Know the Gujarat ministers who took oath along with Vijay Rupani today

Vijay Rupani took oath as the chief minister of Gujarat today along with 19 ministers in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a galaxy of senior BJP leaders. This is the sixth time that the BJP has formed its government in the state. With 99 MLAs, the BJP has a simple majority in the 182-member Assembly, 16 less than its 2012 tally of 115.

In a show strength, several Union ministers and senior leaders of the party were also invited for the ceremony, besides saints and religious leaders of different faiths.

The caste breakup of the ministry shows that the BJP is trying to woo the Patidar community. There are six Patel leaders in the 20-member Gujarat government, six from the OBCs, two Rajputs, three tribal leaders and one from Brahmin, Dalit and Jain community.

Here's the list of Cabinet ministers who are a part of the Rupani-led government this time:

Nitin Patel: He took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister for a second consecutive time. He retained his Patidar-dominated Mehsana seat, defeating his Congress rival Jivabhai Patel. Patel has been in the BJP for the past 30 years.

Ranchhodbhai Chanabhai Faldu: Former chief of Gujarat unit of the BJP, Faldu took oath as a Cabinet minister today. He is a Member of Legislative assembly from Kalavad constituency and belongs to the Leuva Patel community.

Jayeshbhai Vitthalbhai Radadiya: He won the state polls from Jetpur. Radadiya is the young face of Leuva Patel community and son of BJP leader Vithalbhai Radadiya.

Saurabh Patel: Five-time MLA, Patel won the assembly election from Akota and is an MBA from US.

Bhupendrasinh Chudasama: He is the sitting education minister. Chudasma took oath as a Cabinet minister today.

Ganpat Vasava: He is a senior tribal leader who took oath as Cabinet minister today.

Kaushik Patel: He won the assembly election from BJP president Amit Shah's Narainpur seat. Patel took oath today as a Cabinet minister. This will be his first stint as a minister in Gujarat.

Dilip Thakor: Gujarat's Minister for Labour and Employment, Thakor again took oath as a Cabinet minister today. He won the assembly election from Chanasma.

Ishwarbhai Parmar: He is an MLA from Bardoli

Shree Jalaram Mandir Sheelanyas Ceremony

Rudra abhishek pooja-Chicago IL: The Shree Jalaram Mandir of Hoffman is going thru a major renovation and expansion in 2014 and 2015. The project consists of a complete renovation of the existing building as well as expansion. The first floor and basement will be completely renovated to meet the demands of the growing organization. New LED light fixtures, fire sprinkler system, complete new HAVC system will be implemented into the existing building. The expansion will be approximately 12,000 Square Feet. The new temple will also have three new entrances with new canopies. The new prayer hall will be double the existing size. The lower level will be used for temple programs as well community events. A new stage and with updated AV system is also in the plans. Phase two of the project will be include “Indianization” of the building, with traditional Domes and Shikars.

The temple committee has selected Sachi Contractors Inc for their construction needs. Sachi Contractors is an Illinois based general contractor/ construction management firm. Sachi successfully completed multiple non-profit projects across the USA. Their experience with temples and nonprofit organizations was a key factor why the Jalaram Board has selected them. Established in 2001, Sachi Contractors has worked closely with the Indo-American community. It will be a dream come true for many devotees of Jalaram Bapa as expansion of Jalaram Mandir is scheduled to take place within 15 to 18 months as Idols have already arrived and a spacious community center will be built with the assistance of Sachi Contractors Inc. who has considerable experience in constructing temples.

Bhoomi Poojan was already done a few weeks ago and now Sheelanyas Ceremony was organized at Shree Jalaram Mandir, located at 425, Illinois Blvd , Hoffman Estates, IL on Saturday, October 4th 2014 from 2:00 pm onwards. More than 5:00 devotees were present during this auspicious occasion. It is heartening to note that the expansion work of the current Mandir and installation of Deities began with ‘Sheelanyas Pooja’. Devotees surrounded the huge excavation site to witness the event and felt they were taking part in the spiritual history of the temple. Pooja was performed by learned priests Keyur Sevak and Hasmukhbhai Trivedi amidst the presence of Maheshbhai and Sarika Patel; Umedbhai and Mayaben Patel; Vitthalbhai and Jayaben Patel; Ravibhai Patel; Ketanbhai Patel; Manishbhai and ASmitaben Patel; Chirayubhai and Alpaben Parikh; and Rohitbhai Patel (Sach Construction). Religious ceremony included Ganesha Pujan, Madhyapith Pujan, Rudra Pujan, Sheelanyas Pujan, Mataji Pujan, Navgrah Pujan, Vastu Pujan and Havan Pujan.

Priests provided explanation of purpose and reason behind each ritual in a nutshell. Dhartimata’s permission was sought to begin construction and her blessings to protect the center from any obstacles during the expansion work.

Acharya Rajendra Prasadji blessed the congregation and he described the significance of this occasion, the importance of creating such temples, and the benefit attained by creating such centers for the preservation of Hindu morals, culture and principles. He explained the importance of Nidhi Kumbh and appealed to everyone to donate $250 towards the Mandir and he received 30 generous donations.

The Sheelanyas Ceremony commenced with consecration of the bricks that would subsequently be laid in the foundation. After that all Shilas were taken to Nine pits and were covered with Bricks and Clay to mark the beginning of construction work. The ceremonial urn containing panchamrut with the five nectars, gold and silver, was placed into each foundation pit.Udaka shanti pooja

The devotees included both very young children and also elderly men and women. The joy and delight was evident on everyone’s face- ‘Jalarambapa – have arrived in Chicago!’ The event concluded with spontaneous dancing and rejoicing by everyone present. The extraordinary delight of this significant occasion could be sensed in the atmosphere. Maha-prasad was taken by everyone present
