Dragalia Lost's 6th Anniversary

Never forget the bonds we forged, even in this new world.

So, apparently Persona 5 is doing a mobile game called Persona 5 The Phantom X (or just P5X).

Is it weird that my first thought is 'will this game fall victim to the Persona 5 Gacha Curse'?

For those that don't know it: very often, when a gacha game has a colab event with Persona 5, roughly a year later, that game either has its EoS occur, or announced.

I know this, because it happened with Dragalia, and that game deserved the world.

Its been an honor to experience this wonderful game alongside you all. Here's hoping one day we will be able to play it again one day. (hopefully on a console) Thank you Dragalia Lost. VIO RHYSE ALBERIA!

So Dragalia Lost is just over a day away from its EOS, and a part of me wants to get this off of my chest before then. Dragalia Lost was such a unique experience, in so many years of gaming nothing has ever gotten me hooked this much. Yet this game had, and I’m glad it did.

It was so unique, the gameplay was so much fun, nothing ever came close to the first time you unlocked shapeshifting. And the story just grabbed me and never let go. And the events were spectacular, fighting against giant enemies with so many people was so amazing!

The characters were all so unique and lovable, from the found family of the Accursed Archives, the brother sister pair with a Wish to the Winds, the emissaries from Hinamoto. The main cast especially was great, they all bounced off of one another so well and had great dynamics.

We got that 1st anniversary celebration and the fight against Chronos. I got destroyed by Nyx but the sheer spectacle and that desire to win was incomparable. And every anniversary after was spectacular, Forgotten truths Faith forsaken Dawn of Dragalia were such exciting times.

Then we got our first crossover with FEH and it was such an exciting time for the community. Who knows what else we could crossover with in the future, who’s gonna be playable, it was so much fun.

And the Trials, I never started HDT until the Agito were released and they were made easier but I wish I did sooner. Those fights were just awesome, fighting against your dragon allies to grow stronger and even unlocking them as playable dragons was cool. The Agito, easily the best fights in the game. It was an uphill fight but fighting against them, learning their patterns and finally winning was a blast. Then Expert and especially Master cranked it up and conquering that was the most fun I’ve had with the game at the time.

There’s just, so much about this game that I love and love that it did. And I’m glad I got to experience every last moment until the end, and I’m gonna miss it, I’m gonna miss it so much.

So I just wanna say, Dragalia Lost, and those who were a part of this games creation and development, thank you for those moments, and though goodbyes are bittersweet, I hope we can see the world of Alberia again, someday.

Since Dragalia's EoS, a friend of mine has started working on & sharing a project called the “Dragalia Lost Story Engine” with a few members of the community. It uses Ren’Py to bring DL characters to life in the same dialogue style we remember to tell new stories. Come check out his work so far!

Those Who Gave Their All.

So, that WIP I showed a while ago? after some workand a book about drawing chibi, it’s finished, for lack of a better word, considering my miniscule talent in drawing.

With just under two hours until Dragalia’s EoS.

I swear, if I had a dollar for every main character I got attached to who sacrificed themselves to save the concept of possibility/hope...

Puyo Confessionist & Nedrick Simp here (I waited until literally 2 AM to nab him), god this has been a ride,  a ride that I've been so happy to enjoy since way back during the first Lost Heroes event. I won't pretend that the main story is perfect in every aspect, but damn it hits hard (especially the ending. granted it could've been better but I'm happy with what we got), especially with the story events and character stories combined. As for the events themselves? Oh my goodness I loved them! I wish the whole Nyarly and Syndicate stuff was resolved, but considering EOS? Understandable. Regarding gameplay and characters? I don't even need to say much I love them. The former was fun and simplistic, and the latter is a fun mix of 50% Quirky and 50% Serious, leaving something for everyone. Sadly all things have to come to an end, but the positive note? I ended up having a good time both in the game, and in the community on occasion! Honestly I'm so happy I was able to play Draglaia Lost...

Happy 4 year anniversary Dragalia Lost! Thank you for all the Amazing memories.

I never imagined that this game would mean so much to me back then, now it means the world to me.

I hope one day we can visit this wonderful world again, Vio Rhyse Alberia!
