idk if anyone here has heard of dragalia lost but i used to play that game and it is shutting down after today. i haven’t played in almost 3 years but i made a lot of friends so it makes me big sad and i might rb art as a way of sad posting :’)

anyway here was one of my first mains. his name is orsem and he’s a good boy and uses a water dagger and has a tummy window (sound familiar? hehe) rip orsem

Well... There it goes.

I know this is just the way it goes with gachas, and this isn't even my first shut-down, but dragalia was the one that I treasured most dearly... So it still kind of hurts. I downloaded it day 1 on a whim and was instantly hooked.

This might be the first time for me that a gacha shuts down not due to poor quality, mismanagement, a bug, or something similar, just purely for not being profitable. Dragalia was stable, high quality, and was backed by both cygames and nintendo... I wholeheartedly expected it to not shut down until it's 7th anniversary. Though even that was probably optimistic on my end.

I had soured on it quite a bit lately due to the art directors(?) involvement in NFTs and crypto shilling. iykyk. But seeing his artstyle did start pissing me off so I had been logging on less and less anyways. Doesn't make me any less attached to the game and characters though.

...I don't really think I have any unique sentiments to add. I'll miss it. I'm not sure any gacha will ever fill the same niche for me.. dragalia had the perfect balance of simple to complex for it to work as my "daily" game. Not to mention how much I loved some of the characters... I guess Orsem and Elias alts are never happening��🤙At least Ieyasu and Alexis got some cute ones. Even Mariti!! ...rare case of me not really liking any of the girls beyond like, Cerby, Vampy, and Mym... hm.

Whelp. That's how life goes. I'm gonna miss it.
