The Throne Room
Helloooooo. Ready for pain? No? Too bad. I like to talk about how much I love Aelyn and Logan's sibling dynamics after they reunited after the revolution and the Crawler, but things weren't all good. The infamous throne room incident really shook Aelyn. It made her realize that Logan had changed. It broke her for a while. So I have written my own little version of what happened that day and how it really affected both Aelyn and Logan. So enjoy :DD And don't be afraid to leave notes cause I love reading those to hell and back.
“Come on, let’s see what you can do!”
Walter stood across the room with his sword drawn, in a defensive position. Aelyn got into her own position, her legs ready to move. They began circling each other and Aelyn waited for an opening. She charged bringing her sword over her head and bringing it down. Walter deftly blocked her blade and stepped back. She lunged forward and he knocked the blade out of her hand. The old man chuckled.
“When you fight, you’re too focused on landing a hit, not actually planning.” Walter picked up her sword and then handed it back to her. Aelyn huffed and they reset their positions. This time, Aelyn was on the defensive as Walter charged forward. He feinted left and then swiped his sword to Aelyn’s right. She managed to block his sword and push back. She used the force to counterattack.
They went on, back and forth, back and forth, neither of them getting ahead of each other. Until Aelyn picked up on Walter’s tactics and faked him out. Then she swung and when Walter tried to block her attack, the sound of snapping metal rang throughout the room. Aelyn took a deep breath and looked at Walter. He was smiling and held up his broken blade.
“Ha ha! You went and broke it!” He looked at Aelyn and her heart warmed at the look of praise in his eyes. “Am I a great teacher or what?” Aelyn chuckled and stood up, looking at the blade.
“I really did that huh,” she whispered to herself.
“You’re becoming just like your mother,” Walter praised, putting a hand on her shoulder. Aelyn smiled brightly at that and hugged Walter.
The doors slammed open and Elliot ran in the training room. “Walter! Aelyn! Both of you come quick!” He was panting. “There’s a demonstration outside!” Walter looked down at Aelyn and sighed.
“I have something to tell you, but it can wait later.” Aelyn raised an eyebrow, but followed after him regardless.
Elliot led them back to the main foyer and looked out of the window. “I’ve never seen so many people before!” Aelyn’s eyes widened at all of the people outside with signs. A lot of the signs had Logan’s face on them with the words ‘die’ underneath.
Fear and confusion hit her first. She knew the people weren’t happy with Logan lately. She hadn’t really seen her brother a lot ever since he returned from his expedition about four years ago. She had seen him in passing, but he never had the time to actually sit down and talk to her. It had made her sad since they would do it all the time when they were kids.
“Balls. I knew this would happen,” Walter cursed. “It’s been a while since Logan has listened to me, but I need to talk to him regardless.” Walter looked at Elliot and Aelyn. “Stay here.” He put a hand on Aelyn’s shoulder. When she looked at him, she knew something bad was on his mind. Something worse than this demonstration. “There is still something you and I need to talk about.” Then he left.
Aelyn looked back at the people, fear and concern filling her up. What was happening? She didn’t leave the castle too much, but she knew there were a lot of unhappy people. For what reason, she could never figure out. Whenever she tried to talk to Logan about it, he brushed her off, claiming to be too busy.
Maybe it was time to actually force a talk out of him.
“This is bad,” Elliot’s voice pulled Aelyn from her thoughts. “We have to do something.” He looked towards the grand staircase where Walter was heading. “We should follow Walter. Figure out what Logan is doing.”
Aelyn nodded and chased after Walter. Logan had been brushing her off too much lately. When he was first crowned as king, Logan tried to make some time for young Aelyn who was only twelve at the time. He even took her adventuring with him, despite Walter’s protests against taking a young child out into the wild. But then Logan left for Aurora and everything changed.
Logan came back, more distant than usual. Whenever he looked at Aelyn, she only saw fear in his eyes. She had heard rumors that he had been the only one out of his whole expedition to come back alive. She tried to talk to him, but he continuously pushed her away. Something was wrong. She had noticed the change not just in him, but in the people. Whenever she left the castle with Jasper or Walter she noticed how the people looked at her in slight disgust.
Now it was time for answers.
Elliot and Aelyn had reached the door that led to the war room where they were sure Logan and Walter were. Elliot motioned Aelyn over to the door and they peered through the keyholes.
Two of Logan’s personal guards stood on either side of Walter who was pleading to Logan. “Think about what you’re doing!”
“I am protecting the interests of the people,” Logan hissed, silencing Walter. Then he looked at one of the guards. “Shoot to kill. Start with the ringleaders and if necessary, continue with the crowd.” Aelyn’s eyes widened. Kill?! All those people? But why?
“This is wrong! You can’t do this!” Walter tried to reason. The other guard took the butt of his gun and knocked Walter to his knees.
“Don’t tell me what I can’t do,” Logan growled. Who was this man? Aelyn’s heart froze. This wasn’t the Logan she knew. Why would he kill all of those people? Why was he treating Walter like this?
“We can’t let him do this,” Elliot whispered, fear written across his face. “You have to do something. You’re his sister. He’ll listen to you!” Aelyn wasn’t so sure anymore. Maybe a long time ago he would, but this man...Logan had changed. Something was wrong.
She took a deep breath and opened the door. Logan turned around, surprise in his eyes. “What are you doing here?” he looked at his sister and Elliot in anger. “The war room is no place for a child.”
Aelyn scowled. “What do you think you’re doing, trying to kill your own people?” she cried out, anger and confusion causing her voice to shake and tremble.
“Aelyn, no,” Walter cautioned.
“Silence,” Logan cut Walter off then turned back to his sister. “Are you really questioning my decision?”
Aelyn looked in her brother’s eyes. She didn’t see the fear she saw a lot. Instead, she saw nothing. He was hiding his true feelings. Hiding himself from her. He really had changed. “Yes. Yes I am. When it comes to killing innocent people, yes I question what the hell you’re doing. Why are you doing this?!” Aelyn was confused, hurt, and felt betrayed almost. The man she was looking at right now was not her brother. Not the kind and compassionate man she always looked up to.
“So, you believe you should be making these decisions?” Logan countered. They glared at each other for a moment before signaling to his guards. “If you wish to defend these traitors, then so be it. Take my sister and her friend to the throne room.”
The guards grabbed her and Elliot. She tried to fight against their vice grip, but they just dragged her away. As they got to the stairs leading to the throne room, the guard finally let her and Elliot go, but walked closely behind him. “What do you think he’s going to do?” Elliot gulped.
“I have no idea,” Aelyn whispered, looking down. What was going on?
The doors to the throne room opened and they stood there for a moment. “Move,” one of the guards commanded, pushing Elliot to the ground. Aelyn swatted at the guards.
“Leave him alone you arseholes!” Aelyn helped Elliot up and held his hand as they walked into the room. Logan was sitting on the throne, Walter standing next to him, worry in his eyes. A couple of the people from outside were huddled together, guards surrounding them.
“Here come the saviors of the people,” Logan announced, his voice deep and dark. “Step closer, sister.” Elliot’s hand slipped out of hers as she stepped forward. “Today you have disappointed me beyond measure. I have been betrayed by my own blood.” The words stung more than they ever should have. It felt like he just pulled out a gun and shot her right then and there. But how dare he have the nerve?
“Betrayed you?” Aelyn snapped. “Says the man who ups and disappears and stops talking to his little sister and then you do this! I feel like I’m the one who’s been betrayed.”
“Very well then. It is time to stop treating you like a child then.” Logan stood up and walked down the dais. “You wish to save the traitors that gathered outside this morning, very well you will have your chance.” She looked to her right and could see four people huddled together, fear in their eyes. They were shaking and trembling. How could these people be traitors? What did they do wrong? “These are the leaders of the violent mob. I will give you a choice. Who will be punished. These strangers, or this...boy.” He looked at Elliot with disgust. “The sentence will be death.”
Death?! Aelyn stepped back a little, looking at her brother in fear. “W-what do you mean death?!”
“They will die. Now choose. You are the princess. Decide.”
“No! This isn’t right, Logan!” Aelyn stepped back in horror. “We don’t have to do this. We can talk about this. Please Logan just talk to me!” Tears started to form in her eyes. She didn’t want to make a choice. No this was wrong.
“You want to save the lives of these traitors? Then you must make a sacrifice. This is what it takes to rule,” Logan hissed.
“No, no, I won’t do this!” Aelyn insisted.
“If you cannot decide, then I will. They will all die.” He was serious. The glare in his eyes told her everything. She stepped away from him again. She couldn’t. No.
“Aelyn, if you have to make a choice, then please choose me,” Elliot piped up, dragging her attention away from her brother. “Those people did nothing wrong. One life for many? It’s the only way.”
Logan clicked his tongue, noting that Elliot had a point. “No, I am not going to do this! Logan please, why can’t you just speak to me instead? What has gotten into you?!” Aelyn pleaded.
“This is a lesson. It’s time you grew up. You are almost an adult. I am no longer sugar-coating anything for you. If you cannot decide, then allow me to assist you. I will give you until the count of five.” Logan put a hand on her shoulder. “I am giving you the choice between life and death. Now decide.” He stepped away back to the dais awaiting Aelyn’s choice.
She was on the spot. The protesters were still huddled together and sobbing. Elliot was pleading with her. “Please, choose me.”
“Five,” Logan’s voice cut through the tension in the air.
Aelyn’s heart was racing. Tears started to roll down her cheeks. She wanted to collapse on her knees and cry. She hoped that if she did, Logan would snap out of whatever spell he was under and rush over to her, gather her in his arms and tell her everything was going to be okay.
“Four.”
She realized that wasn’t going to happen. Logan wasn’t backing down. What had happened to him? What had happened to her brother? Her sweet, loving, and caring brother?
“Three.”
If she chose Elliot, she would lose her closest friend and partner. Elliot has been there for her when Logan had become distant and Walter was too busy to replace him. Logan was right, these protesters were strangers to her. But how could she commend so many to death?
“Two.”
“Aelyn, please! Choose me! These people shouldn’t die!” Elliot pleaded.
“One.”
Aelyn shook her head. “Logan please no!” she cried out, tears now falling fully.
He shook his head. “You disappoint me, Aelyn. I did not think you would be so indecisive.” The disappointment in his eyes pierced her heart. “Take them all away. Kill them now.”
The protesters cried out as the guards started to push them away. “Aelyn no! You can’t let him do this,” Elliot begged as the guards pulled him away. She watched as everyone was dragged away, their lives cut short because she couldn’t decide. She couldn’t make a choice.
Because Logan had become a monster.
Aelyn turned back around and punched him in the chest. The blow did nothing but make him stagger a little. “Why...” she sobbed. Logan looked down at her and for a second, she thought she could see him, her brother again. “Why would you do this...”
Logan looked away. “Escort my sister back to her chambers,” he said, stepping away from her. He couldn’t even look her in the face anymore. Aelyn let the guards pull her away from her brother, away from the throne room. Away from this hellish nightmare. Her legs were weak, she could barely walk.
“Your Majesty, it’s done.”
When she got back into her room and the guards shut the door and left her alone, Aelyn collapsed onto her bed. She covered herself with her blankets and curled up. Her dog climbed up onto the bed and snuggled with her, offering what little comfort she could take. Her pillow was soaked with tears by the time Walter had come back and got her ready to leave the castle.
àŒșđŸŒŒàŒ»
Logan looked up at the guard. “They’re all dead?”
“Yes sir, the boy and the mob leaders.”
Logan sighed. “Good.” Then he waved his hand, dismissing the guard. Logan stared into the fireplace, sinking further into his chair. Aelyn’s cries echoed in his mind, the tears running down her face scarring his vision. What the hell did he do? He rubbed his head, his eyes started to sting. He could feel the tears forming. If only he could tell her why he was doing this. All he wanted to do was to protect her, keep her safe.
Aelyn was almost eighteen. She needed to grow up. This was the harshest way Logan could make her see what it was like. The choices he had to make.
“I’m sorry Aelyn. I’m sorry Mom,” he began crying. His mother always taught him to be there for Aelyn. To protect her. To help her. He had just failed his mother and Aelyn today. He shouldn’t have been so distant with her after he came back from Aurora. But how could he stay close to her when all he saw was her bloodied corpse on the ground, the darkness wrapping around her and tearing her apart, her screams echoing in his head. Everything he was doing was for her and Albion.
He wiped the tears away and stood up. He moved to the window and opened it, in an attempt to get fresh air. The cold wind blew against his face along with rain. It was a nice feeling compared to the warm tears. Then he saw movement in the gardens. He squinted his eyes and then they widened when he recognized Walter, Jasper, and Aelyn. She had her arms crossed and was looking at the ground as Walter guided her to the catacombs.
They were leaving the castle. Good. “Please take care of her Walter,” Logan whispered. “Avo knows I failed her.” Logan shut the windows and turned away.
He hoped Aelyn would come back stronger and become a better person than him.
“I love you, little sister.”

Donald Trump Has More Fans That You Might Think
The polls show Donald Trump losing to Joe Biden by a wide margin, and yet the president seems to have more support than many might think. And I’m not just talking about Americans afraid of being “cancelled” if they express a politically incorrect opinion such as support for Trump—although a recent poll by the Cato Institute did reveal that 62 percent of Americans are now fearful of publicly expressing their opinions.
Indeed, Trump might have some fans that do a really good job of hiding their affection for him. I’m talking, of course, about Antifa, the folks smashing up cities, most notably, Portland and Seattle. They could yet prove to be Trump’s most potent supporters.
A ridiculous assertion? Well, consider the words of Democratic stalwart Lanny Davis, tweeting on July 27: “Violent protesters lighting fires and using violence in Portland should wear @realDonaldTrump buttons. That is who they are helping. Progressives in Portland need to call them out, including the Mayor. ReTweet please. Don’t allow violent people help @realDonaldTrump.”
Back on June 4, here at TAC, this author made precisely that argument: that Antifa wanted to Trump to win a second term, following the revolutionary Leninist dictum of “the worse the better.” That is, Trump is the figure that Antifa wants in power, because in its view, the incumbent heightens the contradictions of capitalism, white supremacy, and cis-patriarchy.
By contrast, Biden is the sort of consensus-minded figure that could reduce the general level of societal anger—and that, of course, would be bad news for Antifa.
Indeed, in the preferred scenario of partisan and pragmatic Democrats such as Lanny Davis, a President Biden would accommodate enough of the left’s agenda, so that most leftists would be happy, thereby isolating Antifa on the fringe. As a result, Biden would preside happily over the center-left.
To be sure, Republicans say that Biden as the 46th president would cave in to Antifa craziness; and yet that wasn’t the story of his presidential campaign, in which he took on the left, albeit in muted terms—but then, the future is always unknowable.
Yet in the meantime, an emerging fear of Democrats—joined, now, by many ex-Republicans supporting Biden—is that Antifa’s antics will keep Biden from getting elected.
For instance, here’s Steve Schmidt, who has traversed from supporting John McCain to supporting Howard Schultz (remember his short-lived independent presidential campaign?) to now supporting Biden: “This violence is a criminal act and destroys the moral legitimacy of the important messages that peaceful protesters are in the street for. It desecrates the memory and affronts the grave of the late American Hero John Lewis and it helps Trump.”
Schmidt’s denunciation led sly pundit Mickey Kaus to ask about the street-fighting, “If these guys can no longer pretend it’s not happening . . . Has Schmidt maybe seen some polling on the violence?”
Indeed, there’s some evidence that Antifa is driving a wedge inside the Democratic coalition—and that wedging could hurt Biden’s chances. For instance, in a report on the ongoing of violence in Seattle, CBS News reported the reaction of one victim: “Daryl Breaux, whose car was seriously damaged in the melee, said those using the demonstrations as cover for mayhem are drowning out the positive meaning of the protests. ‘Almost 45 years I’ve been Black. This is what Black Lives Matter does? I’m not with it.’”
In fact, the split between mostly white Antifa types and blacks and others angry at the police—but who are not seeking a new Bolshevik revolution—seems to be widening. Here’s Naveed Jamali, an avowed progressive: “I’m a POC who lives in Seattle and has been covering these protests. They have less and less to do with George Floyd or #BlackLivesMatter. It’s a shame, but this movement for equality has been hijacked.”
Indeed, E.D. MondainĂ©, president of the Portland branch of the NAACP, headlined his op-ed in The Washington Post, “Portland’s protests were supposed to be about black lives. Now, they’re white spectacle.” As MondainĂ© put it, “As the demonstrations continue every night in Portland, many people with their own agendas are co-opting, and distracting attention from, what should be our central concern: the Black Lives Matter movement.” Asking, “What are antifa and other leftist agitators achieving for the cause of black equality?” MondainĂ© had a blunt answer: nothing.
As of now, it’s hard to show that this division is actually costing Biden votes, but plenty of Biden supporters are worried—after all, it’s still more than three months till Election Day. MSNBC host Joe Scarborough, who, way back when, won four elections as a Republican Congressman, recently tweeted, “How does breaking windows at a courthouse, setting fire to a federal building, firing guns in crowds, and committing acts of vandalism forward any cause?” Scarborough is referring, of course, to liberal and progressive causes; he’s choosing to ignore Antifa’s cause.
Of course, for its part, as its hazy agenda would indicate, Antifa has its own ideas. After all, if its goal is active and demonstrative “self-defense” against the imagined threats of fascism and Nazism, then it’s not so easy to corral it within the Democratic Party, or even within the norms of the democratic process.
Yet in the meantime, of course, Trump is eager to conflate Biden, the Democrats, and Antifa. The president has said, in fact, that Biden will be a “puppet” of the radical left,” and so, if he wins, “nobody will be safe.” If Trump could truly make that charge stick, he would, in fact, likely win the election.
Indeed, Trump is always upping the ante. Just on July 27, he tweeted, “Anarchists, Agitators or Protestors who vandalize or damage our Federal Courthouse in Portland, or any Federal Buildings in any of our Cities or States, will be prosecuted under our recently re-enacted Statues & Monuments Act. MINIMUM TEN YEARS IN PRISON.”
Here, Trump is referring not to an act of Congress, but rather to a June 26 Executive Order, parts of which read like a campaign speech, viz:
Anarchists and left-wing extremists have sought to advance a fringe ideology that paints the United States of America as fundamentally unjust and have sought to impose that ideology on Americans through violence and mob intimidation. They have led riots in the streets, burned police vehicles, killed and assaulted government officers as well as business owners defending their property, and even seized an area within one city where law and order gave way to anarchy. During the unrest, innocent citizens also have been harmed and killed.
So it would seem that candidate Biden needs to distance himself from Antifa. That is, he needs a “Sister Souljah” moment, recalling the time during the 1992 presidential campaign when Bill Clinton used a majorly symbolic speech venue—appearing before Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Coalition—to separate himself from a black rapper who had called for killing white people. That November, Clinton won the election in a landslide.
Applying the Sister Souljah dynamic to today, Biden would condemn Antifa, making it clear that, during his presidency, maniacal violence would not be tolerated. Were Biden to do so in a loud and steady voice, he would greatly reassure Middle America—to say nothing of easing the angst of prominent supporters Davis, Schmidt, and Scarborough.
Yet here’s the thing: Biden hasn’t done that yet. Maybe he will, but he hasn’t yet. Yes, on July 28, Biden denounced “arsonists and anarchists,” while mostly, of course, attacking Trump. Thus he has yet to make a full-throated denunciation of Antifa by name, making it plain that under his presidential leadership, the violence would be stopped.
So what’s the holdup? What’s the blockage? Why isn’t Biden going full Sister Souljah on Antifa?
The answer could have something to do with the changing nature of the Democratic Party. Back in 1992, when Clinton Sister Souljah-ed Sister Souljah, the party still had much of its traditional Dixie orientation, including presidential campaign buttons boasting the Confederate stars and bars. Indeed, in 1994, President Clinton signed Joe Biden’s tough anti-crime bill, and in 1996, Clinton signed right-wing welfare reform legislation, which Biden voted for. As we can gather, for the Democratic Party of the Clinton era, slamming Antifa would have been a no-brainer.
Yet a quarter-century later, the party has changed. In July 2018, in the wake of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s upset victory in a New York Democratic primary, this author speculated that AOC, as she’s now universally known, would push the Democrats to the hard left. In addition, last year, this author also noted the “McGovernization” of the Democratic Party, referring back to an earlier lurch to the left. Indeed, earlier this month, I wondered aloud whether the Democrats would be able to separate themselves from their “summer of love.”
So maybe that’s why Biden is so quiet. Nobody thinks that he himself supports Antifa, but maybe his strategists think that he must walk a fine line, such that he doesn’t seem to tolerating violence and yet, at the same time, doesn’t seem to be siding with Trump. Great politicians walk fine lines for a living—so now we’ll have to see about Biden.
Because in the meantime, the violence rages, not just in Portland and Seattle, but in just about every big city in the country. And if the violence continues, the words of Elon Musk, a man of indeterminate political views, will seem all the more true: “The left is losing the middle.”
Of course, if the left loses the middle, if more chaos ensues, and if Trump gets re-elected, that’s just fine with Antifa.

Red Dawn: The audio series. Casting for Episode 1. Male/Female needed.
Project: Red Dawn: The audio series. A modern retelling of the 1984 film. This version is much different and based in the near future. This is an unpaid project which will be available as free digital downloads. Roles Needed: I will be needing British voices as well as American. If you can also fake a Russian accent, you'd be welcome. Auditions are for the following characters: Jen Matt Robert Mr. Eckert Mr. Morris Mr. Teasdale All are open. Deadline for auditions is June 15th. Send them to: [email protected] I'll just explain the story as it is now. In the near future, Europe is in absolute chaos due to incompetent, traitorous leadership that has flooded the continent with third world migrants and refugees. Native born Europeans are being bled dry by the lavish welfare being paid to foreigners. They are being displaced, both by the influx and by force of governments. Crimes of all kinds are out of control and those in charge all but tap the wrists of those responsible while severely punishing their own citizens for even speaking out about the chaos. Rape, murder and bombings are an every day occurrence. Russia, having enacted a zero migrant settlement policy, does not suffer these problems. As the continent sinks into hell, the people cry out for salvation from their own mistakes. America refuses to help. President Trump, in his second term, tells the Europeans "twice in a century was enough" and that they made their own mess and have to clean it up themselves. Enraged, and desperate, Europe turns to Russia. Russia proposes a united Europe unlike the EU. They would become one nation, stronger together. The movement rapidly grows. Within a year Migrants have self deported themselves or been forced out. China, having suffered political problems of its own, asks the new European nation for help. Shortly thereafter, China becomes an ally of the European nation. It's ties with America had degraded for some time as their economy faltered, and the American economy recovered. Japan also joins forces with the new nation after Russia, using new technology, were able to finally eradicate the radiation caused by Fukushima. The Japanese people were eager to return the favor to their new friends. The North Korean regime collapses after violent uprisings topple the dictatorship. America pulls out of south Korea as the two enemies unite as one Korea, but become strong allies of America as they are wary of the new European nation and it's intentions. Mexico has severed all but diplomatic ties to America since the construction of the border wall that separated the nations, and Mexico suffered terribly when the flow of US currency stopped from illegal immigrants sending money to Mexico. The US media, despite it's long questionable ability to tell the truth, calls the situation in Europe "Red Dawn" as the new nation adopts a flag all to reminiscent of the soviet union. This flag has not the hammer and sickle, but the Russian AK47 and medieval sword. Canada remains neutral, dealing with it's own problems thanks to Trudeau's equally damaging immigration policy which imported millions of middle Easterners. Sentiment among Canadians, who also have been bearing long term financial burdens of welfare to foreigners and massive increases in crimes committed by migrants, have become hostile towards their own government. Revolution in Canada seems inevitable. Still, their relationship with America is the strongest of any of America's allies besides Korea. On a hot summer day in July, an American aircraft carrier is destroyed in the Persian gulf. Iran is immediately blamed by US media even before any claim of responsibility is made. Within hours the united states declares all out war. A massive military effort is launched, but what no one knows is that the true culprits of the attack were counting on such a massive US military response. Nato dissolves. America now stands alone. September. On a cool early fall morning a computer virus that had quietly spread all over the internet is activated. Every computer system in the united states that had access to the internet was locked out and disabled. Within hours the entire country was disabled. Computers and smart phones were useless. Television networks shut down. Banks were incapable of functioning. Grocery stores couldn't process anything but cash. The American public, dependent on their devices, have no idea what's about to happen. It's dawn in America. Set in Calumet, Colorado and described as a place identical to Ober Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Red Dawn tells the story of young, unexceptional American kids who must put their old lives of updating facebook and tweeting selfies of themselves away and pick up a weapon to fight for their homes and families. This series is meant to be an audio based retelling of the story, only very different. It does not in any way resemble that horrible remake. This is also meant to be a project like Alien: out of the shadows which was an audio movie type of production. Characters: Jen "Jennifer" Eckert. Late teens, pretty blonde girl next door cheerleader type. Jen works, or rather worked a job at an amusement park owned by "some old celebrity" practically no one her age has even heard of. Like any girl her age, she'd rather be doing something else. With work cancelled, and seemingly nothing to do till the computers work again, Jen thinks it'll just be a day off. But when the invasion begins, she'll find her day off to be only the start of a very, very long day. Jen becomes leader of the Wolverines by using her ability to remain calm and focused in combat situations. Her strength will see her scrappy band of freedom fighters cause unrelenting chaos to their enemy. Matt "Matty" Eckert. Younger than his sister, quarter back in high school type. Jen's Brother is not as cool headed as his sister, but his ability to charge into trouble will aid the wolverines to victory when defeat seems certain. A high school football champ, Matt will be at his sisters side for the fight and will find that all the differences they had before mean nothing now that they are the only blood family they have left. Jen and Matt's parents both die in the occupation. Their mother dies from lack of treatment for her Cancer. Their father is executed for being an Iraq war veteran, and deemed a potential terrorist threat. Their family farm and ranch is taken over by the occupiers, and Jen and Matt eventually burn it down themselves to deny the enemy a vital resource. Robert. Matt's friend. Robert is the son of of a general store owner. His father is executed for aiding terrorists by supplying the wolverines with guns and supplies. Robert is a merciless killer, going as far as to execute collaborators personally even if he knew them before the war. There are others, but these are most important for now. What's red dawn without some propaganda? I need two young males, one female, and three older sounding males for episode 1. As well as BRITISH voices. There are some Brit paratroopers who get creamed by Jen's truck. If you can do multiple roles and sound different I am all for that. You MUST have HQ audio, minimal to NO BACKGROUND NOISE. In other words, if it sounds like you recorded it on a phone in the middle of traffic, no thank you. I'd like authentic British voices for the British characters, but if you can fake it I'll take it. Audition lines: Jen: (Angry with her brother, arguing over a busted hose in her truck.)                           MATT              Thing's rusted to crap, Jen, didn't you ever               think about fixing it? No, Matty, I never thought about fixing it because I'm always riding around in my Ferrari. I only drive dad's old truck because I don't want my real car to get dirty. (Explaining why they have to stay in the mountains during the invasion.) We might be up here a while and you need to be prepared for that. The good news is our daddy brought us out here countless times growing up. We can hunt, fish, get water to keep us alive. Everything we need is here. We don't touch all the stuff we brought, we keep it for emergency use. We have to live off the land as much as we can until this is over and we can go home. Matt: It's the game of life. It's hard to play, and you're gonna lose it anyway.                           ROBERT              Your sister's hot you know. No, I don't know. And don't even think about her like that or I'll give you a worse ass kickin' than we got on the field last night. Come on, we're almost late for history class. Robert: Matt, she might think we can stay here but I can't. I'm not like you, I hate camping. Go to my fathers store just outside of town, drop me off there. (watching an attacking helicopter.) Be ours! Please, god, be ours! Feel free to send in any other demos, http://dlvr.it/PHW9lJ www.voiceacting.space

This is also meant to be a project like Alien: Isolation which was an audio movie type of production. Feel free to send in any other demos, http://dlvr.it/PGlcMs www.voiceacting.space
