I turned on OPB so my mom could watch Grantchester and caught the tail end of Call the Midwife. I literally jumped up shouting when I saw this guys sweater, recognizing it from Ravelry. I wonder if it was made specifically for this production? I actually tried to find some costuming articles, but no luck :(

On this shortest day of the year, we raise a glass to the return of the light. As we look forward to the warmer days to come, and with an aquavit in hand, we wish you and your families a Glædelig Jul and look forward to seeing you in the New Year! We will be closed from December 22 – January 1 inclusive, leaving our resident dalahest to watch over the distillery. He’s not much one for talking, but then again… he's a little hoarse 🙃🎄🥳

First swatch for Vintersol. I almost got gauge. Half a number up on the needles (for the colorwork anyway) and I think I'm there. This was mostly a swatch for the colors anyway. I'm really happy with them, except for the acorn brown at the bottom of the stalks. I think I'm gonna spin some nature black finewool and see if that won't fly better (maybe mix in just a hint of black gotland? That usually gives a good Icelandic wool texture. And the yellow is 3-tr svensk ull anyway. Last FO of February: 18 days from start to dry and ready to wear. I raised the wool, dyed the yarn, and knit the sweater. My husband joked when it was drying on the table that the sweater gave new meaning to "farm to table". 333. Mackmyra Vintersol

En flaska jag fick av familjen på fars dag 2019. Mackmyra som jag tycker blandar och ger rätt friskt. Den senaste jag provade, vilket var Intelligens, tyckte jag var riktigt bra så nu ska det bli kul att prova den här säsongswhiskyn från pionjärerna inom svensk whisky de senaste 20 åren.

Doften bjuder på mörka bär. Björnbär och lite svarta vinbär. En svag ton av lite trä. Lite blött papper…
