Can't Stop Calling You (Vision x Reader)
Word count: 843
Warnings: Excessive fluff, angst if you squint, talk of fatal diseases.
I couldnât go a day without calling him. I just couldnât. It was something about his voice, about the deep, yet slightly cracking voice of the red synthezoid that made my heart go wild. I just needed to hear his voice at least once a day, the voice of The Vision.
Today was no different. My phone buzzed as I rang Visionâs number up on it.
Finally, the androidâs voice rang through the phone. âHello?â
âHeyyyy, it is so nice to call you! How are you?â I asked, kicking my feet in the air on my bed.
âI am alright, though I do not understand why you are calling me right now. We just spoke earlier today.â Vision said, chuckling.
âJust wanted to hear your voice!â I drew out the last word.
âYou humans are certainly⊠interesting in your likes and dislikes.â Vision said, hesitating as if he didnât know what to say.
Something about the way he said that made me start to wonder if he was even enjoying these phone calls. I mean, I did call him every single day, it had to have gotten annoying after a while. I sighed, âIâm sorry, am I calling you too much? I can stop calling as much if youâd like.âÂ
Vision must have heard the insecurity in my voice because he immediately spoke, his voice calm and reassuring. âNo, no, itâs alright. I mean, I do not really understand the point of phone calls, perhaps because it makes my phone lag a bit,â it was true, Tony had given him quite a rundown phone, something I cursed him for every day when Vision would struggle with the phone, âbut I do quite enjoy calling with you for some reason. Iâm just⊠I guess Iâm just not exactly sure why you like the sound of my voice in particular? Is there anything special about it or something? I do not believe there is anything special about my voice.â
âI donât know, I just like hearing your voice, especially through this phone. Something about the idea that even if you arenât here with me physically, youâre still here in spirit, is kind of comforting. And I like the way your voice sounds, just something about it relaxes me.â I realized I had spilled too much, and immediately shut up, worried he would think I was too clingy and hang up.
After a few moments of silence, Vision finally spoke up, âI see. For some reason, hearing you say this makes me very happy. I am deeply appreciative of your sentiment, and will think about it if I ever feel downbeat. I would like to also say, I enjoy your voice, too. The way it sounds to my ears is⊠pleasing, in a way that none of the other Avengersâ voices are, even Wandaâs voice.â
Everything he said made my cheeks heat up, especially the part about him thinking about what I said to cheer him up.
I stayed in a stunned silence for a few seconds, before Vision said, âI am deeply sorry if I have caused you any discomfort with what I just said. I was hoping that with what you said, you would be alright with me being a bit honest as well. But I understand if I have made you uncomfortable, and sincerely apologize.â
I immediately rushed to reassure him, âNo no no, itâs fine, I was just⊠flattered. Thank you. No one has said that about my voice before.â I said sheepishly.
âI am genuinely surprised at that. I would have assumed that more people had pointed out just how therapeutic your voice is, and I am quite frankly disappointed that no one else has noticed this fact.â Vision said matter-of-factly.
I blushed, âWell, itâs not exactly a fact, moreso an opinion. But I appreciate it, genuinely.â
âI know that it is just my humble opinion, but for some reason, despite that, to me it feels like a simple fact. One that everyone should know.â
âStoooop, youâre making me blush.â I said, giggling.
âI am sorry if I caused you any discomfort-â
âNo, itâs just something that people say when theyâre flustered. It doesnât mean they actually want you to stop. I know, I struggle with that a bit too.â
âOh, alright. Is there anything else you would like to talk about, or do you need to depart now?â Vision asked.
âActually, do you think you could tell me more about infectious diseases?â I told Vision that diseases were a special interest of mine,
âHave I told you about the bubonic plague already?â
âYeah. But you can talk about it again.â
âNonsense. I want you to hear about as many new diseases as your heart desires. Now, Iâve learned about this one, called the pneumonic plague, which can be fatal within 18 to 24 hours if left untreated-â Vision continued to talk about this plague, and I listened intently, being practically lulled to sleep by his relaxing voice, despite the tragic details about the disease being relayed to me by him.

shoutoâs the type to feel too far away from you when youâre not at arms length. so whenever he has homework to do he does it on his tatami floor while holding your hand. heâs unbothered too, arm not cramping or moving while he writes perfectly well (or he tries) with his other hand. when you think about your position you canât help but laugh from your spot laying on the floor. shouto never gets what you find funny.

eddie starts to do more accents after noticing how much it makes you giggle. heâll start ordering pizza in a british accent when youâre at the trailer for movie night. when he catches you drifting off while studying, heâs quick to break in a high pitched valley girl accent as he reads âwhat was like the primary goal of the confederacy in fighting the civil war?â when he notices you trying to hide your smile he continues his theatrics. âwhats your damage? do you like want to fail this test?â heâll break into a french accent when you cook together, he even drew a moustache with a sharpie once (had to go to school the next day with it on since it wouldnât come off and he didnât break out of the accent till it fully came off). when he picks you up for school he greets you in a pirate accent, but sometimes itâs a southern one. it somehow never gets old and heâs rewarded with your smile every time.

Kitten, You're Beautiful
Day 5 of Kinktober: Visions of Temptation hosted by @xxsycamore Featuring: Love and Deepspace | Sylus x f!reader Tags: mdni, smut, fluff, mild hurt/comfort, mild angst, mirror sex, comfort sex, established relationship Prompts: Mirror Sex | "Let's see how long you can last." ao3 link here.
Your clothes didnât fit anymore. Sighing, you pinched the fat above your tummy, grimacing at how much more flesh was caught between your fingers than before. The floor-length mirror in front of you reflected your entire body, clad only in ill-fitting underwear, back. You hated it. You hated what your body had become, the soft dimples on your thighs, the extra cushion around your waist, the jiggle on your upper arms.
You angrily sighed, eyeing the clothes you ripped from your closet lying on the floor of your bedroom. You tried on almost every item of clothing you owned. Nothing, absolutely nothing laid on you correctly. The waistband of your jeans pushed up the fat on your hips into a hideous muffin top. Your crop tops showed too much of your swollen belly. Your blouses strained against your chest and shoulders. An aggravated, disapproving growl erupted from your throat, and you dug the heels of your hands into your eyes to stop the tears prickling your eyelids from falling.
This was so stupid. You knew all of it was so stupid. You could just buy new clothes. But seeing how small your clothes had gotten made you feel hideous and bloated and unattractive. It made you hate yourself.
âKitten?â
A familiar voice drifted through your bedroom door. You quickly reached for one of your boyfriendâs sweaters he left behind the last time he was over, a soft, cashmere pullover that used to at one point hang loosely off your body.Â
âIn here, Sy,â you called out, covering yourself as fast as you could, ashamed to let him see you like this. You suspected he knew something wasnât quite right, especially because the last time the two of you were intimate, you insisted on turning off the lights. He didnât push though because thatâs what he did. He always waited for you to tell him when you were ready.
Sylus poked his head into your bedroom, his silver hair brushing against the top of the door frame. His brilliantly vibrant, crimson eyes brightened when they saw you, but wavered when they noticed how red your eyes were and what appeared to be the remnants of a scowl on your brow. âKitten, are you all right?â he asked, his concern for you obvious.Â
You weakly smiled at him, wrapping your arms around yourself. âIâm fine.â You took a deep, shuddering breath in, kicking yourself for how poorly you were hiding how shitty you felt, especially when you saw Sylusâs eyebrows pull together. âReally, Iâm fine.â
âYou donât look fine to me.â Sylus leaned forward until he was level with you, tenderly placing a palm against your cheek.Â
You involuntarily pulled back a hair at his touch, eyes averted towards the ground. âNothing, really. Iâm fine.â
His frown deepened, especially when you pulled away from his touch. He peered at you intently, his crimson orbs searching for a sign of why you were so upset. âSweetie, did I do something wrong? Because if I did, Iââ âNo!â You sighed, roughly yanking your fingers through your hair. âYou didnât do anything wrong. Itâs just that I⊠IâŠâ You trailed off, feeling ashamed at why you were so upset, at having to voice what was upsetting you. You could feel Sylus looking at you, that warm, sweet, concerned gaze of his that made you feel warm and fuzzy. But right now, all it did was make you feel more shame, more self-loathing.
âSweetie?â His thumb wiped away the tear that fell from your eye.Â
God, you loved him when he was this sweet. You hugged yourself tighter, intrusive thoughts running through your head whispering that he would be repulsed by the change in your body, that he would fall out of love with you, that he would leave you if he knew, that he would find someone slimmer and more attractive than you.
âMyââ You licked your lips, blinking to keep more tears from falling. âMy clothes donât fit anymore,â you whispered in the tiniest voice you could muster while still remaining audible.Â
âOh,â Sylus quietly uttered.
âIâ I look awful,â you hoarsely whispered, tears brimming in your eyes. As the tears began to fall, you buried your face in your hands, unwilling to let him see you ugly cry, snot running and all.
âKittenâŠâ Strong, but tender hands gently moved yours out of the way allowing him to wipe away your tears. âKitten, look at me.â
You reluctantly raised your head, flinching at how much he was taking in. He grasped your chin, and very gently leaned in to graze his lips against yours. You melted, desiring the comfort of his warm embrace. Your anxiety spiked when he pulled away.
âYouâre beautiful.â
You frowned at him. âNo, Iâm not. Iâm ugly, and youâre going to want someone younger and prettier and skinnier than me.â Sylus clicked his tongue, displeased at how quickly you dismissed his compliment. He spun you around so that your back was against his chest and the two of you were facing the mirror. He placed his hands on your shoulders, bringing his lips close to your ear. âTo me, you are the most beautiful woman in the world,â he asserted, staring straight into your eyes in the mirror. âAnd I will not have you disparaging her. If you donât believe me, then I will have to show you just how beautiful I think you are.â
A delicious tingle ran up your spine when he placed a wet kiss behind your ear.Â
âI donât care what size you are..â
Another tingle when he nipped your artery.
âYou are the only woman for me.â
His hands slid under the sweater you were wearing, the friction of his calloused palms hot against your soft skin starting a smoldering fire deep within you.
âAnd I will never, ever let you forget it.â
His hands were kneading your soft flesh, the ragged breaths he was expelling erotic in your ear while his mouth feasted on your neck. You found yourself melting into his embrace, relishing the way he grabbed at you, feeling his bulge press into your back.
âI want you to see how much I love you.â
Sylus tugged his sweater off of you, throwing it behind him and bringing you back into his arms quickly. You instinctively raised your arms to cover yourself, but Sylus caught your wrists before you could.Â
âDonât. I want to see all of you.â
Your nose wrinkled at your reflection, at the imperfections you wished didnât exist. You yelped when Sylus roughly bit down on your shoulder.Â
âKitten, I said none of that now.â
Sylus hooked his fingers into your underwear and pulled them down, taking his time, grazing his fingertips along your leg as he did so. You squirmed at how exposed you felt, seeing yourself on display both in the mirror and in his hungry, heated eyes. He squeezed your breasts.
âThis is mine.â
You gasped as his hand slipped between your legs, stroking your slit from front to back, slipping a finger in. Your body involuntarily clamped down onto his finger. He trailed kisses along your shoulder, wrapping his free arm around your waist so that you were tightly flush along his back while his finger curled inside you. You threw your head back onto his shoulder, eyes closed, your chest heaving faster.Â
âThis deliciously wet pussy is mine.â
You felt Sylus shift behind you, the arm around you momentarily disengaging so he could release his erection.Â
âThis gorgeous body is mine.â
After sliding his length against your folds to lubricate himself in your slick, he slid in, taking his time burying himself fully in your warmth. The breathy moan falling off your lips caused Sylus to feverishly groan. Sylus moved against you slowly, enjoying the way your walls dragged along his shaft. Your eyes flickered to the sight of your union in the mirror. You could see the flush spread on your boyfriendâs face, the drunk look of pleasure glazing over his eyes. He looked positively intoxicated by you.Â
Sylus noticed you watching him in the mirror. Breathing heavily, he nuzzled his nose into your hair. âI love you,â he murmured, tickling the spot where his lips rested. âI will always love you, no matter what because you are beautiful. Inside and out. Your size doesnât dictate that. Do you understand me?â
You felt the prickle of tears along your eyelids again, but this time it was because of how adoringly Sylus cradled you in his arms, at how safe he made you feel, at how much his love for you felt like a gentle, spring rain on your heart. You nodded, unsure whether you could speak without erupting into full-blown tears.
âNow, kitten, letâs see how long you can last with my dick inside you.â You shivered, anticipation fluttering down your back, knowing you wouldnât last very long. That devilish smirk he flashed was going to be the death of you, but you didnât mind because he was your Sylus and you were his kitten, and that was all you needed in this world.

Can I request any windbreak characters (headcanons) of your choosing reacting to their s/o ending up in the hospital beacause if a rival gang targeting them?
reqs are open!
the beautiful and damned
sakura, suo; 911 words; fluff, slight angst, implied bodily harm, lapslock, no "y/n", hurt/comfort kinda i guess?, very!drabble, suo being... suo
a/n: sry i only did sakura and suo... currently i've only got the muse for these two tho i did consider tossing umemiya in there lmao; maybe next time...
falling backwards â sakura
it can take the body up to twenty-minutes to cycle through an average fight-or-flight response though heâs always prided himself in staying for the fight.
seeing you in the hospital bed for the first time was a masterclass in the concept of flight â or rather, in falling. of the ground crumbling beneath him, of his stomach going momentarily weightless before sinking and sinking, of his lungs calcifying inside his chest till it physically stings to breathe.
âiâm alright,â you say, waving him off, but for the first time, his knee-jerk reaction isnât to punch something â itâs to topple into the chair by the door and bury his face in his hands.
âyouâre alrightâŠâ he says, his mouth forming around the words like learning to speak for the very first time, and then again, âyouâre alright.â the says the words like a prayer answered, like exaltation, like a promise to himself made and broken and mended back again.
you cast him a wide smile, though he doesnât miss the way you wince and your hand jumps up to the bandage wrapped around your forehead.
âit really looks worse than it is⊠i just got scratched so they had to bandage up my head but the wound was really shallow so ââ
he makes his way over to your bedside and tugs you into his chest, squeezing his eyes shut to block out the harsh, florescent light of the hospital room. for a second, your voice is muffled against his shirt but then you go quiet in his arms, you go soft, and thereâs a terrifying moment when he wonders if heâs held on too tight â
âsakura?â
âyouâre⊠alright.â
he slumps down on the bed next to you, reaching for your hands. you let him take them, let him study them. there are a smattering of bruises along your arms, but nothingâs broken, no lasting damage. he leans down to press his forehead to the backs of your hands; you feel the heat simmering beneath his skin, stark and startling against your cool fingers.
âyeah. iâm alright. and⊠youâre okay too,â you say, flipping a hand over to cup his face, to lift his head up to meet your gaze. he nods, slowly, leaning into your touch.
âyeah⊠i think i will be.â
here are the monsters â suo
there are a few things suo hayato knows to be true: heâs a good fighter, even one of the best in the freshman year, that green tea should be brewed at 75 to 80 degrees, and that whoever did this will pay.
âtell me who did this.â
his voice is light, almost conversational, and nothing in his expression betrays the bright red fury curdling just beneath the thin veneer of his calm. you eye him warily, and he smiles sweetly, cocking his head to one side as he waits for your answer.
âhayatoâŠâ
âhm?â
you sigh, leaning back in your hospital bed and crossing your arms.
âif i tell you, promise you wonât go looking for a fight.â
suo pauses, considering your words, tallying them against his internal list of truths â he knows of the terrible risk of loving someone more than yourself, of the secret strength it grants you. he knows terror too, the kind that seems endless and dark and ever-expanding, a black hole of nothing that threatens to consume him when heâd first heard that youâd been hurt bad enough to warrant a night in the hospital.
but beneath that terror is something else â something with flashing teeth and shining claws that he does not have a name for but has felt flickering there for his whole entire life.
this is the monster, he thinks, that lives in us all.
the minotaur in the middle of the maze of self.
hungry and lonely and howling for blood.
âfine. i promise,â he says, putting his hands up.
you blink at him for a few seconds before your eyes narrow once more. you know him, and you know him almost too well.
âhayato, what arenât you telling me?â
âiâll tell you if you tell me who did this.â
after another secondâs pause, you sigh and list off a few names â the perpetrators to this great crime. kids, too, from another schoolâs gang.
âitâs par for the course, isnât it?â you say, your voice tightening slightly as suo nods and gets to his feet. he takes his time, stretches, leans down to drop a sweet kiss into your hair, âi knew what i was getting into when i agreed to date you soâŠâ your voice trails off as suo makes for the door, humming lightly.
âwhereâre you going?â you ask.
he pauses by the door, âfor a walk and⊠maybe a friendly chat with some kids at the school the next county over.â
âhayato! you promised you wouldnât go looking for a fight!â
at this, suoâs expression shifts ever so slightly. itâs in the slant of his mouth and the sharpness of his eyes, the way his voice is smooth as starlight but his words have all their vowels seeped in cyanide â
âoh iâm not going looking for a fight⊠but you see, the second they put a hand on you, the fight already found itâs way to me.â

toji x fem!reader // sfw! a little meet cute moment with some sprinkles of sadness synopsis: reader cleans and maintains abandoned graves, including that of toji's late wife.
đđđđ doesnât visit his late wifeâs grave often, if ever.
itâs easy to say that itâs because he doesnât care, that heâs lost all respect for the world and those on, or buried beneath it. yet, the reality is that heâs ashamed, a bit of a coward. how could he face her again? how could he read the letters of her name knowing heâd been unable to grant the one request sheâd given him? take care of megumi.
he doesnât know why heâs walking in the direction of the cemetery, an old, surely run down patch of land thatâs now nestled between some homes just outside of shinjuku.
maybe the weight of his most recent job gets to him. maybe itâs nearing what wouldâve been their anniversary. maybe the weather reminds him of her funeral, in which him and baby megumi were the only attendees.
a rock gets kicked a good few meters away as he remembers that day. her family had cut her off after sheâd married him, seeing nothing good coming out of their future, feeling disdain at the mention of their daughter marrying man with not a thing to his name. toji scoffs. perhaps they were right.
the overcast sky does nothing for the scenery ahead, which consists of old, rusted cemetery gates and a wall made of dull, greyed stones.
however, a splash of color stands out against the monochrome background. itâs all instinct, the way his senses hone in, but itâs not because youâre the only other person in the cemetery, not because your colored scarf makes you particularly identifiable.
no, itâs because you, a stranger, are standing in front of his wifeâs grave.
despite the numerous leaves on the ground, the rather quiet environment, you donât hear him approach.
youâre focused on your task, your brows ever so slightly knitted, a bristly brush in your hand which you use to scrub away at any debris wedged between the letters of this grave. dust, mud, leaf litter⊠it gets removed with each gentle movement.
a bottle of cleaner is in your other hand, spraying the stone every now and then when it gets too dry or when a particularly stubborn piece of debris refuses to be erased from existence.
one little stain catches your attention, so much so that you ignore how the autumn wind nips at your cheeks. itâs just about removed. a little more, a little moreâŠ
âwhat are yâdoing?â
a small gasp leaves you, or maybe you choke on air, and your hands retract from the gravestone as if youâd been burned. you take a couple of steps back, a natural response, wanting to put some distance between you and whoever else has decided to join you in the cemetery.
the sudden move results in you kicking over your coffee cup, your mind a mess as you crouch down and keep it from spilling any further. you put your tools away, too, placing the brush and spray bottle into a tote containing a few other items.
toji doesnât mean to intimidate or scare you.
itâs just⊠how he is. itâs in the energy he carries, how he presents himself to the world thatâs done him more harm than good. heâs suspicious of you, reasonably so.
when you finally stand and look up at him, he can see the anticipation in your eyes. your hands fidget, unsure of whether to retreat into your pockets or rise in self defense.
âiâm so sorry,â are your immediate words, sincere. âi didnât know she had visitors.â
she.
why are you talking about her like you were a part of her life? toji is sure heâs never met you before. he doesnât remember his late wife saying a thing about weirdos who hang out in cemeteries, either.
those green eyes of his narrow, just a bit. he doesnât have to say anything more, his stance is enough. you havenât answered his question and he isnât going to ask again.
âi, um, clean graves,â you answer after a few heartbeats, a little put off by his stare. âiâve been coming by for the past year, clean up every month or two. i usually wait and make sure no one comes by. i thought it was abandoned, iâm so sorry.â
the situation isnât entirely new to you. itâs not the first time youâd been âcaughtâ, and the reactions youâve gotten have ranged from grateful to furious, but itâs jarring each time. how could it not be? youâre not a fool, you know these people meant something to someone, that they represent more than the headstones ever could.
your eyes remain on his, equal parts apologetic and bashful, clearly genuine.
tojiâs posture relaxes, just a bit.
a part of that has to do with the smidge of guilt he feels. abandoned. he couldnât be surprised. after all, he never visited, never paid for cleaning services.
perhaps a normal person would say thank you, but the words fizzle out on his tongue. heâs not one for such words, or at least thatâs what he tells himself.
âitâs fine,â he ends up saying, curt, to the point, not giving away the extent of what heâs thinking or feeling.
even those two words have you feeling relieved, a long sigh leaving your lips. you canât deny that youâre itching to leave, still a little unnerved. being alone with a strange man in a cemetery isnât exactly on your bucket list, so you reluctantly reach down and grab your things.
your bag gets slung over your shoulder, but your coffee⊠well, youâre pretty much left with an empty cup now. the liquid had spilt all over the concrete floor when heâd spooked you earlier.
âiâll leave her alone,â you promise him, truly not looking to cause any conflict. âsorry againâŠâ
for a second, toji considers leaving it at that.
his eyes drift from you to your empty cup. he should feel bad, should be a decent person, but canât find it in himself to reassure you.
he needs a nudge, and that nudge is given to him in the form of an acorn falling from the tree rooted over his wifeâs grave.
the small object hits him right on the head, reprimanding him for his actions. toji grunts, his hand coming up to rub at the spot where the damn thing whacked him. he shouldâve sensed it, shouldâve been aware of its existence as soon as it snapped off the branch.
his eyes look up toward the sky, almost glaring, and for a second he can almost hear her voice, scolding him.
âdonât be mean, toji!â
with a click of his tongue, he looks back at you. you, whoâd taken care of his wife in death as heâd cared for her in life.
inhaling, he decides to screw it all and take a step toward you. maybe being a decent human wouldnât kill him. maybe.
âlook, i didnât mean to freak you out or make you spill your drink,â itâs the closest thing to an apology heâll give, but itâs better than nothing.
he recognizes the logo on your cup, then nods his head toward the cemetery gates. âlet me at least buy you a new one,â he offers, though by the sound of it, itâs quite clear he wants to do this for you. âwhatâs your name, anyway?â
you tell him, then he gives you his.
the sun starts to burn away at the clouds, warming the earth just as youâre about to leave the cemetery. things grow a little brighter, a whole shift in the atmosphere.
toji doesnât comment on the gust of wind ushering you two out of the gates, the rustle of leaves which could pass as a hushed cheer. no, he wonât say anything, not even if the breeze on his back feels like the hands of his late wife, pushing him toward something new.
his eyes flicker down, watching you, noting the curve of your cheeks and the slope of your nose. he shakes his head, steels his heart, ignoring the small jump it does as you look back at him.
no, he wonât say anything, not at all.

besides spending quiet time together in lumina square, i think dragging lighter to fun places to take his mind off things is something else that he secretly enjoys.
you donât have to have a set plan with him. i think heâd enjoy going with the flow of things as long as itâs with you. watching movies at gravity cinema, eating hot pot together, getting teamilk before doing some shopping for the girls.
there are tons of shops there and lots of things to do. recently, teens in the area have been raving about a new photobooth place in lumina square. it gets really busy during the weekends but lucky for the both of you, it was a relatively chill weekday. it was a normal shop that had a few photobooths and many funny accessories.
you both chose some accessories for yourselves (more like you chose and lighter hesitantly agreed). a pair of heart sunglasses, cat and dog ear headbands, and a huge bangboo plushie. he personally would never do something like this alone but seeing you be so indecisive on which accessories to pick did entertain him.
you walked into one of the booths, the screen displaying clear instructions to make sure you knew where to stand and how to take a photo. lighter was a little awkward at first, heâs not the kind to be good at photos, let alone pose for one intentionally. you decided to wear the heart sunglasses first, thinking that itâd match perfectly with lighterâs usual shades. a middle finger pulling down the shades a little as you looked at the camera and he couldnât help but laugh at your attempt to imitate him.
he did the same pose as you, wanting to show who the true undefeated champion was. backs toward each other, the cameraâs shutter goes off and the first picture was taken. that helped him relax a little, not feeling as nervous or awkward as before. until you wore the headband howeverâŠ.
a fluffy cat ear headband was now on your head as you happily held out the dog ear ones to him. âdo i really have toâŠ?â he asked you as he hesitated taking it from you. âmhm! and iâm putting it on you,â you chirped, so eager to have him wear something completely opposite to his cool guy image.
he let out a quiet sigh of defeat. he canât argue with you to be honest, not when youâre beaming with excitement for him to wear it. he bent down a little, letting you place it on his head. he looked at the display, seeing his reflection in it and immediately turns red. you can see the blush on his face and it was the perfect opportunity for the next photo.
two more photos left. you could almost reach your arms around the big bangboo plushie, lighter followed suit and hugged it too. his hand brushed against your arm as he buried his face into the plushie to hide his embarrassment. you seemed to be having fun though, your laugh becoming a familiar sound followed by the camera shutter.
itâs the final photo, you had to make the most of it. no accessories this time, you wanted to capture a natural moment between the both of you. âfinally, just one more,â lighter thought to himself, completely unaware of what plans you had. he was unsure of how to pose, since there was no props now.
you got closer to him, wanting to do a pose that had your faces close to each other. holding his hand in yours, you clicked the button on the screen. he knew his eyes should be on the camera but it was focused on the display, on you specifically. your smile, the way your eyes also showed that happiness. this was fun, you looked cute and heâd only try it again if it was wi-
3, 2, 1, click!
the last picture was taken. just before it did, you turned your face towards him, giving a kiss on his cheek. it was captured perfectly, the surprise on his face was evident even though his sunglasses hid the blush behind them. his mind went blank, not realizing that you were picking up the accessories to return them. the screen instructed you to not leave anything behind and to take the photos outside of the machine. âlighter? hello?â you waved your hand in front of him, he quickly snapped out of it and followed you out of the booth.
two strips of pictures were printed out, all of the photos came out exactly the way you wanted them to. you gave him the other strip and he examined the pictures carefully. he looked like a flustered mess in all of them except the first one. he canât let anyone see this, especially that last one⊠but you looked perfect. maybe he shouldnât fuss over it, instead enjoy the fact that he got to spend time with you. a picture perfect memory he could always look back on when he misses you.

mary janes | lee seokmin
pairing: lee seokmin x reader
warning: non-idol au, kindergarten teacher!seokmin, fluff & romance, kissing, mentions of marriage, slightly suggestive, seokmin uses love & sweetheart, reader uses love and seokmin's nicknames, reader is called mrs. lee by the children, christmas is literally so in, the usual "seokmin soft hours" turn into "(not-so) soft seokmin hours"
Kids ran around like crazy as people started to settle into their seats, and the kindergarten teachers patrolled backstage, browsing to make sure all of their kids were ready and in position. You smiled at two of them as they passed, and they waved at you, familiar with you since you were related to Seokmin, your boyfriend of a year and one of the aforementioned kindergarten teachers.
âJi-ah?â Seokmin asked, and a tiny female voice answered with a chirpy âHere!â, causing him to smile and mark at his clipboard again. âSeojoonâwe are not using the confetti baskets yet. Put them down.â Seokmin sighed tiredly, and the troublemaker reluctantly applied, dropping the basket as other kids snickered.
âAlright, everyone! Weâre almost thereââ Seokmin consoles the impatient children, glancing down at his watch as he smiles. âJust twenty more minutes.â
âTwenty more minutes?â A little girl asks, and half of the class groans and sighs. âI canât wait any more! I want to go sing now!â âWhy do we have to wait?â âUgh, this is gonna take forever!â The bunch of kids started complaining, little voices coming together to make a stew of impatient sounds, to which Seokmin had to silence them all.
âIf you all listen to me and just continue having quiet talking sessions, time will fly by quickly, I promise,â Seokminâs brown eyes were wide as he gave them a sweet smile, and all of them were easily persuaded, falling to the ground as they sat with their friends and talked.Â
Warm with the feeling of greeting parents, grandparents, and family members, and the lingering spirit of decorating the schoolâs lobby and handing out candy canes warming your heart even more, you came to approach your boyfriend, tapping him on the shoulder as he turned to you.
âAnd thereâs my love.â His voice softened, reminding you of the intimate times you spent at home together, baking Christmas cookies or decorating your small apartment.
âHi, sweetheart.â Seokmin kissed your cheek, and you smiled, holding his hand as you greeted him. âHi, Seok. Is everything going well?â
He laughs dryly, rubbing his forehead tiredly as he mumbles, âSurprisingly. I think itâs a Christmas miracle.â You laugh animatedly at his apparent tiredness, and you squeeze his muscled arm hiding under his collared black suit, giving him a sweet smile.
âYouâre doing great, love.â You promise, and Seokmin canât help but break into his signature dazzling smile, leaning into you as a type of discreet hug.
âMrs. Lee!â One of the students happily exclaims, and the whole class erupts in cheers to which you try to calm them all, pulling away to give each of them a hug.
All of Seokminâs class were enamored with youâthey treated you so much differently from Seokmin and listened to you faster than they did any teacher.
They referred to you with Seokminâs last name, and no matter how much you corrected them, they never stopped. Even though it made you blush, Seokmin found it quite cute, and therefore the kids continued to call you Mrs. Lee.
âHi, everyone! Are we all excited?â You ask, and the small crowd of kids erupt into cheers and chatting, to which both you and Seokmin get them to quiet down. âIâm excited to hear you all too. Just please keep quiet for me, okay? Weâre starting in ten minutes now.âÂ
âTen minutes?â âTen minutes!â âThatâs still so long!â âOh, I canât wait to sing and wave to my mommy and daddy!â The kids all run up to you and express their excitement, to which you laugh and cheer them all on as you interact with them quietly.
Seokminâs eyes light up with love for you as he watches you interact with his students like itâs second nature to you. You werenât a teacher or a person who worked with kids often, as you were a barista at a low-energy cafe where college students spend their mid-terms: you still interacted with children like you were made for it, and it made Seokminâs heart pound as you hugged a rather shy girl, making sure to comfort her apparent nerves.
At that moment in time, Seokmin wondered what it would be like to give you a baby of your own. He dreamed about how it would have his nose and your soft lips, and how youâd love it and take care of it just like you did the children of his classroom. A tiny boyâs hands wrapped around your hands had Seokminâs heart melt a little more, and he had to bite back the urge to kiss you out of your pretty red dress and Mary Jane heels you had worn for the occasion.
âMr. Lee, I have to tinkle.â The shockingly vulgar comment slapped Seokmin back into the nowâback into the craziness of there being less than five minutes before the classes assembled on the stage, and back to the fact that a little boy about the age of 5 had to pee.
âYou have to use the bathroom? Now?â Seokminâs face was quite red from the fact he was thinking about some not-so-kindergarten-friendly things about you while surrounded by five-year-olds and a child had tugged on his pants to let him know that he had to tinkle.
âMhm, I canât wait.â The boy frowned, and Seokmin put his hand on the boyâs back, leading him to you as he sighed. âHey, love, can you take Seunghae to the bathroom?â Seokmin sighed, and you looked at him surprised, stunned by both his reddened face and the red face of the kid who had to use the bathroomâcurrently holding his crotch with an urgency in his eyes. Wanting to question Seokmin as to why his cheeks were a bright red, you nodded quickly, escorting Seungjae to the tiny, slightly rickety bathroom backstage.
Once you finally got Seungjae to stop sniffing the scented cubes decorating the dusty bathroom, you ushered him back to Seokminâs now-standing class, inserting him into the line as all the kids were giving Seokmin tiny thumbs up as he prepared to go out and speak to the eager congregation.
âYouâve got this, Minnie. Youâre gonna do great.â You give him a quick, modest peck to his warm cheekbone, and he smiles at you, eyes raking over your pretty features he had memorized a thousand times before as he fell in love with you a little more. âThank you, sweetheart. Keep them organized for me.â
You smile before quieting the kids, giving him a pretty, dazzling smile as he feels all his worries and tenseness wither away in the blink of your sparkling eyes. He enters the stage as a new person, overjoyed and more than ready to lead the children through the Christmas program he had worked so hard to present.
âGoodbye, Mr. Lee! See you in three weeks!â One of the girls you had recognized as one of the ones who had a massive crush on Seokmin squealed, and he smiled, handing the sign-out clipboard to another parent whose child was holding onto his hand, tears in his eyes as if he didnât want to leave.
The Christmas program was a successâeven with its slipups and unexpected plot twists. All the children were on their best behavior, even if some had their unexpected spotlights (referring to that one part of 12 Days of Christmas where the kid burst out into tears instead of saying five golden rings), and the parents gave everyone a standing ovation at the end.
âI donât wanna leave you!â The kid screamed as tears poured down his face, and Seokmin dropped to his knees, wiping the tears away from the boy as he gave a soft smile.
âYou have three weeks of no school and no counting! Enjoy it for me, okay?â Seokmin holds up his hand for a high five, and the boy slowly calms down, giving him a high five nevertheless as his dad picks him up and thanks Seokmin before saying goodbye.
âGood work tonight, love. You were great with the kids. I think they love you more than me.â Seokmin frowns, and you canât help but laugh, hand landing on his firm chest as he smiles down at you. âI love you more than me, so I canât pretend like theyâre wrong for that.â You reply, and Seokmin glares at you, a playful yet warning look on his face as he crosses his arms.
âYou better not love yourself more than me. Youâre just as special to you as I am to you.â Seokminâs voice is serious, and you kiss the tip of his nose, watching as his hard countenance breaks and reveals his famous wide smile and sparkling, crescent-shaped eyes as you sigh.
âOkay, okay. Donât lose it just yet, Mr. Lee.â You tap his lapel, and he just grins at you, smile fading just a bit as you check the clipboard, your eyes dancing over the now checked-off names.
âWell, thatâs everyone,â You mark the last name off on the clipboard, double-checking as you look at Seokmin again. His eyes are already on yours, and the soft smile on his lips is enough to make your whole body heat up. âWhat?â
âYou look so pretty, baby. I love your Mary Janes and those delicate sparkly tights you have on.â Seokminâs hand ghosts over your waist and glides down your hip slowly before you giggle, pulling away. âThank you, Minnieâyou do know weâre still in the schoolâs foyer, right?â
âI do,â Seokminâs voice is lowered, and he looks at you with those pretty brown eyes, hand going to cup your cheek as he smiles. âWe are done with the Christmas program, and Iâm allowed to go home, so why donât we change that?â
âYeah, okay,â you agree, clearly softened by Seokminâs smooth, enticing voice. He giggles at your dazed expression and takes your hand, quickly saying goodbye to his chatting co-workers before leading you to the car.
Even though it was cold outside and snow was falling, you didnât feel the chill at all. It felt overwhelmingly warm between you and now hot and bothered boyfriend Seokmin, and you both knew there was only one way to solve that problem.
One you couldnât solve with your pretty Mary Janes on.

Thinking about being childhood friends with Sabo and he's been in love with you since the day he met you, but you have no idea so for most of your friendship you've just been dating around trying to find your soulmate when he's been by your side the whole time. You can never figure out why you date such questionable men and why none of them ever feel right but your belief is so strong in the idea that one day you'll find the one that you just keep pushing through. You let yourself fall in love with the worst of the worst and complain to Sabo through it all. You complain about the bad dates and the weird hookups, how they buy you the wrong flowers all whilst you stay and put up with it until they inevitably break it off. But throughout all of these men and the dating you treat Sabo with such delicate care, you show your love for him so visibly and it's so clear how important you are to him. You make sure he eats, that he's ready for every meeting, that his clothes are mended, you organise birthdays and parties for his achievements. You love him so plainly and he knows everything about you.
However it's not in the way Sabo wants. Poor Sabo spends his life trying to distract himself with work but you infect that like an incurable disease, making sure he rests and that his needs are cared for. Then when he tries to fuck out any of the stress and frustration he has stored up it ends up with hookups with girls who look as close to you as he can get away with before anyone notices. You're so important to him and you exist everywhere in his life, even in his bed as he wishes the girl beneath him was you and that you weren't in someone else's bed after a fun night out. You exist in his head, in his heart and in his soul. You are all he will ever love and care about. He loves you so strongly but he knows it's not his time yet and when he does get it all of the years of waiting will have been worth it.
He loves you but he also knows he can't rush you on realising that you belong with him and you need to realise this on your own. One day you will and you'll confess to him so sincerely it will feel as if he's entered a cliche romantic movie. His whole world will light up and everything will feel a little bit brighter. He'll get you in his bed one day, make you cry with tears of happiness and pleasure and it will be better than anything he could ever spend his nights fantasying about. He just needs to wait and push through the torture as the future he dreams about draws closer and closer.

Johanna
Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Summary - Wanda was your best friend in college that you had feelings for... were your feelings reciprocated or not?
Warnings: Mentions of underage drinking, Angst, Fluff in a way?... YES THIS WILL HAVE A PART TWO!
Word count: 4k
Note: This is inspired by the song Johanna by suki waterhouse :) so i recommend listening to that song..
Part two
Oh, my Johanna, Johanna...
There you were at a party that wanda invited you to it was just a simple college party nothing else the atmosphere felt weird... and tense your vision was hazy including nothing but people passing out, strobe lights flashing over your face red solo cups plastered all over whoevers kitchen counter.. drinks that you didn't recognize the name of assuming it was something fancy. It made sense since it was apparently some rich kid who's dad owned a big company hosting the party you didn't even recognize anyone there except wanda, clint, tony and maybe natasha?...
You and natasha never got along well due to your past with her meaningless hookups that would end up with nobody in her bed the morning after. It was a on and off thing for a while with you catching feelings for her when she didn't want you and natasha catching feelings for you when you didn't want her it was a confusing thing between you both it was on and off like that for a while during your freshman year of college but, you guys talked it out and discussed how it was better for you both to just keep the relationship between you two EXTREMELY platonic she went on a rant of multiple pros and cons about it and how it would keep your friend group together you didn't care as much as she did but you went along with it. So did she.. she soon got used to it and distanced herself from you she was tired no matter whether or not the friendship included those hookups or if it was platonic she couldn't manage to be friends with you knowing she was gonna catch feelings again. Did she have a good reason to? maybe but those were hookups that you and her both strived off of everyone moved on from it except for her it was somewhat of a cold atmosphere between you and her for a while but its okay now, which you assumed since she gave you a quick smile at this party...
"come on.. go talk to her!" clint nudged your shoulder as he nodded to the direction wanda was in she looked so beautiful.. whenever you got a glance of her the signal of butterflies would turn in your stomach and it made you somewhat smile to yourself it was common for you to do that.. smiling at the thought of wanda or smiling whenever you had a interaction with her you couldn't help it who wouldn't fall for her? he was bothering you all night to go up to wanda and dance with her or at least have a conversation with her but he knew you were too afraid to "I think i just need to sit down.. i dont know clint.. this party is just.." it was true the party was overwhelming with the music pulsating off of the walls even when you stepped outside for some "fresh air" it was nothing but the music still blasting strobe lights were even set up outside to "keep the party going" which was doing nothing but making everyones face in the crowd unrecognizable and the strong scent of weed making the air thick, the scent of sweat and alcohol mingling with the aroma of wanda in your mind wasn't doing you justice she always smelt like cherries and wine in the best way possible the only scent that you could ever get drunk off of, the only scent that ever brought comfort to you when you didn't feel safe, the only-
"Y/n! im so glad you made it!!" Wanda had the biggest smile on her face as her slender fingers caressed your shoulder bringing you the sense of home and getting rid of the overstimulated feelings you had from the party. You were caught off guard with the sight of wanda suddenly coming up to you, you didn't expect it but yes you did how couldn't you? you guys were friends and she was known for being the sweetest to you, you sometimes wonder if thats what made you catch feelings for her. You hated it but no matter how much you did it wouldn't go away.
"wanda.. hey.." it took a while for you to regain your composure as you were drunk off of literally nothing except the thought of wanda in your system well to be honest she was the only thing in your mind that night "i couldn't find you" you lied, you saw her multiple times throughout the night even when clint brought your attention to her and tried to pressure you into talking to her. You avoided her, you felt guilty about it. how could you? wanda was basically your friend that you had feelings for just a friend that you had a really good connection with, the first person to ever show you what true love was like? or was it just fully platonic you always wondered what she thought about your friendship with her..
"i was looking for you!" she giggled her laugh was like the only noise that ever brought you happiness the noises from the party fading away and the soft rustle of the cup she was holding which had a bit of what you assumed was rum her eyes glistening from the backyard lights really making the emerald green remind you of the beautiful grass that you always dreamt about laying in with her and being far away from home you stood there taking in the moment of her presence until she spoke again "let me get a drink for you!" she said loudly but quietly in your ear it was hard to speak with speakers literally making the music blast in your eardrums the music was too loud for you to understand what she said but you made it out in your mind as you nodded she took your hand gently dragging you through the big crowd of people who were all over the place dancing, drinking, smoking or just passed out all over the atmosphere was still a mess but with the sight of wanda your mind was blurred from the chaos of the party the noise quickly faded as you took in wandas features from her dark brown reddish hair to the curves on her body your mind was in awe her presence was like a aura of light in darkness
A few seconds later as your back inside of the house wanda hands you a cup of a drink you couldn't even recognize but you knew it was alcohol you weren't used to liquor but you decided to put on a front for wanda as you chugged it and had sort of a face of grimace as you put the cup back down onto the counter "i know you don't drink" you turned your gaze back to wandas as you spoke
"i know.." it was true you didn't drink but you decided to act tough for her or maybe loosen up once in a while but she knew you.. she knew that you hated parties, hated smoking, hated the thought of being peer pressured, hated alcohol. anything that was sinful for you in general you despised, but this night wanda was your heaven sent angel
"just thought i would've gave it a try you know?" you murmured into her ear the music was still too loud to have a conversation with one of you yelling or whispering into the others ear "I guess its not my thing" wanda brought her hand up to your back as she slowly caressed it up and down making a wave of comfort wash over you.
"it doesn't have to be your thing" her eyes softened as she noticed your discomfortness " Y/n.. you don't have to do anything you're not comfortable with" "you don't have to pretend with me you know?" you couldn't help but feel your cheeks warming up and blushing at the sound of your name coming out her mouth and the sentence that tugged at your heart strings heer words truly resonated within you, cutting through the noise of the party and the insecurities that had you held up throughout the party. A reassurance that you didn't have to adjust to anyone else's expectations to belong.
"honestly you could just be yourself and thats all i want" her pupils dilated as she looked into your eyes this caught you off guard "nothing else?" you smiled and teased wanda seeing how far you could push her back into her regular state she quickly hit your shoulder and rolled her eyes as she giggled.
A flashback to two months ago
You were invited to breakfast by wanda you weren't used to waking up as early as her. This restaurant spot was where you guys would meet up countless times to talk, study or just have a coffee you didn't like waking up early to meet up with wanda like this but you couldn't help but fiend for her presence so you pushed yourself cause it was wanda and you wanted her, you loved her, you desired her. The morning sun was glistening over your skin as you stared at your phone until wanda spoke up "The service is awfully slow today.." you weren't used to seeing wanda be impatient was she complaining too much? no she wasn't it's true the service was very slow it makes sense since it's summer there was many tourists visiting the city just for food, beaches, views and expenses it held. "I could've cooked my own food faster than this.." wanda muttered under her breath you weren't used to seeing cold attitude come from her even her voice was laced with venom but you quickly spoke up and decided to ignore it "i'm sure they're just busy.." you noticed she was biting the inside of her cheek wanda would always do this whenever she had something heavy on her mind or if she was just frustrated. It hurt you seeing her like this so you snapped her out of her thoughts "wanda our foods here" she quickly re adjusted herself straightening her posture in the seat as the server set her food down along with yours "Sorry for the wait, enjoy." the server smiled at you both as he walked away quickly attending other customers. Wanda just rolled her eyes leaving a awkward but comforting silence you weren't sure what to say to cut the tension in the air until wanda spoke up "So.. i have news" you noticed something was off her voice was a bit hesitant before speaking that wasn't normal either she was always so confident before she spoke.. you raised your eyebrow giving a signal to wanda to continue talking as you bit into your food "I've been seeing this guy.." your heart immediately stopped at the mention of a guy wanda is with, the oxygen in your lungs felt nonexistent, the butterflies in your stomach died, it felt like you were suffocating almost, your chest started to burn as you coughed on your food a bit as you tried to force a smile "That's great wanda" you spoke up trying to suppress the feelings of jealousy within you, you wanted to scream at her telling everything you ever felt for her what you loved about her and how much you longed for her but you knew you couldn't. wanda spoke up again silencing the ringing noise in your ears "We're still figuring things out you know?" "I just wanted you to be the first to know" she smiled at you how could you not love wanda? The room fell silent once again, the weight of Wanda's words heavy in the air. You glanced around the restaurant until you swallowed scrambled eggs and your feelings of jealousy "im happy for you" your voice was slightly trembled oh how you wished wanda wasn't so blind..
I was drinking hard, acting tough But it was just a crush, just a crush
There you were dancing with wanda you were at least two shots in not enough to be drunk but enough to start pouring out your heart to her of how you wanted to marry her, make her yours, or be hers? your body was starting to loosen up so was the lump in your throat with every secret you held you towards her you couldn't help but notice how beautiful wanda looked even with messy hair your mind would sometimes drift off wondering if that's what she would look like if you ever had the chance to wake up next to her. You couldn't help where your mind was drifting off to but it felt strange, your mouth started to open up as if it was a feeling of vomit the music made you deaf from any words that were about to come out your mouth you tried to protest it but soon your body gave up
"Wanda.." You said her name as if it was a prayer she kept dancing as she heard you speak up the lights looked so beautiful in her eyes as it glistened over her face making wanda a bit unrecognizable and making your vision hazy mixed with the alcohol you had...
You knew she didn't want you, You knew she was with vision, she belonged with vision, She didn't even think of you that way but here you were about to dump your feelings towards her the weight on your chest was starting to feel heavier.
As Wanda danced like a angel gracefully, her laughter ringing out like in your ears, you couldn't help but feel a pang of longing deep within your chest. She was so close, yet so far away, a distant star shining brightly in a sky you could never reach.
"Wanda" You repeated once again... You leaned into her waiting for her to send or give a sign of some assurance that she knew what you were trying to do or if your feelings were reciprocated she soon leaned in and brushed her lips against yours. Your heart started to pound quickly as if it was a ticking time bomb that was about to explode. The kiss was soft, tender she tasted like cherries, rum and wine with a hint of cinnamon you were testing the waters first until she deepened the kiss making it become more passionate with a trembling touch you cupped her face into your hand you could feel how warm her cheeks were getting and the smile forming on her face as you pulled back she pulled back into the kiss making her breath warm and sweet you could tell she wanted this too with the way she pushed her body against yours the longer the kiss continued you pulled back and started kissing onto her neck as she moaned into your ear all you wanted to do in that moment was melt into her arms but it soon came to a end.
The feeling of vomit was starting to get heavier on your chest the more you stared at her figure dancing in the strobing lights
"im gonna get another drink" Your voice trembled with emotion as she nodded and smiled give you assurance that she would be right there just dancing the night away knowing she'll never walk away from you. You wished you could stay there forever with her but you walked away quickly to the bathroom making your way through the crowd getting elbowed a few times and struggling to get out of some tight spaces
You immediately shut the door once you stepped in and looked at yourself in the mirror, your hair was messy droplets of sweat were pouring down your face, watery eyes, pupils dilated. You looked completely out of it, you couldnât tell what was real or fake, there was still adrenaline running throughout your veins from the sensation wanda had once placed on your lips and the melody she left ringing in your ear it was everything you ever wanted you soon closed your eyes turning on the sink splashing your face with water noticing the vivid image of wandaâs face and the lights you soon opened your eyes and smiled recollecting your thoughts of what just happened you were all happy and thought about how it was finally the right time to confess your feelings to wanda. You resented that vision was going to hold a spot in wandaâs heart even if you wanted to be in a relationship with her but you daydreamed about ways it could work out for the both of you.
Soon after you stopped smiling to yourself and daydreaming what you and wanda could be you soon stepped out the bathroom your eyes being greeted with the sight of clint coming up to you
âiâve been looking for you everywhere!â He drunkenly swung his arm around you catching you off guard forcing you to regain your balance âClint right now is not the best timeâŠâ You whispered into his ear trying to look for wanda in the crowd. It was hard to look for anyone in general even with the strobe lights flashing and fog in the air masking everyone, making it impossible to find her.
The air was choking up your throat as you tried to get a fresh breath of air from how terrible the party smelled but you had to adapt your senses to it even if it meant passing out all that mattered to you right now was getting to wanda. Your heart started to race the more you were scanning the crowd with desperation of finding wanda but you could barely recognize anyone⊠The feeling of clint trying to tug you back into his presence wasnât helping you focus much either and the fact that he was yelling into your ear was just causing you more overstimulation. You bumped into a couple of people having to apologize profusely over and over your voice noticeably shaking with fear and emotion untilâŠ.
You finally spotted wanda crossing out everyone in the crowd making the lights that were once flashing into your eyes causing a headache, you noticed she was dancing with a tall figure you really couldnât make out who it was but you noticed it was some tall blond lanky man dancing and grinding against her they looked like two intertwined souls dancing with not a care in the world. You couldnât help but feel a lump build up in your throat as you spotted the two having such a intimate dance, your throat got even tighter when you recognized it was vision the man who she would brag about all the time and how happy she was with him..
Was that why she was smiling at you all night? Was that why she didn't pull away from your kiss? Your mind drifted off to multiple scenarios maybe she was trying to get her mind off of vision. You knew he wasn't the perfect boyfriend for her well everyone had their reasonings but that's what you wanted to believe so you could swoop in and be with wanda because at the end of the day you believed that you were the one she belonged to. You remembered those nights you stayed up late just to hear her rambling about how many times she caught vision cheating on her you tried to convince her to break up with him not out of jealousy but out of how you wanted the best for her even if that meant not being with you. You didn't really have the right to be upset with her even if she was dancing with vision..
Feeling suffocated by the weight of unrequited love, you needed an escape â something to numb the ache in your chest and quiet everything that was going on in your head. So, without a second thought, you gave Clint a quick glance and pulled him into the kitchen, where all the drinks were stocked.. Your throat was tight and burning enough already, the alcohol was not going to suppress your feelings for her, it wasn't going to suppress the numbness you felt at the sight of wanda dancing with vision but you decided this is what you need to clear your head so you drank away
"Hey.. y/n lets slow down the drinks alright?" although clint was a bit drunk he still had a mind of his own. To be fair he was the only one out of the group who knew you best even since you didn't speak your feelings he could still tell what was wrong with you. You could notice that clint was very concerned and worried for you all you needed to do was to communicate with him so he could stop you for whatever disaster was about to happen.
"I'm fine."
You paused, your hand hovering over the bottle, the weight of Clint's words sinking in. In that moment, you realized that drowning your sorrows in alcohol wouldn't make the pain of seeing wanda with vision go away â it would only numb it temporarily. But either way you took a long chug of whichever alcohol you chose from the counter and how it left a sharp pain in your throat the same sharp pain wanda was leaving..
Clint watched you silently, his eyes filled with understanding and empathy. He knew all too well the pain you were having as he soon came to what made you this way the agony of watching someone he cares for slip through his fingers. "I just need a moment," you muttered, your words slurring slightly as the alcohol began to take effect. But even as you spoke, you couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness that gnawed at your insides, a constant reminder that wanda would never be yours and that her happily ever after would be with vision even in every other universe..
You were already soon too deep it had been a few minutes ever since you chugged multiple cups of alcohol and clint snatched the bottle from you although you tried to fight him and protest but you knew he wasn't doing any wrong so you soon gave up after.. You noticed a few looks coming from the crowd as you started to cause a scene while all clint was trying to do was diffuse the situation as he took the bottles and cups away from you.
Your body was starting to give up as you tried to lean against the counter for support even clint was trying to help you regain your composure your muscles were slacking and the lights started to turn into a hazy vision of a kaleidoscope, the weight of the alcohol and emotions bore down on you, the world around you began to blur and spin. With each passing moment, the room seemed to tilt on its axis, the sounds and colors melding together into a haze.
You tripped over your own foot as you tried to lean against the counter again but without warning you soon saw every overwhelming sense come to a halt as the last thing and all you could perceive were scurried footsteps and Wanda's voice, a distant echo calling out your name in panic and worry. The last sensation being the vibrations of her voice coming through and her hands reaching out to catch your weak body as you felt droplets from what you assumed were tears of concern coming from wanda.. In that moment, as darkness closed in around you, you couldn't help but not have a single thought but for now, all you could do was surrender to the embrace of unconsciousness and wandas arms wrapped around you as she tried to help you.. The voices of the crowd and clint and wanda and then vision were the finally the last thing.

what it is
summary: Oikawa x Reader. he makes it out of the friendzone (with some help)
word count: 1.3k
cw: nothing, oikawa in glasses
a/n: i wrote this in under an hour while heavily caffeinated?;!;!4& brain melting
âYouâre late,â you say with a grin. Oikawa Tooru pouts at you, his team jacket folded over his arms. Heâs already changed out of uniform, you notice; must have exchanged it for a white t-shirt and slacks in the locker room.
âI was swarmed,â he claims as the two of you start to walk together. You roll your eyes and donât even bother making a jab about his popularity with the girls (and people of all genders, really). At this point, youâve accepted that deranged fans come with the territory of being friends with the volleyball team captain.
You met Oikawa on the first day of your first year at Aoba Johsai and had been friends ever since. Even though you had no interest in the sport at first, his love for volleyball was infectious. He had even roped you into being the teamâs manager. You still werenât sure how he had pulled that off, but you didnât mind too muchâyouâd grown to love the team and the sport too, in your own way.
Despite your closeness, youâd never really understood why he had a fan club, especially as a teenage school athlete. You expected his popularity to grow when (not if) he went professional, but the idea of swooning over some guy you had pre-calculus classes with was totally foreign to you. It was a running joke among your friends that you were immune to Oikawaâs looks and charming magnetism (and, honestly, to all four of the teamâs upperclassmen. You could acknowledge how objectively attractive they all were even though none of them seemed to fit your niche).
Sometimes, you caught Oikawa making strange expressions while your friends teased you about not liking him. It felt like you were the only one who noticed these kinds of things, sometimes. You really liked being able to read him so easily: both of you had saved each other under the contact name âPlatonic Soulmateâ in your phones.
You chalked up the weird faces to your friendâs first-rate ego, and even though you knew that the notion of one person not being desperately in love with him wouldnât scratch the surface of his self-esteem, you always found yourself taking his hand surreptitiously or leaning your head on his shoulder when you did see him looking mopey. He always perked up, after that, and all would be sunshine again.
Today, everyone else had bailed on you when you suggested a joint ice-cream-and-study-date before next weekâs exams. Iwaizumi had claimed that Oikawa was too loud and always distracted him, so he couldnât seriously try to study together. Matsukawa had to babysit and refused to bring the brats, as he affectionately called his siblings, to get sweets. Hanamaki had just quirked his eyebrows at you and said, âI donât feel like third wheeling. Thanks, but no thanks.â
You hadnât really understood what he meant, but you hadnât questioned it.
Oikawa had almost begged off to do some solo practice, too, but youâd made a fuss about nearing the end of your high school experience and worrying that you would fall out of touch when volleyball became his whole life (even moreso than it was now!), and heâd caved with an overdramatic sigh and a soft look that told you he wasnât all that mad about your guilt-tripping.
Youâre broken from your thoughts when you reach the ice-cream shop, Oikawa jabbering in your ear about some drama you canât keep up with.
âAnd then she told meâah, I canât read the menu. You know, they were late refilling my contact prescription this month, so Iâve been carrying around my glasses, I hate it. So unflattering.â
You worry your lip as you stare at the flavor chart, barely listening to him talk.
âIâm sure itâs,â you start, turning to him as he slides the case out of his pocket and puts the frames on his face in a smooth motion. âUm.â
The glasses are not unflattering, you think dumbly, staring at him, your sentence hanging unfinished. The glasses perch on his nose perfectly, making you appreciate, for the first time, the shape of his nose and his cheekbones. Had they always been that sharp? And since when had his eyes been so pretty, reflecting the sunlight in so many shades, framed with long eyelashes that would have made you jealous if you werenât soâ
You reach out and lift the glasses off his face slowly, hoping that the old, familiar features that youâd never felt anything but friendship-friendly feelings towards would return. You can still see it, though: the divot of his Cupidâs bow is appealing, now, his smooth skin glowing to you, his surprised expression fucking adorable. You drop the frames back onto his nose.
Very abruptly, whatever immunity you once had to Oikawaâs looks is demolished in one fell swoop.
âI have to go have a midlife crisis,â you say decisively, and march out of the shop.
âHey! Whatâwhere are you going? Youâre not even middle-aged?â Oikawa calls after you, and you try steadfastly to ignore him, but every sense seems to have been awakened to your friend. Your face flushes, and you start walking faster, nearing the pace of a jog even though your limbs are stiff.
You finally pull over in a quieter, slightly more secluded spot between two buildings. You lean against the wall, closing your eyes, trying to remind yourself to take deep breaths.
âAre you okay?â Oikawa says, and you curse his long, athlete legs for having followed you so swiftly. âWhatâs wrong?â
You open your eyes. Heâs still wearing the fucking glasses. Rest in peace, you think to yourself, surely my heart is going to give up soon, at the rate itâs going. Your lips part, but you canât seem to get the words out. His worried gaze studies you until he finds somethingâexactly whatever you didnât want him to see. A slow smile unfurls over his face, and you narrow your eyes. Ugh, how dare his smugness be attractive too, now?
âI should wear the glasses more often, huh?â He says, and you shake your head no frantically.
âPlease donât,â you say. âItâs, like, it doesnât even matter anymore, anyway, I canât unsee it now.â
âUnsee what?â He cocks his head, and heâs getting closer, and thereâs nowhere to back away from him because youâre up against a wallâ
âYouâre hot!â You wail. âI saw it and Iâm never gonna stop thinking it now, it doesnât even matter what you wear, Iâm doomed! This is the worst thing ever, âKawa, howâm I supposed to go on⊠I canât be your friend and a part of your fan club. I donât think I can even be a part of your fan club âcause I donât just think youâre hot, I think I have a crush on youâoh, my God, I have a cââ
Your increasingly frantic rambling is cut off by Oikawa sealing his lips to yours. The kiss is quick and sweet, and when he pulls away he still looks so, so handsome, and so concerned.
âPlease breathe,â he says, and you nod, gaping at him in shock. âI like you too, okay? Please stop having a crisis.
âOkay,â you exhale, bracing your hands on his shoulders. âOkay. Iâm still freaking out, though. I think the only way to stop it is to keep kissing me.â
Oikawa heaves a big, overdramatic sigh, and leans in, his glasses bumping your face; giving in to you, just like he always does.
#WAS this inspired by the time i saw my bf in glasses and literally went to my friendâs dorm and screamed for sixteen seconds (he timed it)#well iâm not telling. thatâs a secret.#oikawa: i like you#reader (visions of oikawa in that godawful plaid outfit swimming thru their head): i think even thatâs hot now. i have to get a lobotomy#oikawa x reader#oikawa tooru x reader#oikawa tĆru x reader#oikawa fluff#haikyuu!! x reader#haikyuu x reader#hq x reader#hq!! x reader#haikyuu!! fluff#haikyuu!! x reader fluff#hq x reader fluff#oikawa x reader fluff#hq!! fluff#the word fluff doesnt look real anymore

Moths to the Flame
Jason Todd x Female Reader (Addams Family AU)
Tags: Jason Todd, Female Reader, OOC, fluff, Addams Family AUÂ
Summary: Jason finds his heart captured by you whose haunting beauty and playful spirit ignite a passionate romance that dances delightfully between darkness and desire.
WC: 542Â words
A/N: YALL just walk with me for a momentâŠthis past weekend I watched the 1991 Addams family movie and it has become such a comfort movie for me. Like the love Gomez and Morticia have for one another warms my heart! And I couldnât help but thinkâŠwhat if I wrote an AU with Jason x Reader? This could completely flop but I had to share it đđ€
The dim light of the candlelit dinner flickered as Jason leaned back in his chair, an amused grin spread across his face. The opulent dining room was filled with the intoxicating scent of rich, dark foodâbraised rabbit with black currant sauce, of course. Everything about the evening felt delightfully macabre, from the creaking of the old mansion to the echo of thunder rumbling outside.
His eyes sparkled with mischief as he watched you across the table. You were the embodiment of everything he found enchanting: your long, hair cascaded over your shoulders like a waterfall of night, framing your skin and striking features. Tonight, you wore a deep black gown that hugged your figure perfectly, the lace details giving it a hauntingly beautiful touch.
Jason leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand as he looked at you with unfiltered admiration. "You know, my dear," he began, his voice smooth and low, "every time I see you in that dress, itâs as if the shadows themselves are drawn to your elegance. You could make the Grim Reaper himself hesitate."
You raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk on your lips. "And what, pray tell, would you do if the Grim Reaper came knocking?"
His grin widened, and he leaned even closer, lowering his voice conspiratorially. "Oh, Iâd invite him to join us for dinner, of course. But only if you agreed to wear that dress. A fitting companion for our macabre soirĂ©e."
You laughed, a sound that danced in the air like a siren's call. It warmed his heart, sending a thrill through him. The way your eyes sparkled with mischief made him feel alive, as if he had stumbled upon a secret no one else could know.
"You're too much, Jason," you replied, shaking your head playfully. "But flattery will get you everywhere."
He feigned a sigh, clutching his chest dramatically. "Ah, but how can I not gush over the woman who makes even the darkness jealous? You are like a night sky full of stars, and I am but a moth, drawn to your light."
You couldnât help but smile at his theatrics. Jason stood up from his seat, moving around the table with the grace of a dancer. As he reached you, he gently took your hands in his, his gaze intensifying. âEvery moment spent with you feels like a danceâdangerous, delightful, and utterly thrilling. I would face any monster, any curse, just to see you smile.â
Your heart raced as you gazed into his deep, stormy eyes, feeling the warmth of his presence envelop you. âAnd what if that monster is you?â you teased, unable to resist.
âThen I would be your monster,â he replied with a devilish grin, âif it meant I could keep you by my side forever.â
In that moment, surrounded by the flickering candles and the echoes of thunder outside, you realized you wouldnât want it any other way. With a playful spark in your eyes, you leaned closer, your foreheads touching, the tension electrifying the air around you.
âJust donât forget who the real monster is,â you whispered, lips curving into a playful smirk, and in that breath, Jason knew you were exactly where you both belonged: in each otherâs darkness.

Bridal Visions: Photoshoot #2 - Liyue Bridal - Tests
Summary: You werenât quite sure what you wouldâve expected from modeling traditionally-styled bridal clothes with Zhongli, but you really shouldâve been prepared for a slew of fun facts about wedding traditions. But even then you wouldnât have been prepared for the test of will that was seeing Zhongli in a groom's outfit standing next to you while you wore a brideâs clothes.
Type: Female reader/ 800 Followers Event/ series/ sfw/ fluff/ flirtation
Bridal Visions Series Masterlist
Word Count: 1438
I shifted slightly where I stood next to Zhongli, and it was honestly strange to see the man, who was usually dressed from head to toe in shades of brown, gold and black, in a brilliant red color. Though the gold accents were still present.
But then, I had been told that the woman whoâd designed the bridal clothes we were currently modeling had designed them with each of the countries' traditions in mind. And, as Zhongli had confirmed, red was a traditional wedding color for Liyue, and these outfits matched that tradition with their brilliant crimson hue that was paired with shiny gold embroidery to make for an incredibly flashy look.
I could only imagine how long it took to complete just one sleeve of my outfitâs jacket, let alone all of it with all of the embroidery, though.
The designer, Chiori, stood next to a young photographer with their heads bent towards one another as the two of them discussed what pose to try next.
Me and Zhongli had already been seated for one image, and then weâd tried it with me sitting and him standing, and now we were apparently going to do one with both of us standing. But, I supposed it would have been ridiculous to even hope that weâd settle on a good image with the first picture.
I glanced down at the paper fan in my hands, idly wondering if it had been purchased from Liyue or made precisely for this photoshoot. At this point, neither option would really surprise me.Â
It seemed that Chiori had missed nothing in her preparations for this photoshoot.
And, at the very least, I wasnât bored while waiting for our next pose to be decided. After all, I had Zhongli to keep a steady stream of both conversation and fun facts flowing.
âOne common tradition was that the groom would have to go through a series of tests, or overcome certain barriers, before being allowed to see the brideâs face. Many couples still do this today,â I smiled at both Zhongli's words and his amused expression as I eyed him.
The thought of Zhongli being tested before he could see someoneâs face was oddly amusing, though, since I honestly couldnât think of anything that might be difficult for the man. Save for perhaps having to eat certain types of seafood.
âWhat were the tests like?â I shifted, looking his way as I spoke so that I could better watch him. And, as expected, he looked perfectly amused by the mere thoughts of the tests the groom might have to undergo to prove his worth.
He hummed at my question, glancing my way with a smile before tilting his head, âIt is my understanding that they vary based on what the brideâs attendants and family think will be most difficult or amusing.â
I almost snorted at the humor in his tone, shaking my head slightly and causing the golden ornaments in my hair to tinkle like tiny bells, âSo for you it would be something like eating eel?âÂ
I grinned at him as I spoke. Watching as a frown crossed his face as he met my gaze, âOnly you could think of something so cruel.âÂ
I snickered at his pout before shaking my head again and lightly tapping his chest with the edge of my fan, âNo. It should be properly difficult if youâre having to prove yourself. And anything else would be too easy for you.â
He smiled, his brows arching slightly at me as he pressed one hand to his chest, âYou flatter me, but you almost make it sound like you would not wish to wed at all.â
I blinked, my eyes widening slightly at his teasing before I frowned at him. Opening my fan and hiding my pout behind it even as I peered at him over the edge of the paper, âTeasing behavior like that is why you should have to undergo such rigorous testing. Itâll be for the brideâs sake.â
He chuckled at my words before glancing over to where Chiori and the photographer were finishing up.
Chiori walked over, gesturing to me lightly as she spoke, âAll of our photographs indicate that we have a shy bride, so weâre going to try leaning into that.â
I blinked at her words, utterly thrilled that I already had the fan covering part of my face, if only to hide my reaction.
But I could hardly help acting shy or embarrassed considering I was with Zhongli, of all people. The man was frustratingly charming even when he was simply dispensing some new fun fact.Â
âSo hereâs what weâre going to do. Youâre going to hold up your fan just like that, but you need to smile and look that way, away from him.â I obeyed her instructions, and she nodded approvingly before glancing at Zhongli.
But rather than speaking, Chiori just blinked at him for a moment before nodding, âYes, that expression right there will do.â
The instant she spoke, I glanced back at Zhongli with a frown, whispering as she walked away from us, âWhat did you do?â
If anything, my suspicious tone merely further amused him, and he shook his head, âI smiled. I was thinking of how this pose would be fitting since brides are supposed to hide their face until the groom passes his tests.â
I blinked, my eyes widening slightly before a smile crossed my face, and I snorted slightly, âAnd you definitely havenât passed any tests regarding eating eel.â
At my words, he inclined his head in agreement, an amused smile crossing his face that had me blinking and looking away from him as I awkwardly fluttered my fan.Â
But it was just too unfair for him to be able to look that charming when Iâd been the one teasing him.
I supposed he was just that good at leaning into his role of an amused groom who wanted to see his brideâs face. And, all at once, I wondered if anyone would ever be able to live up to Zhongli when it came to looking like a picture-perfect husband-to-be.
I could almost feel myself flush at the twisting path my brain had taken to considering Zhongli as a groom rather than just a close friend. Especially since I was definitely considering him as a groom standing next to me just like he was right now. And I could only assume I made some sort of face since the problematic man in question spoke up from beside me in a slightly hushed voice, âWhat is it?â
His tone wasnât really one of concern, though. Rather, it was one filled with subtly restrained amusement. Almost like he knew exactly what I was thinking.
I staunchly avoided eye contact, ignoring the slightly giddy smile that wove its way across my face as I looked away from where he leaned slightly towards me, obviously curious about my expression, âNothing. Weâre supposed to be posing anyway.â
No sooner than Iâd finished speaking than I heard the camera click and the flash went off. Immediately capturing this moment in time.
Both Zhongli and I twisted over at the same time. Looking towards both Chiori and the photographer, who each had their eyes locked onto the screen of the camera. But even then I could clearly see the smile that spread across Chioriâs face as she nodded approvingly, âPerfect.â
She looked back up at us, her smile disappearing as she took on a more businesslike tone, âOkay, weâve got what we need. Thank you. Iâll send your payment through the Adventurerâs Guild, so after you change, youâre free to go.â
We both nodded, and I lowered my fan, exhaling a breath I hadnât known Iâd been holding before I glanced over at Zhongli, who was smiling in an oddly pleased manner, âI understand that Fontaine has a great number of culinary delights. Since we are here, we should try some.âÂ
I felt myself grin at his words, wholly unsurprised by Zhongliâs perpetual need to try food and no doubt critique it.
I tilted my head at him leaning towards him playfully even as I turned to go get changed, âDo you reckon theyâll have eel available?â
His expression flickered, a frown briefly appearing before his expression shifted once more to something more smug, âEven if they do, Iâll have no need of it. After all, I have already seen your face.â
I giggled lightly at his tone, ignoring his pleased expression as I turned and walked away. Determined not to keep picturing Zhongli as the perfect groom he most definitely would be.

Merry Christmas
Summary: Itâs the most wonderful time of the year. You and Natasha are off to the annual Stark Christmas Party. Little does the team know that a special surprise awaits them.
Genre: Fluff
Pairings: Natasha x reader, Avengers x reader (platonic).
Word Count: 2.7k
Warnings: None
A/N: This is part 2 to Happy Thanksgiving! I recommend reading it first, but it can be read as a stand-alone story as well. I hope you enjoy!
âBe down in a minute, malyshka!â Natasha called from the bedroom.Â
You were standing in the cozy kitchen, savoring spoonfuls of creamy peanut butter straight from the jar, drizzled with rich chocolate sauce. You jokingly referred to it as your "homemade Reese's." It was your first pregnancy craving, prompting Nat to rush to the corner grocery store at 2 am to procure the duo of ingredients.
"No worries!" You were all set for Tony's yearly Christmas gathering at the compound. Clad in a stunning green Sequin-Lace Halter Twist-Neck Jumpsuit, your tiny baby bump added an extra glow to the outfit.
Natasha's arrival was announced by the confident click of her high heels. A few moments later, she appeared in a stunning, sleek red midi dress with a scoop-back design, perfectly accentuating her figure.
"Wow, Nat, you look absolutely stunning in red. It's definitely your color," you complimented.
Her smirk grew as she put on her earrings, 'So, you're choosing it over the black?' she teased.
"I never said that, did I?" with a cheeky wink.
"Is the little one loving the homemade Reeseâs?" she said, grabbing her clutch.
Absolutely!" I exclaimed, setting aside the tempting chocolate and peanut butter. "How about we whip up some delicious fudge tomorrow?
"Is it because the baby has such a sweet tooth?" Nat playfully teased.
"Absolutely," you giggled coyly.
"Whatever the baby wants, I guess," she said as she enveloped you in a warm embrace, then leaned over to plant a tender kiss on your belly.
"Are you ready to drop the baby bomb tonight?" Patting Nat's head affectionately.
âI'm feeling a bit nervous," she confessed, standing upright. "I remember how everyone reacted when they learned about Clint's family. I can't help but wonder how they'll take this news.
âThey will embrace their roles as the wonderful aunts and uncles they were meant to be,â you said, grabbing your wife's hand. âPlus, announcing it with the Christmas crackers is a cute idea.â
"I hope so," she whispered before planting a gentle kiss on your lips.Â
Can you believe Yelena still hasn't spilled the beans?â you asked.
"Oh, that's because I warned her that if she told anyone, I would make her run with me every morning at 5 am until the baby is born," Natasha explained.
âWell played,â you replied, high-fiving your wife.Â
Thank you," she smiled. "Now, come on, let's go and get into the holiday spirit.
*^~^*
As you drove to the compound, the snowflakes delicately blanketed the landscape, creating a picturesque scene of holiday cheer. Each house you passed was adorned with shimmering Christmas lights, casting a warm, enchanting glow upon the neighborhood. You reached out to hold Natasha's hand, your fingers naturally intertwining as she pressed a tender kiss to the back of your hand, savoring the moment.
Upon your arrival at the compound, a rush of inviting warmth enveloped us as you both stepped into the lobby. Natasha brushed the delicate snowflakes from your hair and coat, her caring touch bringing a sense of comfort. Together, you made your way onto the elevator, where the voice of FRIDAY greeted us, creating a tranquil atmosphere as we continued our journey.
âLadies, Merry Christmas, and welcome to the annual Stark Christmas party!â
âMerry Christmas, FRIDAY. Howâs the party so far?â You asked as the elevator hum carried you up to the living quarters.
âThe festivities are in full swing. Mr. Stark is treating the guests to a medley of lively and heartwarming Christmas carols,â FRIDAY explained.
"Of course he is," you chuckled.
âHe only plays that baby grand after a few drinks," Nat added. "After our month-long covert op in Romania, we flew back, and he decided to mark the occasion with a tipsy performance of ABBAâs Dancing Queen.â
"Ah, I can't believe I missed it!" you groaned, pretending to be disappointed.
As the elevator doors slid open, the vibrant red and green decorations instantly caught your eye, along with the magnificent 12-foot-tall Noble Fir Christmas tree that stood proudly in the heart of the common area. It was evident that Pepper had poured her heart into adorning the tree, carefully draping it in an array of colored lights and delicate silver and gold ornaments. The festive ambiance filled the air, evoking a sense of warmth and holiday cheer.
"Look who's here - the Romanoff's have arrived!" Clint cheered as his kids eagerly ran over to greet you and Natahsa.
As Nate leaped into your wife's embrace, you welcomed Lila and Cooper with warm hugs. Each time you saw the Barton kids, it became apparent that they had grown a little more. Banner and Cho made carrying a child that would be a combination of both your and Natasha's genes possible. Observing the striking resemblance of Clint and Laura's children to their parents, you eagerly anticipated discovering which traits your little plum would inherit from each of you.
Natasha leaned in and planted a kiss on Nathaniel's cheek. "How's my little namesake?" she grinned. "Have you been practicing those punch and kick combinations I taught you?
"Practicing the what?" Laura asked, raising an eyebrow.
âOh, nothing,â Natasha flashed a sly smile as Nate burst into laughter.
"You both look amazing! The green and red combination is really working for you," Clint said.
Thanks! I have to say that your Christmas sweater is quite lovely. I really dig Rudolph's glowing nose." You don't see that very often!â You teased.
âHey, the Bartonâs are the cream of the crop when it comes to ugly Christmas sweaters.â
âClearly,â Nat stated.
"Iâll take your coats," Cooper graciously offered.
"Wow, thank you. What a gentleman," you said as you handed him yours and Natashaâs pea coats.
Looking around, you spotted Wanda adding the final decorations to trays of delicious Christmas cookies. You put a hand on Natâs shoulder and motioned toward the kitchen. She gave you a quick nod as you meandered over to the counter.Â
"Wanda, Wanda, Wanda... What do we have here?" you inquired with a sly grin.
Y/N! It's so good to see you," she exclaimed, her arms wrapping around me in one of her signature warm and comforting hugs that I always loved. "This is my parents' famous Christmas cookie recipe," she proudly announced, holding up a worn and stained piece of paper. "I managed to convince Tony and Pepper to let me take charge of the desserts this year. So, we've got batches of freshly baked cookies, the decadent Viennese torte chilling in the fridge, and the pumpkin pie just coming out to cool on the counter.
Wow, you've been keeping busy," you said with a smile. "Is there anything I can do to lend a hand?
"Sure, you can take a cookie and go mingle. I'll be finished in a few minutes," she said, handing you a delightful cookie shaped like Santa. As you bit into it, you were amazed. It was the most delicious cookie you had ever tasted.
"Wow, Wanda! This is fantastic!" you exclaimed excitedly.
"That's exactly why I'll always champion homemade goodies over store-bought ones. Now, come on, go join the fun," she said, playfully shooing you away.
You turned around to see your wife, elegantly positioned by the fireplace, conversing with Steve with a champagne glass. As you began crossing the room, Kate and Lucky, adorned in festive attire, intercepted your path.
"Y/N! It's been ages! How have you been?" Kate exclaimed, her face lighting up with excitement.
"Hey, Kate! It's great to see you and Lucky enjoying the party," while giving the Golden Retriever some affectionate pets.
"Kate joyfully exclaimed, "Yes, say hello to Santa Paws and Mrs. Claus!" Sadly, we can't seem to find Yelena. She's our dedicated elf." Kate glanced around the room with concern.
Wait, Yelena is actually dressed as an elf?!" Your eyes widened in surprise. "Oh, that's fantastic.â
âYeah, if you see her, will you send her our way? Weâre supposed to take the photo for our holiday card tonight,â Kate explained.
"Nothing would make me happier," you said with a smirk and a hand resting on Kate's shoulder.
You bid farewell to the young archer and her loyal pup before rejoining your wife.
"Hey detka," Nat greeted, gently wrapping her arm around your waist.
"Y/N, I was just telling your wife that she needs to find her holiday spirit and come Christmas caroling with us next week," Steve stated.
"Natasha singing? I'm not convinced that would do wonders for the community's morale," you quipped.
Nat giggled at the remark, "Says the woman who performs one-woman tributes to Harry Styles in the shower?"
âHey" you interrupted, "I'll have you know that my performance of Sign of the Times has been receiving high praise.
A moment later, Tony and Pepper joined your little group, with Morgan walking alongside them.
"Hey there, Romanoffs! You've got to taste this amazing Hot Buttered Rum," Tony exclaimed.
I adore Hot Buttered Rum, but I'm in the mood for some sparkling cider tonight," you explained. "I bet Nat would enjoy some, though. Don't you think, sweetheart?â
"Sure," she said, grabbing the glass from Tony's hand. Steve looked back at you curiously.
As you looked down at Morgan, who was sitting on the cozy ottoman next to the crackling fireplace, you couldn't help but feel a deep connection. Ever since you discovered that you were expecting a baby, your heart has been inexplicably drawn to children in a way you had never experienced before.
"Hey there, cutie!" you exclaimed to the young Stark. "You're looking lovely tonight," as you crouched down to her eye level.
"Thank you, Aunt Y/N," she said with a big grin.
âAre you getting excited for Christmas?" you inquired. "You're at the top of Santa's nice list this year!
âReally?!â Morgan squealed.
"Definitely! I have a feeling the man in red will bring you some amazing surprises this year," you winked.
Hey, did you hear that, Daddy? Aunt Y/N just told me that I'm at the very top of the nice list!
âI sure did, squirt. I didnât realize Aunt Y/N was so tight with St. Nick,â Tony said, eyeing you coyly.
"Of course, we're on a first-name basis. I'm amazed you're not," you said with a smirk, looking at the billionaire. You had a strong bond with Tony, treating him like a brother, but you couldn't resist teasing him.
Trust me, Mrs. Romanoff," Tony said with a smirk. "I'm way closer to Santa than you are.
âDo you have a direct line to the North Pole?â You countered.
"Are you getting milk and cookies flown in from Holland? You know those are his absolute favorites," Tony remarked, giving you a knowing look.
"Alright, that's enough," your wife said as she touched your shoulders from behind. "You both know Santa. You both have giant egos. Merry Christmas," Nat mocked. "Come on, Tony, let's grab some hors d'oeuvres for our better halves. I'll be right back, detka," she said, leading the billionaire toward the kitchen.
You couldnât help but admire Natasha as she walked away. Looking back over her shoulder, she smiled at you with all the love in the world. You just about melted right there in front of the fireplace. Snapping out of your love daze, you noticed Pepper grinning at you.
âWhat?â you asked.
"Oh, nothing. I just canât help but notice how glowing you look tonight," Pepper said as Morgan pulled her away towards Clintâs kids, while Steve strolled away to join Bucky in conversation with Rhodes.
"Hey, psst... psst!" a voice suddenly whispered.
You suddenly spun around just in time to see a styrofoam snowball hurtling towards your face. With lightning-fast reflexes, you snatched it out of the air smoothly.
"Good catch," a Russian voice exclaimed.
"Yelena, where are you?" You glanced around, but couldn't see my sister-in-law anywhere.
"Over here!" she called out, peeking from behind the towering seven-foot snowman beside the pool table.
"Aww, you look absolutely adorable as an elf," you giggled.
Yelena's voice was barely audible as she uttered, "If you weren't pregnant with my niece or nephew, you would be hanging upside down from the rafters right now."
"Do you know that Kate and Lucky are looking for you?" you asked.
âWhy do you think Iâm hiding behind the enormous snowman? Kate Bishop forced me to dress in this saccharin American Christmas costume, and now she wants photographic evidence of it.â Yelena said.
"Because she loves you, silly," she said with a smile, arms crossed over her chest.
"Dinner time, detka. Let's go," Natasha called out and then abruptly halted, bursting into laughter at the sight of her sister.
âTred carefully, sestra,â Yelena threatened.Â
Nope, I'm loving this. Isn't this the new mission suit attire?" she said, playfully tapping the bell hanging from her elf hat. "Maybe we can convince Stark to level up this outfit with some Widow Bites action.
âDo you have a death wish?â Yelena sneered.
âCome on, you adorable elf, itâs time for dinner,â you say as you place an arm around your best friendâs shoulder.

As you sat next to your wife at the elegant Astoria Grand Giovani dining table, the soft touch of Natasha's hand sent a gentle warmth through you. You turned to her and caught her shy smile; her cheeks tinged with a rosy, festive blush.
Pepper rose from her seat beside Tony at the head of the lavishly decorated holiday table. With warmth in her voice and a genuine smile, she addressed the gathered guests. "Before we savor this delectable holiday spread, I want to express our deep gratitude for every one of you being here," she said, gently clasping Tony's hand. "Every person in this room understands the preciousness of life, and we cherish every moment together. We want you to know how much we love you, and we wish you all a Merry Christmas."
"Cheers!" Thor exclaimed a few seats away, raising his glass as clinking filled the table.
The festive Christmas feast brought an abundance of delightful dishes to savor. The centerpiece was a perfectly roasted turkey, surrounded by tempting trimmings. Freshly baked bread, creamy mashed potatoes, and garden-fresh vegetables, delicately roasted and complemented with balsamic vinegar, graced the table. Laughter filled the air as the group indulged in cheerful conversation and shared a medley of lighthearted, albeit incredibly corny, jokes.
As the evening progressed, pregnancy mood swings began to intensify. Amidst the gathering, a wave of emotion washed over you as you and your extended family relished the holiday season together.
"Y/N, are you alright?" Carol's eyes held a deep sense of concern as she gazed at you from across the table.
Oh, yeah," you say, dabbing at the corner of your eyes with a napkin. "I'm fine.
"The holidays always tug at her heartstrings," Natasha covered, resting her head on your shoulder.
After your delicious dinner, you assisted Wanda in setting up the dessert spread. Placing the Christmas cookies in the center, you carefully arranged the Viennese torte and the pumpkin pie on either side. As the evening progressed, you passed around coffee and dessert wine; all enjoying the company and the sweet treats.
The room was filled with the cozy warmth of full bellies and slightly sleepy eyes as the group relaxed in the living room. Soft, enchanting Christmas music filled the air, creating the perfect backdrop for the kids' lively discussions about their Christmas wishes and what they hoped Santa would bring them this year.
"Alright, Kate Bishop, let's hurry up with this photo. I can't wait to change into my pajamas," Yelena declared as she reluctantly rose from the couch.
You got it! Stay right there. Come here, Lucky," Kate called out as the dog happily bounded over. "Vision, could you snap the photo for us?
"Of course, Ms. Bishop," he said, confidently taking the Canon EOS R-50 from the archer's hands.
âIt is customary to say cheese before a picture, but since it is Christmas time, perhaps you should say mistletoe?â Vision inquired.
"Just take the picture, you overgrown toaster," Yelena said dryly, a hint of impatience in her voice.
Kate's voice echoed through the room, 'Mistletoe!'
"Hey, we're getting one of these cards, right?" you eagerly looked at your wife.
âI had Kate put us down for two,â she smirked.
*^~^*
As darkness descended, you leaned back and rested your tired head on Nat's comforting lap, feeling the soothing sensation of her fingers gently running through your hair.
Natasha glanced at her watch, noting the late hour. "Are you ready to drop the baby bomb?"
"I'm as ready as I'll ever be. I'll grab the Christmas crackers," you declared, getting up from the sofa.
"Hey everyone, Y/N and I have a surprise for you," your wife nervously announced as you handed out the gold and silver novelties to the team.
"Christmas crackers? Seriously? I was expecting something a bit more extravagant⊠Oww!" Tony complained as Pepper playfully pinched his arm.
You smiled nervously, your heart racing as you reached for Natasha. The snap of the festive crackers echoed merrily across the room. Clint's eyes lit up as he was the first to reach inside and carefully remove the tiny gift from the cracker. The little round ceramic white ornament, delicately tied to a vibrant red ribbon, appeared in his hand, reflecting the warm glow of the holiday lights. Lila, Cooper, and Nate, their faces filled with excitement and curiosity, eagerly huddled around their dad to get a glimpse as Clint slowly turned the ornament to read the inscription, a moment of joy and togetherness shared by the entire family.
"Uncle Clint?" he read, looking up at Natasha in complete shock.
Sam couldn't believe it and shouted, "No way!"
As Wanda, Carol, and Kate gazed upon their unique ornaments, they couldn't help but shout a collective scream of joy. Each ornament proudly displayed its name, followed by the cherished title of "Aunt."
Thor exclaimed, 'This is joyous news!'
Pepper jumped to her feet and wrapped you in a bear hug, while Laura did the same with Natasha.
âHow far along are you?â Wanda asked.
âAlmost three months,â Yelena cut in.
"Wait, you knew?! Why didn't you tell me?" Kate yelled, slapping her girlfriend on the arm.
âBecause I want to sleep in!â Yelena shouted.
"Nat, I'm thrilled for you," Steve exclaimed, gently kissing her cheek.
Bucky enveloped you in a warm embrace, planting a soft kiss on your head.
"Are you ready to take on the role of Uncle Bucky?" You lock eyes with him.
His face froze in sheer panic, like a deer caught in the headlights. âOh my God.â
âYouâll be great, Buck,â you chuckled.Â
Bruce and Helen wrapped Natasha in a warm, heartfelt embrace, simultaneously holding her close from both sides.
Helen turned to you with a look of relief. "Now that everyone knows, we can openly discuss your pregnancy," she said. "Have you been taking your prenatal vitamins regularly?
"Don't forget, you've got an appointment on Friday," Bruce said.
Without a second thought, you replied, "Yes and yes," as Natasha leaned in to gently kiss your cheek, followed by another on your belly.
Tony swaggered up to you with his trademark smirk playing at the corners of his lips. Bracing yourself for one of his classic Stark one-liners or a cheeky joke, you were entirely taken off guard when he unexpectedly enveloped you in a comforting and heartfelt hug.
âCongratulations, Romanoff,â Tony said. âIt looks like you do know Santa best.âÂ
