Leonetta being friends is the most awkward and hilarious plot in the series
They are being like "Yeah friend, we're friends forever. That's the best for us right best friend 😃...btw I wanna make out with you against the wall but that's okay right friend?"

Leon telling Diego that he's the only one that could ruin the Madrid trip for Violetta is so prophetic and we love to see him be right about men in Violetta's life (e.g., he clocked Tomas out perfectly early in s1 and he was right about Clement later too)

Violetta S01E36 - S01E80
I have to admit that the rest of the season was all over the place. It felt like a lot more things happened, which is kind of a pattern when it comes to these shows, I believe. It was like drama after drama. It was a good few episodes, though, but I probably enjoyed the first part of it a bit better.
Now let's talk about the characters.
Violetta: I have to say she was a bit more bearable and likable in the first part of the season.
I can't really blame her for lying to her dad about everything. I know lying is bad, but this was the only way she could've sung and followed her dreams. And to be honest, I was really happy when she stood up for herself. And she was right that what she did wasn't even as bad as her father's actions.
The biggest problem I had with her was the way she acted when it came to her love life. So she confessed to Tomas that she still has feelings for him, and while being with Leon, when he asked her about this, she said that the only thing she is sure of is that she wants to be with Leon. This already came off a bit weird, since if you have feelings for two people, you can't be sure who you want to be with. Then she got so angry when Tomas denied being with Ludmila, which was a bit annoying. Like girl, if you are so sure about Leon, then move on and leave him alone. She was so wrong when she dressed up as Ludmila, to just prove a point. I don't really understand what she wanted to achieve with that. I think Leon was right when he broke up with her for that. Then she tried getting back together with him because she was missing him and told him again that she is sure that she wants to be with him, and we all know it's not true. This bothered me so much. I know Leon isn't perfect as well and that he made mistakes, but the way Violetta played with him is crazy. She kept telling him she wanted to be with him, but she also knew it's a lie, and he believed her. She should've thought about her feelings and decided whom she wanted before she said things like this to anybody. And she obviously couldn't stay away from Tomas after them getting back together, and the almost kiss happened. I was really happy that León finally stood up for himself and that Violetta kind of owned up to her mistake. Then they broke up, but Vilu obviously started missing him while still having feelings for Tomas. And she was found in a weird situation with Tomas several times. Like, I get that they tried to be friends, or wanted to try to be, or who knows what they wanted, but it clearly didn't work, and Violetta, rather than trying to prove that she is over Tomas (even though she clearly isn't), she just spends time with Tomas and does things that are a bit questionable, especially when you are saying you miss your ex so much and want to get together with them again. I also didn't like how she got upset and felt hurt by Leon not trusting her when it came to those notes. It kind of made me a bit angry since he had every right and reason to not believe her when she was lying to him so much.
I felt bad for her, though, when Fran got so nasty with her. Like, I get that she likes Tomas, and I agree that Violetta and her gridlock were really annoying, but it's not Violetta's fault that Tomas still likes her. And him being over Violetta wouldn't instantly mean that he would've liked her.
It was also annoying that everybody was into her. Broduey, Fede. Don't even mention Tomas, Leon, and Braco. I understand that she is the main character, but it's funny how everybody is so in love with her after, like, spending 2 minutes with her.
All in all, I liked her in the first season, and I'm glad she stood up for herself several times, but this whole love triangle thing was really annoying, especially the way she played with Tomas's and Leon's feelings.
Leon: I think I liked him a bit better in the second part of the first season. As I said before, he was a bit too much in the first part, and he was such a pushover.
I was really happy that he finally stood up for himself, and finally had some boundaries with Violetta. I think it was really necessary to call Violetta out for what she was doing. I really loved and respected his decision that he didn't just get together with Violetta after their second breakup. I fully understand why he couldn't believe and trust her anymore.
I didn't like his outburst of jealousy, though, but I think he was really traumatized due to the Tomas situation and can't fully trust Vilu, which I understand, but still, sometimes he was a bit too much.
All in all, I liked him in the second part, and I loved his character growth.
Tomas: He was less bearable in the second part of the first season, I have to admit. He was really mean to people, then he was kind of okay again.
I didn't really like how he treated Violetta. I mean, I get that he was sad because she was with someone, but he was the one who didn't want to stay together because he was about to move back to Spain. Violetta even begged him, but he didn't care. So being mean to her for something he caused is a really low blow.
He was also really mean to Fran. That comment of his when she tried to help him out with Vilu was really unnecessary. I also didn't understand why he got together with her when he was clearly still in love with Vilu.
I also didn't understand why he trusted Ludmila. Like, he knew about several occasions when she manipulated and lied to him. Why would you want to be with someone like her? Why would you believe and trust in someone like her?
I think it was also not cool how he tried to kiss Vilu and get closer to her while she was still with Leon. But, obviously, Violetta was just as much the bad guy in the situation.
All in all I think I liked him in the first part of the season much more.
Ludmila: She didn't get better in the second part of the first season. She continued her little schemes. She was probably more eager in this one, especially when it came to Tomas.
However, what Tomas did wasn't right either; he shouldn't have gotten together with her as well, that's for sure, considering he still had feelings for Violetta. I'm not saying Ludmila was a saint, but she had every right to be mad at Violetta for still lurking around Tomas and doing questionable things. Having said that, she should've been just as mad at Tomas as she was at Violetta, because everything took two people. I liked seeing her more sensitive side in the last couple of episodes, but just like in Soy Luna, these never last forever in the first two seasons, but in the last one.
All in all, I still think she was still doing too much. She hates Violetta but doesn't get mad at Tomas for the very same reasons. She treated Naty so badly and made her fall, which caused her a broken leg, and the fact that Violetta almost missed the competition because of her was also too much. Don't even mention the whole Angie thing. I was truly amazed why she was still in that school and why they didn't actually fire her. But I guess in this season her actions weren't even that bad considering what she's going to do in the next season.
Angie: I still like her. I didn't always enjoy how she encouraged Violetta to lie, but considering what happened after German found out the truth, we could all see what she was talking about.
This falling for my deceased sister's ex-husband thing is still weird for me. I get that it's been several years, but I don't know. But I have to admit that I find them cute together, and I think Angie was a good influence.
Herman: He was also too much in the second part. I always despised him for this whole Jade thing.
She wasn't the best as well in the later episodes, which I'm going to talk about later, but he was playing with her feelings as well. He never really loved her, at least not how he loved Angie, and rather than making a final decision, he kept going back to her for who knows what reason. And while I didn't really like Jade in the second part of the first season, I felt bad for her when German just left her at the altar. He didn't really handle this situation well.
I also didn't like how he handled the Violetta situation. I get that he was mad at her for lying about everything; I agree that lying is never a good solution, but he shouldn't have tried to compare Violetta's lie to his. Violetta lied about the studio, and that was it (she didn't know who Angie was up until the very last few episodes), while he was lying about her mother's side of the family and hid her stuff from her, and he didn't do that for only a few months, but for, like, what, 15 years, I think? And I wouldn't really say he had a good reason to do so.
All in all, I think he was worse in the second part, but I was really happy with how he came around in the end (a very unlikely outcome, though), but I think he was really unreasonable at times.
I really liked Jade in the first half of the first season because she was really funny, and she actually tried to get a bit closer to Violetta. I understand that she kind of got tired of that and that she got angry at her for ruining her engagement party, but she was straight-up evil in the second part. I didn't really like seeing that side of her.
The others were fine. Fede was a bit annoying at the very beginning, but later he got better. The whole Umix thing was fine; it made things more interesting for sure.
All in all, it was a good season. I liked the first half a bit better, and I kind of didn't like how everything happened at once in the very last few episodes, but that's the pattern. So yeah, it was a good season; I'd rate it 7/10.

here are some unwarranted soy luna/violetta opinions!! (unpopular sorta)
-i find its very hard to like lutteo (mainly matteo in general but i digress)
mainly because them being tgthr lowkey makes zero sense when u realize they fight 98.9% of the time like i understand enemies to lovers since it’s my fav trope but when watching them feels like just enemies LOLLL when the show ended all i could think about was how they prob started arguing again right when the episode ended
-the tini movie triggered me sooo bad
ok so basically imo even tho they ended up tghtr again, it was so unnecessary. every season they were off and on and when they were endgame and finally happy they drop a movie about how they brek up again?? WHY ARE WE ADDING ANOTHER LOVE INTEREST AGAIN LIKE WE ALL KNOW SHE ENDS UP WITH LEON SO THROWING IN ANOTHER INTEREST DOES NOTHING FOR US (benecio being there is another reason i can’t stand this movie)
-tomas triggered me
so i don’t think this is unpopular tbh BUT he always has and always will trigger me with his existence because i’ve always supported my mexican king 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
-we needed more simbar and less lutteo arguing over the stupidest things
again not unpopular imo but honestly the side ship mogging the main ship will always EAT (klaroline soloing delena but that’s a convo for another conversation…) because why do these sides relationships always have more appeal and drive to them?? maybe because it’s an opposites attract thing?? who knows all i know is that they solo

I watched an interview with Jorge where he said he was supposed to be only in the first season of Violetta as a side character. And I just can't imagine what would've happened if Pablo didn't leave...I just can't imagine the show without Leon there wow
#also jorge is the only Violetta actor who got the role without a casting#they just called him and told him they want him as Leon#violetta#leon vargas#jorge blanco
