This probably isn't a new headcanon or anything but I gotta share my thoughts.

In my mind, the reason why there are two different hero weapons in the Sanctuary is because one was supposed to go to each of Sparrow's children. The hammer for Logan, the sword for the HoBW, the pistol for Logan, the rifle for the HoBW.

They're living weapons that change with their users. You can't tell me Sparrow — the master blacksmith — didn't create them on their own.

The Sanctuary was meant for BOTH royal siblings. Sparrow couldn't have imagined what Theresa was going to do, pitting them against each other like she did for the "gReAtEr GoOd."

I also can't imagine Sparrow would ever refer to Theresa as their guide after she used them for decades to get control of the Spire. If Sparrow had known, I think they would have warned Logan and the HoBW not to trust anything the blind seer says.

And maybe it's my own bias but I can't imagine Sparrow leaving everything magical to their secondborn child. There's no way in hell Sparrow could have known only one of their children would have overt Hero abilities. Sparrow only manifested their powers in their 20s so when they died, they fully could have thought Logan would be capable of using magic and accessing the Sanctuary.

(And I refuse to believe Logan got NOTHING from his heroic bloodline, he just can't use Will abilities)

I don't know. It just feels to me that the HoBW was given the things meant for Logan but that might be projecting the fact that Logan was my Sparrow's favorite child lmao

Like yes Albion needed a fully manifested Hero leading the fight but if/when destiny called on their children (aka Theresa being manipulative again) I can't see Sparrow expecting them to fight in any way other than together.

So they were each left a weapon and a wish from a parent who adores them both that when the hell comes knocking at their door they would face it together. Sparrow took every horror on alone. They would never wish that on their children.

tldr: I headcanon that Sparrow made the hero weapons themselves expecting both Logan and the Hero to work together and make use of them. They weren't able to because Theresa meddled and their children were manipulated the same way they were

okay I tried to post this with like the longest caption known to man explaining what's going on in this painting but it deleted itself so I think that was my sign to stop yapping. this is my hero of brightwall caspian, I've posted her before, every time I think about her for too long she gets worse. she's like the worst ever. but this drawing is in her brief normal girl era where she stops being an asshole to the kingdom and the people around her. significance of the background is that reaver is her father (I KNOWWW 😭) and the gazebo thing in the middle of bower lake is where she got married. ALSO she dies one year after this down by the lake. the picnic over to the side is a lot to explain but it has to do with her weird situationship with a priest if anyone's interested I'll post more about that it's kinda crazy

I think its so interesting that when you execute Logan its done without a crowd. The hero of brightwalls not even there, its him ad the firing squad. The people surely would want to see it, theoretically hobw as king should be there to oversee l, hell I'd think at least ben would want to be there after what happened with Swifts execution.

But instead, logans taken out seemingly early morning or late at night, with no one watching, and hes shot so his body hits the dirt as opposed to the steps, and hes all alone.

No one even cares enough to see him off. His sibling condemns him to death and can't be bothered to see it through.

The top 2 are from a series of portraits I want to do for some of my Fable characters, and the other is for an original project I’m working on (which I cant show everything for that, but I have a lot of art dedicated to it so far. I think I finally have a name for it though so I’ll start tagging it as such)

What did they do? Aelyn blew up Reaver’s mansion probably. Property damage, arson, the likes. Just because she’s queen doesn’t mean she can get away with arson.

When I saw people drawing their characters like this for the first time, I knew I had to do this. There are so many characters I could have chosen, but it’s been a while since I drew the Fable siblings so thought it was perfect.

I’ve been using procreate lately since I got an iPad solely for that and have been trying to find brushes similar to the old ones I had on CSP. I’ve had no luck, but have a lot of other cools brushes that may help me develop new art styles. Including the above style. I found these really nice ink and ink wash brushes and really wanted to use them. I think they work wonderfully for silly meme art like this. It has a very nice cartoon look to it. It’s also just been super amazing to be able to draw wherever. I have more motivation to draw since I can carry this tablet with me everywhere. Much less of a hassle to hook up a drawing tablet to my computer and then actually have to sit down at the computer and draw.

Some details about the drawings themselves: When trying to decide what to replace the LAPD with, I wondered what would the police force in Albion be considered. I went with ARG which is for Albion Royal Guard. Because who else can arrest the queen and prince? I also wanted to make the plates look wooden since Albion is y’know, ye olden days. And then there’s the height things. If you look closely, you can see what I headcanon Logan’s height to be and what Aelyn’s height to be. I could have left those background pieces out, but I thought it would be cool to add that little bit of detail. I also wanted it to look like the names and such were painted on so that one brush came in clutch to add to the aesthetic.

I could totally see the HoBW calling Ben Finn Benjamina to be funny after the Reaver quest.

Slowly, everyone else starts joining in. Even Reaver, when he visits the castle. (Reaver had a restraining order, he definitely knew where his stuff went) He's a turd, but he's always funny.

Ben doesn't even know what's going on, he just knows that his name isn't Benjamina and at first he was annoyed, then confused, and then just too scared to ask.

Eventually, after making jokes about him loving Reaver for a solid few weeks, Page tells him whats going on.

Then he commits to the bit.

He starts talking about Reaver in a mocking, high pitched voice, each time they call him Benjamina.

Eventually, he kills the fun for everyone else, including Reaver and the HoBW. But he's convinced its funny now that he knows what's going on, and occasionally continues the bit to attempt to make his friends laugh, to the disdain of literally all of them.

One day, he makes the mistake of making the joke in Bowerstone and Benjamina hears it. She's then completely convinced that he also loves Reaver and starts trying to talk to him about him, very obsessively.

Page and Walter walk off and leave Ben to talk to her, refusing go fish him out of the awkward conversation.

He never makes the joke again.

I have an ideal Reaver's Mansion scenario in my mind, and it involves having Ben Finn there, being able to dance with either Page or Ben Finn if you wish, and lots of battle banter where everyone is getting on everyone's nerves :)

I'm replaying fable 3 and I'm thinking about the ptsd that hobw must have after aurora. and no one ever talks about it. like logan went through the same thing and look how he turned out. they are wayyyy too calm and collected throughout the whole thing me personally I'd be crying screaming throwing up etc. how you gonna come face to face with darkness incarnate and just be chill with it 😭

my hobw is legitimately scared of the dark for the rest of her life. I think that is a reasonable reaction, canon hobw is way too cool with the whole situation

That's why I freaked out a long time ago and wrote a long fanfic about it(

Man imagine if Fable 3 had had a childhood section that was a young HOBW and Logan spending the day together, playing at being Heroes or going on adventures around the castle, and we see Logan as a bright, happy child who is also a doting older brother who is very close and affectionate with his sibling. Maybe they reenact Sparrow's adventures, and Logan lets his sibling be Sparrow while he plays the evil Lord Lucien. He's gotten very good at 'being shot' and he enjoys getting to be melodramatic and eeeeevil. It's fun in its own way, he says. The HOBW says they much prefer getting to be the Hero, and that they want to be a Hero like their parent when they grow up. Logan says they'd be a brilliant Hero, even better than Sparrow.

The section ends with the HOBW asking if Logan will always be there for them, and he promises that he will.

It would have lent much more weight to the relationship between them by establishing that bond while also showing just how much Logan has changed and how much that relationship had broken down over the years. That childhood promise, broken. The trust and friendship between them, gone. Logan no longer letting his sibling set the terms, but demanding they do things his way.

It really would have given them the tragic edge that the game itself glossed over.

I feel like HOBW is most likely to quit being a hero after their main story

Like chicken chaser and sparrow have never really known anything else so leaving this life would be far fetched, and, at least with how I interpret them, the place they feel most natural is in the middle of a fight.

But hobw??? They KNOW another life, before everything went to shit they had this lavish life and barely knew anything past the castle wall. They read and heard stories of heros, including their own parent, and were star-struck, they wanted to be like them, they idolized them.

But what happens when they actually do it? They're fighting non-stop, and at first they might find it to be all they've ever dreamed of, but as it goes on they're tired. Is so much death, and people around them,like Elliot/Elise Swit, Pages men, keep getting hurt. Then theres what happens to them in Aurora and they're just...

Tired.

And when they finally reach their goal, overthrowing Logan, it feels good for all of five minutes, until he says how the creatures from Aurora are coming to them, and its up to them to protect albion from it?

They're exhausted and suddenly emphasizing with Logan more than they thought.

And so they spend a year desperately trying to make the money so that their people don't die, and maybe they succeed which is good! Until the actual battle, where they have to kill Walter, their parental figure, their mentor. And after that? Everyone around them leaves, they move on, and they're meant to be stuck ruling over the country and people are expecting them to fight with as much vigor as when they started but they just can't be bothered.

They're tired of fighting.
