SoL community how are we doing :)))) (some story spoiler thoughts under the cut)

I looooove everything about chapter 3....

1) I think they did justice to Jesse (I'm still not through all the season so I haven't seen Everything, but so far it's great)

2) I've been playing trust Edward almost until the end and the fucked up crazy man he becomes is just. delicious. I really enjoy the drama 😈

3) outfits are pretty, even though I still can't perfect some of the stages which pisses me off lol

4) the themes they showed in the later chapters?? police brutality ? lower class separation and the horrible living conditions, having to choose between saving or killing patients with too little medicine/resources, the wickedness of some seemingly selfless people

Anywayyy great story, I'd love to play something new next but idk, any recs?

ok so i finished sol2 and here's most of my thoughts;

I liked it. Was it perfect? Absolutly not. Was it like I wanted? Kind of but no. But it was satisfiying and it worked well, especially Edward's route (3-15 to 3-22)

I was a bit dissapointed that, even at the end, we didn't see much of Jesse, who is the book macguffin past chapter 1, but I know he's not the most important part of it so I rewrite this part in my head

However, I really enjoyed the focus on Lavinia and discovering other parts of her that aren't just mc's dead mom.

I liked Roger, but I felt like he overshadowed Priscilla who still doesn't do much beside being irritated at stuff... wich is a shame, I wanted to see more. The 'Angel outside the house' was a fun part for that but felt very out of mood for the book.

Yes I liked the twist that Edward was responsible for the epidemic all along I stand by that and I'll be defending this forever it made sense! I know a lot like Edward but what I liked was that he was a lying, manipulative, morally crooked with a weird life philosophy based on trauma and pseudo science!

Vincent's (or Jesse's?) route was not bad but kinda missed the oumf of Edward's route's climax. This route explained Roger's involvment and Vincent's past and the vampire part of the story, but Edward's explained waaaay more the new epidemic. Kinda wished there was a bit more balance (like with sacred beast where each route explained one element of the story)

I'm dissapointed that they didn't reuse the Jesse album art in other places that in the chapter 2 bad ending :( it was really good and could have fitted elsewhere, even in a not bad ending

THEY FORGOT THE BOOK!!!!

Like I said, wish we could have seen more of Jesse in chapter 3, because in Vincent's route, he doesn't appear after the showdown and I'm dissapointed.... At least he has a great conclusion in Edward's route's epilogue, like when he bids his farewell to him after explaining the pain he felt being perceived like that by his oldest friend.... the hand touch ;-;

Conclusion: It wasn't a bad ending, it was satisfiying for 90% of it. I think they did a good job (it still isn't ancient dream, but) it has a very special place in my heart and I can die in peace now

Ooooohhh the writer ate with this dialogue. I love how they point out the hypocrisy and the evilness of nobility (yes, even our mc).

This dialogue with the infected man is fire. YEAH EAT THE RICH!! Fuck them alllll

anyone else kinda dreading shadows of london chapter 2

like dont get me wrong i WANT THIS SO BAD. but also. it's been years of buildup, what if it's not everything we wanted? like there's been headcanons about jesse being a vampire or about him being another time traveler, which is so fucking cool!!! what if what they did doesnt live up?? or like what if they forget details? and we all know these people keep using ai to pump out more garbage, when if it's just a jumbled pile of dogshit generated by ai instead of actually written by someone who cares about the story???

SOL chapter 3 spoilers but like what made them think that Edward was, in any way, redeemable? Like "ok he's probably the single most terrible, moral-less, cruel person in London, nay, the world right now, but he's still kinda hot 😳"

Babygirl if you had given a dying child anesthesia a few days ago he'd have killed you without remorse like 19 dialogue vignettes ago. They should have let us shoot him, WHY was he only in jail for a few years dear god.

Also why'd they put Jesse in jail with him? Free my boy he did nothing wrong!
