My brain when I am introduced to the British vampire character with long dark hair: we definitely aren't gonna develop a crush on this guy
My heart: ok got it
1 week later
My heart: hey, you remember how you said we weren't gonna develop a crush on the hot British vampire....
My brain: *exasperated sigh* please tell me we didn't develop-
My heart: WE DEVELOPED A CRUSH ON HIM. YEP.... please don't be mad

Not too long ago, the Time Princess game released an addition to the Shadows of London story (after 3 years), which I safely passed.
Tumblr media
Vincent is my choice throughout, so I decided to draw him (even though it took me over a month to get used to his new appearance…).
Tumblr media
is what started the drawing above

My vote is for Vincent. Why? Here's my reasoning
Vicent: He's an og. He's a part of one of the older stories. His personality is well developed with his shares of woes and triumphs. He is mysterious but still cares for others as he's an outlier of his race as he refuses to drink the blood of a human. As much as we know about him and the elder, we don't know much about him. He still remains a mystery, which helps us readers stay interested in him since we want to know what and who he is, "did he kill Jesse?" Or "Who the hecky hack is Hawke?" Are common questions we ask of him. Also, who doesn't love a vampire?
Charles: He's your typical bad boy apart of a time period that is over romanticized. Sure, he's a good character as with Vincent. They both share trails and tribulations with his own shares of accomplishments. But then again, we know a lot about him, not in the hooks, but in history together since Charles Vane was a real historical figure. Sometimes, in certain chapters, he just makes me... uncomfortable at times.

Pride and Prejudice
Classic and loose adaptions from 1940, 1967, 1980, 1995, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2012, 2016, 2018, 2019
The second of Jane Austen’s novels, first published in 1813, is the most often adapted, inspiring various different takes on it. The ones pictures above are detailed below:
Pride and Prejudice (1940 Film)
This black and white film departs from the original novel in some (or should I say many?) points
Written by Aldous Huxley and Jane Murfin, adapted from the stage adaptation by Helen Jerome; directed by Robert Z. Leonard
Starring Greer Garson as Elizabeth Bennet, Laurence Olivier as Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, Edward Ashley Cooper as George Wickham, Maureen O'Sullivan as Jane Bennet, Bruce Lester as Mr. Charles Bingley, Ann Rutherford as Lydia Bennet, Melville Cooper as Mr. William Collins, among others.

Lizzie’s videos amount to 100 episodes + 10 Q&A, but shorter series enrich the story by offering other characters’ perspectives, most notably Lydia’s (and also Georgiana’s). A playlist at Pemberley Digital’s Youtube channel features them all in order.
The series has also been adapted into a book, The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet (2014), and spawned a sequel novel, The Epic Adventures of Lydia Bennet (2015).

Features 100 episodes in the International cut. The telenovela has been broadcast in other countries and languages (such as Spanish) but as far as I know, not in English.
Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta (2019 TV Film)
Loose adaption set in modern Atlanta, USA. All-black cast. Written by Tracy McMillan, directed by Rhonda Baraka
Starring Tiffany Hines as Elizabeth Bennet, Juan Antonio as Will Darcy, Raney Branch as Jane Bennet, Brad James as Charles Bingley, Reginae Carter as Lydia Bennet, Carl Anthony Payne as Rev. Collins, among others.
*****
Personal favorites: 2005, then 1995. But also: The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, Orgulho e Paixão
I also enjoyed Atlanta and, while it’s been a while since I’ve seen Bride and Prejudice, it’s got Indian musical numbers so c’mon, one gotta watch it.
Back to the closer adaptions, despite its age, 1980 is also good! 1940 is...very different, but fun in its own way.
In fact, while I find some of these versions weaker, I could find enjoyment in all of them - but maybe that’s cause I’m a sucker for P&P.

Cami brushing and braiding Lilith’s hair <3
this is not what you requested exactly but it's also exactly what you need <3
“Your hair is getting rather long.” Suzanne says one day over dinner. She throws it out casually, as she passes the basket of bread over to Jillian.
Lilith stalls, hand poised over her fork. Suzanne isn’t wrong, her hair is too long, verging on unwieldy. It keeps getting in her eyes when she’s out for her morning runs. “I can cut it.” She offers softly, unsure of the proper protocol.
This part is harder, almost, than the act of leaving. Harder than stabbing herself in the stomach, somewhere that would bleed a lot but wouldn’t kill her too quickly. This waiting for the other shoe to drop is torturous.
Jillian raises an eyebrow at the silence that follows. “Do you want to cut it?”
Lilith shakes her head no before she can school herself. She’s had her hair cropped short for years, just above her jawline. He had cut it himself the first few times before passing the job off to Vincent when he got bored.
Jillian shrugs. “You don’t have to cut it then.” Her attention turns to Michael. "You, though, need a haircut desperately."
He smiles, all of seven years old with two missing teeth and eager to show them off to anyone who would see. "No I don't! My hair looks fine."
"I'm shocked you can maintain eye contact with that curtain you call bangs." Jillian fires back.
In the ensuing chaos, Lilith thought that her soft “okay" would go unnoticed.
“I could braid it for you, keep it out of your eyes.” Suzanne offers softly. “Or I just opened a new packet of hair bands, I’ll put a few in your bathroom.”
After dinner, once she and Michael have dealt with the dishes, she finds Suzanne in her office. It’s less an office and more of a desk set up in the corner of the library, but in her head every person in the house needs their space. Space is tightly regimented. Jillian has her lab, Michael has most of the third floor, Lilith has her room. Everything in its place, exactly as it should be.
Lilith knocks gently on a bookshelf a few feet away to get Suzanne’s attention.
“Oh, Lilith,” Suzanne puts down her book, some first edition that Jillian no doubt bought for her, and looks up, “what can I do for you?”
Lilith taps her thumb against each of her fingertips in order, counting in her head. “I, um.” She stops for a second, straightening up. “I was wondering if you would be so kind as to braid my hair, I tried earlier but I… it’s been a while.”
“Of course, child,” Suzanne nods, putting her book to the side and gesturing towards a nearby foot stool, “have a seat.”
Lilith sits and tries to relax. “What were you reading?” She asks, willing her shoulders to relax as Suzanne carefully drags her fingers through her hair.
Suzanne just grabs the book off the desk and hands it to her. “If you’d like to read, I’d like to hear it.”
Lilith turns the copy of Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime and Other Stories around in her hands. “I thought Oscar Wilde only did plays and Dorian Gray.”
“He was a talented comedic writer as well,” Suzanne murmurs, more focused on her work than her words, “start with The Canterville Ghost, I think you’d like it.”
Lilith pages through the book until she finds the receipt Suzanne was using for a book mark. She begins softly. “When Mr. Hiram B. Otis, the American Minister, bought Canterville Chase, everyone told him he was doing a very foolish thing, as there was no doubt at all that the place was haunted…”
Camila’s buried under a pile of blankets when Lilith enters the bedroom, hair still wet from her hasty cold shower.
“Hey baby”
“Hey, mind if I turn on a light?” Lilith’s been up for nearly 56 hours, her hands have mostly stopped shaking but she wants to make sure they’re clean before she collapses into bed.
Camila flips on the bedside lamp, eyes still mostly on the laptop screen. It takes a moment for Lilith to place the language, English with a grating accent. An American reality tv show then, probably Vanderpump Rules if she had to guess.
Lilith looks down, checking her hands one last time before she declares them clean enough. She collapses all but face first into the bed, causing Camila to bounce slightly.
“You’re going to hate your hair in the morning if you don’t put it up.” Camila mutters, attention still mostly on the laptop screen, but a hand emerging out of the pile of blankets to rub Lilith’s back.
A mostly unintelligible grumble comes from the pillow, something Camila vaguely translates to mean “Too tired, deal with it tomorrow.”
Emerging from her cocoon of blankets, Camila searches around the side table for a hair tie.
Lilith is already asleep, mouth agape and snoring softly. Camila just stares fondly for a moment, brushing a flake of red from behind her ear that she must’ve missed in the shower. Lilith would really be annoyed in the morning if she didn’t deal with her hair now.
She draws an affectionate hand across the broad pane of Lilith’s shoulders. The other woman doesn’t stir. Lilith’s affinity for sleeping face down makes the whole task rather easy to Camila.
A simple braid, like the one Mother Superion wears, just enough to keep Lilith’s hair back, just enough to not wake her from her slumber.

Penna Luna
"Long time ago, Magic in Fabrana was forbidden. Until the Mayor of Cromer forcibly removed the rule, just a year later, his son became the most powerful mage.
The saying goes, ‘Those who are Worthy, receive such blessings from the Heavens.’ But some undignified people see us as threats and look for any chance to erase us. Therefore, to protect us, and our culture, a young man who wishes his name to be a secret, formed a club, named Penna Luna. Our magic is as important as our arts as they are connected. People with wonderful talents in arts shall be sponsored by the club. And our arts and culture shall live long. Thank you.”
Chairwoman Lindsey Vincent Saville stepped down from the podium as the crowd cheered and clapped. Her son, Arsene Vincent Saville guided her to her seat.
"That wasn't the complete quote, was it?” Arsene whispered.
“‘Those who are Worthy, receive such blessings from the Heavens, and thus are worthy of ruling the earth.’ is the complete quote." Chairwoman Lindsey said.
“No wonder the obsidian circle hates us.” Arsene smirked.
Lindsey looked at him, eyeing him suspiciously. “Where is your Amulet?”
“Ah, that…" he scratched his neck. "I gave it to someone who is supposed to protect me here…." He mumbled
"What difference would it make?" Lindsey sighed.
"Well he will be guarding me, i won't die but he might get hurt so to protect him-and myself of course I made this very difficult decision to-"
"Ah yes, you've explained yourself enough, dear son. Where is your guardian angel anyway?" She said, eyes searching for that one person.
"Oh." He said, smirking. "Over there." Lindsey followed his gaze. Very far ahead stood a young man, wearing a 3 piece suit, circular glasses perched on his nose. Eyes begging to leave as fast as possible. Lindsey knew he threatened the boy immediately after looking at his very bored but alert eyes. She turned to look at his son, who's whole face was covered in amusement.
"Why him? Is he trained?" She asked.
"Well," he rested his elbow on the armrest and placed his slender fingers on his lips, hiding a smile that was seen by Lindsey.
"Luna is a nobleman, he has to present here, Stella is also a nobleman, Caelum is organizing this event, and me, Solis is here and him, Nox is neither a nobleman nor someone supposed to be invited. Moreover, I did him a favor so he ought to do this for me."
"Poor boy, he got involved with you."
"Do you think I might be torturing him or something?" He turned to look at her with a bewildered expression.
"Aren't you?” She raised a brow.
Arsene scoffed and looked away as if he was guilty. Lindsey was called in a separate school council meeting leaving Arsene alone.
When Arsene finally tried to put all his focus on Him, Nox, again, he was gone from his previous position. He tried looking for him but he couldn't move from his seat. He suddenly felt a presence behind him.
"Do not move, Saville." Said a voice sternly.
"Are you getting back at me Nox?" Arsene smiled
"I said don't move. Someone is spying on you." Nox said.
"Who is it, and why are you here?" Arsene kept looking forward as if nothing serious was going on.
"The man is Wentworth Coombes. He was invited instead of the head of Galriara Academy Of Spells, Patrick Hatteclyff. He isn't a magic user."
"Patrick is suspicious." Arsene said.
"No, Patrick is stupid. He didn't notice a man from The Obsidian Circle infiltrated the magic school." Nox said. He was panicking but was trying his best not to show and he was successful.
"And how did you notice it?"
"Every normal person I've met isn't from the magic society or from the Obsidian Circle. I can recognise magic users as they aren't shy to hide all the magic glamor in the Cromer capital especially. But The Obsidian Circle's people have this tiny, almost unseeable tattoo behind their right ear. It is an olive wreath. I can't believe no one has ever noticed that by now."
"Damn those people. We are not doing anything but supporting a bunch of artists regardless of the person being a magic user or not. Why do they have a problem with such a nice act?" Arsene sighed and tried getting up but was pushed back down by Nox.
"Because they believe that it is a front and it is. Do not move." Nox pressed his hand on Arsene's shoulder, hard.
"I supported you didn't I?" He winced, removing Nox's hand.
"Yes and it is suspicious. No matter how grand your art and ancient culture preservation club is, The Obsidian Circle still considers people like you a threat. Who knows what you people might do."
"Wow, if I hadn't snatched you in time, you might have joined The Obsidian Circle." Arsene laughed.
"Yes, and I'd be perfect for it and my first target would have been you."
"Ouch Nox, you hurt my feelings."
"Shhh! He is coming here, don't move, and don't look back no matter what happens make my job easier please." Nox pleaded and Arsene obliged. Nox stood as straight as he could as Wentworth Coombes passed by him. Nox noticed a shining object hiding in his sleeves as he passed by. Nox slightly shifted his position so all of his body was now covering Arsene. The shining object was also sharp and it pierced him instead of Arsene. Wentworth didn't care and moved away quickly.
Nox tightly gripped Arsene's both shoulders and he felt the pain hitting. "I informed Luna and Stella but they are a bit busy with the guests. Caelum has already set his eyes on him." He felt the pain tearing him apart but he neither winced nor cried."You will leave after your mother comes but you have to go and help Caelum, he can't be alone." He was panting.
"What about you? Will you go home and rest? Was this job too much for you?" Arsene scoffed.
"Yeah you jerk… I'll go to rest. This…. This was too much…"
Arsene felt something was wrong. "What is wrong with you? Why is your voice like that?"
"Like what?" Nox felt his legs going weak and his mind numb.
"Like you…. I don't know, like you are in pain-" as soon as the words left his mouth, Nox collapsed on his shoulder. Arsene quickly turned behind him to see a breathless and pale Nox.
"What the hell?!? How did this happen?!!" He got up and went to Nox and held him in his arms.
"I figured The Obsidian Circle knows that you might cast a protection spell stuff so to defeat you they might bring something more powerful. And my hunch was correct. I placed the Amulet back in your breast pocket so that if I wouldn't be there, you might be still protected. The Amulet might be able to keep you safe. So to be better safe than sorry, I did my job."
".....Fuck you Zenith Kahler. I gave it to you so you could protect yourself!! I knew you would protect me but who would protect you?! That's why I gave it to you!!"
"But it was my job not yours." He panted.
"Fuck…." Arsene carried him on his back. The whole event was now in ruckus. A person was stabbed and Arsene Vincent Saville was carrying him out. "You are smart but sometimes so dumb it physically hurts me."
"But …. The event."
"You are going to the hospital with me. Fuck this event, fuck everything, fuck you." Arsene spat out angrily.
"Heh… you can try.." Nox, Zenith Kahler mumbled as his eyes failed to remain open.
Arsene took his personal car to the hospital and stayed a day with him. Wentworth Coombes was caught, and Penna Luna were waiting for Arsene to arrive to take care of the matter himself.

Diesel is a brand known worldwide for its creative, groundbreaking fashion and marketing. To celebrate the 50th birthday of its president founder Renzo Rosso, we are proud to present Fifty : a book that sums up and displays the unique Diesel attitude and lifestyle reflected in its collections, its business approach and its creativity applied to virtually anything, from communication to interior design. For the first time, the story of a company whose success has been built and thrives on creativity is offered in one publication. Fifty is made up of five chapters that convey the Diesel lifestyle and philosophy in an unconventional way. The book's first chapter features an insightful portrait of company visionary Renzo Rosso, followed by a second dedicated to the key moments in Diesel's history, from its 'jeans & workwear' beginnings to its current premium positioning. The third chapter presents the brand nnovative communication and retail approach while the fourth focuses on the company's long-lasting support of young creative talent worldwide. A concluding chapter presenting Diesel's views of the future rounds out the book. Each section ends with a face-to-face interview between Rosso and a prestigious (or, in pure Diesel style, simply unconventional) personality, including the Dalai Lama, i-D magazine founder Terry Jones, Alexander McQueen and a few, well kept, secrets. The combination of its rich graphic visuals and innovative design (a joint effort of Diesel's internal creative team and Spanish creative collective Vasava) with texts written by Renzo Rosso and international guest authors and compiled by English writer Mark Tungate make Fifty an inspiring portrait of one of the most inventive and successful companies in the fashion industry the world over. The book itself is a real 'heavyweight' featuring a large hardcover format, impressive double gatefolds and an enclosed DVD – (a true collectors object).Contributors: Dalai Lama, Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith, Alexander McQueen, Martin Margiela, Bono Vox, Vincent Gallo, Naomi Cambell , Terry Jones, Kevin Roberts, Peter Saville, Dazed & Confused, Style & The Family Tunes, Vanidad, Vogue.

“Let me be the only one To keep you from the cold... Now the floor of heaven's lain With stars of brightest gold... They shine for you -- they shine for you --  They burn for all to see! Come into these arms again And set this spirit free...” ~“Love Song for a Vampire” by Annie Lennox

Batticus!! My darlings, how long it’s been since I’ve drawn my favorite Victorian men!! @cursebreakerfarrier
Okay, so I recently got hard-core into a mobile game called Dress Up Time Princess, which features you entering multiple stories and passing levels through collecting and crafting different outfits. I first got into it after finding out the Marie Antoinette starter story featured my historical crush the Marquis de Lafayette (though WOW, is game!Lafayette absolutely nothing like ma chere Marquis at all! I’m really kind of miffed by that), but one of my absolute favorite storylines that I’ve played so far is the one called Shadows of London. I took a liking to the (kind of obvious) vampire character Vincent Savile from the get-go, and at one point in the story, we get awarded THIS picture of him -- and yeah, I just had to draw Bat bridal-carrying Atticus the same way. Don’t judge me!!
I personally imagine that Atticus had been helping out his old contacts at the Department of Magical Law Enforcement with some mission centered in Hogsmeade when he got blasted right off his feet during a duel in some somewhat elevated location and Bat had to catch Atticus right out of the air before he got too badly hurt. Obviously Bat can’t hold Grim very long because touching = feeling and hearing his heartbeat through his skin and smelling his blood, which = blood lust and immense pain and discomfort for Bat, but damned if my vampire man’s gonna let anyone hurt his buddy! And damned if he’s going to not take the opportunity to poke a bit of fun at Atticus while carrying him like a Victorian damsel too. 😏
“Ah, Grim -- I was hoping I’d catch you.”
