General Dating Headcanons | Black Hat

Black Hat X Reader fandom: Villainous/Villainos words: 1132 cw: none!! enjoy! a/n: Hi hi!! ive really been wanting to do headcanons for Black Hat for a while, I'm open to asks and requests so dont be afraid to drop a suggestion in!!

(Platonic):

Black hat is by no means an easy boss. He’s ruthless, unmerciful and bitter, and you are no exception in the Eldrich’s case.

At first.

When you were first hired to be an employee at Black Hat Organization, Black Hat treats you as he would any of his other employees.

With zero respect.

He has very little tolerance for inefficiency

But you were absolutely determined to live up to his impossible expectations.

Maybe you spent a little extra time organizing his paperwork, or added a smidge more arsenic to his tea than usual (he had a sweet tooth for poison occasionally) and maybe you even bothered to dust some of his prized artifacts and tomes from his glory days as villain, making them look as new as the day he got them, and so many other things you did that seemed to make his life a little bit more stress-free.

At first, he thought nothing of it, it wasn't uncommon that his henchmen would grovel at his feet and suck up to him, it amused him really. 

But overtime the eldritch realizes that you wanted to do these little tasks. 

But why?? He was the most feared being in existence, and you went out of your way to do the smallest task to appease him. You seemed to worm your way into his thoughts, even as he sat perched at his desk in the wee hours of the night. Why were you just so…sweet! You should be cowering in fear!!

Speaking of fear, he loooooooves to scare the shit out of you, popping up when you least expect, out of the shadows, morphing into some unspeakable abomination of eyes and mouths (possibly) scarring you, always got a kick out of him.

After working for him for some time you were the only one, he seemed to tolerate, you managed to do your job with little to no flaw or mistake, unlike his scientist.

Dr. Flug admittedly was slightly envious.

He’d never admit it but, Black Hat enjoys holding conversation with you from time to time. He allows you to ask questions, most of them being about all the things he had witnessed and accomplished in the eons he’s been alive. He almost admired the way your eyes lit up in wonder as he explained. Almost.

You enjoyed these little private conversations too, occasionally the demon would ask a question or two about yourself, which you would happily answer. He may show no interest on the outside, but on the inside he's curious. Something he rarely feels.

He does have a reputation to uphold however, and still threatens, yells and demeans you just as he would any of his other employees.

Gotta keep you on your toes, ya know? 

But deep down you know. You know that he secretly enjoys your company and is too stubborn to actually admit it.

You even dare to go as far and say that he was a friend. Don't let him hear you say that though.

When I say this man is conflicted

The mere thought of love made Black Hat’s face morph into an ugly scowl, something he thought was near impossible for him to ever experience. The man had no heart for goodness's sake!

Oh, but then you had to weasel yourself into his life, his home, with your sweetness, didn't you?

Let me be clear when I say that this old man has never experienced these kinds of feelings before in his lifetime, and when he does, he thinks he’s possibly dying.

Did I also mention dramatic??

When realization dawns on him, he is absolutely floored, and the first thing he does is avoid you like the plague, which confuses you and raises a bit of concern. He rarely calls you to his office, and when he does, he avoids eye contact or just faces away from you entirely, barely acknowledging your presence.

Definitely becomes moodier, and more irritable as his feelings fester.

It’s not until you confront him one evening, when the manor is still and quiet, everyone having retreated to their respective rooms hours ago. That he finally confesses.

And being the extremely old fashioned eldritch he is, he formally asks to court you, how could you deny such a tempting proposition from the lord himself??

Of course, you say yes, why wouldn't you?? It’s an honor to be courted by Lord Black Hat!

Surprisingly, nothing changes much at first, he’s still very new to these feelings.

You both come to the agreement to keep your courtship strictly private and away from prying eyes, as I’ve said the man has a reputation to uphold.

God forbid Demencia finds out either. 

With all that being said, you both take things very slowly, which thankfully you were patient and understanding about, he's experiencing all these things for the first time.

It’s a good thing you're there to help guide him, right?

He may not have ever been in a relationship, but he isn't stupid. This demon is a straight up gentleman, and extremely chivalrous. Call it old-fashioned if you must, But the man is a charmer.

Despite his villainous persona, Black Hat shows rare moments of unexpected softness when he's alone with you.

He might not admit it, but he secretly enjoys quiet evenings, perhaps reading or just spending time together in one of his private studies. He personally enjoys reading the Necronomicon to you.

Black hat also has an uncanny ability to find and present unique, often mysterious gifts. They might be rare artifacts, darkly enchanted trinkets, or even personalized items that reflect his understanding of your tastes. You keep every single one of them.

He’s surprisingly a good listener and remembers just about anything you tell him.

Which by the way, this man spoils you.

When it comes to dates, Black Hat goes all out. He arranges extravagant, exclusive events, whether it's a candlelit dinner on a rooftop or a private screening at the manor. 

He once brought you to another dimension to view the downfall of an alien civilization, how romantic!

Black Hat, in his own twisted way, is fiercely protective over you. He might not show it overtly, but anyone who dares to even look at you with disdain will face the Eldrich’s fiery wrath.

Overall, Black Hat is surprisingly a good lover and partner. Your life never seems to be dull with him around, and you're incredulously grateful and honored to be able to see this side of him, even if it's behind closed doors. He has a hard time conveying his feelings and being vulnerable, but you're patient and understanding and eager to help guide him.

He never would have thought love was possible for him until you came along.

Archenemy Stealing Is Totally Treated Like Boyfriend Stealing

Since the manual puts in romantic subtext to archenemies, I imagine a villain stealing away a hero from a villain would be treated as cheating.

Ian And Jack: Two Love Interests Who Don't Love Themselves

When it comes down to it both guys will probably be opposed to each other, but I notice one thing they share in common is that they don't really love themselves. Seriously, I think the game is making parallels where each of them form an unhealthy bond with the player because of the fact that they don't really see the true selves as worthy of being loved.

We already know from what we have past scene that both guys have had a history of seeing themselves in the past unworthy of love. For Jack it's his past as Joseph Cullman who was loved by no one in his community, not even his parents. The same thing with Ian who had no one but the m/c to love due to even his mom being an abusive pos who belittled and controlled him. They both latch onto the main character because overall they no true love for themselves. Jack in his case hides it more better than Ian with his sunny persona and faux confidence. They both are clingy and will do anything to win the main character's love. With Jack we know it's by any means, and he probably will be the main antagonist because of it. It makes me think that a theme in this game is how one shouldn't latch onto other people to feel wanted and that they should learn to love themselves.

Even though it's from a different show, I do think this line is good thing that sums up what the main character eventually spells out to them both that the can't let themselves be consumed by self-loathing and latch onto other people to help their own self-esteem. Jack needs to embrace he was Joseph and that he doesn't need to pretend to be perfect to be loved, while Ian as well shouldn't attach himself so much to the player to feel validation. I kind of hope in the good endings that this could lead to a healthier relationship with both guys whoever they choose.

I feel like demencia hides how smart she is

Like I imagine she hides her intellect level fear that Flug and black hat will dumb her down for real. Leaving her nothing more than a mindless tool for killing.

I hope we get more character development for her. Her character has the potential to be more than just a comedic relief.

I just thought... can you imagine Black Hat being monogamous?

What I mean is that it has monogamy, monogamists are animals that fall in love once in their life

Honestly, that would be so cute, I know he probably doesn't feel anything because he's a supervillain and he's even said that feelings are worthless.

But I can't help but think that Black Hat's species (which is not known exactly) could be monogamous, that he could only love one person in his entire life.

She’s a very dramatic little. If you tell her she can’t do something she’ll fall dramatically to the floor and sob

When playing hide and seek she can sometimes be too good of a hider. She’ll be giggling in the top cabinet while she hears you screaming her name

If she’s 3 or under she needs to be padded, which she’s never happy about

She loves monster high dolls and has a neat collection of them sitting on her shelf

She loves telling spooky stories and finds it funny when you pretend to get freaked out

Her favorite show when little is vampirina

If it’s raining outside she’ll beg to go out in the rain (you can’t refuse her please face)

After it rains she’ll collect snails and make a whole dramatic plot and then lets them go once she’s finished

If she’s extra fussy when it’s time to go to bed you’ll take her out for a midnight stroll with her in your arms or a stroller

She needs to have a nightlight in her room, preferably a yellow one so she can pretend it’s the sun and she’s an astronaut!

When she asks you to play with her she’ll get annoyed if you broke a rule she didn’t tell you about

Whenever she gets sent to timeout she acts like she’s just gotten a life sentence

When she’s tired but not sleep tired she’ll just lay on your lap until she wants to play again

She’s usually very helpful and always wants you to give her a task.

Sometimes you give her a list of stuff to do and she’ll be over the moon

Big arts and crafts fan

She likes cloudy weather because it’s the only time she can go outside without being burned

She gets very annoyed when you say she can’t do something. She thinks your being mean

Emberlynn Would Have Her Dreams Come True If She Were Living In Villainous

Seriously with the mount of the villains that fit a monster f*cker desire it would be a dream come true for Emberlynn, since you got characters like Miss Valdoom (vampire), Cai-man (a humanoid camain), Coyote (a nuclear zombie), Dark Phantom & Ghoul (fish people), Roxette (bat person), Bloodhound ( a hound woman), Chimera (shapeshifting experiment), El Nahual (a nahual) etc. Especially if she got to meet Black Hat himself and instantly joined because she wants to get in his pants. But let's just say she won't be welcomed by BH's biggest fangirl Demencia who would hate she's just thirsty for Black Hat as she is. I don't know if learning Demencia could be considered a monster girl would make Emberlynn as well crush on her since she seems to be generally into monsters regardless of gender. But she totally would be weirded out if Emberlynn started flirting with her as well, which would be ironic.

The skeleton and hat reminds me of Chopper from One Piece and his model bike is also Chopper's namesake. I would love to think Coyote is a fan of One Piece.

Chimera Was A Former Black Hat Institute Student

Seriously, I can imagine as a kid she was enrolled in there due to her mother being an influential evil scientist.

If she's around Flug's age she probably was a fellow student he was very familiar with. I like to think she's cordial with him due to not only his connection with her mother but also the fact that they went to school other.

If she was a student at that time I can also imagine she ran into Heed when she was still Cecilia, but didn't recognize her years later as a hero and again ironic if they were school mates since she's one of the first villains she brainwashed.

DR FLUG X READER GENERAL CRUSH HEADCANONS

So if you’ve seen the orientation videos, we see Flug constantly discouraging love and romance. Kind of like ‘villains can’t love people’ thing. So if he were to have a crush on someone, he would be conflicted on what to do. On one hand, he could confess to you and it could go well or not. On another he could just keep telling himself that ‘love is not Villainous!’ and avoid you til the feelings go away!

Not surprisingly he chooses the escape route and  (if you’re already friends) even when he does interact with you he always cuts it short or deflects any ‘why have you been ignoring me?’ questions. Saying he’s too busy with his work.

If you work for blackhat, it’s even more of a complication. Blackhat would definitely find out about you two sooner or later if you ever even spoke in an affectionate way to eachother.

If you’re a civilian, it’s still pretty hard to get him to open up about it,  though it’d be a tiny bit easier to keep his relationship with you private from blackhat, though make no mistake, blackhat has his suspicions. Whether he finds out about the two of you or not, be careful.
