Better get shopping!  2 months to go!
When in doubt, and maybe most importantly this year, give donations in honor of your family and friends rather than material objects.

A Suzanne Helps…Coronavirus/COVID-19 To Dos #5
Get to know yourself!  This one is inspired/dedicated to my friend, Theresa, on her birthday. :)
Look into your family history.  It’s another daunting project, but start with one side or one person.  There are a lot of resources online, including databases that you can access with a library card via their website.  Census records can be of great help (the 1st was Census Day), so can city, county, state, federal and military records.  Maybe even try Ellis Island records to see when your family came to America.  Again, another project the kids can help with, and they may need this information for a future school project.
Word of caution: I took a genealogy class in school and my professor said to be careful about completely trusting information someone else may have posted online.  Treat it like you would if you were writing a paper for school.  Wikipedia is a great place to start, but find your own confirmed sources to site in the paper you turn in.

I got creative and decorated a shelf I have using old travel maps.
So get creative with string, paint, paper, fabric, etc.  Stores are starting to open up at least for online pick-ups - think of the possibilities!

I love the Olympics!  The patriotism athletes have for their country, their personal stories of living their dreams, and cheering on the USA - two weeks of excitement and some wow moments.
So the 2020 Games have been postponed and all sporting events halted...so if you need to get your sport fix during these quiet times, try the movie “Miracle.”  It is the true story of the 1980 US Olympic Hockey team (aka the Miracle on Ice team). Forty years later you can still cheer the team to victory (and maybe shed a tear) for one of the greatest sporting events ever and one of America’s proudest moments.  You don’t have to know anything about hockey, in fact, this movie got me into liking hockey.  Go Kings Go!  Go USA!
And if you are more of a reader, check out “The Boys of Winter” by Wayne Coffey.
P.S.  Fine movie for the kids.  And watch the DVD extras if you can, very interesting.
Other great sports movies: “Field of Dreams” (baseball) or “Remember the Titans” (high school football)

I thought I would throw out some recommendations for things to do, see, read, etc. while we are all stuck at home.  These are some of MY favorites, so you don’t have to like them, but you should ‘cause I have good taste. :)
First up, the appropriate for this time in our lives -  “Five Feet Apart” book or movie.  Yes, we should be six feet apart, but they address that in the book or movie.  Read or watch, it’s a cute YA love story.

Binge watch your favorite TV show or movie, or binge ones you have never seen.  This was my Corona-binge - all four versions of “A Star is Born,” which I had never seen.
I do not have a favorite version, they were all similar yet different in their own way.  I liked the original songs by Judy, Barbra and Lady Gaga.  I think my favorite credit ever was how all of Barbra’s clothes from the movie were from “her closet.”

Because this is Nicole’s favorite movie (haha) and in honor of Monday and Tuesday’s celebration, watch all the Star Wars movies or just your favorites.

Spring clean.  Redecorate.
Read.
Work on that to-do/honey-do list.
Get crafty.
Journal. Write the great American novel.
Discover new music, or reminiscence about the songs you haven’t heard in a while.
Dance like no one is watching (which they shouldn’t be because everyone is on lock down).
Cook or bake.
Plan a vacation for when we are free to roam.
Write a letter to let family and friends you are thinking of them.

Organize your pictures!
Seems like a daunting project, but maybe just take it one theme, day or event a time.  Get your memories out of the boxes or heaven forbid those old unarchival albums.  Scrapbook (yourself or online) or repackage.  Or maybe you have some blank walls that could use some perking up.  There are plenty of online places that will create prints for you in various styles and sizes.  If the kids are home, have them help. Or better yet, relive the memories with them especially the times before they were born.
Make your happy memories apart of your daily life!
