long time no see! It’s been quite a while since I have sent in an ask.. Or at least I think so! I was reading Vio’s whole master list again and I read everything and I mean EVERYTHING! So I was checking out the comments and noticed you said something about a clingy Vio? I wonder how that may be and why? Can someone as bratty and stuck up tsundere like Vio become clingy? o(゚Д゚)っ!
nonnie!! it has been such an incredibly long time, i hope you've been well🥺🩷 it's always a pleasure to have you back in my inbox w/ all your wonderful thoughts and i'm incredibly sorry this took a while to get to😔💔 also the fact that you went back to read vio's entire masterlist + the comments is totally flattering, thank you😭💕
Vio isn't oblivious. He's well aware how much words can have an impact — it's a choice he's made to sharpen his, to keep away the world he has no interest in. Although he likes you, he still hasn't figured out what place you have in his life, or how he'll open the door to let you in without being flooded by everyone who's undoubtedly riding your wave. So he dances with you instead, tests the waters, sees how much he can step on your toes before you pull away. It surprises him when you don't, when you give him patience enough that it numbs his brain and suddenly, all he has is a melting heart for you.
It's at that point, worries begin to eat him alive. He knows every bad thing he's said has surely piled up. In the past, frankly, he didn't care, but now he knows he loves you and what if he's already driven you away? Clingy doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of what he becomes when he realises that. You of all people are well acquainted to the person he is when the cameras aren't rolling; there is no chance of concealing himself behind smiles and sweet talk anymore. Desperate, Vio gives you his vulnerable and insecure self — the one that no one else has seen — because he doesn't know what else to do.
He's hoping he can keep you, if you see the only sincere side he has. Crawling into your bed at night, beside you every waking hour. Messaging you every three seconds, asking where you are and when you'll be back. He won't sit still unless you're in his line of sight, won't change sets unless you're travelling in the same car, he won't even act until your eyes are on him. Vio shows you how absolutely useless he is without you. If not anything else, you'll have to pity him, right? Pity will keep you close. He prays it will.

FSR rambles ANOTHER ONE (It's the 22nd one)
Tumblr media
Dark's mind reading is just, so damn fun.
Like Green is gambling SO MUCH putting his trust into Dark but it pays off because Dark can TELL Green is truly putting faith in him to give him the benefit of the doubt.
And that means A LOT to him.
The fact Green doesn't want to hurt him MEANS A LOT TO HIM.
Dark knows this man ain't stupid.
I like him giving Green a goodbye hug and a kiss on the cheek hah.
It's so sweet in a way.
And his parting words being words of affirmation for Green.
He can be a very sweet person when given kindness.
I just like them a lot.
Green was a pretty good influence on Dark. XDD
Tumblr media
Dark Link's dramatic ass flying away is so funny to me and probably just me.
Like Dark doesn't typically fly or flex his wings much but they DO exist. XDDD
He can kinda just hover like Shadow but I don't think that's been shown even ONCE XDDDD
Dark isn't really the type to flex his magic in general though.
The Headspace IS HIS BODY which uhhh is a horror.
Time to mention: It changing from a desolate blue to that bright pink woodsy area afterward is kinda a reflection of Dark and the person he's talking to's mental space.
It'll change again later when he talks to Blue too.
Now that Dark Ran off we get an insight back into Green. Even though he technically WON this interaction? If you could word it that way, he got kinda what he wanted...He's still kinda overloaded with bullshit, poor guy.
Whatcha looking at Green-
Tumblr media
...UH HI LINK????
WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE???
And in Dark's outfit did ya swap? 👀
Link's just mumbling to himself about wtf just happened...which uhhh, Link. You just take the hobby of stalking yourself???
he doesn't seem to be aware of Green at all until Green makes himself known.
Not before his face bugs out. XD
Tumblr media
Ngl. this is one of my favorite interactions its SO stupid.
The dialogue is up there in scenes that make me laugh just to read.
Like, Link my guy, did you ACTUALLY think for a SECOND that shit would work???
Link's eyes bugging out completely as he runs in terror from Green has to be up there in stupid shit. It's so ridiculous and amazing just tickles my brain lmfao. It's so dumb. XDDD
Tumblr media
Link cycles through all 4's personalities for a second X'DD
1st panel: Vio
2nd Panel: Green
4th and 5th: Blue
6th being Red obviously
Green is so fed up with him after being kicked in the damn stomach. XDDD
Tumblr media
Sooooo, we didn't learn a LOT from Link's appearance outside of the fact he's still lingering around within the headspace. Which is ODD because Dark hasn't brought him up or seemingly hasn't run into him...Despite Link STALKING him it seems.
Weeiiiird.
Link's adoption of the black tunic is odd to say the least. His mental state is still fractured and torn considering it's appearance.
And it dawns on me I don't think Green goes on to NEVER disclosed to anyone Link's still running around. X'DDDD (Re-reading FSR together like this is fun isn't it?)
A LOT of shit happens to where he didn't really have time to squeeze it in but it is funny this scene is still pretty up in the air on it's importance for now.
Also since this is rambles I don't have to keep secrets on who the weirdo next to Link is in the last panel.
That's FSRA Link. Which just leaves all sorts of weird implications I'll let you sit with, considering that man is from 100+ years in the future...
;)
Tumblr media
True to his word, Shadow is able to tell Dark was active. Oh no.
LOL also not Zelda calling Green by the wrong name. X'D Poor girl isn't used to being around the four dudes her bestie splits into. (She literally had NO idea they were split until AFTER the final battle lmfao and then they walked back to the sanctuary and boom.)
So yeah Shadow tries to wrestle Dark back because dude's a dangerous little ball of evil. XD
He SAW what he did to Vio first hand and didn't wanna have that happen to Green.
Tumblr media
I'll never not find it funny Dark can summon his sword in that form, but literally can't even use it. X'DDDD
He also yanked Green's arm away from the sword so he didn't get hit because Dark's very attached to Green at this point.
Shadow's got beef with the little guy and Zelda making a force field, and Shadow proceeding to SMACK into it always gets a laugh it's so dumb.
Art wise it's kinda funny just how LONG Dark's tentacles are in this scene considering I shortened them later. XD
Also...Considering recent updates Dark responding violently when in danger is...Well something. XDDD
Tumblr media
Poor Green and his savior complex-
"I can help him-" - Green about the horrific monster that tormented everyone.
Shadow even points this out but Shadow's also projecting HARD onto Dark X'DDD
"I'm an evil horrible liar so this bitch must be too" - Shadow.
Shadow personally just wants everything to be perfect and peachy and that can't happen with Dark so he wants the easy way out so to speak.
Shadow sweetie, it's not your curse. XD
(Funny we're bringing that up...Shadow Link hasn't been in the headspace at ALL...Interesting huh?)
Tumblr media
OOOMF.
That shit must have HURT to hear out of Green considering him and Shadow were doing MOSTLY well before that.
Green's been bottling his negative feelings towards Shadow for a LONG time now and JUST seeing what Shadow did while with Vio it was inevitable dude would snap.
Green immediately regrets what he said though.
Tumblr media
Dark cuddling Green is always cute.
Shadow got called out and now feels like shit.
Not Zelda sitting here like "Genuinely wtf are yall talking about rn???"
Tumblr media
He can't even argue with Green considering it was pretty true. X"D Even if it was a low blow.
Zelda blowing a hole through the castle has lead to...ISSUES.
Shadow's acting a bit ominously.
Tumblr media
Mmm fast travel.
And bitter unresolved feelings. Our favorite.
Tumblr media
Hiiiii it's been months since I touched this lmao.
Back into the game:
Green has a lot of hesitance too, he just chooses to stuff that down in turn for a more peaceful option.
he's aware dark has caused hurt and is INSANE but wants to give him a chance.
I think in a lot of ways he regrets that Shadow never had help because they just met "Too late" in a lot of ways.
Shadow had already committed many horrible deeds before anyone had a glimpse of being able to help him.
While Dark is still very new and able to be saved from a life of regret or villainy, cause Green recognized that spark of good in him that could blossom into a good person if they give it a try.
meanwhile, Shadow's being self loathing.
Tumblr media
...To be fair a lot of what Dark Link says DOESN'T make sense due to it being...from an outsider's perspective utter nonsense (He knows Zelda lore lmfao.) but his claims Shadow just IS ganon are clearly getting to shadow cause he's got self doubt.
Meanwhile Green tries to remind him of his progress, and thinks Shadow and Dark could have something to bond over.
Tumblr media
Aaaand there is it boy doesn't wanna be reminded of how much he's fucked up. It's hard when there's a mirror pointed at you.
Green's still feeling bad about what he said.
And since people missed it, and I was being cheeky:
Green and Shadow did share a lil smooch.
Dark isn't happy about it. XD
To be fair, I'd be pretty pissed off if my only goal was to get a lil smooch smooch and people were handing em to lord ganon evil lord of the buttholes too.
Tumblr media
Bask in his beauty Shadow, he sure is pretty. UwU
Shadow letting Green down not so gently that he's an idiot will always be funny.
he was backed into a corner guys, be nice to him.
Tumblr media
Shadow's of course more concerned about Vio rn.
I'd be worried about his reaction too...As we see later it's not a happy welcome to Dark Link XDDD
Dark Link isn't having being shoved back into Shadow's hat.
Shadow in a moment of...idk what you'd call it, clarity I suppose decides to let him stay with Green.
it's up to the reader to assume WHY he did that.
Realizing he makes Dark Link feel unsafe, just not wanting to argue. Overall there's hesitation on his end.
So he ends up in Green's hat. XD
Green asking a reasonable question about how he's gonna go get Blue...considering his physical form is WITH Green and Shadow.
And Dark responds verbally. So far I think he's only growled in that form. XD
Tumblr media
So uhhh, Shadow's pissed off Dark refused to speak last night. XDDD
So if you're curious: My vision for Dark in this form is that speaking is VERY difficult for him to do so he just...doesn't.
This is his dormant form, so his "Functionality" is mostly...nonexistant.
This is a form that doesn't take a lot of effort to maintain or upkeep so his actual abilities aren't very wide.
Like he CAN talk. But simple phrases and words are easiest for him to do. Which is why he repeats "Yeah yeah" twice.
Shadow also fails to realize even THIS form was a step up from the fact Dark was a simple sphere with an eye before. XD
He grew a mouth to chew on Green...So he might have had the intention to speak last night and just...didn't.
But if he wanted to speak, he could just form back to his "Link" form or drag someone to the headspace.
Overall: Shadow ya dummy he probably just didn't have anything to say XD
Green coming to Dark's defense screaming "STOP IT SHADOW YOU'RE SCARING HIM!" is so funny because I without fail imagine the "HE'S AFRAID OF SANTA CLAUS!!!" "STOP IT PATRICK YOU'RE SCARING HIM!!!" spongebob bit.
Shadow letting the whole "Dad" debacle slip and Green's fucking face to that just sends me.
He looks so...judgmental. X'D
"This is how you'd treat your son?"
Dark Link giving Green the title of his "Dad" Whatever he thinks that means...because Shadow is a bad one is just, funny as hell to me.
Dark so obviously doesn't understand blood family ties (...His entire life revolves around 4 dudes who are one guy, and that guy's shadow all being in a weird as fuck relationship so uh...who blames him for not understanding family)
Affectively, Green is just someone Dark considers his family so...he's his "dad". XD
Tumblr media
The title switch from Shadow TO Green is due to the fact he just feels more comfortable and safe WITH Green.
...Shadow uses THIS as an example of Dark being "Unreasonable" which is something else alright. XDDD
Green taking the piss out of the whole "dad" thing is pretty damn silly...Green you ARE the daddy now. X'D
I don't think Green would have tried this shit if Dark was in his Link form. XDDD
I know in the draft comic folders I got a comic where Green treats Dark differently based on his form and how Dark doesn't understand that. (him being uncomfortable with the finger chewing in his Link disguise vs his dormant form for example) and how he thinks Green's a hypocrite.
Last panel: Shadow DEFINENTLY not trying to keep everyone thinking Dark's just insane and not saying anything important.
I'll cut it off here since getting into the Darkblue segment (As I like to call it) is gonna be interesting I think XDD

Okay, so I know I said I wasn't going to do much with this AU since I was focused on a different one at the time (and I still am), but I've been thinking about the post-canon for this AU a bunch and I couldn't get it out of my head.
The designs are fairly simple (most changes occur post-canon), but there's still a few details in there that I'd like to talk about! Peep below the cut for more yappin' if you'd like.
(I just figured out how to add line breaks yeehaw)
I started with Green since I had the clearest picture of her in mind. I like to think they all got a mishmash of traits from the original Link here, so Green has the og Link's ponytail, but its length was divided between her and Red. All in all, she resembles Link the closest but isn't an exact match. I also made the executive decision that she simps for Zelda. She's just really worried about her future girlfriend, okay?
Blue didn't quite turn out how I'd hoped, but if I ever do something more with this stage of the AU, I can always make adjustments. Her hair is supposed to be the fluffiest, matching the og Link's texture. She's a little insecure about it making her look "too girly" or cute since that's not at all the image she wants to have, but she learns over time that being cute and badass can still go hand in hand.
Red is the one I was looking forward to drawing most, but she's still fairly simple as well. She wears her hair in a side ponytail to "not step on Green's toes", but also because she thinks it's cute (she and Blue don't see eye to eye on this early on, as you can imagine). She has a bomb-shaped hairbow that she made herself (tying into her post-canon shenanigans), but I haven't yet figured out when she acquires it.
Vio was supposed to be holding her bow here but I couldn't quite figure out how to draw it at that specific angle, so it's in hammerspace for now. Outside that, Vio's design has the most variety. She's meant to learn emotions over time within this au, and this progression is marked by the flowers in her hair. She starts out with none, but as they journey, Red starts to teach her the basics, and with it weaves Zelda's favorite flower into her braid. Once she joins up with Shadow, she's gifted a violet (because Shadow thinks it's punny, and for subtext reasons) that she starts using to pin her bangs out of her face. The flowers begin to wilt as time goes on, first the wildflowers, then the violet, until none remain and the final act is approaching. Shadow gives her one last violet before dying, though Vio doesn't actually start wearing it until the Four Sword is put back and they remain behind. Lots of lore for this one.
Finally is Shadow, who I'm actually surprised turned out so well. I went back and forth on whether I wanted her to wear the hat or not, but I ended up deciding against it since none of the others wear their hats either. Her hair pretty much acts like Shadow's hat in canon, it moves independently of her and the tips of it are smokey and wisp around. Along with Red, I have decided she is short. It just felt right. She does have claws and fangs, but she keeps them a little more on the down low until a suitably dramatic moment occurs to reveal them.
And that's all that comes to mind for now. I've had this idea floating around in my brain since I got back into the fandom, but never had the motivation to poke it too much and see what it do.
The post-canon is what I've mainly been focused on, so maybe I'll try and doodle a few things for it sometime. I took inspiration from one of the bonus comics in the manga where they all stay split after the sword goes back, so that's the canon ending for this au.
It goes fairly far into the future, with all of them settling into their own lives somewhat independent of each other (they all see each other multiple times a week with the exception of Vio, who travels a lot with Shadow ((who may or may not have been brought back through dubious dark magic rituals))).
The brainrot is real, but hopefully entertaining for anyone who made it this far.

WhitPC rambling
WhitPC is like a dating sim with branching routes, Whit is the "heroine" (i forgot the name for male dating sim since otome game is for women). So it has different outcome depending on my mood.
Bad End: one of them dies caused by their own stupidity, they're twins they unfortunately share the dumb brain cells too. The scenario more leaning to Whit dies from his deal with Bailey, getting too close to things he shouldn't know or Bailey just don't need him anymore. This is considered a [Bad End] for Vio but a [Good End] for Whitney.
Other scenario will have Whit the one who [End] Vio, this mostly caused by Whit feeling he's not in control of Vio anymore, maybe Vio has been behaving wrongly not behaving the way he wants him to or he's just paranoid. He'll feels the satisfaction after Ending Vio bc he doesn't need a toy that misbehave, but it doesn't last long. He'll ends up regretting it after realizing he actually does love Vio. It's considered a [Bad End] for Whitney but a [Good End] for Vio.
In both [Bad End] the other that lives will soon follow their other half. Vio will be to distraught to fight back because his twin is dead anyway, he'll let himself be killed or he kill himself right there so he can still be together with him even in death. While Whit takes a bit longer as he realized his true feelings and ends up in a pool of regret, he kill himself where he buried Vio.
"Not seeing you again is what I can't accept."
Neutral End: Vio and Whitney ends up together, they successfully flee the town and living on their own somewhere exploring the world. Even if the whole world is their enemy, as long as they have each other everything is gonna be fine. They don't marry, tho Vio wanted to try wearing wedding outfit so they make a pretend one like the ones they did as a child. (June Bride art)
True End: After their successful show with both Whit and Vio as the main cast (I'm still debating which show will it be but for now it's The Tale of Two Cities), Vio disappears only leaving his dog tag. Even his departure was theatrical (his dogtag ends up on the stage under the spotlight, Whitney is the only audience). Whit upset and angry searches everywhere, he can't lose him AGAIN, but this time he lost him for good. Vio is nowhere to be found, at least in town but even when he uses his connection he can't find him. He continues to stand on the stage. Vio status is unknown but at this point people assumed he's dead.
True end is where he met PC1 if going for Vio route, though different circumstances and situations because both are way older. And like a reset he slowly forget about Vio, "I feel like I used to have someone important but I can't remember who." The hypnotist successfully locked his memory, erasing the idea of Vio like it intend to do.
If going for PC1 route since the beginning it will straight up goes to [True End]. In this route he never have a sibling.
Every route where Whit didn't die will have Whit ends up with PC1 (Whit will be theatre actor regardless of which route chosen).

Ok Random question but if The Colors lived in a time when Hyrule had trains i.e. the Spirit Tracks era, what do you think each Link's relationship with the trains would be. Like would they all end up engineers, maybe Shadow gets spooked by the trains since nothing like that existed in the dark world. I dunno this is just a random thought that has gotten itself lodged in my brain
Okay, so Tumblr didn't show me this came in until now. XD sorry!
I don't know much about Spirit Tracks but I can imagine an early industrial revolution AU with some magic just fine!! :) let's come up with a train-centric steampunky AU:
Kingdom of Hyrule, less of a political kingdom these days, specializing in innovation. They've expanded their rail lines within their borders and have been making deals with other countries to build outward. There is one main rail line sponsored by the government, and universities and a few smaller ones trying to break into the growing industry.
Green, Red, Blue, and Vio are all new graduates of the kingdom's university, each specializing in something different. They're all in minor competition for The Title of Royal Engineer, but otherwise good friends with each other and the dean's daughter Zelda.
Using a steampunky mad science/occult ritual, the most relevant bad guy summons Shadow and, I assume, kicks off the plot.
Green would be kind of an officer—I don't know how train hierarchy works but I can pretend it's something like a ship. He's advancing through the ranks toward captain conductor and took officer classes at school. He's considerate but a little snobbish, coming from a rich family and knowing he's on track to be in charge someday.
Blue clashes the most with him, though Blue doesn't have any intention of being conductor (anymore.) He's well-acquainted with heavy machinery, the real greasy bolts and wheels of it all, and not just for trains. His standards of cleanliness and organization are legendary, and Green consults with him about the condition of the train as a whole.
Red is concerned, of course, with the whole steam-power part of it all. He's intimately familiar with several methods of propulsion, and enjoys trying to come up with more and more efficient engines. He knows exactly how much fuel they need and how to portion it out. He got into some trouble in school for several explosions and usually has soot on his clothes. Where Blue is concerned with every wheel and cog, Red knows the locomotive and tender car like the back of his hand. Better, probably, since his hands are usually blackened or gloved.
Vio's more about the logistics, the theoretical, the communication. He keeps the timetables, the financial records, and telegrams. He's a chronic overworker, and it isn't uncommon to find him napping in his tiny little office chair, several drained cups of coffee rattling on the desk. He's often first off the train at a stop, though he prefers to get back to the office as fast as he can.
Shadow is the ghost in the train. He's the silhouette against the oil lamps, the rippling reflection in the windows, the thing out the corner of your eye. He's the false telegram message, the broken face of the temperature gauge, the bell ringing in an empty compartment.
Okay well that was fun XD got a little more Aesthetic than Conceptual there at the end but hey fun times!

The four (five) chaotic raccoons in a trench coat.
Main navigation center
My Fic MasterList
Also, thanks to @arsonisticscholar with THIS POST for inspiring this fic. It was really fun to write!
I wanted to try out some different headcanons and ideas for Four's pov, so here: (Also Four is a they/them) Red Green Blue Vio Shadow Four Another thing, Four is not a DID system. Four is their own person (Hylian?) and the colors (Plus shadow) ARE Four. Four is not the colors. Their eyes change depending on which trait is being shown. Like they shine more red when They're being compassionate and more violet when they are strategizing. Also, Shadow is in Four's shadow, and has no physical form. But he is there for the ride!
It started out innocently enough.
But then, Vio ruined everything. Because of course that sneaky dramatic bastard did.
Four had been traveling with the past heroes for, well a while now. (Ha that rhymed. Shut up Green.) And Four had not revealed his ability to split. But, since they had grown and considered the heroes brothers, they wanted to tell them. So, they sat off to the side of the campfire one day, thinking about how they wanted to tell the other heroes.
We could just split in front of them! With no reason? It would make more sense to do it in a battle. Yeah, plus you need more flare. How about we just bring it up in one of their 'comparing adventures' talk? Doubt they would even hear us over Warrior's loud mouth. Hey don't be so mean Blue!
Four hummed quietly, jolting when they felt a hand on their shoulder. Looking up, they met Wild's scarred face. He held out a bowl of soup, and Four took it carefully. Doing their best to not spill it. As they ate their soup, which tasted like potatoes and vegetables, they tuned back in to the colors and Shadow. The lack of Vio was disturbing, as he had not said a word yet.
What if we told all the links separately, make them think only they know. Vio finally chimed in. Yes! Now that's the kind of flare and drama we want.
Uh, that's kind of mean.. Yeah, I agree with Red. They're our brothers! You son of a bitch. I'm in.
So it's three against two, Four?
I mean, that is kind of mean.. but also would be really funny.
Four against two. Nice pun. No one cares Green. I care! Who we telling first? Why not do Wind first? I always feel like Wind is left out of all secrets.
Four smiled, looking at Wind as he waved his hands energetically as he talked with Hyrule.
The day was sunny and warm. Wind strolled next to Four in the back of the line. They had been in an unknown time, somewhere between Twilight and Time, and as they strolled through Hyrule Field, Four cleared his throat.
"Hey Wind?" Wind turned to look at Four, who was glancing around like he was scared of someone eavesdropping. Wind glanced at the other heroes, the closest being Warriors and Legend, both loudly arguing over something again.
"Yeah? What's up Four?"
"I, I have a secret that I haven't told anyone." Four started and Wind perked up curiously. Normally, Wind isn't the first person to trust with secrets, as he had been apparently the last to know about Wolfie. He was curious and kind of excited that Four was trusting him.
"You can count on me to keep your secret!" Wind whispered quietly. "I promise no one else will ever know or hear it from my mouth!"
Four smiled, his multicolored eyes flashing more purple (Four always claimed that it was violet, like one of the colors on his tunic.) then the normal swirl.
"I am four raccoons in a trench coat. I guess five raccoons? But really the fifth doesn't count."
(Shadow blew in an offended gasp and huffed quietly.)
Wind blinked momentarily, his brain trying to process what Four just said.
"Wait, you mean you're not even Hylian?!" Wind whispered.
Four just smirked. "I guess that's up to your interpretation."
Then Four walked in silence, leaving Wind to brew over the words. He never clarified what he meant.
Next on the list was Time. But Four also wanted to get another hero. So They devised a plan to tell Time during one of the watches, while another hero was awake.
They waited a while, keeping a careful eye out on Time's watch for any awake heroes. They finally got the moment. It was in Wild's time, Time was sitting staring at the fire, and Warriors was moving just a little to much to be asleep. In fact, Four noticed his eyes fluttering open and closed.
***
Time was staring at the fire, his ears perked for strange noises. He heard Warriors shuffling a bit, and Sky snored quietly next to Hyrule. Suddenly, he heard groaning and shuffling of someone getting up. Turning around, he saw Four blearily walk towards him and taking a seat next to him. Facing the fire. Its light cast a soft glow on the surrounding heroes, bathing Warriors and Wild in an orange light, as they were the closest to the fire.
"Hello there little one." Time murmured as Four sat next to him.
"Hey Time? I need to tell you something." Four begain in a slightly husky voice. Time quietly turned to face Four curiously and waited for him to continue.
"I haven't told anyone yet... but I can split." Four explained quietly. Time tilted his head waiting for Four to explain.
"I can like, split myself and become four different versions of, well, myself. All my adventures had something to do with the spliting. Due to one of my adventures, I was split for so long that I sometimes gets headaches if I don't split for a while." Four explained, holding out his hands to the fire.
"Have you split recently?" Time asked, seeing Four nod.
"Yeah. I have."
They both sat in silence for a bit. Then Time asked a question that was burning inside of him.
"Does anyone else know?" Time asked.
Four shook his head. "No, not yet."
Time nodded. "Take your time in telling them."
They sat in silence again, listening to the crackling of the fire. Four got up and excused himself, walking back to his sleeping bag. Time stopped him before he went.
"Hey Four? Thank you for being brave and telling me." Time smiled gently.
Four smiled back, tucking himself in. Three down, six to go.
***
Warriors was very sure that he wasn't meant to hear that conversation, but as Time gently woke him up for the next shift, he sat quietly by the fire. His eyes flicking towards the smallest hero's form sleeping quietly.
He wondered if he should tell Four he over heard or not. He descided that Four would tell him later anyways, and he should respect his space, but he also didn't want to lie to his fellow hero.
He sighed quietly, looking up to the star filled sky.
What should I do?
Warriors did in fact tell Four the truth the next day, and was met with a lot less hostility then he was expecting. Just a smiled and a 'Thank you for telling me'.
It was after telling Time and Warriors that another joined the train of supporting the idea.
This is actually pretty fun! See, I knew you would see sense you fellow chaos incarnate. I mean, it is kind of fun, but I still feel a little bad about lying to them. You'll understand soon Green. That's ominous.
***
Hyrule yawned blinking at the shining sun. He covered his eyes at the bright light, taking a moment to gather where he was.
He saw the familiar walls of Malon's and Time's house spread before him. Noticing that Wind had probably already woken up and Four was quietly reading a book in the corner. Four glanced up at him as he stretched, sitting up in the comfortable bed. He could feel his magic replenished after the battle last night, ready and hovering at his fingertips ready to be used.
"Hey, good morning Hyrule. Did you sleep well?" Four asked, his eyes gleaming red and green in the sunlight.
Hyrule nodded. "Yeah. I am back to my full strength again." Hyrule smiled, cracking his neck quietly.
Four smiled, starting to stand up and leave, but he stopped in the doorway. Turning, Four stared at Hyrule with an intense expression.
"Hey Hyrule? Can I tell you something?" Hyrule tilted his head much like what Wolfie does.
"Yeah of course!"
"Well, hmmm. How do I phrase this... Take my name, but litterally." Four explained.
Hyrule blinked not knowing how to take that information. "Uh wh-" Hyrule trailed off noticing Four was already gone. He sat in the bed staring at the doorway blankly for a few minutes, processing what just happened. He came down a bit later, giving Four a confused glance as he sat down. Soon though, his attention was on all the delicious food Wild and Malon had made.
Four found Wild as he sat on top of the roof. A crisp cool air ruffled his long hair as he watched the sky. Below Wild could see the village laid out, seeing Legend and Twilight and some of the other heroes rushing to and fro in Hateno Village.
Four sat next to Wild, the smaller not making much noise as they surveyed the land.
"Hey Wild? Can I tell you something?" Four asked suddenly, and Wild blinked, jerking his head towards the smaller hero.
"Huh? Oh. Yeah! Of course what's up?"
Four scratched his neck, his eyes gleaming a mix of red and violet. (Wild swears that's violet. Violet is so much more bluer then purple!) "Okay, so imagine yourself, but there are more of you." Four simply said, gestering to himself. Wild stared at him blankly. "That's my life."
They sat in silence as the rest of the heroes marched back from a successful shopping trip. Trying to understand what Four had said kept Wild thinking about it and getting distracted. He was so distracted that he almost cut himself. Twilight glanced at him worriedly and he brushed it off as 'just being happy to be back!'.
Wild couldn't wrap his head around it.
If there were more of me, that would be everyone's worse nightmare.
Legend always thought Four was a little odd. His dislike of magic swords, his height, his hatred of a special pepper (Legend would even call it a fear), muttering to himself and so on. He always considered himself to be very observant, knowing when to push and when to pull, but he didn't know what to do about Four. The oddest part though was that Four was... somehow familiar to Legend which frankly scared him.
It wasn't until Four had slide up to him did he pay any mind to his thoughts. He noticed Four looking nervous, but he could also see something else well hidden in his eyes. Mischief.
"Oh no, what have you, Wind, Hyrule or Wild done now." Legend said, crossing his arms amused. Four grinned.
"Well, I haven't done anything yet. But I wanted to tell you something." Four said. Legend stared at the colorful hero.
"So, basically I can be in multiple places at once." Four said, and Legend stared at Four not knowing how to process that.
(I mean, you're not technically wrong..)
Four grinned at Legend's expression, hopping off and leaving a flabbergasted Legend staring after him. Then Legend's eyes flickered over to see Wild just as Twilight called out.
"WAIT WILD NO-"
Twilight hummed as he strolled through the street, Four stood close nearby as they hurried. There weren't many hylians out, so they were easily able to navigate through.
"All we need is some apples.." Twilight said thoughtfully, his eyes scanning for the red fruit.
Four gasped. "I see some over there" He pointed to a green stand with the red fruit. Twilight and Four hurried over, buying the apples and leaving some rupees for the owner.
"We have everything Wild asked for, lets go back to the inn." Twilight smiled, putting the apples in a bag. As the two made their way over to the inn, Four nudged Twilight. Twilight looked down at Four who pointed towards the nearby forest.
"Four? Something wrong?" Twilight asked. Four thought a moment.
"Well, first I want to show you something and second, I need to do something first." Four said, dragging Twilight over.
The two moved into the forest, finding a clearing surrounded by a thick wall of trees.
"Here." Four said, and Twilight glanced around noting that it was just leaves, rocks and trees.
"What?-" Twilight started, looking back at Four to see him draw his blade and point it towards the sky. A sudden flash of light erupted and Twilight stood there blinking dazedly as Four glowed several different colors and noticed how they split off. When the light cleared, Twilight blinked staring at now four separate Fours. Each looked exactly the same with the only difference being their main theme of color. Twilight noticed how all the Fours wore seperate clothes, the blue one wearing all blue, the green one wearing all green, and so on. There were a green one, a blue one, a purple one, and a red one. All their headbands were different colors also, each one corresponding to their color scheme. Twilight also noticed that none of the four Fours were wearing the colorful tunic, as they all had one color from the orginal tunic.
"Uhm-" Twilight started before he was interrupted by the blue Four.
"Wow Vio, very creative idea. Totally unoriginal. I'm sure that none of us ever possibly thought of this." The blue Four complained.
"I didn't see you coming up with any ideas!" Vio, or the purple Four resorted.
"Hey, now we don't need to fight right? I mean I'm sure Twilight is very confused." The red Four stated, waving his hands and getting between the blue Four and Vio.
The final one, one wearing a green tunic, walked up to Twilight. "Hi, sorry about them. They are... my siblings? Me? I'll just call them siblings. Hi, I'm Green, I know a very creative name, you can thank Red. The two arguing over there is Blue and Vio, and the one who is trying to stop them is Red." Green waved. "Okay now how to explain? Well we are Four. Its as simple as that. If you want more details, you can probably ask Vio, but unless you have all day to listen, I wouldn't recommend."
"Now the colors make sense I guess." Twilight chuckled.
Red grinned at him, Blue huffed and crossed his arms, Green laughed and Vio shot Twilight an unreadble expression.
"No one else knows about this." Vio started. Red chimed in. "Yeah we need you to keep a secret!"
Blue and Green looked slightly uncomforable, but nodded. Green a half second later then Blue. Twilight smiled.
"You can count on me!"
Four grinned. Eight down, one more to go! Okay, I agree this is fun. See I knew you would see sense soon! We're running out of things to say... Why don't we just tell Sky the truth. But we have been? No no no. Not like that... Oh that's evil. What can I say, I've been practicing. And you've had one of the best tutors! Four rolled his eyes playfully.
He tried to approach Sky several times, but never was able to get close enough yet. He was finally able to get his chance when the chain had landed on Tetra's ship. Wind had eagerly introduced the heroes to Tetra before, so Tetra didn't even bat an eye at the sudden arrivals. Instantly, she let them settle down (with the exception of Wind who she instantly put to work and he energetically followed) in the hull of the ship. The other heroes were up on the deck, with the only ones being Legend and Sky. The former hiding somewhere in the back end of the hull and the former being in the front of the hull.
Four moved towards Sky, stopping to stand right next to him.
Sky looked up at Four, smiling weakly. Four waved and stood next to Sky, leaning over to take a closer look at what Sky was doing. Sky had been carving a small wooden statue. Upon a closer look, Four noticed that it looked eerily like Tetra.
"Hey Four." Sky smiled tiredly.
Four smiled. "Hey, I wanted to tell you something."
"Do I tell the others? No? My lips are shut!" Sky sat straight miming zipping his lips.
"I've been telling the heroes my secret but also telling them that they are the only one who knows. Do what you what you will with this information." Four said, grinning as they saw Sky stiffen, and simply turned away and walked off.
Sky stared after the small colorful hero, blinking wildly thinking over what Four just said.
Wait I'm sorry. What? What secret?! Sky shook his head, confusion sweeping over him.
Well, I guess that makes sense why all the heroes have been doing their best to help Four, or at least Time, Warriors, Legend and Twilight...
**
Four practically cackled out of sight at the entire antics. He could hear the colors also laughing and snorting at the full on confusion that was going on.
You know we're going to get busted soon right? Yeah, but it was fun and so worth it. It was fun! Now, should we make a bet to see how long it takes for them to find out? We literally share a wallet. Yeah but its still funny. I would say maybe two weeks? Nah gotta be shorter then that. What about until our next switch! That's not very specific.
In the end, both Red and Four were right, as it was at the next switch, two weeks later, that they were busted.
But they all had their fun.

Forget the reblog… I’ll be your cheerleader! I never did cheer in school but uhh Go Cheeto! Write write write! *sends motivation your way*
In other news, imma pick your brain. :3c
Other than Wild, who can cook decently well and why?
I TOLD MYSELF I COULDN'T RESPOND TO THIS LOVELY ASK UNTIL I FINISHED MY CHAPTER AND I DID, SO THANK YOU AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Anyways, I honestly think that most of the boys can cook *decently* when it comes down to it. They've survived for months or even years by themselves on the road, they know how to fend for themselves. I just believe that Wild gets the rep as best cook because he has access to fresh items and experiments with spices/methods a lot more than the others would have time to.
Anyways, as to who else can cook!
I think that Wind is a good enough of a cook. He stands in the kitchen and his Meemaw tells him what to cut and stir and whatnot. I think he would be good at helping Wild with the cooking. He probably learned some stuff just by watching others do it.
Twilight. I think Twilight can grill some meat and debone/prepare fish at least decently, and I think he knows how to grill vegetables to make them taste good.
Sky. I think Sky is good at making hot chocolate. No I don't know why I have this headcannon. But I do.
I think Four is actually better than he seems--Vio has just made the executive decision to not reveal that they're a good cook so that they don't get burdened with making all of the Chain's meals. But yeah, when he's at home he makes full course meals for himself and his fam.
I think Legend is one of the more decent cooks too. Especially with how diverse his travels have been, I feel he's picked some stuff up. And I doubt he could burn water like some of those listed below.
Who's horrible?
Hyrule, no explanation needed, his world sucks. Also he sucks at flavor profiles XD
Time, first he lived in a forest of immortal children and then his wife cooked for him, he never really picked up the skill.
Warrior, I think he's always had others make food for him (espeically in the army) so he also never really learned

Tagged by @outeremissary for the Getting to Know You meme, thanks for the tag <3 I am so sleepy filling this out.
Three Ships. Well obviously Vio with Tristian and Balthazar is up there. We are 🤝 about those three. Constantly. It's great. Winter would get me if I wasn't honest with Reid and Mariette/Malachi up here. What a trio. And uhhhh Thalia and Thorne of course. Awkwardly digging through my brain to see if there are any other ships that I really like. I realize I don't ship that much. Regongar and Octavia of course. uhhhhhh ShyMurr. And sure, why not, my rarepair Fate ship: ProtoCu and Perseus.
Last Song. You and I by PVRIS. I'm back to playing my full Liked Songs library on Spotify to see if I can find new songs to add to playlists.
Last Movie. ugh god okay so. Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. Basil and I needed to show Winter just how bad the movies were as adaptations of the book series so we suffered over the weekend doing that.
Currently Reading. I've got a long list of manhwa that I read as they update but "I'm a Spider, so what?" has been the longer manga I'm getting through. It's been a long time since I had the time and focus to crack open a normal book, but Howl's Moving Castle and Wuthering Heights were the last two that I tried to start on and just never got far. I should really try to get back to those.
Currently Craving. Ah, hm, well it's first thing in the morning so my appetite doesn't exist yet. But I guess if it were anything it'd be soup….. something gentle on my stomach but warm. It's so cold out here.

Hi hi! In commiseration with the new profile picture, I'm asking a question that's been floating around in my head for a while now: What's the online name you prefer? I just don't know what to call you in my head and sometimes the brain says Purple, or Porpor, or Banana or something else and I was wondering if you had a preference? sorry if this is annoying, I'm genuinely just wondering
Also, because this isn't the most exiting ask, here's a slip of paper saying "I will listen to any rant/headcannon/wip/whatever else you might have been wanting to talk about but didn't know if anyone would care" it can be used whenever and however many times you want it to be used, I am always open to listen to people talk! :D
anyways bye, hope you had/are having/will have a good day!
I’m okay with anything, my friends call me “Ven” a shorter version of my given name. I haven’t thought of a different name yet, so for now, just call me “Porpor”, “Banana”, anything really. Though it’d be nice if I was called something like “Nocturne”, “Vaughn”, “Vance” or “Victor”. Also, I can’t really properly transition due to trans/homophobic parents, so if anyone has advice, I’m open for that!
Edit: I just read the headcanon/rant thingie and I’m so happy seeing people actually wanting to hear me yap!!! Everyone at school thinks I’m annoying for this trait.
Anyway, some thing that I’ve been thinking about for a while is that, what if we had our own colours in our head? Like a Foursona (that term prob already exists). Idk if anyone has thought of this before, but it would be so cool if we had our own “Red, Green, Blue, and Vio” in our heads doing little shenanigans. I gave mine nicknames, My Red is Cardinal/Poppy, Green is Basil/Parsley (maybe), Blue is BlueBell/Clematis, and Vio is Orchid/Hyacinth. I haven’t chosen a specific one for all of them. Also, it’s fun thinking about how your own colours would react to random thoughts or jumpscares in your head.

I feel the need to explain my au a lil bit. Cause I have more ideas than brain (like independent of each other) that I also want to give a lil attention to like my loz story au thing, and another one for four swords that actually has a story and not just vibes.
Warning for a wall of text and also mentions of child abuse.
The "Four Separate Paths" au is an au that was partially based on a dream, partially based on a story I made based on four swords that just went full circle back to it. In the au, after the defeat of Vaati, when they normally would have re-merged under normal circumstances, they don't, and three out of the four of them argue about what to do next.
In the original draft of the au, Vio is kinda just, stuck in his own head thinking about what to do next. Barely listening to the argument as he tries to figure out where he could start in his path to getting them back into one Link again. In the comic I added her to help verbalize some of what Vio was thinking to more fluidly share it with the readers.
But the RBG boys have already kinda... made peace with this. They care less about remaining four people, and more about where they want to go and what they want to do next.
Green wants to go back to how things were, basically. Thinking that with all four of them it would be easier to defend the kingdom, and now that they know how to work as a team they would be even more effective than Link was alone (I realize now I kinda put Red and Green in trope version of themselves. I fking love the two of them and their characters... doesn't mean I always know what to do with them narratively ,Xb).
Red wants to focus on repairing the kingdom, and helping others around the kingdom learn to better defend themselves from the dangers of people like Vaati and Shadow.
Blue wants to travel and expand helping people to more than just hyrule (something I stated in the comic)
Vio ends up going with Blue when they all split ways because he knows that, once he figures out how to get them back to being one, Blue would be the hardest to track down. In Vio's mind this is just another challenge to overcome, and he thinks that- rather than being okay with staying split -the other three just don't think about how to "fix the problem", so now he has to do it.
Shadow's still alive in this au. He's just a part of their shadows more permanently. Not sure if I want him to be revealed to all of them or if I wanna stick with the funny idea I had of only Red knowing he's still around and the two of them bonding over Shadow filling Red in on what's going on with Blue and Vio over tea.
Blue and Vio travel for awhile, Blue slowly making a name for himself as a "wandering hero" as he does exactly what he set out to do by helping people. Anywhere from small shit like helping an old lady carry her groceries to bigger stuff like stopping burglars and bandits. Vio spends most of his time researching magic and stuff, hoping to understand why they stayed split even if he doesn't have access to hyrules magic books, but he helps with the bigger stuff even if he prefers staying to the background (good thing Blue purposefully makes it easy for him by making his personality 2x bigger).
Eventually an old man finds Blue and Vio while they're in between towns. He says he's been a world traveller his whole life and can tell them little tidbits of information and guide them on their adventures. Both are reasonably of a suspicious old man approaching them in the middle of nowhere as the sky darkened, Vio being like "this guy is clearly doesn't have good intentions, we should entertain him and then ditch him at the next town" and Blue is like "idk, maybe we should take him up on his offer, keep you enemies closer and all that, plus, free guide!" And so they let the old man stick around.
The old man turns out to be controlling af. Hiding behind the two of them at the first sign of danger, and then telling them off for having fun. He also starts telling people that mister "wandering hero" is his protege, and that he "taught the kid everything he knows."
It makes Blue and Vio really uncomfortable, but they put up with it because A) he's kinda useless in a fight so "isn't able to do any real damage", B) they do technically need a guide being that it's saved them a lot of problems, and C) Blue finds it funny to get back at him by immediately after the old man walks away turn to the person he lied to and tell them that he's "senile" and "confusing himself for grandma!" ... that sentence made sense, right?
Anyways.
At one point Blue comes across a family of boys that have been terrorizing a few towns for years. After him and Vio investigate more they learn the disturbing history of the family. The father is forcing his sons to do this stuff for his wealth, while the few daughters the man has are forced to clean their shitty-falling-apart-mansion until they get sick, and also being used to keep the brothers in line.
Blue doesn't want to kill these kids, especially after overhearing one of the younger kids complain about having to do all this stuff he knows is wrong only to be silenced by an older brother afraid of seeing his sibling get hurt for speaking out. So he figures out a plan to save the kids.
He kills the father, gets the ill daughters to a hospital and then fights the people of the three towns to keep the sons out away from the gallows. He does save the kids, but the older kids do still go to prison, though they do it willingly.
The old man, later in the day, has the gall to reprimand Blue and say he should have just ended the whole family because whether it was by force or not they were still guilty of doing some bad shit. Blue fights him on this, Vio stepping in when it starts to get violent. The old man leaves the inn in a huff, and the two don't see him for the rest of the night. Vio unable to sleep thanks to the sense of foreboding.
The next morning, when Blue goes to visit the kids to say goodbye before heading off to the next town wrapping up with the older kids, he finds the old man standing in front of the cell while two guards escort the boys there out of the cell. After being asked what's going on, the old man says "they're being hung for their crimes. Obviously." Which, y'know, sets off Blue, who tells him he's being monstrous.
The old man tells Blue that he's being stupid to let them live, and that his kindness "weakness" will get him killed one day. To prove his point he pulls out a charm Blue had never seen before from his pocket, and yeets Blue into the dark world, out of sight of the guards and kids to make sure the next part of his plan goes smoothly.
Vio sees it though, and he hides for a little while, trying to figure out what to do while he keeps an eye on the old man.
The younger kids are brought forward with the older kids, and the people of the three towns (who had been brought together for this) are confused about what's going on and why the kids are being put in line for the gallows despite the fact that they had agreed that- given the context -the punishments the kids received were acceptable?
The old man claims that the kids killed Blue, and holds up a blood stained blue tunic that Vio thought had been thrown away after the fight they had weeks ago. He doesn't understand how the people think an obviously dry bloodstain came from at least a night ago, but I digress. The old man spins a conspiracy story of the kids teaming up, the ones in prison telling the ones not in prison what to do. Thanks to his position as Blue's "mentor" they believe him.
Things are looking bad for the kids. Until Vio gets a really bad idea. He's standing relatively in the middle of the crowd, easy to miss, at least until he starts laughing like a maniac. He's surprised with himself for how much like evil giddy glee the forced laughter sounds like. "You think it was them that killed him?"
Vio goes on to tell the confused and startled crowd that he killed Blue, and that the old man may have been convincing, but trying to pin their act on those kids was cowardice.
Yup, "their" act. Vio's dragging the old man down with him.
The people get out of Vio's way as he walks over to the old man, looking much more confident then he feels. Vio smugly turns back to the crowd and stats spinning his own story. One where he's jealous of Blue's fame and tired of being in his shadow, a story more than a little inspired by Shadow himself. He claims the old man had helped him, then says the old man just wanted the kids out of the way to make it less messy to clean up themselves, but Vio was "bored of that idea", so changed their plans.
Long story short, the people of the towns chase to two out. The old man showing more of his true colours.
Turns out, old man knows a shit ton of magic, and can fight better than Vio and Blue thought.
The old man starts hunting Vio down, eventually catching up to him and sealing him away in a different place then Blue.
The Cabin had nothing in it. Just one fireplace parallel to the door, cabinets that stored an infinite amount of food in them, a sink to wash dishes and get drinking water from, and a stack of wood for the fire. There was one note: "Don't let the fire go out. EVER." The Cabin was surrounded by eternal night and eternal soft snowfall. There was no bed, no blankets, no chairs. Just him, food, a fire, and firewood.
Meanwhile Shadow is loosing his mind over this whole situation. Goes into the dark world to get to Red and tell him about this (because I imagine the dark world is like a dream world, and makes it easier to travel from one place to another if you know how to travel through it, because dream logic is applied everywhere) and bumps into Blue, who's like "great! Can you get me out of here????"
This is how Shadow discovers he actually can still become hylian-shaped in the real world, it just requires help from Zelda. Whom he gets help from Red to tell that there is a major problem tm.
It takes awhile to get Vio out again, because they have to track down the old man and (ahem) convince to tell them where Vio was.
And that's kind of where my ideas run out. I know... not the greatest ending. Mostly because its not an ending. But it's all I've got for now.

Three Plus One: Chapter 3: Don't You Worry My Friend
Blue may not be know for being the smart one in the family. he's hot headed and has a tendency to run into problems head on more often than not, but if there is one thing Blue knows its her family and Shadow is family. and here it is! the next chapter of the rgb trios Hytopian adventure! this time from Blue's pov. fun fact, this has been done since before the hiatus, but I wanted to post the last chapter of Four Minus One first, so, whoops.
Blue bit back a curse as she shoved the two bokoblins out of her way. Red and Green would handle them, they had her back, and they were trusting her to get close to Shadow. Something was wrong, for it to be attacking them, and Blue was sure she saw a flash of, something, in its eyes when she had gotten close in their last fight. She sent another bokoblin flying with her hammer. She then swung back and threw it at the three standing in wait next to their old enemy turned friend, and with the momentum left from that threw herself at Shadow, pinning it to the ground moments before it realized she was there. She realized as Shadow thrashed around below her that step two was far less realized then step one. Emotions were Red’s thing, and knowing how Shadow’s brain worked was Vio’s. She had to do something for their friend though. If it really was the same Shadow they knew before.
As the sounds of his siblings holding off the enemies in the area surrounded them he felt Shadow stop struggling below him. He looked it in the eyes, and before he could say anything it spoke. Its voice sounded scratchy, painful, and as if it hadn’t spoken since they had lost it, and it looked, afraid. “Blue? Help me.”
Blue almost recoiled, but managed to keep her hold on Shadow. “We’re gonna get you outta here Shadow, but we’re down brainiac. They stayed at home trying to find a way to get you back.” Shadows’ eyes were losing focus and Blue actually cursed this time. “So you gotta tell me what you know!”
Shadow’s eyes snapped back into clarity and it leveraged an intense stare back up at Blue, “The mirror must be broken.” In Blue’s confusion it managed to shove him back off, eyes once again cloudy as it disappeared back into the shadows, leaving the three to finish off the remaining monsters.
Green’s boomerang took out a bokoblin to her left, and Red took out the last one on her right with their fire rod as Blue stood back up, grabbing her hammer as she stood. The two were running over to her, looks mixed somewhere between confusion, concern, and curiosity. Red stopped next to her first, eyes searching for any injuries. “Are you alright? Was that Shadow? Is it alright?”
“Red, slow down. Let him answer one question before you move on to the next.” Green put a hand on Red’s shoulder as he reached them, also noticeably checking both of his siblings for any injuries.
“Right, right. Sorry. I’m just worried.” Red didn’t even bother to look apologetic while they apologized, and Blue didn’t blame them. They were all worried about Shadow.
“I’m fine, and it was definitely Shadow. Our Shadow.” Blue bit her lip, knowing her siblings would not take this next part well, but also knowing it needed to be said. “It sounded hurt, and scared. It asked for help. Said ‘the mirror must be broken,’ then left.”
Red looked on the verge of tears, and Green immediately got into what the other three had all dubbed ‘Captain Mode’. He straightened his back, and the look in his eyes was reminiscent of their dad in a tough battle. “One at a time, hurt how?”
Blue nodded, treating this like a real field report would be fastest and most efficient. “Its voice sounded shot. One of those shatter scars seemed to be going across its neck, I’m not Vio, so I have no idea what physical repercussions a magical scar like that could have, but I’d be willing to bet it’s correlated.” He paused, thinking, before adding, “If I’m right then the vision in its left eye is also probably fucked up. It seems possessed in some way, so if we need to incapacitate it until we can get it out, that may be to our advantage for now.”
“We’ll need to watch its blind spot once we get it back on our team too.” Red added.
“Right.” Green nodded. “Next, ‘the mirror must be broken,’ are you sure it’s here? Now?”
“I don’t know.” Blue tightened her grip on her hammer. “There was so much clarity in its eyes when it said that, but I can’t imagine why it would ask for help and then tell me to kill it!”
“Blue.” It was a warning, but Blue wasn’t about to listen to it.
“No! I’m sorry Red, but Green, we can’t just ignore that that’s what it asked me to do!” He was pacing now, the other two having to back up as his hammer swung around with the force of his turns. “I don’t give a damn about what this witch is planning for Hytopia, we are not solving this problem by letting Shadow get killed. Again!”
“And I agree, but we have to think about this logically. There has got to be a reason Shadow said it, if it really was present in the current moment when it said that.”
“What does that matter?” Blue stopped her pacing to glare at her brother. “If it was present in the moment, it wants us to kill it ourselves this time!”
“It matters because that means we know to look for a mirror.”
“Green?” Red spoke up for the first time since the other two started arguing, face falling to a horrified gape at the implication.
“Not to break it, Red.” Green winced a bit, not having realized what he had implied at first. “But if the witch brought it back with a mirror, then she must be using the mirror to control it too. Look, let’s get back into town. We need to come up with a plan. We’re gonna put a stop to this, and get Shadow back. Then we’re gonna go home, and all five of us will figure out what the fuck is going on with those portals Vio has been studying. Sound good?”
“I vote we take this straight to the Witch now and break her face. She wants to make it personal, let’s get fucking personal.” Blue’s face was twisted into a pissed and disgusted scowl.
“Well now, isn’t that just sweet.” All three heroes’ heads whipped towards the new voice. “And here I thought the little menace was just deluded.”
“Lady Maud!” Green stepped forward as Red put an arm in front of Blue. “Where is Shadow!”
“Back home for now. It’s such a good little pet now that it actually listens to me.” She hummed, twirling her umbrella. “It was so difficult when I first woke it up. You would think it’d be more grateful of me giving it a new chance at life.”
Blue growled, “Listen here you-”
“Seeing as you heroes tossed it aside before.” Red pulled their hand back and Blue jumped forward, slamming his hammer down where Lady Maud had been standing. They all turned to face her when she spoke up again. “I thought if I brought it back without a physical thing tying its life down we could work out some kind of agreement, seeing as we once had the same goals, but no. It was just so convinced you heroes cared about it, so I simply had to use the mirror. To convince it of the truth.”
“So then,” Red spoke up, pout on their lips, and a glint in his eyes that their siblings recognized all too well, but a stranger would never notice, “Shadow’s life isn’t tied to the mirror anymore?”
“Oh heavens no. What a limitation. I can only imagine why its original creator did that.” Lady Maud tutted, clearly upset about Shadow’s prior ‘limitation’ but the three heroes didn’t care. She had just told them all they needed to know.
Green motioned for Blue and lightly tapped Red’s arm. The two responded in kind, Red nodding, and Blue moving back over to her siblings. Pulling out their fire rod Red stepped up in front of their siblings. “Missus Lady Maud?” The pout they gave her has swayed the mind of even the strictest Hyrule Castle guard. “Would you please just give us our friend back? This fight doesn’t have to involve it.”
Lady Maud raised an eyebrow, she had to admit, where she a weaker woman she might just cave. Instead she laughed. “Oh you sweet thing. No, no. It’s my strongest pet. I can’t just let it go.” She gave them a faux smile as she made a show of wiping a single tear out of the corner of her eye.
Red’s expression turned sour as they swiped their fire rod to block them and their siblings from Lady Maud with a small wall of fire. “I’m not so fond of you using my family as a weapon,” Red looked back up at her as they spoke, and smiled, “So what happens next, is on you.”
“We will get it back, Lady Maud.” Green addressed her as he stepped on the magic circles that would teleport them back to Hytopia Castle.
Blue made a rude gesture as he stood on his own circle. “I’m gonna make you regret fucking with us you-” The end of his sentence was cut off as Red stood on the final circle, activating the teleport and sending them back to the Castle.

Erune actually has a good amount of parellels going on with the Links.
When split, the four have each other, but she's an only child. She doesn't like seeing people fight, and this extends to the Links as well. Red also doesn't like seeing the others fight each other.
Shadow Link and she are lonely in ways, and long for company. Shadow seeks out companionship in Vio, and Erune is reluctant to let go of Rosie.
Green even encourages her to keep Rosie, because he can tell she's important to Erune. And this is a bit of a tangent because I'm thinking of the Four Swords manga dub on YouTube, but what Green says in that project is even more evident of a parallel. He says it won't matter how old you are-- you'll miss her regardless. And this is so easily tied to how the Links must be feeling about their dad. Sure, Dad would get on Link's nerves sometimes and vice versa, but they still love and care about each other. The Links don't even know where their father is right now, but they surely miss him and hope he's okay.
Erune's shadow is sobbing on the ground when she is taken to the Dark World and I can't help but think it reflects not only her fear, but her loneliness as well. She has friends of course, but they've all been taken to the Dark World. And people from the outside think she knows more, probably because she's one of the only kids that haven't gone missing yet. They've likely tried interrogating her for answers. She's already worried and distressed by all the fighting in the village so this only puts further strain on her emotional state. And even though she says she's too old to play with dolls, she's still a kid!!
Maybe she feels the need to "grow up" because of the state of things in the village. Abandoning Rosie isn't something she wants to do, but she feels pressured to stop acting like a kid, regarding the upsetting circumstances surrounding her.
I know I'm stretching things a bit in order to get my point across, but Erune just invaded my brain and I wish there had been more time to explore more of her character.

Hi! Uh... I might sound a bit dumb for this question but I really can't think of anyone else to ask, how do you fucking go about on making an au? Because like... I don't know. And it's overwhelming me ngl. I don't know.
You know all those random head cannons that float around in your brain.
Or interactions you've thought of between characters FROM said head cannons:
You just make those a reality. X'D
Welcome to the "Character based AU" Idk what else to call it.
Creations AU for example: Born from me having dumb funny ideas like making Bonnie a stoner, or Freddy a literal prostitute and the Night guard a stone faced bad ass who reacts near emotionlessly/weird no matter what bullshit is in front of him.
Shit like that gives way to a LOT of stupid interactions/comedy. Is if objectively funny? Idk. But it makes me laugh.
Fannon Fan cannon ideas I like from a writing perspective. Not exactly a cannon/theory one lmfao can't stress that enough.
Glamrock Freddy being Michael/Josh in Creations instance, Mikebot, William murdering to try and resurrect his children, Golden Freddy being crying child. Those are just some examples of fannon ideas/theories I liked enough to run with.
Cobbled with: Scenes from the actual games I like
Also: A shit ton of OCs cause we're cringe tonight!~ >:)
I mostly focus on CHARACTER based AUs just cause I like writing CHARACTERS not character concepts.... Multiverse Mayhem is a character concept thing, but I'm not ready to write that yet, and it's way more "Character based" when it comes to how it's actually IMPLIMENTED
But you can do em with random concepts too most UNDERTALE AUs I know are more IDEA based than character based:
CONCEPT AUS!
Have you ever asked yourself:
"WHAT IF INSTEAD OF BEING HAPPY, THEY WERE ALL SAD!" "WHAT IF ALL THE CHARACTERS WERE SHRIMP!?"
And my least favorite: "WHAT IF WE SWAPPED THEIR ROLES!?"
The laziest/my least favorite/fun trope lmfao but a lot of people like that one. it's SUPER hard to make interesting At least to me but my opinions are ass so you can throw em out. X'D but if you're a good writer you can make nearly anything work.
Evil character A is the good guy and Good guy is the bad guy. They swap outfits and MAYBE their backstory's are swapped? Idk there's no consistent rules to this AU idea. Somehow we ended up with the reverse of what was there in cannon. I've only seen it done in a fun way when it's like REALLY detailed Reverse Falls I found interesting for example. Underswap is lazy af and we can all admit we only like the skelebros. I virtually ONLY like them when they're accessories to other AUs/playing off other Sans and Papyrus but that's just me....
There's also "What if x plot point from cannon was changed"
Like uhh, you know. A character NEARLY dies in cannon but ACTUALLY dies in this AU.
@james-p-sullivan wrote a fic about that with Four Swords where Vio dies at the fire temple.
That still has one chapter left that i am waiting eagerly for. X'D
Basically AUs like this are "Cannon divergence." I think is what they're called???
These are super fun.
Because if you know the characters really well you can make em react to whatever divergence in cannon in great ways.
And then there's:
THE PREQUEL, THE SEQUEL AND THE MIDQUEL
Four Swords Returns for example is a sequel with midquel elements.
Midquel: You add scenes where they COULD have fit in cannon or you flesh out scenes mentioned but not seen.
I made FSR: Because I didn't like the ending we were given.
And if you hate an ending: Make a sequel. It's fun.
I started FSR with the simple concept:
How I can split Link in 4 again?
Vaati's curse! :D
Vaati is still alive. Retcon Gannon being in the sword and retcon Vaati being dead. Literally no one has complained because Vaati is wonderful and we love him.
Make it possible for them to split again.
Oh...But what challenges COME from this?
Boom the plot happened.
Basically: Ask yourself a SHIT TON of questions.
"What if this?" "What if that?"
Keep going.
Keep writing cool scenes you would like to see in this AU.
Bam.
You got yourself an AU. :
Hope this helps.

Sinful Sunday: On deck- Figure You Out
okay so really the backstory of this whole fic was I got stoned and was starting to try to write and Figure You Out by VIOLA came on spotify. Less than 12 seconds into the song the angsty Steddiegrove story started forming in my brain.
Then I started thinking about how it would be cooler if Eddie performed this modified version of the song post breakup with Billy. and THEN I started thinking about who would be on tour with Corroded Coffin and because this is my fic and my obsessions I chose OG Panic! At The Disco :D
thus the steddiegrove, rydon, eddie/brendon 2000s band au fic was born
i also didn't expect to write more than the song fic haha so thats why theres only one chapter. Maybe if yall like it enough ill write more 👿
CHAPTER DROPPING THIS SUNDAY!!
in the meantime, here's a little teaser
Chicago: Punk Never Dies Tour 2005
Panic! At The Disco has just cleared the stage and their stage crew is busy setting up Corroded Coffins gear while the crowd demands a second encore. It's been a few days, since his break up with Billy, but it's still eating at Eddie. He hates that he's in such a bad mood. He loves the stage. He loves performing. But his personal life can’t get its fucking shit together and its bleeding all over his stage persona. Even two weeks later.
He's far enough into his head he doesn't even notice there's someone in front of him until they make physical contact.
“Eds? You good man?”
It's Gareth. 15 years his band mate and he knows Eddie and his moods like the back of his hand. Eddie gives him a tight lipped smile. He's not. Not even a little.
“Yeah man, sorry. Didn't sleep great last night.”
Gareth smirks and rolls his eyes.
“So I guess I should be blaming Billy then.”
Any other day, Eddie would laugh it off. Maybe agree, flirt, or make an over the top sexual remark. But not today. Not after Billy yanked out his heart, crushed it with his boot and then pissed on it.
“We’re done.”
Gareth's playful face drops and he looks a little queasy.
“S-Shit, man, I-I’m so sorry.”
“You didn't know,” Eddie says, shaking his head and slapping the back of his bandmates shoulder to indicate the end of that conversation. “Come on, gotta get warmed up.”
-
Billy is practically vibrating out of his skin. He looks like he's either going to pass out or throw up.
“I don't wanna be here Steve,” he says for the 7th time since they arrived at the small venue, but based on the never ending mood swings and constant name dropping of his ex, it's more than obvious to Steve Billy does want to be here. Needs it actually. Steve knows Billy never should of broken up with Eddie. Even if the blonde convinces himself, poorly, he's better off without him.
“Yes, you do. Come on, I’m right here. I’ll be right here, the whole time.”
-
The stage lights change and Eddie turns to face the crowd, still high off that last long. Evidently so are they, because the pit is still active and Eddie watches with glee as the security guards try and fail to stop it. He's arguably feeling a little bit better. Their first few songs have turned an already wild crowd feral. He makes a risky decision, and hopes it's the right one.
“Okay so this next song is brand new. LIke, I wrote it a week ago new. And, well, it's drastically different than anything we've ever written or performed, but I don't know, what do you think guys? Think this is a good crowd for it?”
The crowd explodes and Eddie laughs, high off their approval.
“Alright alright, ya convinced us,” he says before nodding to the band to start setting up for their new song. Gareth changes his black bass for an electric-red one, Jeff swaps his bass for the electric violin, and Mike starts up the simple, repetitive drumline with a bass boosted modification. Eddie switches his handheld microphone for a headset, eagerly waiting for his tour mate to return to the side stage.
The song starts off starts off slow, with a deep base undertone accentuated by an electric violin that Eddie thought feels so sexy once they get to the chorus. He's never performed it live before, only twice at practice before the concert tonight, but in his head it's going to be sexy. Mostly, he just had alot of feelings about one resident asshole Billy Hargrove that he needs to get out. The stage is where he healed.

⭐️ Things Fouth Wing Did Well
1. Violet
Violet is likable through and through and I commend Rebecca for being able to create a FMC with retaining and memorable qualities, as I was reading the book and learning more about the type of person Violet was it felt like I knew how she would react but not in a predictable way but more so in a "ohh she might do this" or "this could definitely happen" and it is just refreshing say the least. Throughout the story she's often seen as weak, fragile, frail so on so forth but the more time you spend with her you don't get that vibe, she had her limits but she also her her strengths. One of them being real brain power, what I mean by this is when Violet is faced with adversity she finds a way to overcome it by her own means. For example the Challenges, she knows she won't be able to beat any of them with her physical strength, so what does she do? Use that good ole' scribe knowledge that comes in handy more than once and poison's her opponent before actually fighting them. Then at the Gauntlet when she can't get over the chimney instead of self-pitying and hoping for the best she ( with a bit of in encouragement from our favorite broody boyfriend ) stab a knife into the side and makes it up. I can't stand when authors describe their FMC's as "cunning" and "witty" but seem to always being getting saved or simply have no clue what their doing when faced with a problem. Violet isn't a doormat either, she is teased and bullied often but can often see where their coming from but all the same she proves them wrong, first with the parphet, then the gauntlet, then with not one but TWO dragons to bond with.
2. Xander
Hot, broddy, masculine man that gives all the right vibes without coming across as toxic and controling? Yessssss, ugh. I'd say I have a problem with just how many secret's he kept from Violet but honestly I'd just be lying because I really understand, his family were the prisoners and he wanted to keep them safe even if he low key went the wrong way about it, I think his character from Violet's perspective is way less funny than it is from his own. When I was reading the bonuses in the back of my book and saw how he was arguing with Sagyle it made me laugh, he seemed alot less put together in the book then he was made out to be. AND ALSO, his nick name for her is good, Vio-let, Vio-lence, yess, and I think it matches her growth in the story. I can't tell yall how icky it is for the MMC to give her some horrible nickname that makes you cringe you have to DNF the book, it's not that important but it's worth mentioning.
3. Violet and Xander
They are soo good together and I think Xander's admiration of her is so perfect I could not get enough, they enemies to lovers in the book felt jusssst right and I once again commend Rebecca for being able to find a balance in what it's like when you're supposed to hat each other but simply, cannot. It didn't feel forced or like either of them were trying to be something they were not it felt natural and I love that.
4. The Lore
Oh my gosh. The ending? I wish I could order it right now because whhhaaaaaatt. The world building in Violet's monologue to keep herself calm was really smart to me, as well as when there are direct act's of violence occur and she begins to feel as things are amiss. The dragons in the story also play a huge part and as grumpy as Tarin is you seriously cannot help but love him along with Adarna and Sagyle. The powers and the training and the who thing that comes with it is simple but not to simple that your bored but not to complex that your confused, this goes for the ranks and where people get to stay and what not. Amazing.
⭐️ Things Fouth Wing Did Not So Well
1. The Huge Climatic Ending where Everything Is Revealed In One Go
I lowkey couldn't stand it when Violet was revealed in the middle of making out that all those fairy tale stories her dad you to read about the almighty super villains that sell their souls for indescribable power are real and not just some hoax and that the people they'v been fighting this whole time are actually the ones helping the citizens and not saiving them, and I hate that it was just forced all of a sudden then oop! Actually they're here right now! Fly or die people. Idk, it felt rushed to me and it was a bit annoyig to read but I liked the ending so I won't do to much. I would have preferred bits a pieces for her to put together ( which they had ) but the fact that it felt so spontaneous was hmmm, anyways.
