Vladik’s official reference sheet yes that’s a crochet hook as his needle. There’s a reason for it. He has a lot of details to his body that I’m willing to explain via Asks.

The Legend
Dear @youcantdothatpod
Hello, Hockey Coven, it is I, one of the two responsible for the Pierre-Édouard Bellemare DreamBoat Manifesto of old, penning this under my normal Tumblr journal instead of the hockey one for no good reason, and I come to you, with respect, and with full knowledge of certain coven members love of Russian players (though this one is not a Siberian) to ask for either a history lesson or dream boat nomination for my guy - for having an interesting life, to say the least. He is my favorite Russian player. Yes, possibly even over Ovi.
And yet he never made the NHL.
Oh. My. GOD. some listeners must be thinking at this point. Why even BOTHER with this guy??? he’s not in the fucking NHL!
(And can I just say, in this case, we must never be the Bettmans of the hockey world, who was bloated with hubris thinking to bring hockey like a Messiah to the unenlightened Asian continent a few years back [ha ha fuck off, they’ve had hockey here as long as the NHL has existed? I live in Japan btw] and we must not think that the NHL is the end-all-be-all of hockey aspiration. It wasn’t. It isn’t. Times were different. There wasn’t even a KHL at the time our story begins.)
I bring him to your attention because he is THE BEST.
His story begins in the Siberian IHL, passing a pretty tough try-out as a kid to start playing for the Red Army team, CSKA Moscow.
I feel like I ought not throw in all his info here? Maybe just a few highlights? And some comments. Ok who am I kidding it will get long.
Here: Vladislav Tretiak.
Vladislav Aleksandrovich Tretiak, goalie, current president of the IIHFR.
He won a lot of shit. I’ll just link the Wiki here - it’s a list.
He looks kinda like Spock, but in the best red-blooded ways, not that I would ever judge anyone for wanting to get freaky with a green-blooded half-alien. His goalie training looks a lot like cossack dance.
(MUTE THIS VIDEO THO)
youtube
There’s some other worse quality vids of him doing similar and playing with his son, so. There’s that. Skip ahead to the tennis ball part.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrfOsCVakvs
He started hockey kinda late, at age 11.
And Canadian hockeys LOVED him. *See below pic of jersey swap with Wayne Gretzky for proof.
Really, you gasp. Say it ain’t so! Impossible!!!
Truth.
How did the so-called hockey world (which of course was based in NA according to old boring hockey men) discover this Dumbo-eared wunderkind? The 1972 Summit Series.
(Yes, he grew his hair out and covered the mudflaps, and it was MUCH BETTER, sorry Vladdy.)
‘Ho hum,’ said the Canadians, ‘Russia thinks they are good at hockey, how ‘bout we have the Summit Series and quash their pretensions? That gold medal in Sapporo? a FLUKE. Ha ha, look at their goalie, this will be a cakewalk, he let in EIGHT GOALS in this game we just saw, oh well, let’s go have a beer and light up a dart, eh, boys? Eight games, pfft. We’ll sweep them.’
Joke was on them - Vladdy or Vladik was gettiing married the next day and weirdly? Couldn’t concentrate.
Summit Series ended up with one tie, 3 Russian wins and 4 Canadian, with the Canadians playing their dirty rough style, and the Russians their smooth, machine-cog style. That series was a gongshow of biased refereeing, Russian goal judges not turning on goals lights, and teams leaving the bench to have Canadian or Russian tantrums. Actual ankle-breaking occured.
Canadians had two goalies. Russian had one. He was 20. My boy. He KILLED it. And to say the Canadians were pretty horned about about this alien cheekboned man-child after expected a blow-out? MASSIVE understatement, HUGELY horny. As they should have been. Ken Dryden LOVED him. Jacques Plante himself, maybe feeling sorry for the kid, came and talked to him before the tournament started and let him know how different players would try to score. ‘A big help,’ Vladdy said. ‘I don’t know why he did that.’ LOTS of players were in awe. Canada was turned upside, Toronto became Tijuana and nothing was ever the same. The Interest in Russian Players was, officially, a Thing. (Kharlamov was a big part of the interest but that’s a whole ‘nother story.)
The horniness was, in fact, so uncontainable that several NHL teams expressed an interest, and one team was bold enough to draft him in 1983, when he was the ripe age of 31, which at the time was not TOTALLY hockey-old for goalies and players like it is now. Yes, the Habs. Consider that 3 years later rookie Patrick Roy backstopped the Canadiens to several Stanley Cups, and imagine what they could have been even earlier, with Tretiak. HOooooO. Serge Savard hit up Moscow four times during the winter of ‘84 to try and secure his release.
Russian wouldn’t let him go, of course. Tretiak was a only lieutenant-colonel in the Soviet army, and not playing the high level hockey he had previously, and thusly COULD be replaced in the system. Soviet officials ultimately vetoed a transfer. “Oooh his dad was a major, how can we let this son of a distinguished man go and play HOCKEY, it’s a disGRACE!” Or at least that’s what we were told. Okay, Jan.
He quit playing at age 32. Thirty fucking two!!! He’d done his 4th Olympics in a row by this point in 1984, and had the honour of carrying the flag for his nation, though he said it was probably because no one else had done 4 Olympics in a row. He wanted to spend more time with his family, and asked Tikhonov, coach of the national team and CSKA to let him have, ya know. Quality family time. (You’ll remember this douche from previous Russia Hockey Stories.) Tikhonov said, no, you live at the compound like everyone else for 11 months of the year. Ah ha ha.
Roll back a few years, for a grudge. Tretiak, if you’ll recall from the Miracle on Ice, was pulled from the game against the Americans by ol’ Tikky after letting in ONE (1) goal in the first period. All the Russians knew, but would never say until much much later, what a massive mistake that was - and you know the Miracle story anyway. Tretiak said himself it was a mistake, and he wouldn’t have lost the game.
So, all things considered, in spite of having loads of playing life left in those kicky legs, Tretiak noped out and retired, for the reason of being denied time with his family. And not getting to go abroad to play, which was probably a bitter pill and so quitting while he was still useful was a good Fuck You to the officials who used him up like a tissue playing hockey for his team and country. And of course, he was exhausted. At age 32. "I'd played fifteen years with the Army Club and the National Team without a break. Backup goalies came and went, as did three generations of forwards and defensemen, but through four Olympic Games, all the important ones with the professionals, all the World Championships, all the Izvestia tournaments, it was I who played in the net."
Frankly, he should have just defected like others did later. Sent his family to watch him in a tournament and done a Sound-of-Music-esque Von Tretiak escape out the Zamboni exit, over the mountains and far away.
He would have been the first if he had. One of the most famous players in Russia, leaving for a career in the corrupt West. I’m glad he at least thought about it a little, even if it never happened. God, that would have been great. I’m glad that the NHL were able to pull their xenophobic heads from their asses enough to know greatness, and to want that brilliance shining on their teams.
But really, in the end, the man done him dirty. “In spite of aggressive discussions with Soviet authorities, Canadiens' general manager Serge Savard was unable to secure Tretiak's release for Montreal. "I would have loved to play in the Forum," Tretiak admits. "I was hoping to one day play in the NHL. I would have liked to do it even for just one season. Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way. I regret not having the chance." “
Still, the NHL and hockey in NA didn’t forget him. There were laurels left to be given.
He was the first Russian to be inducted into the HHoF, and the first to be entered without ever having played in the NHL.
Was he done with hockey? Heck no. Remember when I said Canadians loved him? It may have been mentioned a time or five.
In 1988, hockey royalty got married - Wayne Gretzky and Janet Jones. Befitting royalty, her dress cost $40,000, and gifts filled three rooms of the hotel. Notably, amongst them was a gold swan from a certain Soviet goalie Vladislav Tretiak. Why??? Swans are good luck, said Vladdy. They mate for life. And lo, the couple is still together.
In 1990, Mike Keenan hired him to be a goalie coach for the Blackhawks, and was (again) so turned on by his mastery that he suggested the 38 year could still play in the NHL? Vladik laughed and said no, but coaching was the next best thing. He worked with the best - Belfour, Hasek, Thibault, and you’ll be shocked that loads of tendies wear his #20 in tribute. He runs - or ran? website not updated in a while - the most challenging goalie school in NA in Toronto in summers.
He worked with the ‘Hawks until 2007, and then went on to be a pillar in Russian hockey leadership. Coach. Etc.
He wrote a book, which was really what got me into Russian hockey - it was wild to me at the time when I read it in high school some (Cough cough) years ago, so alien. But it’s chock full of the stories you love. His first coach Tarasov, wanted him because he was ‘tall’ (6′ is tall in Russia???) and had ‘huge hands’ and reminded him of Jacques Plante. The book’s pretty frank about hockey history and the role ‘Miracle on Ice’ played into a kind of American propaganda, which is refreshing. He was politely horrified by seeing Canadian players smoking. His training was bonkers, and included tree-climbing at speed. The Russian team was always trying new stuff, and one time decided on sports psychology, which a teammate helpfully volunteered Vladik for, ‘He’s the most important player, he’s the last defence, work with him!’ (since no one else wanted to). The positive thinking mantras seemed to work as at the next practice they were amazed by his clean play and kicks. But lol, no, next game he got blown out, and was probably glad to send the sports shrink on the way.
And he was crushed when his teammate, Valeri Kharlamov, with whom he played so long, died at the young age of 33 in a car accident. But Kharlamov is a guy for another section of Hockey Histories.
So. This dream boat.
Ok. I know y’all prefer a defection story, and I think some listeners also? But. Here’s the thing. It’s sexy and romantic but also traumatic as fuck to ditch your country, your life in that political climate, to play the game. And dangerous, shit man. 1983. U.S.S.R.!!! People still got disappeared! It was fine to treat players like garbage and lock them up for months in a compound and not let them see family! And I sometimes get the feeling that people consider the NHL the pinnacle, like, what a fool is Tretiak? who wouldn’t throw away everything to play NHL hockey? But that’s like, Bettman thinking, that the NHL is the best and perfect when we all know it’s fucking garbage, I know the current KHL has issues, SO MANY it would be a three hour podcast to talk about! So there’s no high ground, really. And in the end, Vladislav Tretiak made a choice that did good by himself, going on to a successful post-hockey career and the upper echelons of Russian hockey, and did well by his family, and of course, being patriotic is sexy, as anyone screeching at their team during the current World Cup of hockey knows. It’s okay that he stayed there. It’s fucking sexy NOT to defect, sometimes. Dude was a champion either way, his life is not a tragedy or lesser for not having played in the NHL and I really want people to know that.
"For me, it was all, and all of it is with me forever."
Yes, there is life and hockey beyond the NHL.
And it’s beautiful.

Are your OCs part of any story or stories?
Yes. The vast majority of OCs belong to either my comic or my shared project (Beyond The Grave/btg). I have a few that are basically strays, like kesa and ummm ally, Johnny, vladik, Nikolas, and Ricky; I don't think Ive done anything with them recently.
I also have a few OCs that are just fan characters but I'm easily embarrassed about this LOL .

Shaders For Minecraft Pc On Windows 10
Do you want to install Minecraft Windows 10 Shaders? If yes, then you are ta the right place. Minecraft doesn’t have elegant and high-end graphics. As it is a game made of blocks however, users easily make it seems much better than it does out of the box having texture packs. Texture packs are the best but if you need to add a hyper-real look to Minecraft. Then shaders are the way to go. Come let’s take a look at how to install Shaders on Minecraft UWP for Windows 10.
Minecraft (Bedrock codebase) MCPE-112953; My shaders aren't working in my Minecraft for Windows 10.
Drag and drop the shader file (.zip) to the Shaderpacks folder inside your Minecraft directory. Download a PBR texture pack of your choice. Drag and drop the PBR texture pack to the resourcepack folder inside Minecraft directory. Enable Specular2PBR conversion in the Shaders configuration screen.
Shaders for Minecraft UWP
There aren’t many Shaders available for Minecraft UWP. But those shades that are built for the Java model can’t work with the UWP model of the game. However, it means your choices are going to be reduced. Also, you can still find some good looking shaders for the game. Just remember it is built for the UWP version or Windows 10 of the app. For the post, we’re going with the Chocapic Shaders. Just move ahead and view for any other shader and install it. It will install as a .mcpack file.

Install Shaders for Minecraft UWP
Move to the folder that you installed the Shader to. By default, it will be analyzed as a file that you can open with Minecraft. Double-tap it and it will open Minecraft. You will then view a ‘Import Started’ message.
It takes a few seconds so you must view another text saying you the import was successful.
Abremee; ) Top 5 mejores Shader para Minecraft de Windows 10 Download: Textu. The first step to installing Minecraft shaders is to download and install Optifine. Optifine is a mod that optimizes Minecraft and makes it run better (for more mods you should install, check out our list of the best Minecraft mods). 'minecraft windows 10 edition shaders pack' Texture Clear filters. 69 Shaders Texture NEXT-GEN Shaders HD All-round texture pack. 3 Shaders Texture.
Tap the Settings button on the game’s welcome screen and then choose ‘Global Resources’ from the left column. On the right, you will view the Shader that you included. Choose it, and tap the plus button to include it. Move to the main screen.
However, the Shader takes a few seconds to load but when it does, the world view behind the buttons will completely modify to reflect the Shaders that you included. Move ahead and load up a world to play in.
Uninstall Shaders
If you want to delete a shader from Minecraft. Then simply unload it so that the default texture loads or you can uninstall it fully. If you want to unload a shader, head over to Minecraft, tap the Settings button. Then from the left column, choose Global Resources. In the right pane, choose the Shader and tap the minus button under it. This will unload it.
If you want to uninstall it, simply click the Win+R keyboard shortcut to reopen the Run box. Input the following, and click the Enter key.
Shaders Realistas Para Minecraft Windows 10
When the folder opens, move to the following location and remove the shader from the ‘resource_packs’ folder.

Drawback
Shaders Realistas Minecraft Windows 10 Mod
Vladik shibanov videos. Unfortunately, Shaders slow down Minecraft or they need a more capable system for the game to run perfectly or smoothly. You probably view the UWP model to slow down after installing a shader.
However, Minecraft UWP shader is identical to a texture pack with some distinction. These distinctions are more pronounced on the Java model but not too much with the UWP version. You will have to organize your own expectations here.
Conclusion:
Here’s all about “Install Minecraft Windows 10 Shaders”. Is this article helpful? Have to ever try to install it? If yes, share your experience with us in the comment section below! Let us know your thought in the comments section below!

“May I ask why I needed to leave Vladik for this particular run?” Manya never, ever did a run or go anywhere without her horse close by. Most people would say she had unhealthy attachment to the animal. But there was a deeper meaning to it, but no one would ever understand it. Still, when Glenn wanted her to go a hunt with him she was all for it. If she was honest she hated staying in the walls on Alexandria.
She didn’t even want to join to start with, thinking they were all in some sort of illusion that if they stay in this so called safe zone they would be okay. And yes, they had solar panels that helped them have electricity and what have you it still didn’t change the fact this was still a world that was overrun by walkers. Things will never be like they once were. She walked along side him, weapon equipped on her person. Eyes scanning for anything or anyone to pop out to attack.

"Didn't mean to make you cry"
“You didn’t,” she argued as she wiped her eyes. She honestly did not mean to cry, she tried to keep it together. She has had her fair share of breakdowns during the war, but she was sure this was the one that almost destroyed her. When she thought Daryl was dead she had her fit, and when he came back she could breathe again. She did not want to feel that feeling again, that feeling she lost someone she could save. However, during the times of war certain sacrifices had to be made…and when Mother War wants to take she takes. She didn’t take Daryl, that much Manya was grateful for…what she didn’t know was Mother War wanted someone else instead.
It was still a blur, her on Vladik…the sound of a gunshot…the large fall as Vladik’s neighs filled her ears. Yes, Mother War decided to take the only companion she had in this new world. The first living thing she saw after the outbreak, the one thing before she met Daryl and the others that kept her humanity in tact. Vladik was her whole world, and now he was gone. She tried to keep it together, but the sound of Daryl’s voice caused her to finally break. He had nothing to do it, he didn’t make her cry at all. His voice was just familiar enough to allow herself to finally crack.
“I told you to use Vladik’s body as food for everyone,” she reminded him. “I just…I’m trying to be strong you know? But I don’t know what to do now…now that I lost him. Then I remember I almost lost you too and I just…” She didn’t want to say it, her heart was already shattered losing her companion. But if she really did lose Daryl too Manya was sure she would snap.

The Vladimir Petrov story!
This Highly Anticipated Piece of Lore In The Timeline, It Is Finally Here
As the eldest in the group, Boris and Valeri have done quite a bit before debuting with Thin Ice. Most if not all their performances before Thin Ice they did together, along with fellow trainee Vladimir Petrov, who from now on we will refer to as Vladik, which is his friends’ nickname for him. The three debuted together as a group in 2010, and over the eight years, they appeared and performed in various competitions and shows. Along the way the three all became close friends with one another. (later update: I’ve changed a bit of the lore, these three were a group after all! Because, it is possible for idols/artists to debut with multiple groups-)
Over the years, Vladik grew more reckless, and was eventually involved in incidents related to drugs, car accidents, and destruction of property. Unfortunately, Boris didn't pick up on this until later on when it was getting very bad. At this point, he (along with Valeri) tried everything they could to help Vladik back on the right path, but ultimately failed. In November 2018, Vladik’s fate was sealed. He was to undergo intervention, and would be pulled out of songs, choreographies, and performances for the time being until his intervention course finished.
Hearing of Vladik’s fate hit his family and friends hard, but few were hit harder than Boris. The news struck him with guilt that he couldn’t or didn't do enough to keep his friend - one he grew to care about so much - out of danger.
This friendship as well as Vladik’s eventual carelessness had a lasting effect on Boris. Since then, he has become a more serious leader and constantly makes sure his friends stay out of trouble, so that what happened to Vladik doesn’t happen to them. Even beforehand, Boris was often a leader to his peers, guiding them and making sure they were on task and that everyone was alright. But he didn't often monitor said peers very closely in the face of more precarious tasks, which his witnessing Vladik’s downfall firsthand ultimately changed.
Yes, I really want Vladik to eventually reconcile with Boris and Valeri... and that arc I will get around to coming up with and talking about too!

👍👍👍
They fight like a married couple, their first meeting was a fight so it was never meant to be all sunshine and rainbows. However after they finally got over their major differences and actually learned to work together the fighting became more bickers and eye rolls. Even yes, Manya’s random comments in Russian which leads to more fighting.
When she sees Daryl’s bike she finds it interesting, but she refuses to not ride Vladik…at least not during their first travel together to get her to Alexandra. After that, and Manya gets the feel eventually settling down she agrees to ride on his bike for hunts…in exchange for him riding Vladik for the next time. Needless to say seeing his reaction being on the giant horse is the most amusing.
There is a slight power struggle in who protects whom. Manya has always been used to being a lone wolf, understands Daryl had to the same mentality before joining the group. Still, while she gets why he is the way he is she knows to tend to herself. However, she develops a thing with him to comfort him about her. She always did it with Vladik, touching the sides of his face and gently pressing her forehead to his. This was a big deal, for Manya never showed any emotion other then for her horse. Now with Daryl she feels she can channel the same energy. This gesture works especially during a fight. It’s this gesture that allows them to become much closer.
**BONUS** Manya is the Big Spoon.

The bae over at @theprixrity wanted not one, but ALL the headcanon questions about Russian Mama. So here, I present to you:
Manya Volkov: in Grave Detail
What does their bedroom look like?
Her room is rather plain. When she was given a home in Alexandria she honestly had no clue what to do with it, all she knew was she hated American Suburbia. So, she made it her own the best she could, the collections of animal skulls and all the windows open for Vladik to poke his head through. As for her bedroom she refuses to wash the bed sheets. More animal skulls and her weapons lying around.
Do they have any daily rituals?
Manya wakes up as soon as the sun does out of habit of being outside. When she was outside she would pack up her things and travel, maybe stop by a pond or stream and get a drink of water or hunt for fish. Travel mostly, till the sun starts to go down to which she settles. Makes a small fire, maybe cooks her fresh kill and rest, roughly 9 at night. Now in Alexandria however it’s slightly different. She still gets up early(unless she has certain company over *cough* then she can sleep a little longer), Brushing her teeth is important...maybe a shower if she can not simply stand herself. Go downstairs, make some coffee, then go outside to spend time with Vladik or go for a run. Then she stays in the home she was provided, read her worn down book after a meal. Then sleeps, again right at 9...again unless she has company that wants to annoy her.
Do they exercise, and if so, what do they do? How often?
In this New World, limited food and getting away from walkers can be quite the weight loss program. She was never one to gain weight anyhow, but having the hot Southern sun beat on you every day can take it’s toll.
What would they do if they needed to make dinner but the kitchen was busy?
Rarely a problem, a simple fire outside always did the trick with her. She had to do it in her travels...so going back to her feral roots is a breeze if not preferred.
Cleanliness habits (personal, workspace, etc.)
Despite her rather rough exterior she does keep her rest home rather tidy. A sweep of the floor or a wash of some dishes. No big deal.
Eating habits and sample daily menu
Again, with the New World comes a new eating habit. Survival ran through her veins, so hunting for woodland creatures with some pecans or berries always kept her from starvation. In fact, when she first started traveling she in fact went to some abandoned places and grabbed some canned foods. This is still true for her settlement in the safe zone. Eating normal food is odd for her now, while still enjoyable. Though one could see she lost some table manners as she eats with a animal edge to her.
Favorite way to waste time and feelings surrounding wasting time
Manya is not one to waste time, she is either traveling somewhere or hunting something. But, she has learned to take a step back and enjoy some things...only to quickly go back to the task at hand.
Favorite indulgence and feelings surrounding indulging
Manya never thought it was possible to indulge in things again. However, she does have her book and the Walkman she found to remind her she was still alive and in the present. As more things are presented to her, she took up cross stitching from one of the older women in Alexandria.
Makeup?
None, she never wore make up before the Apocalypse and she sure as shit doesn’t wear it now.
Neuroses? Do they recognize them as such?
One could argue that Manya suffers from PTSD due to her environment. Having to worry about her and her family’s safety from The Russian Mob where she had to use a gun at a young age. Experiencing the hysteria and panic when Walkers started forming, the feeling of being the only person on earth only to find people that either wanted to take advantage of her or kill her. She however does not think so, she adapts and survives...that’s how it’s always been. Not being able to trust people is their problem.
Intellectual pursuits?
Manya was in college studying law, she was always someone that sought knowledge. A Documentary enthusiast as well as books was a big stimulation for her.
Favorite book genre?
Manya likes all kinds of books, her favorite...and one she carries around is actually a Russian print of Animal Farm. Which, of course would explain her need to nick name people after animals.
Sexual Orientation? And, regardless of own orientation, thoughts on sexual orientation in general?
Manya is in fact bisexual, while homosexuality is actually frowned upon in her country Manya never felt the need to come out to anyone. She is attracted to both men and women, and love them both equally. She did feel, in the New World and in America in general the feeling she could be much more free to express these feelings if those said feelings did arise.
Physical abnormalities? (Both visible and not, including injuries/disabilities, long-term illnesses, food-intolerances, etc.)
Manya suffered an injury on her back when she was very young. Long story short she tried to climb under a rusty fence and got severely scratched. She also wears some scaring from her travels but never feels the need to hide them.
Biggest and smallest short term goal?
Biggest short term goal is to find out about her family, the idea of their death is very real to her. But as long as they didn’t suffer then she could live with that. The smallest one, at the time, was to go to New York. Or somewhere out of the South...course that never happened.
Biggest and smallest long term goal?
Now living in Alexandira Manya’s goals have changed. She still wants to know about her family yes, but now keeping the people inside those walls safe became her top goal. She also wants to be able to be normal for once, maybe not the normal she once knew...but normal enough for the new world.
Preferred mode of dress and rituals surrounding dress
Manya’s style of choice is simple. Boots, jeans, a shirt or tank top, and a flannel shirt. In the winter time she made herself a fur blanket out of deer. Underneath the clothes however she dawns Victoria’s Secret, it was a thing from the American girls she worked with in Sea World and it was all she had. All her clothes were things she found to fit. She’s comfortable in them, and aims to stick to it.
Favorite beverage?
Manya loves her booze, Vodka obviously though she took a love for the American whiskey and beer. But water is universal.
What do they think about before falling asleep at night?
Her family mostly, the goal she sought to know about them. The people of Alexandria and what one or more may have done on that particular day. Is Vladik resting okay? Jesus this big redneck snores like a bear.
Childhood illnesses? Any interesting stories behind them?
The typical chicken pox, she remembered she wanted to scratch so badly. It got so bad her mother had to stuff her underneath her covers to basically sweat it off and not scratch.
Turn-ons? Turn-offs?
Turn Ons: Bravery, No Bullshit, Southern American Culture Turn Offs: Liars, Bullshitters, Loud Mouths
Given a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would happen?
Probably draw some shapes and such. Write some lyrics that she likes.
How organized are they? How does this organization/disorganization manifest in their everyday life?
She likes organization, not in a compulsive way but more along the lines of something appealing to the eye. It has to have a flow in her mind.
Is there one subject of study that they excel at? Or do they even care about intellectual pursuits at all?
She knows some things about justice and law as well as obscure facts no one really cares about. She also picked up some knowledge in being in the woods, the different plants and wildlife.
How do they see themselves 5 years from today?
Still alive? That’s a big deal. That annoying Negan person destroyed for good.
Do they have any plans for the future? Any contingency plans if things don’t workout?
Not really, Manya pretty much lives for today since tomorrow is never promised. She still plans to know what happened with her family, and while settling in some safe zone with a redneck was not in the cards...she seems to be handling it okay.
What is their biggest regret?
Not being able to get home sooner, even though she knew she wouldn’t have stood a chance in getting there. She wished she could hug her family longer, tell them how much she loved them. Especially her father...she misses him the most.
Who do they see as their best friend? Their worst enemy?
She calls Michonne “Sister”, she also developed a friendship with Jesus. But Vladik has, and will always be her companion. Enemies however...that Foghorn Leghorn, loud mouth Negan is on up there. And that rat looking Dwight...his death would be slow as far as she is concerned.
Reaction to sudden extrapersonal disaster (eg The house is on fire! What do they do?)
During the hysteria of Walkers Manya was such in a panic she ran to a hiding place and stayed low until it was dead quiet. Now, if something happens she is right there on the front line. Fighting tooth and nail for the safety of others.
Reaction to sudden intrapersonal disaster (eg close family member suddenly dies)
Having someone close to her is dangerous for her well being. For if they died she loses it. For example, when she had to see Daryl be dragged to the van to head to The Sanctuary Manya screamed out, having to have two people hold her back. She was even told her scream was terrifying, she sounded like an dying animal. It happened again, seeing him in that sweater outfit...how she couldn’t talk to him. That she was not able to say goodbye to him, she had to leave. She walked toward the nearest tree and just destroyed it with her machete. All the while screaming to the top of her lungs. Needless to say if anyone killed someone she loved in front of her they will rule the day they ever do.
Most prized possession?
While she considers him more of a companion then a possession, Vladik her horse is something she hold the most dear.
Thoughts on material possessions in general?
If you have it, cherish it. That’s her way of thinking. Don’t flaunt it around, everyone had lost so much so whatever you do have you better enjoy it.
Concept of home and family?
Home and family is important to her. Her father taught her without family you have nothing. At the time her home and family was Vladik and the woods, but after much resistance she calls Alexandria and the people in her new home and family. One she is deeply protective of.
Thoughts on privacy? (Are they a private person, or are they prone to ‘TMI’?)
Manya is a deeply private person. Her distrust in people make her a hard shell to crack. But, if she feels she could trust you she slowly opens and confides in you.
What activities do they enjoy, but consider to be a waste of time?
She does like shooting Walkers, yes they are dangerous but Manya finds them very dumb.
What makes them feel guilty?
Not being able to save people she swore to protect. If anyone gets hurt or kidnapped under her watch she feels deeply responsible.
Are they more analytical or more emotional in their decision-making?
She keeps a pretty level head in decision making. She analyzes everything to the very detail.
Would they consider themselves a Type A or Type B personality?
She is a Type A trying to learn to be Type B
What recharges them when they’re feeling drained?
Cigarettes, give the girl some cancer sticks!
Would you say that they have a superiority-complex? Inferiority-complex? Neither?
Neither, she is a happy middle.
How misanthropic are they?
Roughly an 7 or 8. She makes some exceptions.
Hobbies?
Walker killing, hunting, cross stitching, busting a redneck’s balls
How far did they get in formal education? What are their views on formal education vs self-education?
She attended Pushkin Leningrad State University and was in her second to third year before she went to America under the J1 Program. She finds education important, but more along the lines of common sense.
Religion?
Manya is deeply atheist. She hated the Church when she was in Russia and she sure as shit does not believe in God more so now.
Superstitions or views on the occult?
Manya does not believe in such things. However she does appreciate the teachings of the occult when it comes to nature. In fact she collected and wore a deer skull in her travels because she knew how easily freaked out people could be.
Do they express their thoughts through words or deeds?
More along deeds first and words later.
If they were to fall in love, who (or what) is their ideal?
Manya responds to people who are kind, to have the heart of a lion as they say. Someone who sees her as a equal, not some frigid thing. But apparently she has a thing for rednecks which is actually hilarious considering how low she used to think of them.
How do they express love?
Manya has a hard time expressing feelings. In fact she would deny it, even get very pissed about it. But what she does not realize is she sort of makes it obvious, she may laugh and cover her mouth(a sign of shyness). She may become softer, less of a ice queen. Even if it comes to words she does not say it right away. She may say something like “You’ve gotten under my skin and it’s pissing me off”, which means “I’ve fallen in love with you and I don’t know how to deal with that.”
If this person were to get into a fist fight, what is their fighting style like?
Being sort of on the short side jumping on someone’s back and putting them in a choke hold seems to be the go to if weapons are off the table. A choke hold and bashing their head in.
Is this person afraid of dying? Why or why not?
No, in fact she would die as long as someone stays alive. Tomorrow is never given, if it’s her time to die it’s her time to die. She accepted it a long time ago.

Valeri, on the phone with Boris: Yes, everything is fine, I promise! You have fun on your night out, Borya!
Boris: Are you absolutely sure?
Valeri, holding Alexei under one arm and restraining Viacheslav with the other, watching Musya perform a ritual with Yuna in the center of her pentagram: Yes, of course I'm sure!
Boris: And are you sure Vladimir and Vasily didn't just disappear again?
Valeri, spotting Sergei looking all over the dorm for Vladimir and Vasily: Yeees
Boris: And are you also sure Vladik didn't knock Volodya out in a game of live action Fortnite again?
Valeri, staring at Aleksandr frantically shaking Volodya's unconscious body and screaming: Yyyyeeees
Boris:
Boris: Valera, put Volodya on the phone
Valeri, quietly: I really don't want to

7. How do they physically engage with other people, inanimate objects, and their environment? What causes the differences between these?
Vladik has been, since the outbreak, been her only channel to emotions. Manya was never a outcast, before the outbreak she had her interactions with people. However, Vladik was the only living thing she came across after the outbreak. He was the symbol of newfound hope for her, and so she is the most close to him.
Everyone else she refuses to allow to get close, yes she’ll talk to them but she knew the interactions will be short lived. All she needs is her weapons for protection and her companion, there is no in between nor exceptions.
