on my yoga mat, then quickly disappointed after my four Domino’s pizzas get delivered.

On a brighter note, I moved into a new house during the past two weeks! If you think about it, quarantine is probably the best possible time to move because you have no option but to unpack the 5,000 boxes staring at you as you turn on Animal Crossing.

Anime. Lots of it. Recently "borrowed" my buddy's Hulu subscription and they have a ton of great ones. Currently rewatching Yu Yu Hakusho. What a classic. Waffles and TikTok Dances

With the world going on pause, and most of humanity taking time to stay in their homes and avoid the madness occurring, I’ve taken it upon myself to focus on becoming the best person I can. I’ve decided to master my chef skills without completely running through my quarantine stock. 

Some of my dishes include an ice cream waffle sandwich, bacon-wrapped sausage Links on a waffle, or anything that tastes good with waffles. We constantly get lost in our screens – for fun, for work, for idling hours that just seem to fade away. But as the word “lockdown” becomes more pervasive and “stay home” grows synonymous with “stay safe,” fresh air has been the solace of my quarantine. Also, connect with your loved ones. A phone call, a video chat, any form of truly engaging goes a long way right now during this bizarrely universal phenomenon. We’re all home, we’re all washing our hands. When you think of someone, call them. Rarely do we know that the person at the other end is (likely) as bored and as openhearted as you are when you make the call.

Running and Rom-Coms

Running and rom-coms. That’s pretty much all that’s been occupying my time during the lockdown in LA. As someone who has an unhealthy obsession with SoulCycle, I’ve been trying my best to fill the void by running outside and using Aaptiv, a workout app that has guided outdoor runs. I’ve also been binging rom-coms at an embarrassingly high rate. My top five on Netflix to watch if you want a reminder of how single you are: Set It Up, Life As We Know It, He’s Just Not That Into You, Her, and Valentine’s Day.

Bon Mots & Bon Appetite

I'd love to post that I've read these books in the week since I've been social distancing, but these are old music adjacent favorites that will serve you well. All are available on Amazon and kindle if deliveries in your area are delayed: A Visit From the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan, A Brief History of Seven Killings by Marlon James, Kill Your Friends by John Niven.

I am no gourmand, so trust assured all I recommend is easy, especially if your prior version of cooking consented of warming things up. What you really need are the right tools, and short of martial law, all are available at your local major supermarket, Target, Walmart or the like.

Vacum-Sealer: If you, like me, hated cooking primarily because common recipes created a meal for four-plus people and you don't want to repetitively eat said meal for days on end, the vacuum sealer is your solution.

Sous-Vide: This process essentially allows for the most difficult part of cooking to be waylaid, cooking at the right temperature for the right amount of time. How about a device that heats up water to exact temperature and then turns itself off when it's done, its apocalyptic cooking done right. Paired with the vacuum sealer above (although most freezer quality plastic bags work as well), veggies, fish, meat all cook perfectly to the time needed. For flavor, a quick sear, broil or bake makes the ingredients indistinguishable from professional restaurants. Voilà, you are a chef.

Can't be Dahl, really, maybe Hyperion now that I'm not there. People are gonna get killed in the crossfire, kids are gonna grow up to resent Atlas and voilà! The cycle repeats.
