Ludovico Einaudi Dubai opera
If you have not listened to the music of Ludovico Einaudi, it is probably because you do not know that it is the music of Ludovico Einaudi. For years, his silent piano music has secretly been used as soundtracks in both television and commercial programs, penetrating our collective consciousness. At the same time, the Italian has remained kindly in the spotlight. Read up on Einaudi, and it might sound less like a composer than a series of psychotropic statistics, each of which confesses a touch far above most of your classmates.
Just consider the following: he is the most transmitted classical artist in the world; he has 400,000 subscribers on Spotify, recently occupied the top 10 places on the iTunes classic list only, which is more than Beethoven. His openly declared fans include Ricky Gervais, Nicki Minaj, Iggy Pop, pianist Lang Lang, and who else? - Stoke City forward Jonathan Walters says he listens to Einaudi always before entering the pitch.
He recently released a new album, Elements (and many have, it recently hit number 12 on the UK charts, higher than any classical music composer than it has reached in two decades.
Maybe it's the soundtrack to This Is England, or in an X-Factor montage, or to endorse any advertisement for British Airways or Guinness or Santander. His music was performed live from the Royal Albert Hall to the Fabric nightclub, and Mogwai and Starkey remixed it. The most surprising, perhaps, is that at 60, he managed to infiltrate the playlist of BBC Radio 1 obsessed with young people: not only Einaudi was defended by DJ Greg James (who cited his meditative song I Days as a vital aid to study during his college days), but he was invited to perform in a Live Lounge session, turning Sam Smith and Elastic Heart of Sia into an environmental potpourri.
It may seem incredible that a man who looks elegant, and who sings discreet piano music has captured such a young audience until you see the reactions that inspire the flesh. Bright, emotional, effortless, and always extremely refined lyrics: it is music and performance that define Ludovico Einaudi.
After releasing albums on the charts, Seven Days Walking is the title of his new album, which was released three and a half years after Elements and a triumphant world tour.
With a series of shows sold in the most prestigious concert halls in the world and a composer of many award-winning films, we are delighted that Ludovico Einaudi will be coming to Dubai.
Tickets will go on sale today at 3:00 p.m., with an offer of 20% in advance in the VIP and Platinum seating categories until November 10 Tickets are available for purchase. Click here to proceed.
